Horrible service, ordered the same drink twice and it came differently both times and was disgusting Very cheap quality food and found hair in my dynamite prawns. The shisha had to be made 3 times because of a disposable pipe being reused.

I was there on 13th March i enjoyed the service with the most friendly person i have ever seen (Omar) although the place was busy Thank Omar thanks Anaya

Messaged the Lounge to ask them whether they’re showing the AJ v Usyk fight, he replied with a No. At the same time one of my friends whose a female messaged and he replies back with a Yes and asks her to contact the lounge for reservations. Discrimination when it comes to customers (ethnicity/sex). Disgusting especially in this day and age. STAY CLEAR.

We have visited this place for my husband birthday, we have loved the place but I really don’t know how to thank the staff and the owner, oh they are all amazing people. They ready made the night so special for us. We are Iranians and just to make the night special they even played Persian music. Thank you so much you guys are amazing and we will definitely come back again and will recommend you to everyone.

29/05/2021 It has changed from picture you see on here and Google to à football café with TV's everywhere showcasing a football match. Full of kids. White bright LED lighting, no decoration like you see in the pics. It become a coffee shop. Don't tavel for it.

If you wanna get robbed in broad daylight please make your way over to them! Food is good but not worth the price They won’t even let you leave once you go in rubbish service and rude employees not worth it. Save urself. We couldn’t. You can.

Been to most shisha lounges in London and this def one of the best. Excellent value for shisha even with £2 surcharge for disposable pipe. Most lounges rip you off for premium flavours.. but not here. We only ordered tea and desert both were good. But I am only interested in shisha else I would go to a proper restaurant for food. Lounge itself was huge and clean.. service is OK considering the size and then numbers of customers. Parking again is only an issue due to popularity.. but if are come peak times .. you should be able to find a space somewhere.. even if you gave to walk a little. A MUST if like myself you love shisha and want a comfortable and relaxing environment.

Worse customer service in London! I would avoid this place more than I would avoid the Coronavirus! Appalling staff and not a mask in site on the whole team, I guess they haven’t heard of the Virus just yet. I was told by staff to pay the bill before anything was delivered and the server would not start the Shisha until the bill was paid 😂 Hidden charges that are not displayed on the menus and you get charged £2 for the shisha pipe.I guess it’s create a demand and charge for it. Food was cold and when I mentioned this to the server he said that’s not good it should be coming out hot but did nothing about it. Truly the worst experience I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. On a positive note the venue is amazing and looks new and luxurious but if I owned/managed this venue I’d be very worried about the future with this kind of service.

The lounge is situated in such an awkward place in an industrial area where parking is almost non-existent. First impression is that it looked and felt like an airport lounge. The seats were comfortable, service was overall efficient, food was alright, shisha wasn’t that bad either, but the prices were quite steep.

I had an awful experience. The food was not nice at all, neither the shisha, it was so overpriced and the service just was not great either. It is so hard to find as well. Please do yourself a favour and don’t go here. You will regret it.

Había escuchado cosas buenas sobre este lugar de un amigo, así que cuando Eid se puso al día, decidimos ir aquí.Cuando entré, en realidad parecía bastante decente, bien amueblado y presentable.Cuando nos sentamos nos dijeron que nos preguntaron qué nos gustaría, luego nos dijeron que no podíamos pagar con tarjeta (lo cual es sorprendente para un restaurante hoy en día) pero pensamos que está bien. Luego nos dijeron que teníamos que pagar por adelantado incluso antes de recibir algo (esto incluía el cargo por servicio, que es aún más extraño). Todos fuimos y pedimos postres también. Los postres también eran subestándar en el mejor de los casos. Honestamente, me sorprendió lo terrible que era.Además de eso, los camareros no sabían los precios de los postres e intentaron decirle a mi amigo que el precio en el menú es incorrecto y que él tiene razón. A lo que el camarero finalmente admitió y dijo que cometió un error, el precio en el menú es correcto. Entonces todo eso fue por nada.A lo largo de nuestra visita, nadie vino y nos visitó para ver si necesitábamos algo. Tuvimos que llamar constantemente al personal con el que parecían empeorar. Aunque ya nos han cobrado por el servicio, pero no quieren servirnos.Absolutamente terrible, no volveré otra vez

First of all I want to start by saying that I wanted to leave no stars at all; sadly you have to leave a minimum of 1 star and for this place it’s being really generous. The service is atrocious, the food/dessert/shisha all dead and if you want to visit possibly one of the worst shisha lounges in London then it’d be one to remember. Before you even order the waiters would have their hands out to take your money like some begs. That’s including the service charge which you pay before you're given any service and trust me it was non exisistant. Anyways the moment they take your money they’re gone and nowhere to be seen like don’t be expecting a postcard wherever the hell they’ve run to. Literally would have to get up and look for them and ask for help, but on all honestly save your energy because your better off sitting down cause the staff are nothing but useless. Me and my group of friends ordered 3 shisha’s and there’s no better way of saying this other than that they were all deadly. Literally tasted like it was burnt like a barbecue. Like damn made me cough so much, tasted no flavour at all. All of them. They were all the same. How is that even possible. Did they deep fry the flavour or something. The amount of times we had to complain and that’s if we found someone to complain to. And for everyone’s information you have to find the right person to complain to. Anyways there was something obviously wrong with all 3 of our shisha’s and we finally get a staff member over explaining that it was in a cancerous state. So this staff member was like I can’t do anything to fix this problem i’ll get the shisha guy and he’ll sort it out. 20 minutes later a staff member is sent to our table after we had to search for him. This was the shisha guy. He comes over and smokes the shisha, fiddles about with the pipe and tells us he’ll send the coal guy over because the foil is hot (wait what?). Anyways we wait for the coal guy and this dude took mad long to come. He finally arrives and again like the previous staff member smokes the pipe, fiddles about with the pipe but this time changes the coals and quite basically runs away before we have had the chance to try it. My mate tells me it’s probably fixed. I had the displeasure to try it first. It was still crap. Next up came the flavour guy. Like his 2 colleagues before him he smokes the shisha, fiddles about with the pipe, calls for new coals, smokes it some more and fiddles a bit more with the pipe. To be honest, I didn’t think this guy knew what he was doing. He calls for someone who was possibly the person in charge at the time and he came over and tells us everything is fine like we’re a bunch of idiots. What happened after was we were given fresh flavours after they admitted it was burnt and believe it or not it came back the same. Yes it did. All of them. At this point I had given up. These lot couldn’t make shisha to save their lives. Certainly wouldn’t be going back there. Other points to consider is that it’s CASH ONLY. Furthermore whilst eating I noticed a few spiderwebs with spiders right above me on the chandeliers. They obviously don’t clean the place up to standards. Not very appetising to say the least.

El peor servicio recibido en el lugar sheesha toman el dinero por adelantado por cada cosa que pides. Así que cada vez que haces un pedido, se paran allí con las manos extendidas. Una vez que se ha tomado el dinero, ya no se ven cambios en el carbón ni actualizaciones del servicio, simplemente lo dejan a menos que vaya a buscarlos. Parece un lugar donde están lavando dinero. Finalmente la comida y el desierto son rubíes. El interior se ve bien y eso es lo que estás pagando.

Mi mejor amigo y yo vinimos aquí para celebrar mi cumpleaños el sábado 10 de agosto. El mayor error de todos. Condujimos desde otra ciudad, como nos gustaba venir a Basrah Lounge hace años. Es seguro decir que NUNCA volveremos a visitar!En primer lugar, fuimos recibidos por un "portero" que registró mi maleta a las 7 pm. ¿Para qué? Quién sabe. Nunca revisé mi maleta en busca de un maldito restaurante. Debería haber visto esa bandera roja de "ambiente hostil y poco acogedor"Entramos y notamos que el interior había cambiado de lo que recordamos por última vez. Avión horrible como el sofá y un descuidado, MUY TACKY, intento de ser "elegante", es justo decir que me sentí como en un salón de postres "Kaspers" o "Creams", pero mucho más pegajoso, no un restaurante / sheesha premium descansar como se escriben para ser.Independientemente del interior, estuvimos allí para comer y un buen ambiente. Nos recibió Hamoody (o al menos eso es lo que dice su etiqueta de nombre). Nos da los menús de comida y sheesha, y antes de que lleguemos a la mitad de los menús, corre hacia nosotros y nos pregunta "qué sheesha te gustaría" - ** dado el hecho de que este lugar se llama a sí mismo un restaurante de Medio Oriente, no solo el salón Sheesha.Dijimos que no vinimos por sheesha, luego nos dice que tenemos que pedirle a sheesha que se siente allí. Nos sorprendió que un establecimiento que se llama a sí mismo un restaurante nos estaba empujando pipas de tabaco. El personal fue muy grosero e irrespetuoso, les llevó más de 2 horas sacar un pastel para la cumpleañera y, según se solicitó, para llevar el pastel con las flores, ¡ni siquiera podían hacerlo! Evidentemente, el personal espera que las mujeres no hablen por sí mismas cuando no les gusta algo, ya que una vez que lo hice, el chico comenzó a ponerse demasiado a la defensiva y comenzó a discutir conmigo. La shisha era pobre y tardó una hora en cambiar de carbón. Si quieres ir a algún lugar donde te den un buen servicio, es mejor que vayas a los jardines de la shisha, donde es mucho más bonito y el personal te habla muy bien, nunca lo haré. The customer services here is horrendous. The staff are rude and don’t speak to you very well. They lack communication and understanding for the least. The food is ok wasn’t anything special but the place looks nice that’s about it

Esta fue mi segunda visita a Basrah Lounge y prometo que será la última. Los camareros eran increíblemente groseros. Nunca he estado en un salón que te pide que pagues tan pronto como te sirvan la comida o la shisha. La comida no era buena en absoluto. La shisha era de muy baja calidad. Cuando estaba sacando mi billetera del auto para hacer el pago más tarde, escuché a todos los chefs jurándose el uno al otro en árabe y en inglés y me miré mal. NUNCA llevaría a mi novia o familia allí porque noté que 2 de los camareros hablaban de otra novia de chicos en la esquina. Honestamente, no sé cómo este lugar todavía está abierto o cómo los camareros no han sido golpeados. . . O tal vez esta es la cultura árabe que no conozco. INMUNDICIA.

Zaid lovely gentleman, very helpful and good sense of humour! Made our experience enjoyable. He even memorised our order without writing it down and there was 7 of us. Even after we had finished 2 hours later, he was still able to say our order!

Shisha is absolutely terrible they don't even use foil so flavour dies very quickly. Service is crap

Everything from the shisha to the general atmosphere was perfect. A nice place to go with family or friends , for food/shisha. The staff in general are always pleasant and welcoming . Overal Excellent service.

Visited with family including 3 children. Where do I start? To summarise: we were asked to pay the bill before our food arrived; we waited nearly 45 mins and we were the only ones eating in there; they told me 1 hour after i ordered that my food was not available by which point was too late to change my order as my family had almost finished eating!! They tried their hardest to make us feel unwelcome - I think they couldn't handle the children touching their fake leather chairs! Avoid this place. Rude staff. Child unfriendly. Fail to provide food! Thoroughly unenjoyable experience.

También £7 para el agua embotellada, que es absolutamente escandaloso! No es un salón elegante o Premium de ningún tipo para cobrar mucho! Cuando preguntamos por qué era tan caro el camarero respondió "personas en África a pie de 6 horas por el agua", que no es excusa y nos hicieron sentir muy incómoda e incómodas. La música es terrible y los camareros apenas se puede hablar nada de inglés. También sólo se puede pagar con dinero en efectivo porque no aceptan tarjetas, que huele como fiable la evasión fiscal hacia mí! ! ! Nunca volver aquí de nuevo.

I visited this Shisha lounge with my friends. We were told we have to pay £10 extra to sit in ‘vip’ area otherwise we would have to sit next to the door near the entrance. VIP section was no different to the rest of the lounge. They provide entertainment which lasts for 2 minutes at a time with people dressed up and just jumping around and clapping to Arabic music lol. We were also charged £2 service charge for each Shisha and at the end they added on £1 extra for using their mouth pieces, no classy Shisha lounge does this. We had our coals changed twice in the two hours we were there after asking staff members more than once. Shisha quality is terrible too. Even with the refurbishment this Shisha lounge is still below average!

Fue la primera vez que visita a Basora Lounge y el ambiente era amazinggg! El personal era muy amable y la shisha era genial. Tenían que jugar en vivo violinistas no ir a cualquier otro sitio.

Honestly reading through the comments and can not believe how negative some of them are. Also I do recommend if people do read the reviews to always look at the date. Most are done in 2016 and this is 2018 newly improved. All I know is my experience was amazing. There was unique live music , violinists not your average everyday belly dancer. It was 8 of us and it was my friends birthday. We had the most amazing service , complimentary cake and fruit. Also joined in with a few dance moves with the staff! It was lovely!! Service was on point , everything was on time and done well. We were all satisfied and went home in lovely moods thanks to staff for all the entertainment and lovely service.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the live performances. A bit too far, so not likely to return. You’ll enjoy it if you’re a boy racer though.

The service is terrible, food even worse and the sheesha is not good at all. The seating is very uncomfortable and the music is just awful. They have happy birthday playing every few minutes which becomes really annoying after the first couple of times. Also you have to pay for everything upfront, which is a bit weird. I wouldn’t be coming back here anytime soon.

We ordered food and were told this is not a restaurant!? Very impatient waiter, who's body language made it clear that we were an inconvenience. Very harsh shisha. 2 stars as the food was okay and the inside was clean and furnished. Definitely will not be returning and made that clear to the waiter before we left.

We went for a meal and a Shisha. The seats are lovely and comfy, the food was presented well. Some dishes were good other dishes were average. Portion size is good.

Basrah has had its day. The refurb makes it look like an 80’s disco. The new chairs are very odd. They look like car seats. The atmosphere was pretty dead for a Thursday night. I have visited this lounge over the years and the watched it’s decline. The venue was fairly empty for a key night. The service was lacking. There are many other better lounges in the area and a lot of competition. The shisha tasting and the jazz musicians will unfortunately not save this venue. This lounge has had its day and needs to reopen and rebrand in another location. Huqqa/bamboo beats this lounge 100%. The value proposition here is bad decor, lack lustre service and the absence of a good atmosphere. Avoid...

Staff are ignorant and rude and don't greet you. Payment is taken first before the order arrives. Shisha was terrible and they do not use coconut coals so the taste is awful.

I went here with my friend last week and had the best shisha ever. It was smooth, and the staff were on the ball continually changing the heating and making sure we had a good puff. We ordered some food and the Shawarma, and Chicken burger was delicious. The staff aren't that friendly, but you expect that in any middle eastern restaurant. They had proper heating above the seating, and even though the area was open (Due to smoking laws) it was just warm enough, and it was lovely. The only thing that bothered me was we had to pay in cash for everything upfront. It was odd, and I can't understand the reason behind this crazy idea. Overall the atmosphere and the vibes were excellent and I would go here again.

Love coming to Basrah Lounge to chill out and relax, very great atmosphere and customer service in my own experience. Not mention, they probably do the best shisha in London... Don't know what it is about this place but they pack the shisha perfectly for a great smoke!

Previously I left a review that offered this place only one star, and at the time, rightly so. However, I have given them a few more chances since. I have noticed considerably improved customer service and the removal of the VIP area. Food and dessert are decent as is the shisha. Ample seating too. I think this is most likely due to more shisha places opening around the area forcing Basrah's hand, for the better.

Best shisha in London. This place is busting with atmosphere. Great place to chill out. Worth trying the scrupulously mouthwatering food. We always have the strawberry mojito, best you can find. I have been coming to Basrah lounge for almost 3 years now on a weekly basis. I believe it is the best place for shisha in London and the service is amazing. The service is immense from Hassan- ask for him whenever you come.

I've been visiting Basrah Lounge regularly for roughly 7 years now and I've never had any complaints. The staff are always helpful and super friendly so I'm surprised to read any reviews that state otherwise - if you are polite, they are polite, that is how normal human interactions work. Regardless, we are always welcomed warmly and served quickly. The shisha itself is good! My friends and I will sit for hours and the shisha never loses flavour. There are a wide variety of options so you're pretty much guaranteed to find one you like. In the summer, shisha with an ice pipe is my favourite =D Yes, they do operate a policy of one shisha between 2 people but there are signs displayed everywhere stating this and being that it is a shisha lounge, please don't be surprised when the business policy requires you to buy shisha. There is a very decent menu of food options. The mains, sides and desserts are always fresh and prepared to a high standard. Between myself and my friends we've tried a bunch of options from the menu and have always been happy. The wedges and cookie dough are my personal favourite! You get a generous portion for the price also.Basrah tends to be busiest on the weekends but no matter how busy it is they will always try their best to accommodate you and make sure you're comfortable as quickly as possible. There's comfortable seating and heaters that you can control dotted around all of the seats. There's also plug points so you can charge your phone in emergencies and free WiFi so they have all of the bases covered. This is a great place to come and relax with family or friends. The entertainment is great - you can watch every football game (and MOTD) or if there's a big boxing match on that night, they will always have bought it from Box Office so everybody can watch. If it's your birthday they'll blast a birthday song from the speakers and all of the staff will come over to make a big deal of you and celebrate (which is so cute)!Overall, this is a lovely place to come and relax filled with people who work hard to make sure you have a good time. I'd highly recommend Basrah Lounge to anybody in London.

Hassan at basrah lounge has been very helpful, customer service has been excellent, shisha, wifi and food is excellent.Members of staff are quick to help people with the enquiries and service is very professional, especially one member of staff who goes by the name of Hassan, ask for him and he will look after you.

Came to Basrah a lounge for my brothers and sisters birthday social. The waitor remember all our order and said it back to us. The food was good had the Basrah special pizza was amazing The service has been great.. the shisha we ordered was good and the coal was changed in time. Staff were friendly and conversing. Overall amazing service. I'd come back again and recommend to othersask for Hassan he will gurantee a good service

Undoubtably one of the best Shisha lounge in London. Excellent service. The staff take care of you leaving you to enjoy the night without worrying about the night. Highly recommend this place if you are in London and want some Shisha.

Best lounge i have come across in london. Service is great, workers are very friendly. Atmosohere is perfect for shisha and the food is delicious! Shisha flavours are lovely and they last for hours! Definitely worth the money !!!!!!

This is a really nice place to visit. A huge tent and great decoration. The location is industrial area with no lights on the way to the location and no sign to the place. The inside interior is really good with lovely music. The food and the service are those negative points that really need to be changed! Shawerma is usually barbecue cutting meat which looks like kebab donner. Here it is frozen streams of meat that get fried with no taste at all. When you ask for tea, you get the cups but no spons! I ordered sparkling bottle of water and got it without a glass!

I am not a heavy shisha smoker, i only smoke occasionally because i have found that it is to harsh and strong on my throat. Coming to Basrah, the smoke is so smooth and the flavour can last a long time because of how clean the Shisha Pipes are. The food is tasty and the service is quick, speedy and have a team of very professional staff.Thank you for giving me and my friends a great experience. Highly Recommended, Suitable for all occasions.

This place used to be really good. But the service is extremely poor, the staff will attend to members which they know who could be family or friends and forget normal customers.The staff are quite rude and very forgetful, their food however is quite good. The shisha is okay and i wouldnt recommend going for a big night out.They show live fights which is probably the best time to go.

I cannot begin to describe how nuts this place is and not in a very nice way at all! We went there on a weekday with a couple of friends (4 of us in total) and we have been there twice before and have ordered the food and shisha on the weekend. The manager there was quite nice- no problems at all. We wanted to order the food and just one shisha between us as two of us did not feel like smoking and just wanted to eat the food. We were told that their policy is one shisha per two people. So we said that fine- the two people that want to smoke can share the shisha but we were told very rudely that we have to order two shishas! We explained to the waiter that the two people do not want to smoke and want to just eat the food and the other two people will share the shisha. Again we were told in a robotic fashion that we would have to order two shishas! Feeling like this is ridiculously stupid and a money making scheme we seeked out the weekday manager hoping that he would clarify the issue for us. The manager was even more rude and said that we could not order food if we did not order shisha!. That policy does not exist on their menu. It does not make sense to me that Basrah Lounge would force their customers who dont want to smoke to smoke. Also, you can't really go and just eat their food their without smoking your lungs out and ordering a shisha!.We felt extremely disrespected and felt that they had no idea what customer service meant. We walked off not ordering anything and went to Beiruit nights instead. Food is better and staff is much friendlier.One of my friend knows the owner and tried to let him know of the situation thinking that he might want his customers to stay and obviously might care about his place's image but it does not look like he cares. He has not acknowledged our complaints.Anyway rant over! never going there again- there are better shisha places around, one less horrible place to go to. I'll live!

Lovely atmosphere, nice decoration and seating area, nice music, friendly staff and good shesha and food menu with a lot of variety I think. I genuinely think this is one of the nicest shesha bars in and around London, comparing with the rest I have seen, especially the ones at Edgware Road which are extremely overrated and overpriced! Location is not the greatest, its in a industrial area and not the easiest to find. They do also close quite early on weekends, which is a shame! If anyone is looking for a chilled out night and somewhere nice, don't go Edgware rd, go to Basra Lounge! :)

This place was terrible for service (one example being left to wait over half an hour for tap water, despite asking repeatedly) and the food was OK but nothing great, The shisha was again, not at all noteworthy and they ask for the money up-front before you purchase anything, meaning asking for refund where an item of food doesn't come for so long you are about to leave and not eat it is too much hassle to go through. There is also a standard seating area and a premium seating area, which is again rip off. Frankly there are many more better places to go.

This place is a complete joke; rude staff, slow service, overpriced, okay food and they also want to charge you service charge as well. Go somewhere else because they want to treat like you are a ‘nobody’ and take your money.

The bouncer is a Polish vin deisel type looking terminator, he takes his job very seriously, there's also always luxury cars parked outside which begs the question of legitimacy.They have a good large amount of space once inside, one of the biggest shisha places in London (trust me, I'd know). It is a shame however, that they've segregated the space into VIP (centre of the building) and non VIP (periphery of the building). They serve exactly the same thing in both sections but they charge more for it in the VIP, honestly it makes me feel as if the establishment is taking the piss out of their customers and is one of the biggest reasons I stopped going as a regular. Another problem I have is that the waiter calculates your bill and payment is required before they even put your order through, these two factors make the establishment feel very cheap and tacky.I refuse to set foot here again, their prices and attitude are unacceptable in my eyes.

Absolute rubbish! Over priced. Rude staff. Place flooded with rain, my shoes were ruined and not even an apology. We asked for music, and were told they do not play music. One very rude member of staff walked over and told us they have a policy of 'no hugging or kissing'. Very disappointed, better off travelling a few miles up to Edgware and Kingsbury.

Basrah Lounge is known for their overpriced food, shish and drinks. When honestly it is nothing special. They then decided to introduce a VIP area where people normally sit and charge double the price. This is so stupid because there is nothing special about the VIP, the service is still appalling, and the smell from the toilets is so bad. All they care about is money and taking money from their customers because they are greedy. Because they realised that this VIP idea didn't work, they removed it. This shish cafe is utterly disappointing and no one should go there because your money is going down the drain.

The customer service has improved drastically from something that would be fitting in abu ghraib to about the level of a GP receptionist. The shisha is extremely over priced as is the food. Though the place looks nice, only the VIP area is warm enough to be comfortable. The staff have a tendency to play musical chairs with the guests, moving you to seat other parties. Went with a couple of friends and we had a great time. The sheesha was great and service was good too. Cant see why it has poor reviews but would definitely recommend it.

Only bad thing is getting full and not being able to finish it. Damn tasty :)
