Baskin Robbins in Southend-on-Sea

Took the kids to Baskin Robbins in Southend today. They had a great afternoon. We were served by a young man called Riley. He was polite, professional and easy to talk to and I’d like to say he’s a credit to your company. We would definitely pay another visit.

waited more than an hour to confirm my single chocolate brownie, l tried to call them many times and when they finally picked up the phone the bloke was literally hanged up on me ... never ever order from here again.Wasted my time and ended up with -£10 and a single chocolate brownie. We had party for my 2 year old in November. I'd heard mixed reviews so wasn't filled with confidence but the soft play was perfect size for our varied age group party and local so thought I'd try. They did quote me different costs for the party packages and what it included (2 different people) but they have changed hands so that could explain why, they just need to be clear in future. We were going for the top package anyway which included exclusive hire of the soft play and sectioned off area for our guests. The guy in charge blew up loads of balloons for us and had put up banners and was very helpful. He also brought out colouring stuff if the kids wanted a break (I had brought my own too but wasn't needed). You could choose from Pizza or subway sandwiches package. We went for pizza which all arrived hot and plenty for the amount of children. I asked for some salad bits too which the chef did for me, he was very accommodating. I brought my own paper plates/napkins as followed a Peppa Pig theme but I'm sure that wasn't necessary. You also got squash, a slush each and an ice cream of your choice from the counter which as you can imagine was very popular, the kids loved choosing which flavour! We did a running tab of hot drinks for parents which had a slight discount on which was nice. It was very clean in there, toilets etc which I don't think it was with previous owners. All in all my little girl had a brilliant time as they all did, ages from 1.5-7 year olds. Keep up the good work!

Used to be free for kids whean buy thean a ice cream now you have to pay 2 pound per child on top of their expensive food wich ain’t all that great I recanend adventer inland much bigger space and more secure and great prices

This company has recently signed up to the just eat app . Very expensive but I was happy to pay it . 5 times ( I wanted to see just how many times they decline ) they have just declined my order . Why bother offering this service if you actually dont . Pathetic

Lovely ice cream & place for the kids to run around but the toilets are absolutely disgusting bins piled over the top when asked if they clean them was told the bin men haven’t come. There was no toilet roll in any toilet and empty toilet roll tubes all over the place. All bins also full in the shop itself and not emptied. And also 2 subway staff from next door we’re arguing in the store and we’re about to fight a worker from behind the counter asked them to stop in the shop and go out back.

Staff very unprofessional! Lacking customer service! The boy that works here was very rude and didn’t look bothered to serve my friend and I. I asked for ice cream and he gave without speaking. Another customer came after me and he advised them which ice cream was good but didn’t advise me. And was left with a sour ice cream. Other than that service was not good at all by the other staff. Would not recommend going at all, no matter how nice the ice cream is.

Went in for cofee with 4 grandchildren great place to go let them off in soft play all for free happy days x

I rang up at 10.50am and someone answered the phone. I said I was just checking they were open before we went there. He said should be opening at 11am, but girl might be a little late arriving. We arrived at 11.15am lights were on and said open on door, so we went in. We sat down and waited for member of staff to appear from the back somewhere. Our granddaughter went in the soft play for only a little while as no one else was there. We waited 20 minutes, calling out Hello a couple of times. We could have made our own coffee as all was set up and taken kitkats etc etc. We are honest and didn't do so!!! We checked the toilets, kitchens and looked into the Staff only section and called out again, before we left, putting the closed sign on before doing so. We went next door to Subway got a hot chocolate and biscuit each and told them about next door, who seemed surprised and excused himself while he went and locked the door, apparently he had the key. As we left just after 12noon a girl was setting up Buskin Robbins now. I spoke to her and told her what we had done, she said it doesn't open until 12noon, I said no door says 11am, man on phone said 11am and door was open and "Open" sign was up. Obviously she arrived for work very late and the person who had been there earlier, just left the shop ready for her rather than wait for her to appear!! Some discipline needed here I think. Having said that when we have been there all was great in the past, I know its October, but when its meant to be open it surely should be open, well it was open, but no one there!!!

Me,wife and kids went to southend sea life centre which was great. We then come to baskins robbins we had crepes 2 of us had fruit mossy and the kids had the ultimate chocolate with loads of Nutella sauce,and had baskin robbins ice cream on top to. Staff was very helpful and the boys loved watching the crepes being made. Very clean and it was very busy to All I can say is lovely staff and amazing crepes and ice cream. We will be coming back. Thank you for a lovely end to are day.

Great ice cream, but seats and place is riddled with midges, staff are lazy to clean up properly. I was bitten a month ago as where other people then next time we went. Great ice cream let's down by sloppy cleanliness, no wonder people go next door to Rossi.

Amazing choice and great location nice view of the sea front. So many choices I went for Mississippi mud and mint cookie both were great choices topped it off with hot fudge sauce. Definitely worth a visit a double scoop was more than enough ice cream left feeling crazy full!

My Granddaughter always enjoys the soft play and ice cream or whatever food treat we have here. She is 3 1/2yrs old and has been coming here for 2 yrs. I suppose we visit about 4 times a year. We enjoy a cuppa etc while she is happily playing. The staff are always cheerful, occasionally very overworked and need to phone for assistants to come in and help.

Love this place, huge choice of wonderful ice creams as well as cakes, coffee, other savouries etc etc.

I was impressed by the ice bar and the variety of ice creams and milkshakes. A second counter also served crepes, waffles and pizzas. The staff were polite and helpful with a prompt service, although it wasn't busy. The tables were clean and tidy and the baby changing facilities were good. The best thing about this place, and why we visited, was the free soft play area. Lovely size and great fun for the kiddies of the weather isn't great or for a bit of entertainment while you have a drink or bite to eat. The soft play would probably cater for around 10 children or so. The venue also caters for parties, gatherings and offers after school deals.

really nice ice-cream and the staff are really nice. However the toilets are very gross and tables are usually not cleaned.

Lots of exciting flavours to choose from, I could have had 18 scoops! Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We came here everyday. My little one loved the soft play and the ice cream. One word of advice,don't send the little ones on the soft play wearing white socks as its not the cleanest of places.

A lovely ice cream parlour with a fab little soft play inside. Kids loved the range of ice cream and slush drinks and the play equipment was clean and made it a lovely little drop off place. Food looked good too and good value although we were not eating, just having a treat!

Used to eat BR ice creams when I was a kid years ago. Came with family and huge choice of flavours. My son has a nut allergy and staff were very helpful. They all loved it.

We only went in for an Oreo milkshake! To stand there for ages to be told to go to the other counter because she was too busy! Only to be told to go back again as that counter did not do an Oreo milkshake!! In the end they said they would do it but ended up with a cookies and cream milkshake! Not what I was hoping for..

Big ice creams, you get so much for your money and the flavours were really nice and tasted yummy!!!

Visited Southend with my partner in Oct/Nov 2015. We came here both days we stayed at Southend, the lady who served us was lovely (think she was the owner maybe as she was closing up when we came in).

Thank you. My daughter had a great, if not loud time, celebrating her birthday. Staff were friendly and helpful. Even dealt well with a last minute request for some one with us with a dairy intolerance. Difficult when serving pizza and Ice cream! The staff are all young but acted very professionally. Thank you! The restaurant wasn't looking very good, it looked like it was under construction. It needs some refurbishments as well.

If you can't decide, so for the selection of eight different ice-creams for a fiver. Portions are generous and they let give you free samples. I remember Baskin Robbins from visiting the states as a child, so happy to see one in the UK.

Lovely range of ice-creams and milkshakes, however the service could be improved as the waitress was not friendly.

cotton candy ice cream was fxcking amazing 10/10 so yummi woz such a great day be there or be square !!!1!!!111111!!!!!111~1~!! i had cotton candy ice cream when i last went united states of america (god bless) and i luved it so much and now ive found it again and im fxcking in luv!!11!!111

Popped in with MCLP and tried the Lemon Sorbet and Vanilla. Both were pretty awful with nearly zero flavour. The service was very slow despite being nearly empty,and with a kids play area at the back its never going to be peaceful.
