We decided to go here after an afternoon at thermae bath spa for our first wedding anniversary. we didnt have a booking but were immediately greeted by a friendly waiter who took us to a table, once we ordered our food came out very quickly! My husband had a burger with pulled pork and his eyes almost rolled into the back of his head on the first bite. I had the ribs that were juicy and had plenty of meat on them and no fat! Which I was very glad about! The bbq sauce on them was the perfect mix between sweet and smokey. The seasoned fries were to die for and perfectly cooked, my husband even contemplated asking what seasoning was used because he loved them so much! The portion sizes were huge as well but the icing on the cake for me was the small pot of pickles that came on the side of my ribs, I've never had that before and I LOVE pickles! They had a great flavour and texture. The service was great and the waiter was very friendly. Didnt catch his name but we visited 16/9 at 6pm ish. We will definitely be back and will bring our daughter along as I saw there was a kids menu and she loves pickles too!

The fries were not crispy, they were too firm. The onion rings weren't fried well, and the flavor of the coating wasn't good. I didn't like the sauce in the Ring of Meat Burger, but the Classic Burger was not bad.

First time in a Bare Grills and what an experience. Not sure what to expect but watching the food come out is great. I ordered a ring of meat, which is probably the worst thing to order. It's a burger in a bun. That's it. The most popular around us was the Tower. Looked great. A 3 tier cake stand with 2 burgers in a bun on top, beef ends in the middle then sticky ribs on the bottom. The tray comes out with it. On the tray is coated chicken, chips and sweet corn. Looked great and definitely filling. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Price was good as well

Went to go in on a Sunday at 7pm and they turned us away. Clearly don’t want the business.

Apart from the service it was absolutely terrible. Most of the food was dry apart from the prawn and onions ribs which were swimming in grease. The prawn main had the chips missing. Mojito with no mint and was told after it was made. I definitely won’t be back

Bland food - didn’t enjoy a single dish we ordered. The Classic burger was awful - it had no taste at all!!!

Not a real barbecue restaurant. Mostly burgers and just two or three barbecue meat dishes. Seems to be run by students. The pulled pork I had showed no hint of smokiness, and came with a tiny portion of pickles, but plenty of chips. We ordered corn on the cob as a side, but it arrived stone cold. The staff were helpful and microwaved it until it was slightly warm. We won't ever be going back.

9 of us ate here mid way through an evening out and it was awesome, huge portions and really tasty food - the service was absolutely spot on and we will definitely be back!

Great venue for a bite to each. Good friendly service and a very nice steak. Good atmosphere although was quiet when I was there. Will go back again.

I came in here and I thought I liked the decor. We sat down and looked at the menu. Theres plenty of burgers and ribs to choose from. We made the mistake of choosing Chicken and chips. I like seasoned chips, but these chips had a whole bag of seasoning tipped on them. The chicken portion was really small. I looked around the restaurant and other peoples food looked loads better. To top things off they have a cheek to add a service charge to the bill. I wouldn't return here, I was disappointed.

Awful again. Reluctantly visited with friends and again disappointed by slow service, tasteless food and background noise of swearing from the kitchen

Average meal at a reasonable price. There were a number of items on the menu that were unavailable, including (oddly for a restaurant focused on barbecuing meat) steaks. We had a couple of issues with our order/meal that staff were quick to resolve. The brisket burnt ends were very tasty, but I thought the ribs were average (nice, but not wow). Portion sizes were quite generous. The saving grace was the very reasonable price - just over £80 for a family of four (two adults and two kids), although we didn't have any desserts. Given that we were in a touristy city in the south of England, I thought these prices were quite good value.

When we arrived we were quickly seated and told that there wasn’t any rump or sirloin steaks. Which is good to be told that. My daughter ordered a milkshake and we were told they didn’t have some of the ingredients, and there was also no mint to make a mojito! As part of the food ordered asked for an upgrade to curly fries. Food arrived in good time, but no curly fries. Agreed for it to be taken off the bill. Chicken wings were pinker than I was happy to eat, and they replaced them. I do know that wing meat isn’t white but it shouldn’t have a heavy pink tinge to it. Over all food was mediocre, definitely not a wow for us. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The place was absolutely terrible. No smoked dishes when we arrived. They didn't have a beer and a shake my friends wanted. The shake that they did have was quite mediocre. Unfortunately, it later turned out that they didn't have the burgers which we wanted. Utter waste of time and money.

Food was tasty but cool, restaurant was cold. Hygiene was worryingly sticky and dirty, including toilets. Booked table for 12pm; doors opened at 12:03. Didn't receive food til 1pm. Can't recommend.

Don’t waste your money or time with this place. Table booked for 7pm, food arrived on table at 7:10. Food in what I would describe as microwaved/frozen food. The fact they call this place a “smokehouse” is a disgrace. I had the bare grill combo.. really really poor. Sausage, ribs and pulled pork were clearly a frozen product, chicken wings had 0 taste. The brisket… lol. 2 little thin cuts of extremely dry beef. The best thing on the plate was the coleslaw.. I hadn’t say anymore. My partner had a burger and said although it wasn’t great, it was ok for the money. Fairly big, loads of fries.. I did tell the kind waitress that I wasn’t prepared to pay the £29.50 for the combo due to not eating half of it due to the real poor quality and without hesitation she was sincerely apologetic and knocked it off our bill. If it wasn’t for her, this place would easily be a 1*. If travelling to bath, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.

Absolutely awful food, the kitchen should be ashamed for what they let out. Having ordered their combo along with some brisket burnt ends I was greeted with brisket that had grill marks on it showing that it had been reheated. It was super dry, rock hard ribs, mushy pulled pork that was tasteless and burnt ends that were nothing more than just chopped up bits of steak that have never seen a smoker in their life. I've eaten in a number of smoke houses across the country and this is hands down the worst food I've ever been presented. I sent the food back and walked out it was genuinely that disgusting. The only positive from the whole visit was a young waiter named Omari who dealt with the whole thing brilliantly 🙏🏼. I genuinely would avoid this place like the plague.

Service was excellent. Reegan was my waiter and was very polite and considerate. Food was ok, burger was a little dry. Would of been better medium rare if that was an option. Bare Grills is a friendly and warm environment.

Overcooked my friends steak from rare to what i can say is, at best, medium-well. The server handled it well. However, the chef seemed abrasive at giving us a refund. The halloumi sticks were dry and chewy, but the burger was alright.

An absolutely fantastic visit! I took my son to Bath for a change of scenery today and after walking around for an hour trying to find somewhere that had seats I stumbled across Bare Grills. I could not have been more impressed if I tried. The staff were incredible with my son (who is 3) often coming over to interact & play with him. As a single mother I am very self conscious about taking a three year old out for a meal but the staff put me at ease straight away telling me ‘not to stress’ when he repeatedly got up to jump around (he wasn’t disruptive to other diners he just likes moving and jumping on the spot). One lady (sorry I didn’t get any names) gave him her tablet for 5 minutes to play a game and then took him on a tour of the restaurant when he got a little impatient for his food. The food itself was brilliant! and may I say VERY good value for money I was actually very surprised to get the bill of only £25 at the end of 2 main meals and 2 drinks. I would be happy to pay more for the quality of the food. Thankyou again to the incredible staff who really made our day brilliant!

This is one of the best places to eat in Bath. The food is of the highest quality, we had BBQ Wings, Ribs and Fries. We even took some home with us. That's how delicious the food was. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this 😋.

Burn, dry, disgusting. To the owner: don’t you feel ashamed?

Not good at all! Everything was burn and dry. It felt like the burgers and the bacon were reheated very dry and the only thing you could taste was burnt. The waiters didn't even bother to ask if we liked the food. Just horrible in general and expensive for what we were served

Now that’s a large burger. Make sure you have some space in your stomach before you enter here. Prices are fair and service is quick. On weekends, if you don’t book a table, you won’t be able to get in. It’s packed.

Food was good and value for money. Friendly staff, not a fan of unisex toilets but that's just my preference.

Absolutely outstanding food, the restaurant was very busy due to the Christmas markets. You could see the team working extremely hard. Hats off to the kitchen for producing amazing food under the strain of a full restaurant. In particular Jordan was a stand out start, polite and attentive. We will be back!

Visiting Bath and didn't know what to expect from Bare Grills. An industrial aesthetic, with a great playlist too. Food was excellent. Give it a visit.

The food was only okay. The service was pretty good. The toilets were grotty and needed cleaning. All in all just okay

Portions good, but the Mac and Cheese was so heavy with mustard that it was almost inedible. The Mrs had a better time with her steak but it was rarer than she asked for.

Almost a perfect score, only let down by lacking proper English mustard.

Ordered a tower for 3 it was excellent ribs fell of the bone burgers were very good everything was good value for money.

Disappointed my burger didn't come with fries, but the fried butter chicken was excellent with a side of slaw. Also disappointed that there are no alcohol free beers or largers on the menu: I was driving. Service was prompt and efficient, and there was a vibrant atmosphere in the restaurant.

Ribs were an absolute stand out!! Pulled pork and the chips are also amazing. Wasn’t too fussed about the burgers though - definitely come here just for the ribs alone. Really big portions so definitely get your moneys worth! However door was left open so was quite chilly in there and meant food cooled down faster than would of been preferred

We visited this restaurant before and enjoyed the food so much we decided to visit again. We were told on sitting down there was a 20 minute wait for food which we were fine with. However, nearly 50 minutes later we were still waiting! The table before us walked out as they had waited so long. The staff were apologetic but the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. The waiting staff were stood around not doing anything as the kitchen was so slow in producing food. A real shame as the food was lovely but the slow service means we won’t be returning.

Place seemed to have promise but was sceptical as American style BBQ is rarely done well in this country. Unfortunately, my reservation of it being a BBQ version of a mixed grill was correct. Ordered the BBQ tower and wish I hadn't. The brisket was fried on a griddle so it had an oily crust, not succulent and smokey as advertised, the burnt ends were dry and smothered in sauce in order to cover that, the ribs were dry and had some unusual tasting tomato based sauce which was thick and congealed, the burgers were cold, both burgers had shoestring crispy onions that weren't crispy, was like biting on the skin of an onion as they didn't tear when bitten and even the cheese inside had hardened, the corn was nice (hard to mess up corn), the fries were plentiful and good, the onion rings were greasy but at least crispy, the fried smoked cheese was okay but just not to our taste, the pulled pork was probably the best bit along with some slaw in a bread bun, the milk shake was just ice cream, milk and strawberry syrup which tasted like nesquik (not what you expect for £6). Oh and we had to wait over an hour for our food but was never told that there would be a wait. Not much communication until we asked to speak to a manager. Another couple also had the same wait only their food arrived wrong and they ended up walking out. We did get 50% off our meal but honestly, it wasn't worth that as we left over 50% of the meal as it just wasn't edible. Just seemed like the staff avoided looking at the tables, let alone go amongst them once food was taken out. They would just hang out near the kitchen or be nowhere to be seen. Had to get the eye of the manager once again in order to just get the bill. Was just a bit of a balls-up from the get go

Hamburguesería de gran calidad y precio bastante comedido en pleno Bath. La carta es bastante amplia, encontrarás hamburguesas clásicas, ahumadas y de pollo, además de múltiples entrantes. Las raciones son generosas. El personal es bastante amable y atento. En resumen un sitio que no llama mucho la atención desde fuera pero merece mucho la pena.

Called in with 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Ordered a bbq tower for 3. Wow. There was plenty of it and all delicious. Burgers that were stacked, pulled pork, steak, wings, ribs chips, onion rings, slaw. We were defeated, never seen the lad complain so much at being full. Would really recommend you try it. For me, the ribs were superb.

With lots of new places opening or reopening in Bath, we've got a bit of a list of places to try out so set out to Bare Grills. It was quite quiet on the evening we went and there seemed to be a bit of dither over where we could sit without a reservation but the place remained empty most of the time. I had pulled pork which was fine - I've made my own at home and this was no better than that which surprised me when you'd think a BBQ restaurant would specialise in making it better than just fine. My girlfriend had a chicken burger which she enjoyed. The real stand out food was the Crispy Jalapenos which much more than just battered peppers and were really great. The music was pretty weird. There was a song about a red solo cup which to my ear just got worse and worse the more it went on but if that's your jam then perhaps you'd love the atmosphere here. I did not envy the waiting staff who likely hear the songs several times in a shift... perhaps that's why there was the dither about where we could sit - maybe if they like the look of you they put you away from the speakers! There was no draft beer or cider on which I found a bit disappointing. Not a place I'll rush back to but I wouldn't hate finding myself there again if someone invited me there.

Went in with the family, it was mediocre food, staff were very helpful, pleasant and clean but the food wasn’t mind blowing when the prices suggested better could be expected.

Great little slice of Americana in this eatery. The seasoned fries were delicious and my ribs with coated with a lovely BBQ sauce. My friends burger looked outstanding. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Cheese burger was good, chicken burger a bit dry. Bring your own extra roll if you're having the pulled pork!

Unfair to rate atmosphere as I was literally the only guy in there today about 2pm. Ok. Food and service was awesome. Had the piggy back burger, burnt ends and holoumi fries. Biting into such a MASSIVE burger and not have all the meat slide out the side of the bun was just gorgeous. Perfection. Only one little moan. No coffee on the menu. When i mentioned this to the waitress she said that they had some instant coffee in their staff room and would make me a cup. I was so pleased I said that I would leave a healthy tip just as a Thankyou and a way of ‘paying’ for my coffee. She came back a few minutes later saying “my boss said I’m not allowed to make you a coffee”!!!! What??? My food was just over £30 and I was willing to pay/leave a good tip for the coffee and grumpy bollox boss/manager said “no” leaving the poor girl no option but to come back over to me all embarrassed to tell me she wasn’t allowed to make me a brew? Shame on you manager/boss person. I could understand it if you were rammed in there and everyone was run off their feet………. But like I’ve already said……. I had the place to myself. Kinda narked me a little bit.

Have eaten at the Weston-super-Mare one many times and discovered this one by accident. Superb food big portions. Recommended the pulled pork and macaroni cheese. My companion loved his meal too especially the fries.

We had the friendliest lunch I could have wished for. A bit late in the day to be fitted in. None the less. They squeezed us in.. everything you'd expect from a bare grills. That amazing grill taste is hard to find anywhere else. I loved every mouthful

Having hunted around Bath for a steak dinner at a realistic price on the Sunday evening of the bank holiday weekend we settled on Bare Grills. We had read the reviews but decided it was the best option available and boy were we right! They were busy but quickly made a 2 seater table available for us. The restaurant is decorated in a modern, light industrial style with some wall signs and yellow strip lights in black reflector trays with black mesh openings. They have booth tables, double tops and some open 4 seaters. The loo is up in the gods about 3 floors above the restaurant. I had the grilled chicken breast with spicy fries and coleslaw, a portion of macaroni cheese as I hadn't eaten since 8am and a 330ml bottle of fizzy water. My friend had the ribeye steak with spicy fries and two 330ml bottles of Corona beer. The food came after a 5 to 10 minute wait and was clearly freshly cooked and was delicious throughout. My friend, a "steakonista" said the ribeye was up there with the best he's ever had and he's had more than a few. The service was top class from start to finish and our bill was just over £51 which based on the quality and our extensive experience of London prices was a bargain even though we were in Bath, one of the most popular tourist towns in the UK where you can expect inflated prices. Overall a fairly priced, tasty meal that was the right amount and cooked perfectly. Thank you
