Barbecue Palace in Glasgow City

I must add firstly that the taste of the food is really good and have no complaints as to the quality of products. Where I have a massive issue is with the portion size, genuinely lucky if we have recieved a standard portion of chicken donner or cheese never mind a LARGE. It's disappointing as we have shopped here for years and it's noticeable the size difference in the food. Photo attached of chips cheese chicken Donner & chips chicken donner for reference. Again I must add the taste is good and no issues with that it's totally down to the smaller portions. When compared to near by take outs these portions are tiny Chips cheese and donner meat is nearly £9!!!!

Ive never eat anythong so bad in my entire life

Just received delivery 30 minutes late from expected time. I normally go to shop to buy and get food and wouldn't wait as long. The chicken loo warm this disappoints me as I travel the same distance and its normally hot.

Portion sizes are quite pathetic for the price hoghee had 17 chips, last time ordering as this has been noticeable in recent orders

Bought a " Large " mixed pakora for £8. Boy was I disappointed! This was by no means large. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of it now. Terrible value for money. Avoid.

Visited the take away last week, staff are very lovely and polite. Food was amazing definitely will recommend it to my friends.

Curries seem to be back. Not tried them yet. pizza ok. cheese heavy.

Came here for a Sunday night dinner and ordered chicken korma, vegetable biriyani, doner hoagie and an extra naan. Each dish was a good portion size and it was so tasty!

Normally really nice.. but have just waited 3 hours for a delivery they put the phone down on us when we tried to call back they continued to say 5 mins

Been using this takeaway for years and the standard of service and quality of food is fantastic, one time they missed an item on the order and was only to happy to correct it on next visit, thank you.

Hoagie Wrap and a juice for £7.50, really tasty and great value for money. Staff were nice enough to let us eat inside too due to the rain. Excellent service and food.

This place has been my go to takeaway place for a while now, l can highly recommend, food is lovely, portions are great and the service is excellent. Just polished off a chicken tikka tandoori, it was awesome. Keep up the great work guys.

Iv been using Barbecue palace for years and never had any problems until last monday 15/3/21 I ordered my usual kebab pizza but also a kebab and onion rings for a friend. Also extra cheese on my kebab pizza, it turned up on a Monday over an hour and cold, No cheese on the kebab pizza, WELL NO KEBAB ON PIZZA EITHER, called and complained and was told I’d get 30% off next order, emailed twice now and no reply

Ordered a hoaggie. What turned up was a sad looking chapati with a few chips, a dribble of melted cheese and a couple of bits of meat. They were late delivering it and forgot my drink. An absolute joke and complete rip off. Won't be back.

Excellent as always. Loved the vegetable curry. Top marks to this place, the portions are great, love how they do all the salad and sauce separately with kebabs and how items are all put in brown paper bags. Best place in town hands down. Would love it if they done a donner and chicken shwarama mix kebab though as that's not on the menu.

Generous portions of lovely grub at a decent price. What's not to like?

Food was amazing. Fresh and warm and came faster than expected. Chips were missing from order called shop, straight away no problems.said would send them out within 10 minutes arrived roasting hot and fresh. No complaints about any of the food. Will definitely be back again.

Ordered for the first time last night and definitely wont be the last. Moved to the area 10 months ago tried lots of places but this is without a doubt the best. Portion sizes were great, meat was so fresh and food was piping hot. Looking forward to the next one 😁

Food arrived late, was cold, no sauce for the Pakora which was ordered, when I called them to express my dissatisfaction I received awful customer service, I was told “ we are very busy dear” - won’t be ordering again!

As a regular takeaway that we order food from was closed yesterday tried barbecue palace for the first time by chance. ordered donner kebab it was amazing!!!So happy we have found this place. Defo we will back again.

Never had a bad meal here the foods good

Been going here since it opened. New owners in the last year or so. Never seen such bad and rude service. The owner misunderstood the order and started shouting at me in front of other customers. Few months ago the order was wrong, rang them, the owner was a bit rude. I decided to give them another chance. After this incident I won't be going back. This is not the way to treat your regular customers. Even a member of staff was apologising to me but the owner never did and kept on smirking.

Great guys but don't reduce size got a Turkish kebab and not as much chicken as usual.

We got a ten inch munchy box last night and for 7.99 it was great value. Chicken, veg and mushroom pakora. A nan bread with loads of donner meat. You get a choice between normal donner or chicken donner. Chips, salad, pakora sauce and donner sauce. Fed two of us and we really enjoyed it!

Just moved to the area n heard about this place many times so decided to give it a try. ordered Donner kebab from here, delivered piping hot n exactly as I ordered, large portions for reasonable price and great customer service, there is nothing else to ask for. thanks a million guys.

Food was cold there was hair on pizza the chips were soaked with grease and terrible customer service from who was cooking food and food was disgusting !!!!

Ordered 2 chicken twister meals so really a chicken kebab but in a wrap instead of pita with chips on the side , The wrap was rock solid and tasted like cardboard couldn’t eat it , chips were soaking in grease must be new owners never used to be this bad , It will be kings cafe from now on 👎🏼

Got two kebabs delivered but no kebab sauce arrived. Very disappointed. The salad was nice and meat seemed ok but you need the sauce.

I hate this place but my Mrs likes it any time I go In I get a feeling the staff have a distinct dislike of all customers... Very strange food is average service is utter garbage phone a order in for pick up and I guarantee they don't start cooking it UNTIL you show up to take it away totally pointless.like so many places it has zero local competition and has thousands of houses in its area win win situation. Latest failure was we called for a munchies box and asked for them to leave two items out of it...guess what got home and they have put both in. Staff don't care why should they their is that much customers in area someone will always replace tge lost trade.

Awful waited over 2 hours for a delivery. When eventually arrived the burger was raw. The kebab meat was freezing. Phoned to complain was told they would send another burger out. That was 40 mins ago. Was told it's a handmade burger so should be like that. Personally raw blood dripping out the middle burgers doesn't tend to be something I would eat. Also not up to food safety regulations. Definitely would not recommend and will not use again.

Called here for a carry out, ordered burger and chips for my wife and shish kebab for me. My wife enjoyed the burger, so far so good you might think...Asked for sauce for the kebab including extra sauce,which did not seem to find it's way to the bag which held the carry out. Phoned when discovered this at home and after 2 hours and several phone calls, eventually received not 2 portions of sauce but yes you guessed 1 sauce. Will not be back as service has gone downhill. Could have went to Turkey and back quicker.

Awful customer service . Gave me half my order after forgetting about it then moaned when I asked for my money to be brought back to me ... told me to order from somewhere else if I didn't like it haha

Always ordered from here until I came across the rudest guy I've ever came across in a takeaway speaking to me on the phone when I requested my money back after half the order was missing .

Outstanding meal last night. Ordered tandoori mains and they were brilliant. Told my sis in law to order tonight and just as good. Well done. Best I've had in south side.

Wrap was solid, Chicken was slightly undercooked Chips were either soggy or burnt

Use this take away regularly but was bitterly disappointed in tonight's order. Was over 20 minutes late and quality of food was poor. I am putting this down to it being busy but that doesn't justify it!

Asked for a curry but got the Korma, no harm done as that is what I normally order, just fancied a wee change!!!

The service from here is absolutely ridiculous! I paid for an order through my card which was accepted and I recieved a confirmation email detailing when it would arrive. An hour and a half had gone by and the estimated delivery time was changed twice and saying that it had been delivered and I was still waiting on my food. I called 4 times and the man in charge was rude, did not want to help and was saying he hadn't received an order I had already paid for and was unwilling to send out another order. I am disgusted and will never use this place for food again.

The chips had vinegar on when i had not asked for it as I do not like it! Asked for three popadoms and only given two? And they only started making it when we arrived and therefore was 30 mins later than estimated!!! Very very busy takeaway

Absolutely disappointed with orde considering the general consistency. Veg pakora under cooked - chip under cooked and chicken consisted of considerable amounts of cartilage.

Ready for collection within the 20 mins stated. Staff were a disgrace, the woman behind the till swore after discovering the hot plate our order was waiting on (including the salad) was HOT. After we got home the sause was wrong, the ceylonese was un recognizable and the kebab was dry and cold ????? Never again

Order from this takeaway often & would recommend it. But don't select a delivery time on the app. I had confirmation on my email it would be delivered at 8.45, but it wasn't fed through & was delivered at 8.10. Extremely disappointed as I had friends over & the food was delivered before they arrived. We were compensated from the restaurant with more food, but put a damper on the night as just eat can't communicate with restaurant.

not happy with my order as it took over 1h25min to arrive (only live 1.5 mile away) and and one of the items that i had order was missing. this has not been the first time that my order has been very late/ wrong, so will be the last time that i order anything from BBq palace. the food is alright though.
