Cena en un pequeño pero gran restaurante. Estás sentado viendo a los chefs hacer la comida. Elige algunos platos del menú. Súper genial pero en el lado caro de las cosas.

He oído cosas buenas.

The ambiance of the restaurant has not changed over the years. Still causal and diners perched themselves across the counter, watching chefs preparing the dishes. The menu is extensive and a great selection of wine (although tether pricey) All our dishes were delicious and especially loving the croquettes. Great restaurant

Would rate this Barafina as better than the original! The attention of a well motivated and professional team really made the difference- there was a minor misunderstanding over our order which was not an issue for us, but the team took great care to make sure we were happy. Thank you! The food was very good, though we did not order tortilla as previous experience proves it to be very runny.

When in London, we always choose Barrafina for celebrations. On this occasion, we chose Coal Drops Yard and we were not disappointed. Our lovely host Mateu looked after us splendidly and our food was excellent. Great location, great service, great food.

Average. Not great atmosphere. Felt rushed. Got our bill wrong. Told them it was my daughters 21st beforehand (they ask on the booking app) and yet they didn’t even acknowledge the fact. Food was nice but nothing special. Evening felt flat. Disappointed.

3rd visit here as my wife works close by, 3rd disappointment, I get that the menus in all barafinas should be unique but its all a bit disappointing, no where near the atmosphere of the others and the cooking not to the same standard, chefs looked scruffy and one awkward moment when a guest sent back an under cooked turbot, the chef made a face said the customer was wrong and a stand off ensued between the waiter and chef, all being observed by the guest who sent it back. Not for us, we will stick to soho.

honestely wasn’t impressed at all but I have to say the octopus I had was nice but the tomato sauce which come with it wasn’t that nice I find it tasteless . The lemon sorbet was too sharp for me and the size was too small I guess 3 coffee spoon I can say waste of money . The waiter was in front of us playing with his phone which I found unacceptable no one Did the customer satisfaction. I ‘ve eaten in better places For the price we’ve paid .

Two friends and I enjoyed a Saturday lunch here. We arrived early and secured a quiet table. We ordered a total of 8 dishes which was just about right although I could have eaten another. The food was delicious but the artichoke salad did lack seasoning. The service was friendly and efficient. The bill for the 8 dishes, a bottle of house wine at £28 and 3 coffees was £143 which was high for what we had.

Service is friendly, food is good quality, but on our visit, for four diners it was simply below par and no where good enough for the prices charged. They did have a fire alarm/kitchen issue, but surely training would have covered such a predictable event. We would go back, but what went wrong here: The description of available dishes was insufficient, maybe a language issue, bit most likely a training issue. The flow of service was interrupted by their fire issue and almost all staff running around pushing buttons on the fire control panel situated by the front door. So our main dishes arrived separated and the latter ones needed to be sent back. The second dish was described by our waiter as a beef dish, but was actually a inch thick steak. No problem but it was served blue, having just been seared. One of our party like their steak rare, it this was blue so had to go back, the other likes medium at most so could not touch it. It was duly returned and all was good. We complained about the service and the fact that the dish was not described properly and we were not given the option to specify how we like it cooked. Then the major sin: the waiter/manager defended their approach with “we serve everything like that”, no apology, no attempt to satisfy the complaint, accept a mistake had been made or consider a different approach to describing the dish would be better and more customer friendly. We refused to pay service, more because they defended the poor service. It’s a nice place, food quality is very good, pricey general service is fine, but the refusal to accept they may have got something wrong soured the experience.

The great location, lively atmosphere, delicious food and a most of all an outstandingly friendly and efficient service team make Barafina just fabulous. Perch on a barstool and nibble your way through almonds, pimientos de padron, a ‘classic’ tortilla with a runny core, crisp fried squid and gambas rojas a la sal and wash it all down with a nice chilled white wine while watching the food being prepared in front of you.

Very disappointing - whereas Dean Street has always been one of my favourite restaurants in London , the Kings Cross branch lacked its buzz intimacy and quality. The manager was rude ; this marred any enjoyment of the place .the food was disappointing and did not warrant the extra cost. The Pyrenean lamb chops were tasteless and arrived cold. The Jerusalem artichoke salad st £11.50 had very little artichoke abd the John Dory fish was tiny. Two dishes were delicious namely the tomato salad with anchovies and the fried squid. We went over to the Coal house for desert which was excellent, more welcoming and buzzing!

Went with a friend for after work drinks midweek. What a great place ! Welcomed by staff at the door and seated at a fabulous long bar where we could see the food being prepared. A nice variation on tapas type dishes and some different types of food on offer. Good wine list too. Worth a visit

I’m shocked to discover that this place has been open on my doorstep for a quarter of a century and I’ve only just discovered it. The important bit: you won’t find a better steak at a better price. Or a better steak full stop. Hamid and Sirous (manager and proprietor) can advise you what to order. I’ve forgotten our starters (they were good) because the steak is the story. The côte de boeuf we shared was cooked to perfection and large enough to satisfy three healthy appetites coming as it did with salad and fries. Another thing: the wine list. No wine was over £35. The excellent Côtes du Rhône that we had was only £30, a price that justified a second bottle. The dessert menu is limited but that doesn’t matter as diners are unlikely to have any appetite left after the steak. Service was superb. An excellent experience in every way.

We (2 people) reserved for an off-peak time, around 6pm. It was quiet, the mood was very warm, very cosy. Christmas lights and wooden decor gave it such a rustic feel. Great to dine comfortably in. The food. We ordered a 2person chicken and chorizo paella and 3 tapas. The tapas were a good light food that were appropriately mild in taste, but still a distinct, flavourful kick - quite impressive. And the paella was magnificant. Altogether, we were already full by the paella. We wouldve loved to have dessert, but our stomachs couldnt handle it :( we decided the food was an 8.5/10, averaged between us. Service wise, absolutely brilliant. Luca was so friendly, making sure we were ok from time to time, asking us whether we wanted drinks or refill of drinks. Being patient with taking our orders, all with a smile on his face and genuine positive attitude :)) Overall great place, great food, great time.
