Bar Shu Impression in Sunderland

The ribs (salt and chilli) had no taste whatsoever I think they must have forgotten to add the flavour. The curry sauce although was a little spiced also had very little taste likewise the fried rice was also the same. Chinese curry sauce should be full of flavour as should the rest of the dishes. Very expensive for little to no flavour we won’t be back.

Very generous portion! Eat here quite a few times. The food is good for sharing with friends. We ordered boiled fish fillet, pig’s ear in chili oil, morning glory, hot and sour soup and some rice. And the rice is free to refill! the flavours were awesome and mouth watering!!! Totally would recommend this place and the people there were really sweet too!! :)

We had a Szechuan boiled fish (shui zhu yu), spicy pork intestines (gan guo fei chang) and an aubergine dish. Really enjoyed it! Will be back again to try the rest of the menu. Person serving us was nice and friendly.

We had a lovely lunchtime meal..havent had chinese for a long time because most chinese restaurants do not open for lunch. Mu husband had hot and sour soup and i had wonton soup..both were delicious. We also order dim sum and duck with pancakes..again delicious..all the food we had was really lovely. Staff were excellent and we enjoyed everything. The meal was more authentic as well. The only reason i didnt give it 5 was the restaurant is a little tired.
