Somos cuatro personas que acudimos a Bar Japon para take away. El restaurante es muy tranquilo, limpio y bien decorado. La camarera es muy atenta y la preparación es abierta al público. Pedimos dos Party SET con 9 piezas sashimi (variado y buen tamaño) 18 piezas de sushi y 8 piezas roll. La calidad es muy buena y el precio es un poco excesivo, 80£. Recomendable pero no para todos los bolsillos.

Un petit restaurant, modeste mais une cuisine parfaite, authentique, préparée avec un soin rigoureux. Accueil tres courtois.

Comimos aquí con amigos que son vegetarianos, me recomendó el 'Bento Box" que había comido aquí antes.

Comimos aquí esta noche y realmente nos decepcionó. Aunque los productos era buena calidad no había pensado para poner, en conjunto. Todo era muy básico y las porciones son muy pequeñas. Pagamos 10 libras por un plato de fideos en un caldo con unos 30 gramos de carne. El sushi las porciones son pequeñas. Vinimos con hambre pero se negó a pedir más en dichos precios y el tamaño de las porciones.

Trato perfecto, rápidos, comida excepcional. Muy buena calidad de producto, caro pero merece la pena. Recomendación, pedir las bandejas.

Bar Japan is a small restaurant on Old Brompton Road and is great if you want real Asian food at a good price, service is good and the food is also good. If you're looking for a real high quality Asian meal, then maybe Bar Japan isn't for you, but otherwise, if you're looking for a decent restaurant with good food, come here.

We went to Bar Japan because it was across the street from the flat we were staying in, and wanted an easy meal after a day of walking. It was mostly empty when we got there, but they had a steady stream of customers and takeout. We started with edamame, tempura and drinks, then switched to sushi and a bento box. The food was tasty, though the service a bit scattered. The teriyaki chicken was delicious, tangy and well-spiced, but there was too much skin on the meat. The California rolls had fake crab meat, but tasted ok. Overall, a moderately good meal, and not outrageously priced, for London. Anywhere else, and it would have been a poor value.

Ik ben hier twee keer geweest in een weekend. De eerste keerwas het uitstekend. Erg lekkere sushi, goede wijn, vriendelijke bediening. De tweede keer had ik een duurder gerecht, een box met gevarieerde gerechten. Dat was veel minder. De sushi is echt goed en lekker maar de sugar snaps waren rauw en de tempura echt veel te vet. De salade was ook wat verlept. Ik vond het wonderlijk om op twee opeenvolgende avonden zo'n kwaliteitsverschil te ervaren. Mijn tip: hou het bij sushi, dan ga je hier tevreden vandaan.

Scelta eccellente per mangiare un'ottima cucina giapponese. Il locale è piccolo e accogliente così come il personale che è molto disponibile. La cucina è ottima e il sake è delizioso. Consigliato.

Just came back with a £25 take-away for one and am still hungry (and am not a big eater). Very small portions. I ordered a sea weed salad, a six piece roll and five pieces of sashimi.

This little restaurant in Earls Court is a great find. I've been many times and they serve high quality sushi and sashimi, which arrives quickly and is served by really friendly staff that make you very welcome. It's a relaxed and calm atmosphere.

They had a promotion offer going on so I went with a couple of friends to try the food as we had never been there before (even though I live so close by). I was surprised to find the place full of people and the service was very good considering how understaffed they were. There was this awful drunk woman and the staff there handled her well I felt sorry for them as they were very friendly.. :(The food was delicious! Definitely going there again. They have the best sushi and sashimi I've ever had and very good gyoza and piri piri squid. The noodles were also amazing. The prices are reasonable and the interior is very nice and cosy :).

Well I opted for the Piri Piri Squid to start and spicy chicken for main and was not disapointed.Will try the sashimi next time.Service was fast and efficient. Decor was bland and basic, but the flavoursome food more than made up for that.

We went here yesterday. The fact it was called 'Bar Japan' made me expect the worst, the fact that it was empty didn't help either. Boy was I surprised though. The sashimi was some of the best I've had in London: Fresh, firm fish, served on ice in half bamboo shoots. No fish smell, and really delicious. The noodles and main were also extremely tasty and with great quality ingredients. The only criticism I have is for the staff, but I'm not exactly sure what I'm criticizing. They were friendly and attentive, but somehow a little distant, and sometimes, despite the place being empty, they were a bit hard to get over. Otherwise this is a terrific find, and close to home so I'll be back

I live if Earls Court and loves sushi so I have been to many sushi bars in London and had been looking forward to visit this local sushi bar for a long time. We chose the Olympic opening night with a few friends. However, the service was really poor. The waitress didn't understand how many hand rolls we needed after the third time of explanation. We waited at least 25min for the first serve after arrivinf at 7:30 with only one other table occupied and they had forgotten one of the starters. Plus, it is rather expensive compare to many good restaurants in Earls Court. Thanks to bar Japan, we nearly missed the Olympics opening ceremony on the TV.

Deliciously freshly prepared food. Great bento boxes and sashimi and very reasonable by Japanese restaurant standards. Efficient service.

This is a nice, simple Japanese restaurant. The menu is not very extensive, but not bad. The food was good, the service friendly and efficient, and although I would happily eat here again there was nothing that made me want to rush back. Cheap wooden disposable chopsticks spoiled things a little.

If you like Japanese food this is a no frills, comfortable restaurant with charming staff and fresh produce. I am not sufficiently expert to assess all dishes but sashimi, tempurs, bento box, soups all very good. I have been on my own and with husband and son and for a quick, delicious meal, it is great.
