Awful. Strange smell, I decided to throw the whole order away.

Amazing quality sushi at a great value! The service was also amazing, the waiter was very friendly and hospitable.

I’ve been in London for work for about 6 months and chose to cap off my girlfriend’s one visit to see me by bringing her to Yashin even though I’d never been on my own. This was hands down the best meal I’ve had in London in my time here and was an incredible date. The tasting menu with pairings was incredible and the service was impeccable. I couldn’t be more appreciative for how great this team made our date night.

Terrible experience—I ordered tempura, and to my surprise, they left the head on the shrimp! I bit into a shell-covered head, and upon further inspection, found it hadn’t been cleaned properly. I’ve never been served unshelled tempura before. The manager insisted it was their most popular item, which seems absurd; I can’t imagine people enjoy biting into shells that could get stuck in their throat. An absolute joke.

Very delicious sushi and tempura, great place for dating and meeting friends. It is a pleasure to watch the chefs work meticulously. If you are not price sensitive and just want to experience good food and service, this restaurant is a great choice.

Genuinely some of the best nigiri my wife and I have had. Every piece was balanced perfectly and as their cheeky slogan states, skip the soy sauce here, as you definitely do not need it. The uni was melt in your mouth incredible with a touch of wasabi. To follow we both ordered the eight piece omakase which again, was incredible and left us wishing we had got the eleven piece. The sushi was relatively inexpensive and very suitable for Japanese tastes. I wish I could eat it in Japan! The staff were also wonderful. Arrangement? The Japanese woman in charge was more polite.

The perfect place for lunch, amazing food and service. It is lively but yet not noisy, just the perfect balance.

I’ve been going to Yashin since it’s opening. It’s really gone down hill! Set Lunch today, large fish bone in the yellowtail maki, the fish was also in such large lumps it was hard to chew and clearly the fish wasn’t fresh. I told the manger. He came back and said ‘I’ve made the chef aware’ no apologies, no discount on service charge. I said the last couple of times I’ve been it’s really gone downhill, his response and I quote ‘I know!’ After over 12 years of being a customer, I won’t be returning! Very sad indeed!

Every time I come to Yashin is better than the last. The food is actually out of this world, the atmosphere is intimate and calm, the service is not intrusive but attentive. It is the perfect dining experience and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Dined here on a Saturday night with my dad. Food- mediocre. I couldn’t help but notice how poorly the staff are treated. The manager or whatever he was treated my server poorly. I tried to tip the amazing server by card but she said don’t bother we don’t keep tips anyway. Response: Haha i really wish it was fake and i can see why you’d rather pretend it didn’t happen. I won’t be commenting any further. I will just avoid and leave a review of my experience. I don’t care to know how you would make this right or to give you feedback.

Amazing food and professional, friendly team! Sushi prepared by the Chef was perfect and the dishes from the kitchen were all super tasty and beautifully presented.

Excellent and innovative sushi tucked away in a side street off Kensington High St. All dishes prepared to perfection. The tuna nigiri with truffle is to die for. Expect usual London prices.

Really great meal and spectacular service

I spent my birthday celebration here and it was not only one of the most delicious meals I have ever had, but the service was second to none. I will be telling everyone about this place for years to come

From the moment we walked in, we were treated like both family and royalty. We came to celebrate a birthday and it felt like it. Every bite was personal, delicious and intentional - it was an exciting journey from beginning to end between textures and sensations. Can’t wait to come back and can’t thank the team enough for a delicious meal with flare, care, detail and flavour. Thank you.

I eat at Yashin on regular basis; when you go into the restaurant, it is amazing. However, getting food for takeout is a big disappointment and I consider it a ripoff. The Sushi 'set' is only small pieces of sushi crammed in a box - no miso soup nor salad, which you get with the sushi sets for the same price when you eat in. I can't guarantee it, but I think the Sushi pieces themselves are smaller and they do not have the individually matched special toppings on them that you get in the restaurant. Not only that, no napkins are provided, and only second-rate chopsticks; not the same ones as in the restaurant. All in all a really poor experience given my high expectations based on the dine-in experience.

Not only was the meal first class, but the service was incredible. Welcoming. Helpful. Fast. Friendly. What a wonderful evening. Thank you Yashin!

Great set lunch salmon meal, quality of the sushi was great and the portion size of the roll was generous. Very good miso soup. Service friendly and knowledgeable.

The food was okay, but just too expensive for the price asked. The timing of the courses with the wine pairings was a total disaster, even though the restaurant was almost empty. For a while nothing came, only for white wine, red wine and sake to be served all at once within 2 minutes. Very unfortunate and not recommended.

Food is way too expensive for the quality. Things are offered to you on the menu without communicating that they are more expensive! The drinks and food are put on the table far too quickly. The ambience is mediocre, you sit in a cellar. No recommendation !!

Michael and team were amazing with service, customizing their interaction every step of the way! We had the taster menu and everything from the sake to the quality of the Icelandic uni, Otoro and other dishes were absolutely fantastic. Worth the value!

Traveling solo for work, this is a great spot to sit at the counter and enjoy fantastic sushi. The fish is very fresh and Michael had great recommendations on sake pairings. Highly recommend the omakase - everything was excellent.

A lot ot care is clearly taken in preparing the food. The soft shell crab is done to perfection. The Icelandic sea urchin was interesting but probably an acquired taste. Excellent attentive service, beautiful simpl3 cozy atmosphere and reasonable prices for this quality and freshness. Very highly recommended.

Superb food especially the Sashimi

A dinner to remember, without a doubt. I was looking for a good place to celebrate an anniversary and chose Yashin. We were rewarded with class service, fresh food, and a dedicated chef and team. Every aspect of the meal was outstanding. We ordered as much as we could and only wish we could have fit in more. The wagyu beef and bone marrow were sublime. The presentation on the aged tuna matched the succulent flavors. The omakase plate was fresh and exciting. To eat a good meal is such a joy and this was such a meal. Would certainly recommend it and look forward to returning. Five stars all the way.

My mom and I had an amazing experience at Yashin! We didn't originally make the reser vation for omakase, but they kindly accommodated us and gave us an excellent omakase experience. Every single piece we ate was incredible, from appetizer, the main omakase course, to the additional desserts. It has a very traditional Japanese flavor, so we felt that this was a special and unique experience for us vs. a modern experience. We could tell the chef puts in so much care into each dish. We really hope to come back and dine at Yashin again when we revisit London!

Delicious meal. Sushi was expertly crafted and the flavours were fantastic! We had the one by one ten and it was amazing 🤩. Everything was well paced and it wasn’t rushed at all. The Chefs and Maple were really attentive and even though we were one of the last guests we weren’t rushed out.

The food was AMAZING and I can not begin to explain how dedicated the service from Michael was. He gave amazing recommendations for drinks and was detailed in his explanation of what fish we were eating. He honestly made the experience a 10/10. This was a delightful omakase experience and I would recommend it to any sushi lovers!!

Great food. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and brilliant location. If you enjoy sushi and more this is the place to go. Authentic Japanese cuisine. Made mostly in front of you with love and attention to detail.
