Bar 31 in County Durham

Called in on the off chance as a nearby bar didnt have draft. Staff were so Welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Only planned on nipping in for a very quick drink but ended up staying longer due to the lovely atmosphere. We visit Hartlepool from Leeds to see family throughout the year and have never called in before, we will absolutely make sure we do so in future. Thank you for having us ❤️

My friends and I booked fir bottomless brunch at Bar 31 and having never been before we were not sure what to expect. On arrival the Bar looked lovely very clean and modern, with a constant flow of customers. We were greeted by the lovely Julie who showed us to our table, and as we had already been sent the menu we booked our first drink 🍸. There were plenty of choices of drinks to cover all tastes. We were asked to let the staff know whether we were ready to order our food and as we had already preorderd our food we didn't have to wait long. There is plenty of choice for all tastes and dietary requirements taken in to consideration. Matty and Eve were our servers and constantly checked if we needed more drinks. The food was beautiful and very generous portions. For all the bar was busy we never had to wait for drinks and the staff went out if there way to make us all feel welcome nothing was to much trouble. 10 minutes before our time was up we were topped up again with our drinks, we enjoyed it so much that we stayed in the bar for the rest of the night. Overall a great bottomless brunch and I would highly recommend. All the staff were happy and chatty and made you feel like part of the family.

First brunch here and won’t be my last. We came for my friends hen do and were so looked after even though it was busy as the sun was out!! The food was amazing wish I could have had one off everything. The choice of drinks on the brunch was really good. Had a fabulous time …. The afternoon flew over thank you for making the day even more special

I get it's sunny outside and it's busy, but we came for brunch and I had 3 drinks, 2 which I had to qué at the bar to ask for, then when asked for another drink as a few people on my table had just received a drink I was told our time was up, staffs attitude to us asking for drinks was appalling, I have managed bars for years I get busy periods are stress full but I would never allow my staff to have attitude to customers for no reason, we where polite and respectful.

Bought half Lager which was ridiculous at £2.70 & even more ridiculous for £1.95 for Soda water!. Driving & just wanted a Soda. Will never return again! Total rip off!

Held my daughter’s Baby Shower on Sunday it was such a lovely day and your venue was perfect and your staff were fantastic. Thank you so much 😊 Jo Gray 😊

Great bar lovely cold pint. Great cocktails. Lovely people. The bar has a lovely feel to it. Nice and clean. Highly recommended.

Love coming to bar 31 the staff are very friendly and there’s always a lovely atmosphere. Every weekend they do 2 for £10 on cocktails and there’s a great selection and they’re all delicious 🥰

Table for 1. I placed a small order coffee and sausage sandwich!!I waited around 15 minutes for my coffee. I noticed the other tables around me were asking for there 2nd coffee and were served again before I had my first. I asked the waitress had she forgotten about mine which she clearly did. I received it straight away once I asked. 30 minutes later I received my bill and no sandwich !! I went in to complain and was informed they got mixed up and give my sandwich to someone else ! Didn’t charge me for the coffee. I left straight away and won’t return .Is a really nice little place and very busy which obviously says it must be good I did come at w busy time so maybe it was down to that fact.

Fab place.. Good drinks, great staff and excellent atmosphere... Can't rate it enough.. Was a regular before the lock down and great to be back 👍👍👍

Stopped here with my friend while we were at Hartlepool marina (29th August). The barman was very friendly and let us in 20 mins early, as we were only after pots of tea. Very good service and nice tea.

Quiet for a Friday tea time but friendly young girl behind the bar nice cold beer so what more do you need

A great bar with good service from friendly staff. A decent range of draughts. Pleasant atmosphere with regular live music. A nice location overlooking Hartlepool Marina.

Went to bar 31 for the start of our night. There were 2 parties on which was nice to see the place full, so we picked a un-reserved table. After 10 minutes we saw the bar man ask the hen night party if they wanted our table to sit in, he then promptly asked us to move as he forgot to reserve the table we were sat at. Would of been nice to be told this before we paid over £10 for our drinks. We then had to sit outside with our drinks due to the embarrassment and looks from others in the pub. Very disappointed in the way there mistake was handled at 4.30 in the afternoon. Shame you have lost 2 good customers and our friends & family.

We always start our night here whenever we head down the Marina.We absolutely couldn’t say enough about the owners they’re so friendly and very down to earth. They always make you feel welcome and always make sure they come and say hello and have a chat. You definitely feel like they’re welcoming you into their home. They also have live entertainment every weekend (every time that I have been in) which is something that isn’t offered in the other bars. I know they do private parties for birthdays, baby showers etc. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

A smartly styled new bar on Hartlepool marina. A really great selection of drinks and some daytime foods. It's location makes it the perfect starting point for a night on the Marina.

Enjoyed a visit to this bar down on the waterfront. Unfortunately the businesses down here come and go with amazing frequency, but this one seems to have a more solid feel.The usual cocktails and some draught beer: I think I spotted a pint plus a cocktail at £9.50. There was a lengthy but poorly produced cocktail list - white text over a black surround and in font 9.I also spotted some (daytime only?) light bites which looked very good value and somewhat in contrast to the 'higher end' cocktails. In terms of pricing one only has to wander the length of the businesses here tp realise which a doing a good trade and which are not
