Bar 236 in Denbighshire

Went in for a quick drink, the atmosphere was good, lots of drink choices which Mike behind the bar was really great with helping us decide what to have. We will definitely be visiting again when we are back in Wales.

Turned up Wednesday 8.45pm and got told no were closed last orders been called yet its early and over 15 people was inside .. disgusting

Came in for a quick pint and to catch some of the football, ended up chatting to the pleasant young chap behind the bar and stayed a lot longer than planned! Would return again for the friendly environment Jonny created. Cheers pal!

If you like your sport this is the place. I have also seen a young live band here a few years ago I believe the singer also worked behind the bar. We always pop in on our afternoon sesh when we are up for the darts. reasonably priced beer place is more for the young but a great place to watch sport.

Ordered 2 glasses of red wine which with one smell u could tell was off lad behind the bar tried to tell us that was normal NOT not coming again

This trendy bar always has something to offer, from live music; comedy nights to a great selection of beers. Always a great atmosphere!

Found this place to watch the six nations when in town for business. Good selection of real ales and craft beers. No food served but they have crisps for sale. Lots of Flatscreen TVs dotted about. Good atmosphere. Toilets clean enough. WiFi allowed connection to router but no internet.

My missus & I visited here recently for a few drinks and it was busy, people were in good spirits, and there was a decent atmosphere. I didn’t have much trouble getting served, the lads behind the bar worked hard and everything was reasonably priced. May return to try the food one day.

A clean and tidy bar. Great choices available many local beers,that I was offered a taste of before making a choice. The place was quiet but it was mid week and early evening,and after a poor start just a few yards down the hill,this was a breath of fresh air!! Enjoy my beers,thanks to the pleasant bar man. They were kept in great condition and served in the appropriate glasses. All in all a great experience.

Nice food with pleasant service. Tables and salt/pepper, etc should be kept cleaner. Average prices.

We visited a couple of weeks back,after a disastrous start to our evening close by. This place was an excellent choice, with a good choice of ales and wines.In fact a real treat !! Our only comment was, that other customers clearly keen to get to the bar, kept pushing and nudging us,which was unnecessary Staff are friendly and helpful with the ales and wines,and we will return,[ not when the live music starts up tho]. It was an adult experience otherwise, and possible to have a conversation to that point.

Very popular at weekends, good beers and friendly staff. The only downfall is they are only open at popular times and if you want a pint on monday lunch forgrt it as they are not open.

Lovely bar very lively and friendly. Good prices and lovely tapas on a Friday evening 5-7. The door staff are very friendly opening the doors when you go in and also the bar staff open toilet doors..very impressed a lovely bar for all ages.

We had a drink in here on a Friday night. It was full and had a good atmosphere. The live music added to the enjoyable evening

great bar lovely staff too we are new to prestatyn only bought a house here recently and we are made to feel very welcome in this pub.

Popped in for an early lunch with my partner , nice warm greeting and happy staff. We ordered the Panini and chips which was lovely and we were served quick and enjoyed. Felt we needed to do the review as we were given great service and would recommend to others.

Un pequeño bar de deportes. Increíble ambiente en el fin de semana y noches entre semana son bastante ocupado también! Sin duda lo recomendaría a cualquiera que a cualquier edad. Amable da detrás del bar también!

Choice of drinks good, a nice sports bar. For meeting up with friends it is great. Wish more people would go, it deserves uo be successful.

Great atmosphere here, best place for a few drinks out locally. The recent refit and new food menu has made it comparable to a trendy city bar. The only fault I have experienced with this place is the small dark haired bouncer - he has far to many friends who are regular drinkers in the bar, if you fall into difficulty in the bar he is more than likely to take their side (including when you are a 19 year old female being harassed by a 40(ish) year old man). I know my friends have recently experienced this too. I understand you can't help who drinks at the bar, but you can most certainly control the situations that occur there. Great place, great food, great music.

Love it here, you can tell its good just by seeing how busy it is. The beer is great. Staff are very friendly.

This is clearly the locals favourite, as on a Saturday night it is packed so much so that people are standing outside the doors. Maybe it is a little too busy, but none the less, once you get over the fact that you have to shout to be heard, the bar is really good, and I had a great time.

Clean, well organised and welcoming venue with highest calibre of staff and food. Well worth a return visit and regular bookings. Loved every minute of the experience. Thanks Bar 236.

Great selection of beers and wines. The staff are very happy to oblige and the other customers are generally normal folk who want to get away from the usual town centre drinkers
