Great food, great staff and the pints are poured perfectly! Only here for 2 weeks and I’ll definitely be back for more!

We booked to have the 3 course lunchtime festive menu. The food was beautiful, everything piping hot, freshly cooked and well presented. It had clearly been prepared with care and attention to detail. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our meals and would return and recommend visiting.

When arrives was told 3 main items off the menu was unavailable also when food arrived the chicken was cold and slimy dint want to eat any of it and left it

My sister and I visited last year whilst on holiday after enjoying it so much . We made it our first visit on arrival today. Once again service excellent barman who served us was very friendly and helpful getting the dog a bowl of water. Food excellent . Will be back I'm sure whilst we are here .

We visited today for drinks and food and we were greeted by welcoming and helpful staff, we both had steak and ale pie which was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A special mention to the lovely young lady who served us (sorry we didn't get her name) she was really helpful and attentive. Thank you x

the manager is absolutely disgusting family trying to enjoy there meals the people in the bar swearing ask the manager could he please control it he tolduscto shut and put up rhuddlan is a beautiful place will never ever go there again to the kings head we have spent a absolutely fortune in there its not good he just looks after his bar flys

Being summer I chanced a salad and ordered the chicken & bacon salad. I must admit that it was the best salad I’ve eaten out. Full of tasty ingredients that was very filling. Best compliments to the chef 🤩.

Cant not fault anything. Food is spot on every time, there's never a bad meal. The staff who work there are so helpful and genuinely kind and are always welcoming when you walk through the door. Always a good time in the venue, they hold bike nights for a local MCC club, which is always a great crack. 10/10

Well I wrote a bad review because I was issued a parking fine, I was totally wrong and have deleted it because 100% my fault, signs everywhere tell you clock in. Anyway Darren Landlord was very helpful and obliging. Pub is down to earth and lively, specially weekend. Going in again definitely.

We called in tonight after a long day out and thankfully arrived just in time to eat ...The girl that served us was lovely , very welcoming and happy to serve us .The food was great too , we didnt get chance to thank her because the local football team had turned up just as we were leaving so she was very busy so I'd like to say thank you to her here x

Spent the day in here last week while I was waiting for my phone to get fixed locally. The owners / staff are proper sound, all the locals are really welcoming and create an amazing atmosphere. The food is gorgeous I had the ultimate spicy burger which was 10/10. Great people, great music and great food. 10/10 one of the best pubs I’ve had the pleasure of spending time in.

My car tyre blew. Darren and Sam couldn't have been more helpful to me. The food was excellent as well.

Josh our server was very friendly and helpful. The drinks choices were good. Food availability was also good with a wide range of choice. We chose a steak and ale pie and the southern fried chicken burger. Both were enjoyable and were typical pub grub. It did what it said on the tin. Atmosphere in the pub was good. Toilets and pub itself were clean and inviting.

Good value for money, food was well prepared and service was excellent, felt very at home.

Popped in for a coffee and a dessert to warm up a winters day. Very nice staff and helpfully agreed to make dessert even though kitchen was closed. Had sticky toffee to go with the coffee and both were wonderful!

My family have been regular customers for about two years. It's our 1st choice for going out for both drinks and bar meals. The manager and his team work hard to welcome customers and create a warm atmosphere. Bar meals are delicious and hearty. The menu changes from time to time and the wide choice should offer something enticing for everyone. I've never been disappointed as the food is served piping hot and in generous portions.

Darren and his team are amazing! I can honestly say the customer service is on another level 😍 the team work so hard and Darren makes sure he greets every single customer that walks in every single day, which I think is a lovely touch. Nothing's too much for him or his team. They always have smiles on their faces and are all very friendly and polite. Our most recent meals were a veggie burger and steak. Both were delicious and my partner said her steak was cooked exactly how she wanted it (rare) and was the best steak she'd ever eaten out! I'll recommend this place to anyone and everyone. You definitely wouldn't be a one time customer if you came here, you'll keep coming back 🥰 Also, they are dog friendly ☺️

Lovely welcome on arrival. Had a 45 minute wait for our mixed grill apparently because of the steak 🤷🏼‍♀️pub nor that busy, food very dry when we eventually received it. Disappointed 😔

Lovely welcome from Josh and Darren. Nothing too much trouble. Very relaxing. Lunch was excellent, portion size right, but couldn’t manage a pudding. Menu standard pub grub with a few extras. Just wanted to say a massive thank you to the lovely staff today for making my mums birthday special. Nothing was too much trouble, they were very attentive and lovely. The girl who served us was so good with mum and made it lovely for her. Thank you to you and the guy who sang for her while you brought the cake out and playing happy birthday too. Food was really nice too, will definitely be back .

The staff where excellent, we shared a meal they where more than happy to bring us extra side plate ( at their suggestion ) , prices where very reasonable , food very tasty. Pay it a visit if your passing .

I’m in my 70’s and very rarely am impressed by Pubs & Restaurants as I remember the old days when customer service counted and the owners main aim was to look after their customers. The Kings Head in Rhuddlan is such a place and I recommend it to locals and all visitors to North Wales. I am particularly impressed with the management and staff. Daz and his good lady and may I give a particular mention to Gemma who personifies what service should be. I recommend the King’s to all.

Great local village pub. Staff and locals made me very welcome and were extremely friendly. Only had drinks so can't comment on food but it's a Marsden pub so it's usually good. Visited again Oct 23. Still great pub. Very atmospheric. Busy but no wait at the bar. Mix grill very good but steak bit chewy. Otherwise a great evening out. Very friendly staff and locals.

We had lunch today which was excellent Well cooked plenty and delicious. Service was superb we had dog with us who was given a bowl of water loved the jar of dog treats on bar. Very attentive and friendly service wish we had asked young ladys name. Will definitely be back .

An odd place really. upon arrival you are overwhelmed by the number and size of parking notices. You must log your car registration or face a £100 fine. The system is offputting. A bit like the "our staff have the right to work without fear of abuse" type of notices, it puts you on the alert and makes you question what type of customer frequent this place. Service was friendly enough and prompt. We ordered at the table and were asked for payment immediately. Again, vibes of mistrust - like going to the dentist. The food was cheap and cheerful, so no complaints albeit there were dishes unavailable due to the week "being busy".

BEWARE….Arrived at 12.10pm and was told food not served till 12.30 by a very unwelcoming mannered man, could be land lord, we replied that’s fine, we ordered 4 club sandwiches on two bills, about 12.45 one order of 2 club sandwiches arrived still waiting 20 minutes later no sign of next order arriving went in and asked told there coming abruptly by same man, further 15 minutes later food arrived on wrong bread, not once did we receive an apology or even an update, on asking why, the same bad attitude man replied it “he wasn’t aware about the problem as the computer had gone down” utterly pathetic, I’ve worked for many years in the public trade and have never treated anyone like he did, I believe in giving bad criticism or excellent comments at the time, but this awful attitude man wasn’t interested even when I told him his attitude was awful, food as well.was awful bread dry scraping of bacon and chicken, The one positive thing was the young girl who served us she was lovely and very apologetic.. Obviously one establishment we won’t be frequenting.

Good food, good mac'n cheese. Visit here most weekends, visit every time we go to the caravan, good value for money.

I enjoyed my visit here. The Landlord was so welcoming informative. It Watson lovely to see all the memorabilia. The food was excellent. This pub is not far from Rhuddlan castle.

The ambiance of the Kings Head is always welcoming and comfortable. I'm a repeat customer so I can confidently state that the food and drink here is consistently high quality, freshly prepared and served by friendly attentive staff. On my latest visit, I was accompanied by a friend who is very picky about how his steaks are cooked. He ordered rare, I went for well done. Both arrived together, piping hot and exactly as ordered. A good sized 8oz rump, succulent and attractively presented with equally well cooked chips/onion rings for me and a healthy salad for him. Nothing was left on the plate when we finished and all for less than £10 each. There is a good choice of beers and wines all at very reasonable prices. There is a special main course and drink option each week day. I recommend you book first to avoid any disappointment as the menu is very popular.

We popped into the Kings Head on Monday for a drink and decided to stay for food. They advised us there was a wait on food but let us browse the menus. Great choice of food and reasonable price. Their communication was fantastic and came to take our order as soon as there was space in the kitchen. Josh, our server, was a delight! Super friendly and made sure everything was okay. They have a special each night Monday-Thursday for bargain prices! Will definitely return.

Stumbled across this amazing pub on our way back from bowling. We were welcomed by Gemma, a credit to this place, so friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, lovely surroundings and very clean, the other staff were great too, will definitely be returning

Really friendly pub. Chilled atmosphere, plenty wearing and space. We both ordered Ultimate southern chicken burger as a Tuesday special was spot on. So was my hot choc fudge cake and ice cream 😁 waitress recommends it us and forgot to get her name to mention she was very helpful and nice. We're not locals...

Can't fault the place at all. Cheap drinks, cheap food, friendly atmosphere and dog friendly. Feels family run and a big part of the local community. For a starter 2 mains and 2 drinks it was a little over 30 quid. The onion rings are fantastic 😊

The food was nice apart from the steak on mix grill, was bit salty so couldn’t eat it also no mushrooms on the meals either but wasn’t a big issue, the staff was welcoming and made you feel at ease was checking in on how the food was the starters was really nice 😊 was the first time coming here definitely be coming back without the kids as they would be bored as no play area for them. The chef done amazing and so have the staff who was serving the food

A pub/restaurant run the way pubs used to be when the customers were made to feel welcome. Daz and all his staff give a first class service and the premises are kept in an immaculate condition. The ale and food are of a high standard and there is plenty of off road parking for customers. I fully recommend the Kings Head to anyone visiting the area.

Very nice food, good variety and reasonably priced. Friendly helpful staff, and the dining area is clean and spacious.

We phoned last minute to ask for a table for me and my Mum and two dogs; the owner could not have been more accommodating to us. He greeted us with treats for the dogs and reserved us a lovely table. We both ordered the curry option and I can honestly say its the nicest pub curry I've had. All staff were so very friendly. Thank you so much, you've made our evening, couldn't ask for better.
