Food was lovely, well presented, generous portions. The option to eat outside on a sunny day was much appreciated.

The service here was lovely! The food was okay, we had the lamb and it was a huge portion, enough for 2 of us which was great!

Bank Tavern is always busy, but tables become free quite quickly. The lamb moussaka and pie were delicious. You get a really good choice of food. Definitely worth a visit.

Stopped in just after the pub opened. Ordered a pint of amber bitter, lad serving me never said a single word, no hello, no thank you, nothing, really strange. Didn't really taste the first mouthful but the second swig i got a strange taste, i had a smell and another taste, tasted as though the lines had just been cleaned and not thoroughly flushed. Left 3/4 of the pint and left. Disgraceful service and dangerous cellar management.

Great food, prompt service .. felt a little squashed in with a couple of tables too many....but they were all full so why not

lovely pub that allows dogs in. Good selection of food and ales/ cider. Has outside seating to the rear. Called in today and they had a lovely fire going.

Very busy, but was bank holiday weekend.

Absolutely banging food, six of us piled in quite late in the evening after a day of mountain climbing, quickly cleared us a table and served us nice and quickly, food was top notch, particularly the pies, cheers The Bank Tavern 👍

Nice pub, friendly staff, ordered food for 4 people. Sandwich’s were great and enjoyed by the party. Jacket potato was a little hard in side. Would recommend and would return.

Managed to get a table on a very busy day. Didn't wait long for our food and it was great. Usual large portions and well cooked. Keep up the good work.

I have been here a few times. A good real ale destination. On this visit a customer accused Ic and Flic of being "Gordon the Gopher"...luckily the barman knew Flat Eric and put them straight.We had an excellent pint each of Great Corby Blonde. Good pub and like most in the area it does lots of pub food. Boss liked the wine.

Good selection of Ale. Food was tasty and reasonable price.

Alway called in here, but they are way over priced! I had a pint in the wainwright £4.50, had one in the dog £5.25 one in here !!!!£6.20!! And the blonde behind the bar was telling customers that they were the cheapest!

We had only ever been in here for drinks, but decided on having a lunch time meal. It was reasonably busy, but got a table, some drinks, and ordered food. We both just had a baguette, with chips. The place felt very homely, great friendly service, and the food arrived in decent time. Very decent size portion, good quality, tasty.. not too bad for the price. They have a good lunch time menu, good variety.. Must compliment Joanne for great friendly service. Will deff come back again.. Oh and dogs are allowed in..

On the expensive side but in a good location with good quality food & drink.

Didn't eat so can't rate food, but this pub has a wide selection of beers and a great atmosphere. Perfect place for a pint with your mates.

Not good at all, Frozen Chips, Frozen Veg, Frozen Everything, not hot and certainly not homecooked, Veg was just about warm and watery, chips were pale and just about cooked, and very expensive for what you get, nearly £50 for 2 drinks and two meals

came to the bank this weekend with my partner and had a really good night the staff we friendly and sold a wide selection of drinks, will definitely be calling back. and hopefully get some food next time.

Quirky old pub with very chilled and comfortable atmosphere. Food is all home cooked and absolutely delicious. Fish pie to die for as was the Lamb Shoulder. Would highly recommend and will certainly be returning.

I'm glad to see that this excellent establishment hasn't changed too much after the takeover of Jennings. Still serving great pub food and a selection of good ales. Can't say the same for some of their competitors in Keswick.

Amazing and understanding staff. I spilt a drink and staff immediately cleaned it up, with a smile and gave me a replacement. I Couldn't fault the food, staff, atmosphere or reasonable prices. Will visit again. Dog friendly. Lovely warm place to eat on a cold, wet winter's day. Thank you to you all.

Went here on Sunday, meal for 3. Literally the worst steak I have ever had in my life, I’ve never eaten steak with no flavour! Was burnt hot and clearly microwaved. Partners pie was awful and the burger just slop! Avoid this place if you want a nice meal! Over priced rubbish

This was our second time visiting as our meal here last time was so tasty and satisfying. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the food was very average. We ordered the fish pie special which looked quite pitiful and tasted very bland and stodgy, not much fish in it. My fish and chips was tasty but A LOT greasier than last time. However, the nachos were tasty and would order again, some more dips would be appreciated as the dip pots are quite small considering how big the nachos portion is. Perhaps we ordered the wrong things but the quality of the food, in general, had definitely gone down since last time.

Very bad attitude from waitress/manager who had clearly had enough of serving. Food was banged down in front of us covered in Luke warm gravy. Horrible atmosphere and prices do not reflect website. When this was pointed out was asked "do you want to eat or not". AVOID

Popped in here after the original place we’d planned to go was full, amazing food and lovely staff! Food came so quickly (we were in at around 8:25pm so we figured it may be slower service) nothing was too much for the ladies serving and behind the bar, so welcoming 100% recommend!

Great place to eat! We were lucky to get a seat as everywhere was heaving but I'm so glad we did! The staff are all lovely and super friendly - we both had hot baguettes and they were delicious! And when I couldn't manage all of mine and asked for a bit of foil to wrap it in, the lovely waitress packed it in a tub for me with cling film round it so it wouldn't leak in my rucksack - such a simple but really kind gesture to do, especially when they were so busy! Dogs are welcome at many of the tables, just not on the carpeted areas which I fully understand. The wine was excellent and the other patrons friendly too. There IS large choice of eateries in Keswick but I have to say we would head to this place first to spend our money on our next visit - to remain so friendly and helpful when you are so busy is a feat in itself! Very disappointed, the menu at the pub is different to the one on the website and the menu in the pub is more expensive than the one advertised. We both had the lamb shoulder which was on the specials board. They arrived, without a word or a smile, very quickly and looked enormous but very appetising. We tucked into them, very tasty! However as we ate passed the surface of the meat it got cooler with it being cold near the bone. We didn’t finish them, the half empty plates collected, again, quickly systematically rather than in a friendly way.

We visited on Boxing day and found a warm welcome. Busy but run efficiently by a friendly staff. We enjoyed the food which was delivered to our table in a few minutes. They also had clean and functional toilets, with both hand driers and paper towels. Recommended whilst you visit Keswick.

Normally a great place to eat. Whilst the food, drink, and the atmosphere was great. It was somewhat spoilt by the rude attitude and very unwelcoming manner of the male behind the bar who took our orders on last Tuesday evening. The girls were great as usual and the service from them superb. However, there are too many good eating places in the vicinity to put up with such rudeness. Won’t be visiting again.

Ate here twice over the last few days whilst staying in Keswick. Had a tuna melt baguette with chips and salad for lunch which was lovely. Had the lamb mint shoulder with mash and veg for an evening meal, lovely tender meat and creamy mash. Couldn't finish all the meal despite it being fab as was too much for me.

Had roast beef with Yorkshire pudding for Sunday lunch. All I can say is WOW. What a plate full. Lovely grub.

fantastic food in here and also have a new chef, we had an early christmas dinner the turkey dinner was presented beutifully and tasted fantastic as did the beef my wife had, i had gammin steak 2 nights later came on a hot sizzling plate, very nice and all 3 meals priced around £15👍

Popped in for a drink on Sunday afternoon. Busy with locals, tourists and dogs. Bar staff friendly. Checked the menu out and returned a few hours later to eat. Still busy but found a seat. Staff were friendly, informative, and helpful. 3 of our party had roast dinner which was superb, and I had game casserole, so tasty. Highly recommended the staff and food were exceptional.

The ale was very good but unfortunately t by e food was overpriced and poor. In fact, my friends dish was not fully cooked, after sending it back to be reheated, it was served with the comment, it could be cold because you are not eating fast enough. Not right! 👎

A delightful pub which has retained all its c1828 features. Fantastic atmosphere frequented by the locals and their dogs. We ordered the lamb, the servings were enormous and the tastiest, juiciest lamb we have ever eaten. Service was efficient and the Fosters Beer was icy cold which pleased my husband to no end.

I highly recommend the steak pie :)

Thankfully this place hasn't changed a bit since last year. It's still a traditional pub that serves great food and everyone is friendly.

Lovely meal on a Saturday lunchtime. You can't book ahead and on a Saturday lunchtime it gets full so don't leave it too late to arrive! The food was delicious. We had the steak pie, Cumberland sausage and chilli con carne. All good sized portions, very tasty and served with much better veg than the usual Pub fare. Good choice of beer too. Lots of tables but comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Recommended. The menu to download on website is out of date but a recent one has been uploaded 8 months ago in a review so best to look there.

Excellent pub on the high street. Great selection of Cask Ales, lagers, ciders & other alcoholic drinks. Service was excellent & the lady in charge ran the place like an army major (compliment). She knew which table number people were sat at & ran the evening like a military operation. Food was top class & very reasonably priced. Fully recommend this place.

On Friday 27th October arrived in Keswick for a weekend away, went for a drink in the afternoon then went back later to eat. The 4 of us perched on a small table, and then the lady managing the tables spotted a table becoming free,...

Had an enjoyable meal at the Bank Tavern in Keswick. Service was friendly, there is a good menu with additional choices on the specials board. Good range of beers. The food was well cooked and enjoyable.

Very good menu choice and huge portions. A doggy bag is offered to take the rest away.

We just love this pub. Dog friendly is a bonus too.

Good food, excellent beers, traditional Pub atmosphere, with friendly, observant, efficient staff. As a dog owner myself, and allergic to them! I enjoyed being able to eat where there were specific ares for dogs.

Went for our evening meal on the last day of our holiday. As some have said not really dog friendly as only a few tables by the front door. The pub itself needs a total revamp. Bar staff miserable. Of the 3 meals we ordered...

We came here last Thursday and we had to fight to get a seat , the place was full Which is always a good sign So on our last night Saturday we decided to try and get a table so that we could eat here...

1st visit to this charming hostelry, a good selection of beers and ales; can also recommend the quality food on offer. Had the steak and kidney pudding which was amazing, will go back when back in the area. Tha staff were pleasant. Dog friendly.
