Excellent breakfast here. Service was good and appropriately attentive, particularly as we were a group of 7 and had no booking on a busy Saturday morning. Busy location

Tal vez solo una mala noche, pero sentí que Theatre Royal era una descripción adecuada para el personal del bar que actuaba como personal del bar. ¡3 veces fui a un bar vacío para que me dijeran que esperara un minuto o 5! !

Buena ubicación en el centro de Edimburgo. Buena atmósfera. El servicio es bueno, los tipos de comida que puede elegir son limitados, pero el lugar es un pequeño restaurante dentro de un pub tradicional. Muy buena la cantidad y el tipo de cerveza que puedes encontrar.

Nos gustó la avena caliente y las bayas, pero el desayuno escocés completo era bueno y también delicioso. Bebidas por la noche allí muy agradable.

Abierto temprano en un domingo para un muy buen desayuno justo lo que necesita después de una noche en la bebida, muy buen personal limpio

This place is lovely. We had food which was done very nicely and drinks. Also tried haggis for the first time and it was very nice. Done very well. My only thoughts where that the chairs were a little wobbly and the house wine wasn’t great but very minor things to change to make the place a 5star

Excelente opción en la Royal Mile para tomar una cerveza, tiene buena atención y mucha onda Fuimos tarde en la noche y nos atendieron con mucha amabilidad y nos explicaron sobre las cervezas locales. Muy recomendable

Deberia venir en las guias como un imprescindible. Edificio bonito, muy buen precio y muy buena comida, además es muy grande y seguro que encuentras un sitio

We only called in for a drink and found it to be clean with a great choice of beers, it was quite a young crowd when we visited

Buena y fresca comida..... recomiendo los fish and chips, los haggies, y las mejores papas fritas de la ciudad. Muy buen ambiente, barato, mucha variedad de cervezas tiradas..... muy buen precio! El edificio era un antiguo banco y se reabrió como bar restaurant, está muy buen logrado. Es económico y tiene buena calidad

Had a meal with my partner whilst in Edinburgh. The bar is nice and modern looking and the singer with a guitar was brilliant. However, that is where the good points end.... Drinks were over priced. I had a vodka and tonic, the tonic was draught tonic and tasted awful. The beer was fine. Ordered two meals at the bar and as we were waiting for our food the waiter proceeded in taking away our cutlery and napkins before the food arrived. Even though he had already tried to take our order and we had already told him we ordered food at the bar. The food was average quality, nothing special but ok. We were never asked if our meal was ok and we waited 30 mins to see if we could have a desert however the waiter was more pre-occupied with clearing up and getting all diners to hurry up and leave. Ordered another drink (vodka and coke this time) while waiting for our bill which never arrived.

A party of five of us walked in for lunch. We all ordered a different meal. Two of us ordered the Prawn Sandwich special that was the best we've ever had. Soft thick wheaten bread, not too saucey, lots of prawns. The homemade macaroni and cheese was very good, thick with creamy. Oh and the dressing on the side salad is heavenly!!! They were very patient and kind, we had a five year old with us and they accomodated him with crayons etc to keep him busy. The hostest was lovely too :)

There are always loads of people when we drop in here. Took some clients in last and they really appreciated the live music. Good fun pub on the Royal Mile.

Definitely visit! The food, staff and drinks are amazing! Worth checking out on your visit to Edinburgh.

We had a lovely time here. Just popped in for a swift'un with the family but ended up having a few and getting some grub. Abby (our waitress there) was really friendly, chatty and looked after us. And when my husband just happened to mention going to Budapest it turned out she'd been on exchange there - we had to take notes on all the top tips! Great atmosphere, great service!

great place to grab a drink or have a proper dinner. it's set in an old bank, which doesn't say much, but it's still a nice place to visit. the service was good and friendly.

This upscale pub is right on the main corner in Edinboro. Yes, it is an old bank re-done in modern fashion to accommodate the Scottish Yuppies (?) and tourists. We could not find a seat, but there is an outside patio area.

Tive nesse pub/ restaurante 2 vezes. Uma para tomar um drink de noite e outra para almoçar. Eles servem comidas tradicionais como tambem hambúrgueres e sopas. Como pub, lugar agradável, podendo conversar com amigos e nao muito cheio na época que fui. Recomendo!

Went in here with my friends for a drink before heading to the tattoo, now inside has be all refurbished since the last time I was in and looks like a nice bar and lighter than it used to be, but the service was slow and expensive for what we had I ordered a bottle of wine and latte and it came to over 18 pounds now I don't mind paying over for decent service but took nearly 15 mins for the coffee and the biscuit was all mushy and discusting. And staff were slow and barely smiled. Wouldn't go back as a local they are clearly out to fleece tourists will go to other lovely establishments on the mile from now on instead! Shame as I was really looking forward to it and was hoping for a good experience

Went in to the Bank about 2 weeks ago to get a quick bit to eat and a drink at lunchtime it was about 1:30. There was no one in. I ordered the pate and my other half ordered the nachos. His nachos were lovely. My pate had been microwaved so it was hot around the edge and frozen in the middle. I obviously sent it back and orders the soup of the day, it took over 30 mins for it to get to me and when it did it had been microwaved so again hot and cold it was pea and broccoli but all I could taste was salt!.Terrible meal don't eat there its shocking they can get away with this

We popped in to escape the snow and had a couple of cocktails and some nibbles, reasonably priced, good value and nice food.

We were having a bit of a touristy day in my home city and needed somewhere to stop for some lunch. We went in with low expectations, thinking it would be a tourist trap. It's a pubby pub, nothing fancy, but the service was good and the food was actually rather nice. I had a veggie burger and chips and my grandma had haggis, neeps and tatties. They made a wee mistake and didn't realise we wanted both together but the guy was really apologetic and knocked money off our bill which made it even better!

We stopped in the Bank pub and we were delighted. (Earlier we visited the worst pub in Scotland and needed find a fun place.) The Bank has an excellent selection of ales and a great staff. We decided to stay for dinner and we were glad we did. It was some of the best pub food that we had on our trip.The prices are very reasonable considering the location.

We were a party of 13 lads who went here for breakfast. The prices were slightly more expensive then normal however we thought that would result in a high quality of service. Out of the 13 breakfast 3 of them were wrong and half of them were cold. It also took an hour from start to finish for the food tall the dinner to be served. It was the worst service and when complaining the staff were extremely rude

This is a great little venue with lots of original features from the old days when it was a bank - especially the awesome tiles down in the loos - do go check them out! LOL. Friendly service and actually really good value for money - drinks and food. You can watch your footie here in comfort. Pity about the silly new mezzanine - it spoils the grandness of the old double-volume space.

Went for lunch here as I was passing. I opted for a very basic burger as I only wanted a snack but was delighted with the service I received , you would have thought I was a regular.I didn't get the name of the lady who served me unfortunately but she really made me feel welcome.

We visited during the festival so all the other pubs were busy & this one looked quiet, turned out for good reason it was rubbish.The staff were OK but service was very slow & the food quality was poor.The place is rundown & grubby, when you touch the table you stuck to it, sort of place well avoided.
