I reserved a table for my birthday party. my friends came from different backgrounds. All of us was happy with the food . Staff was friendly and patient to explain about the food to my friends. such a lovely place. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Banhmi QB is such a lovely and cosy restaurant. I had rare slice rib eye Pho. The noodle was just nice and soft, the broth was full of flavour. I was also impress with chicken and prawn springroll, very crunchy outside , the taste was perfect. We came as a whole vietnamese group and we all left satisfacorily . It was more than what I expected. 100% recommended.

The " bun bo Hue" is highly recommended. Super tasty. My friend had crispy roasted duck with egg fried rice. He was so pleased with the food too. The Vietnamese ice coffee is also very nice. the taste is very original not like others places. 100% recommended.

All of the restaurant's menus look great, but I can only try a few of them. I want to eat the whole menu of this restaurant next time

I love the food but will never go back because of the poor service. I used to visit this restaurant frequently because the food is fantastic, especially the pho and baguette—two of my favorite Vietnamese dishes. However, my recent experience was very disappointing due to the poor service. We ordered food and tap water, but despite several reminders, we didn’t receive the water while others who arrived after us had already received their drinks. When we asked a third time to another waiter, the waiter responded with a rude look and an impatient 'one second.' It left me feeling like customers who don’t order drinks aren’t valued. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider coming back, despite how much I love the food. Also, one more thing worth mentioning is that, they give you 5%off if you pay in cash. Think why is that!

Definitely not 4.6 rating to me. The food was generally ok, but the price is too expensive, even more expensive than London. Always want you to pay cash for 5% off. Charge service fee for no service.

My favorite restaurant in Reading—I visit regularly, about once a month. The food is always excellent, with an authentic Vientiane taste. It’s quite busy throughout the day, but the portions have started to get smaller, but still a good place to try.

First here, I'm impressed with the taste of the foods and portion! Also prices are reasonable. Just for the drink I ordered Vietnamese iced coffee, it served quite of a small glass, but other cold drinks were bigger glasses for same price. 🤔

We visited here for multiple times but the food and services significantly got worse this time. The noodles used to have a very good texture but this time is very chewy and weird, like a rubber band. The grilled chicken doesn’t smell as good and before. The two male staffs can be said as rude and ignore us when we asked for drinks. They even sighed and showed an impatient face when we order for the second time. Wouldn’t recommend as much

A little gem. Wonderful food really lovely food, cooked extremely well and very very satisfying. The staff are warm and welcoming and are happy to ask questions and explain how things are cooked and why they're cooked in certain ways and are very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to people to go.

Food with large portions at a good price. The pho was delicious and the broth is rich in flavour with a touch of sweetness, they were generous with the meat and the noodles have a nice smooth texture. Food came promptly, great customer service and staff are attentive.

Been here many times but today everything was especially outstanding - the pho stock was truly well done. The depth of flavour and presentation and generous prawns. Crispy Pork with Broken Rice and Spring Rolls/Grilled Pork on Noodles -- all so delicious. With all the dips and sauces to accompany the meals, I am reminded why I would always choose a Southeast Asian meal -- will never tire of it. Very welcoming service as always too.

It is a great place to have a Vietnamese meal. Staff are attentive, polite, smiley, and look after the customers really well. Our experience was excellent, and we would go back to try different food. I would recommend it 💯

Popped in for lunch on the recommendation of a friend, and am delighted. Had the papaya salad and vegetable spring rolls. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the atmosphere peaceful and relaxing, despite the fact the restaurant was busy with the lunch hour. We love coming to Banh Mi QB! The staff are always so lovely and welcoming and the food is amazing! The grilled chicken bahn mi is excellent- Definitely give this place a try - you won’t be disappointed!

What a great find! Really good , pretty authentic Vietnamese in Reading. Good flavours, lots of herbs, pickled garlic & chili condiments, plenty of gluten-free options. Salt & pepper squid, loaded with beef Phở on a cold night, some of the tastiest beef Bún bò Huế, papaya/shrimp salad were all excellent, as was the pandan leaf tea. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Get here early, it was very busy early evening. Definitely a strong recommendation, some of the best Vietnamese food since we left Houston. We’re coming back for the Cơm tấm rice plate soon!

Gorgeous food! Crispy pork with broken rice

We have been attracted by the good rating and made a destinated visit. We have ordered salted egg sea bass, which was an extremely small dish with only pieces of raw onions and 3 or 4 pieces of tiny slices of bad quality fish. We immediately noticed that there's no salted egg smashes at all when they served it on the table. We asked the staff at once if it was salted egg sea bass we ordered and he replied it was not and he started to wonder if they have made mistakes. But the other staff intervened, insisting it was salted egged. Obviously, he was lying. We didn't argue in the presence of my two guests so as not to spoil the dinner. The other dishes were all extremely substandard, namely -crispy roasted pork with egg fried rice -pho noodles soup beef shrank rare rib eye beef brisket -dry vermicelli noodles grilled pork -Vietnamese spring rolls prawn and chicken In short, the shop staffed by these 2 Malaysians was not honest at all and the food was bad in quality. The good rating of the shop is totally misleading or lined up orchestrated. We will never ever come back.

Very good quality pho noodle! And I eat here on a monthly basis. I would always picked the spicy noodle and crisp shrimps. Very recommended.

We ordered three seafood stir fry's and tofu summer rolls. Unfortunately with one waitress, it had the makings of terrible service, however Fearne was incredible. Able to make the changes, serve and suggest recommendations extremely well. Food was hot, made to order, fresh and tasty - lots of squid, prawns and other seafood was in plentiful supply, summer rolls were huge!!!! Great service, great food and huge portions. Restaurant is also well decorated and seemed to have a good number of Vietnamese family's there eating, which is always a good sign. Wish the broth used was suitable for non meat eaters, but still a great range of veg options.

I had the tofu with rice una. Tomato sauce and it was quite good. The salt and pepper tofu however is AMAZING! It is so good so delicious Nx full of flavour and the texture is top notch. I had the home made lime juice and my partner had the mango juice and the mixed pho which he said was great. The vibes were great and the service was great too

Was intrigued by the high reviews. However ultimately let down by value received. 2 starters 2 mains and 2 beers =£63+ including service. Egg fried rice with the Crispy Duck was extremely dry. Salted egg sea bass starter nearly £12 was insulting as a portion size as was the Crispy squid. Overall left underwhelmed and feeling ripped off. Won't be back.

I find it quite expensive for a little portion of the squid we order. They even forget my other order and I have to ask again the waiter, and they charge 12.5 % service charge. Why do u charge the service charge if service is not good? And their fish sauce is out of date.

I haven’t eaten banh mi for such a long time and I’m so glad I tried it in this restaurant! It’s as good as I remember it! This restaurant serves authentic Vietnamese food - my friends that bought other dishes also praised how delicious their ordered meals were! I tried the Vietnamese iced coffee as well, it wasn’t the same as what I’ve tried in other places before - that I would not recommend. But everything else was tasty and of good portion! The staff were all lovely, and they served all our food pretty quickly. Highly recommended!

I've been there twice with my friends and I absolutely love the food! The service is amazing (2 of my friends were quite late but they didn't make us feel unwelcome or even tried to kick us out) and quick with reasonable prices. I can see why they were so busy when we went. Would definitely visit again!

Wandering around Reading town and happened to find this little eatery. It had the Vietnamese restaurant vibes I was used to as a student in the US and visiting Australia and Vietnam itself Ordered Pho and Bun Thit Noung. Did not disappoint. So lovely . Will definitely return if we are in Reading again.

Hi everyone , if you go to Reading town centre and want to try the vietnamese cuisine go here , highly recommend going to this vietnamese restaurant , we tried the traditional phở bò ( beef noodle soup ) and the taste was exactly like in Vietnam , very big portion everything was fresh and super tasty , staff members were super friendly !

The food is very authentic, the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is amazing. The only downside is that they don’t Disclose the 10ish service charge when you eat in.

We found this place on the off chance. I am shocked that so many people have compared it to Pho or said Pho is better. My husband has been to Vietnam and we were both shocked by how tasty, fresh and well seasoned the food was. The Iced coffee was heavenly, papaya salad was to die for and we were happy with our mains. In life you get what you pay for 80% of the time and this is no different. It is not a chain restaurant and that is evident in the quality of the food and time it takes to come out. We arrives quite late but the staff were nothing but helpful, lovely and pleasant even past 9pm. We found the prices to be reasonable for the quality of what we ate. We are coming back to Reading just so we can bring our kids to eat here.

Beef noodle here is very good. If you cook, you know that soup base is the soul of a bowl of noodle. And, a good beef soup is a product of quality ingredients and long time of cooking. The only missing thing is Thai Basil...

Unreal find in Reading. Stayed here for an event and found some unreal pho here, so much flavour and can tell its been homemade. Spring rolls were very authentic and loved the pandan green tea.

Lovely Vietnamese restaurant. First time visiting for dinner, we booked 30 minutes before arrival. The staff was really friendly and the service was quick. The place has lovely decor and is very comfortable. The food was great! Chá Nem (prawn spring rolls) and Mon Rang Muoi (salt and pepper tofu) for starters, both great and really tasty. Beef brisket Pho and wok fried seafood Pho for mains, both delicious, generous portions and very tasty. Definitely recommend and intend to go back 👌

Wow, very authentic and tasty Vietnam food. We had one beef brisket and beef shank Pho, one rib eye and beef brisket beef shank Pho and one grilled pork with rice(picture 2). Soup is very tasty and meat very tender. Forgot to take a picture of Pho but approved by our little one :)

The place was nice, but I cannot say that I was satisfied with the service and unfortunately also with the food, since I couldn't taste it. We ordered 3 dishes (take-away), 2 of which were vegetarian, since I cannot eat fish. One of them (a bahn mi with tofu) was not ready in time (they were out of baguettes) and we had to catch a train, so we asked if they could kindly replace it with a papaya salad. Their response was that we had to pay another £2, £2 that we had actually already paid as a tip when we ordered. We agree to additionally pay £2 for a papaya salad with the banh mi's tofu, but to pay with the card we had to buy something more because £2 was too small an amount, so we had to buy a Coke. We got the food and got on the train, only to open the boxes and find 3 fish dishes... a forced diet I would say... * To answer to the answer below: both papaya salad and summer rolls contained prawns, sorry if the definition "fish" wasn't accurate. They are indeed NOT vegetarian, which is what we requested. We ordered *vegetarian* summer rolls. You could at least reverse the coke payment after placing the wrong order. Also, the reason we didn't have any time left was that you waited until the rest was ready to tell us that the other baguette would need 15 min more to be prepaired.

We are regulars here, always pleased with the food. Today was the first day we came with a newborn. We took slightly longer to finish our food. We haven't finished our drink, and my husband was in the toilet, haven't even paid yet. Suddenly the drink was cleaned when I put the baby in stroller. A little shocked. I thought perhaps they are closing soon, which apparantly not. It is 14.50 when we came out. Dinner time still a few hour away. Thus, changed to 3stars review today.

Authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Reading. From the atmosphere itself and the interior, it was pleasing to the eyes. The staff were lovely, and aside from that, the food was excellent. One food that stands out to me is salt and pepper tofu, I’ve been a fan of tofu, and this one was by far the best!! I loved it, the texture was crispy from the outside and tasty, and the inside was soft but firm! 👌🏻 still with taste! We also ordered their pho brisket beef which was also lovely! The portion size was enough. Lastly, the Pho Wok Seafood was also excellent. The noodle texture and the seafood were the right balance. Some work has only a little seafood mixture but this one was abundant and I liked it. Recommended 👍🏻

That is precisely what I experienced during my visit to this distinguished grilled pork restaurant in Reading, a highly recommended spot Bob叔 Upon entering the restaurant, I was instantly greeted with the tantalizing aroma of grilled pork, reminiscent of the bustling street markets of Hong Kong. The ambiance is warm, intimate, and authentically Asian, effectively setting the tone for the dining experience that awaits.

If yoy want proper Vietnamese food. Do walk in a bit further for this place instead of the one at the front. Yah? You won't be disappointed.

Marginally above average food but very high prices. Had a pho which unfortunately was just a shortcut pho (average broth, no spices feeding through, limited pho "garnish" provided just loads of bean sprouts), still decent but you won't quench your craving for anything real here. Spring rolls were just greasy, best thing about Vietnamese food is the freshness coming through the flavours but you don't find many good Vietnamese restaurants in England. Came to £34 for 2 pho and 1 spring roll and no drinks. High bar for high prices, just a decent restaurant, it won't be your go to unless you have low standards which is fine :D

Had noodle soup here regularly. In the latest visit the noodle portion shrinked significantly. It wasn't enough even for a lady. And this time, soup quickly made us thristy. Somethings' changed, and I didn't see familiar waiters to discuss about this.

Been here a twice now and always enjoyed,have starters and pho ,it has that fresh and exciting experience and a sure real authentic taste ,love the home made chilli paste and oil,next time I must choose another dish to tantalise my taste buds.
