If you are looking for a venue hire that has parking at the back, is away from the main town centre, has amazing cocktails and a simple delicious menu, that allows you to bring in your own catering if desired, and has a wonderful atmosphere, entertainment solutions, and staff, look no further! Even going down for drinks for a friendly catch up, where you can hear yourself talk over the music, a date night, a pre/post dinner drink, or for one of their monthly events such as; Quiz night, Drag Bingo or Bottomless Brunch it is always so much fun. The décor is warm and inviting and they even allow dogs!

You can't do better than the Angel bar in Caversham. Staff are super friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Cocktails are excellent. Happy hour till 7pm. Love the place. Highly recommended.

Fantastic bar in Caversham. Very friendly staff, very tasty cocktails, good selection of bottled beers, and on tap. This would be great for parties or a quiet place to have a drink and chat.

Great secret bar. Nestled away from caversham main high street, Table service, great cocktails and friendly team it is premium but worth the money.

We held a party here after my wife's funeral (she wanted a party, not a wake) and they pulled out all the stops. Thank you all for the sensitivity and flexibility you showed us. You helped turn a sad day into a celebration. She would have loved it!

Fantastic venue, visited tonight my friend had hired it privately. The catered fabulous pizzas, the vegan one was delicious and the sharing platter a work of art. The cocktail team know there mixology and turn around these quickly, reasonably priced and artfully served

Angel bar has the best atmosphere, the best cocktails & the best staff!! It’s beautifully decorated and has so much variety. I asked for a fruity drink and it didn’t disappoint! I felt like I was in Ibiza with the quality of cocktail 🏖️

I recently attended a private event at Angel Bar, and I have to say it was a really sweet place. The staff are kind and friendly - they had arranged some gorgeous mocktails as it was a mid-week evening event, and presented them in a really lovely way as well.

I attended an evening private function at the Angel Bar on Tuesday 19th September. It was the perfect, cosy venue for an uplifting talk by a hypnotherapist. Staff were friendly. Complimentary non-alcoholic cocktails were well received. Overall, a very enjoyable evening. I will continue to support this local independent bar.

It looked nice. I'm amazed a so-called cocktail bar has already called last orders at 10.29 on a Friday night, and wouldn't even let us in for one drink. I mean, the pubs are even still open; cocktail bars will likely have two peaks before dinner drinks and after. I suspect with this attitude (and only 2 other people in there) it'll soon go bust as other businesses in this area have (and presumably the previous owners also). Google lists it as open until 11 but be aware it clearly isn't. Shouldn't think we'll be back or recommend to anyone else.

Quick service, fantastic drinks, and really friendly staff. Music was banging as well. It's definitely worth a visit!

We visit this place twice on our holiday and it was definitely one of the most amazing restaurants on the island, nice little cosy place with amazing food and most friendly staff ever! See you next year as we looking forward to try more things on the menu :)

We recently hired the Angel Bar for a private function for my Mums 80th birthday. There were around 40 people in attendance and the bar could have easily accommodated 20/30 more if needed. The food provided was fabulous - we were able to choose what we would like and Meena and the team made sure that everything was perfect. The bar was decorated beautifully, the staff were super friendly and attentive and everyone commented on how much they liked the bar and how much of a good time they had. Would definitely recommend the Angel Bar for a private function, cocktails with friends or just a quick coffee as it has a wonderful atmosphere. It's just what Caversham needs!!!

Great little place. The cocktails were really good and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. We were only here a short while after another venue but next time I might aim here for the duration. Great fun.

Caversham has been crying out for a place as good as this. Great interior friendly staff and super cocktails. 4/7 happy hour what more can you ask for. Really not to be missed and soon this will become one of those places that everyone raves about

Lovely local cocktail bar. Went on a Weds eve and it was empty apart from us! (And another group who arrived later on). But it should be buzzing -- it's a good size, with very cool decor and an excellent cocktail list from £7-£10. I can recommend the margarita 👌 The staff were attentive and friendly. There's a selection of tapas/snacks too. Will definitely visit again.

A great night out, perfect atmosphere and welcoming staff, music not overwhelming so conversations were easy and pleasant. Wish I had realised there were food options. Exciting menu of drinks - will need to visit more to work my way through!

This place is a hidden gem tucked away in Caversham (still only a 20 min walk from Reading station). It's always been a cozy little wine bar but since changing hands in Autumn 2019 it's become a favourite spot of mine. A great selection of cocktails, beers and wjne. They always have a range of events on, from live music to quizzes. They don't do full course meals but they do have the tastiest food boards and panini which will still fill you up! This place gets booked up quickly in the evenings so I'd recommend reserving a table.

Staff are VERY friendly, pricing is good aswell as service. I believe Cass served me.

One of the best places in caversham, staff are on point and really friendly. Great to go for a couple drinks or make a night of it.

Really nice vibe in this small independent cafe/restaurant/wine bar but the coffee is absolutely terrible. I ordered a flat white and was given about half a pint of coffee that tasted like it might very well have been from a Nespresso pod. Given the relatively high standard of coffee in Caversham they really ought to up their game!

Only the 2nd time I have visited Tipsy Bean and I love it! Lovely place both day and night and in different situations! Staff excellent and so friendly. Love this place.

Amazing!! The staff are really friendly and the cocktails reasonably priced, especially during happy hour. Also, they are quite quick serving your drinks which is not always the case during happy hours.

Lovely cafe/wine bar. Great service, delicous food and a good selection of nice wines. Quiet during the day at weekends so nice to spend some time there reading a book or the paper with a coffee or glass of wine. Nice atmosphere in the evening, busy and social but not overcrowded. If I lived nearer I'd be in here all the time!

Great brunch sandwiches, lovely beer but service was a bit slow and one of two salads was a bit past best. I'd call that unlucky, previous visits were very satisfactory. It won't put us off but on this occasion, could do better!

Lovely ambience, good coffee. Was 5 stars but service very slow recently -- can only grill two toasties at once, apparently, for 40 covers. Really nice interior designed and finished to a much higher standard than, say, Costa. Friendly happy staff.

We had a party at the Tipsy Bean last night for my sisters 30th and it was awesome. The venue was the perfect, the staff were so friendly and helpful, they even helped to blow up a tonne of balloons. The food was really yummy! Antipasti types food which everyone raved about. Thank you for a great evening, would definitely recommend and we look forward to coming back soon!

A lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with fresh well prepared food. The Sloe Gin is so refreshing. The staff are friendly and very approachable. A very pleasant place to catch up with friends and family in Caversham, you will not be disappointed. I had the Ploughmans and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Chilled atmosphere and pleasant,friendly service. Fair prices and a special coffe and cake deal. Transforms into a bar in the evening. There is also a car park behind the Tipsy Bean with back door access! Great for business meetings. Sometimes the young Mums drop in and it can get noisy. .

Wed and Travis have set up a great coffee/wine bar! Great beer choices and coffee is about as stout and smooth as it gets. Go grab a cup of joe and take the lady. No wifi so you can put phones away and visit like real people.

Nice atmosphere, comfortable, excellent service, nice food. The background music is really annoying middle-of-the-road stuff. The home-made bread was dry and served with microscopic portions of butter and olive oil dip.

I've been to the Tipsy Bean twice now, once for a family brunch and another time With friend's for late lunch & tipple, both visits really lovely! Yummy Light bites, great selection of drinks, a nice atmosphere. A lovely addition to caversham. Thank you Tipsy Bean.

I am a regular at the Tipsy Bean and cannot speak highly enough about it. Great atmosphere, independent so unique. Relaxed, friendly staff and delicious food. They are dog friendly, with free dog treats. Perfect for coffee, meeting girlfriends and has a great bar with lots of cocktails !

My only experience so far has been a Monday afternoon, for coffee and cake. To be honest, I am not into 'coffee culture', as I cannot get my head around people willing to pay such an inflated price. I am pleased to say, Tipsy Bean charge a fair price. I have found some 'speciality' coffee way too strong, and to me, not that pleasant. For me, my Americano was perfect, smooth and palatable. They also had Almond milk for those with lactose intolerance. The portion of cake wasn't large, but reasonable, as was the price. My wife enjoyed the Coffee cake, and I enjoyed the Carrot. Both were fresh and moist. The other big bonus for us is that they are dog friendly. Giving our pup a bowl of water and a dog treat. It was quiet when we got there, mid afternoon. I believe they have free WiFi, and somebody was near the back on a laptop. The front two tables are by the windows, which are nice and bright, but the seating gets progressively darker the further you go back, as there is less natural light. I understand there is NO hot food, only serving cold platters, sandwiches and wraps etc. If it helps, a friend had a Halloumi wrap on a previous visit, and said it was very nice. I will definitely be going back.
