Fantastic front of house service from Yannick. So funny, he immediately lifted our mood. Great food and service from everyone.

Host, very rude 😒 best thing on the menu was the crepes, as shown below all you crepe lovers 😋

The staff were so friendly and helpful, we sat in the pergola area which was lovely! The pizza, cheesy garlic bread and fajitas are amazing. We have also been here for breakfast which is also very good!

Our first visit for lunch. The restaurant is situated in the Marina at Hamble. There is plenty of seating available outside, under parasols or under a covered area. Table was booked for 1 and a half hours, which was not a problem for us as it wasnt too busy and we were not rushed at all. The service was first class, from all of the staff. Thank you to all of them - it really made such a difference to the whole dining experience. Food is cooked fresh and again excellent. I had the Mac and Cheese lobster, which was A1. Not cheap but if you take in the whole exoeriece ; location, food, service and ambience, worth spending the extra few quid. Highly recommended. Thanks to all at Banana Wharf.

Lovely warm welcome from the manager. All the staff were friendly and attentive. We were served quickly. The portions are a good size and they have fabulous chefs here as the food not only tastes great but is really well presented. A form favourite. We’ll be back!

What a wonderful place. Food was amazing. But the best bit was the staff. Was greeted with a hand shake and felt so welcome. Well done guys will be back again. Oh and your chunky chips delicious.

What a lovely place. Food was excellent, staff were really friendly and kind. We came for breakfast based on the reviews on here, we were not disappointed. The pancakes and bacon were so nice as the bacon was in between the pancakes as well as on top. The breakfast roll was tasty and just the right size. Coffee, black americano, was good and strong but not bitter.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a delicious lunch. The service was first class, the staff excellent and the the restaurant is well placed in the marina, with a great view.

Excellent food, excellent customer service waiter had brilliant memory no need to write order down…….. regular customers & always fantastic that’s why we keep returning.

Excellent restaurant right on the waterfront. The menu is varied, the food is excellent and the staff very friendly. Be sure to try the breakfast with fresh fruit.

Great service and great food. Plus all you can eat ribs on a Thursday! We were seated and served by friendly and attentive staff. One person at our table asked how spicy one of the dishes was, and the waiter brought a sample to taste, and was able to ask the chef to offer an alternative sauce. Everything was delicious and fresh. Thought the place was busy, somone was always on hand to attend to us. Garlic bread was as good as Garlic bread can be. Duck tacos were stuffed with delicious filling, packed with flavour. Hamburger was cooked to perfection. The salmon was yummy and prepared especially for the person who ordered it. The truffle fries were okay, they were not terrible but they could have done with a stronger truffle flavour and didn’t need the cheese. Coleslaw was fresh and light. Ribs were soft and delicious, fell off the bone and moist. The ribs sauce was quite rich, I recommend not having and starters, so you can have more ribs 😬 wish we came hungrier. Bonus: Dog friendly

Lovely restaurant always enjoy the food here they have great staff and cooks.

This restaurant has a good view of the river, a good selection of food and helpful staff. Sadly they close too early. We eat there a couple of nights ago and they were trying to get us to leave from 8:30pm with us leaving at 9:30pm as we’re feeling under pressure and even turned the lights out a one point. I thought the restaurant stayed open later than this but for dinner but closes at 9:30 pm which is too early and not sure we will return for dinner. Might eat there for lunch in future. A real shame.

This place was very good but recently there has been a change in staff. Food is of a reasonable standard and a good selection of drinks. Good views of the river. (During the day) However, the staff try to close early (9:30pm) and try everything they can to get you to start to think about leaving from 8:30pm onwards. Even turning the lights on and off. They even resent preparing deserts commenting in ear shot of customers. When asked " are there more deserts to make, unfortunately yes" Sadly this venue seems to have gone down hill since a blond headed guy took over. As a result, this place is no good if you would like an evening out as you have to find somewhere else to finish your evening. We are now thinking of eating at one of the other restaurants in the area so we do not get kicked out! Come on Bananna Wharf, you can do better than this!!

Such a picturesque setting, right on the harbour. Despite Storm Derral, it was cosy inside, watching the boats bobbing about. The food was superb, and so much of it too! Throughly enjoyed.

Juicy burgers, soft ribs. Asian / fusion food not authentic but tastes alright. Donuts on the soggy side.

Really nice staff, all contributing to ensure we had a wonderful evening. Service was brilliant and well timed between courses. I had the Nasi Goreng which was totally awesome! Everyone loved their meals and we can't wait to return.

Food came hot for starters and main courses. Great if you are a crew of 8. Food was reliable and good. Service was friendly. Team worked together in adapting table preferences. Impressive use of it tablet between team members.

We decided to try the restaurant- it had a good selection of beers, the views were good ( perhaps a few too many yachts! lol ) We had seafood linguini and chicken fajitas. Both were well presented, cooked to perfection, and generous in portion. The person serving was very pleasant, informative, and helped us understand what else was in the area. A great experience

Like to thank Dan and his Crew for a spot on lunch. Went for Sunday lunch today and “what a lunch” I am not going to say it is cheap, but it is great value for money. Nice little added touches like a little pot of added gravy on the side, so much meat you cannot eat it all absolutely great. Going back next Sunday!!! Kevin

Need to get some staff, instead of ignoring customers that just want some coffee. Gave up waiting in the end. We won't ever will be back. Walked all the way back to Warsash where we could get service Gave this place a bad review before, last year when a major football tournament was the main news. However just visited & it has now gone very high in my personal opinion. We only intended to have a Coffee here, but I decided to have the ' Bacon sandwich ' & was blown away my the look & amount of bacon ( originally inside the sandwich, as my wife couldn't resist one slice). The bacon tasted great , along with the coffee & service we received, it's worth a better score than my previous review.

Not been for a while, but still as good as ever on all fronts. Booked for 3:30 on Father's day with family. I had Sea Bream with veg in a lovely Thai sauce. Biggest and nicest fish I have had in a long time. Great Father's day! Went again for my birthday. Disappointing that there were no specials, but what we had was excellent, with good friendly service. Not sure why they ask if a special occasion when booking? It was my birthday but no mention of it when arriving.

Visited here 25/10/24 , I can not recommend banana wharf hamble enough , I had a little trouble booking online but a promptly answered call during opening hours and Hannah made the booking for us excellent manor and very helpful , as much as Hannah’s service was faultless it was just a sign of things to come the staff on arrival very friendly and attentive without being overly so , as for the food WOW I can not rave about the food enough genuinely the best meal we’ve had this year flavour and presentation was nothing short of perfect. I just want to thank the whole team for an excellent experience for start to end , we will be back 🍻

food was amazing, super fresh and excellent quality. we've been a couple times, the first time was excellent. everything was spot on. we were very disappointed in the service this time around. The atmosphere was very loud, quite a few larger tables so understandable but could hardly hear each other over the table. The service was diabolical. it took 5-10 minutes to even have someone come up to order our drinks, we were offered water at arrival on the table but that never appeared (not the end of the world). we only ordered mains so we're happily left. the waitress didn't hear us ask for the bill which is absolutely fine but we were then blanked for 25 minutes, no one checked on us again. several members of staff walked past and avoided eye contact. every time we looked to find a staff member, no one was on the floor but rather in the kitchen eating. (understand you get hungry but when there is no presence in the floor there is a time and place) it then took another 10-15 minutes after receiving the bill to have someone give us the card machine. safe to say we were very disappointed and it has put us off coming back again

More dairy free foods please. Who knew sausages contain dairy! But great waitress/service who did her upmost to ensure we were catered for.

Nice staff. We both cleared our plates. One was three shell fish items in languini. Mine was Caesars salad. All excellent. Asked for my wife,'s Campari to be adjusted..graciously done. As it is within a marina down a private road car park charge 2.20 but free for 1 hour

We had a good meal here - great atmosphere and views, friendly staff, lots of tasty sounding options on the menu. The kids menu was good and they enjoyed the colouring pencils / sheets. Pizzas were nice but a bit like a higher quality supermarket oven pizza or a takeaway - tasted fine and all eaten up, but I perhaps expected more of a wood fired sourdough quality given the price and setting... Getting a better pizza oven to match the rest of the setup would be my main suggestion. Starters and sides were all very good though. We'd definitely go back. Would go back

They have gluten free but infact it's not the manager was very nice on phone but explained the kitchin is 2 small to be shure of safe to eat she said they don't use a separate or cleaned worked area when prepping. The waiters don't even understand its vital and ask if u have allergic to food even when you tell them gluten free .you don't understand the concept of gluten free or food allergic reaction. I would not recommend this place for people with any food intolerance On the pluss side it's a nice place

The food and the service at Banana Wharf is great! We are lucky enough to moor our boat at Hamble Marina and so it’s our ‘local’ but it really is a great place to be. Ryan has looked after us well this summer! Thank you!

Below average. Unfortunately that’s the only way to describe Banana Wharf Hamble. We booked for an anniversary celebration dinner however were left very disappointed. The service was very slow, having ordered and then waiting we were told that there had been a mistake and the kitchen hadn’t received our order so we were left waiting again. The food eventually arrived, my pizza was very dry and tasteless, probably the worst pizza I’ve EVER had. The staff were not friendly nor attentive throughout the meal. We were sat many times waiting for staff to clear plates etc, meanwhile they could be seen having a chat and ignoring us. To top it off, the staff were rude and unprofessional, taking empty glasses without saying a word and throwing the bill on the table and walking off without saying anything. We weren’t even asked how our meal was until I asked for the 10% optional service charge (which is added by default to all tables) to be removed. When I explained why I did not wish to pay the extra 10%, there was not even an apology. It’s a shame such I’ve felt the need to leave a poor review, in over 10 years of writing reviews they have almost all been 5* and I have never felt the need to ask for a service charge to be removed. I would not recommend this place and will never eat here again

Been multiple times and every time we had great time. Despite not booking table in advance, due to unexpected stop, coming back from Universal Marina on the rib, we got lucky and sat in the bar area. Place was really busy, but it was worth to wait. Food was delicious, one of the party said his Big Boy burger was the best he had very long time. My whole plaice with muscles from daily specials was the most delicious dish I have had very, very long time. Deserve 5*. Truly beautiful. I can't wait to be back again.

Great ambience and food in a great setting with a view of the Marina. Wide ranging of delicious dishes on the menu which look and taste amazing.

Lovely venue and good service, but value for money has gone out of the window. I had the prawn starter, which had 5 prawns for £12.50. My main chicken fajitas had 4 wraps, but perhaps half a chicken breast or less, bulked out with onions for £21. That’s half a chicken breast and 5 prawns for £32.50! Even the wine at £11 a glass tasted a bit cheap. Obviously the accountants are in charge here!

Food was amazing, pollo pesto pasta AMAZING!!! staff were faultless, super busy but all happy and go out their way to help some of our fussier friends in the group. will definitely be coming back soon and recommending to friends .

One of the most consistent places to eat in Hamble, always good when other places can be very hit and miss. Not cheap but good.

Can’t recommend here enough. The food is amazing, atmosphere is amazing. The service is great, especially by Emily. When it’s busy it can obviously impact wait times but the staff do amazing to keep up and keep everyone happy. 10/10.

We visit here every other week for lunch or dinner. Never had anything less than an incredible meal! Fantastic and friendly staff that can’t do enough for you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. 9 times out of 10 a doggy bag gets taken away by one of us due to the quantities! Very much looking forward to our next visit, and the one after that, and so on..!

We phoned to book and got told don’t worry just come on down… so we did and luckily they sat us. Upon arrival we got asked who told us that which we couldn’t answer ? They proceeded to push the blame onto one particular staff member which I didn’t think was fair and if I’m honest made me a bit uncomfortable. Food was good and service was okay. It is run by a younger team who did their best however I don’t need to know what staff member messed it up, that is a behind the scenes conversation. I’ve been coming here for years and that’s probably the worst overall experience I’ve had, won’t be hurrying back any time soon.

Spontaneous visit with the Wife and 2 children. From the first interaction asking for a table (we didn’t book) to how quick and pleasant the service was. The food was amazing, we were all impressed even to the point our daughter said it was her new favourite place. A big thank you to Emily, our server Molly and all the staff at Banana Wharf Hamble.

Mostly amazing but this time very disappointed.Middle of the day 2 tables when people already eat.Waiting outside for someone nothing went to to bar ask about menue.Over 20 min waiting …nothing . Thanks for a great service.

Had a family visit on Friday. Very good food, accommodating my very fussy tastes with a smile. Very good service. Just a little expensive.

It was disappointing to be told by bar staff that there is no 25% discount during happy hour on cocktails though on the website it certainly states 25% off ALL DRINKS. No prices anywhere on beer or cider, I don’t think we even got that discount on beer or cider. Two of those cost over £13. Staff at no point asked if we were happy with the meal and if we would like anything else.

Popped in here with family and had a lovely meal. Being able to sit at the table undercover, it was raining, and still watch all the boats was very relaxing. We ordered cheese and bacon burger, nduja macaroni cheese and a banana wharf salad. The service was extremely polite and efficient. Great selection of beers, ales, ciders and wines. I bet its very popular in the evenings. The food was lovely and hot and tasted very fresh. The only criticism I could make is its a bit expensive but I guess your paying for the location as well. Its a large menu so plenty to choose from. Ill definitely come here again.

We asked a lady if we could order some food but she had told us that we couldn’t order past 6 pm as she left we watched someone get served. We asked another worker if we can order and told us that we could . DONT GO HERE!

Food was amazing! Such good quality. One of our party said the burger was the best they'd ever had! Add that to great company and views over the boats and river, it was a wonderful experience. It did take 15mins to wait for a table even at 2.30pm, so next time we'll be sure to book. Highly recommend.

The star of the menu is defo the rib & wing combo, however, my daughter had the pasta dish, it swam in oil and made her poorly and my sons burger was underwhelming. The staff ((for most)) are friendly, but, they were either more interested with their family that was also eating or eating themselves, 1 waitress started to clear our plates then all I can say must have forgotten us coz out of 6 of us only 2 was cleared, no idea if they offer a dessert menu as we were left so long that we just went to bar to pay.

I just went for a ride in a motor boat with my brother who is a member of the club their. To me it was another great day out. Nice scenery and setup there esp with the breakfast cafe. Park is secure and plenty of spaces. Good bar with good service.

Love visiting, went yesterday for my birthday meal. First round of drinks was cleared from the tab and the service was impeccable.

Good food at reasonable prices. Portion sizes are inconsistent at times. Friendly staff who are always happy to help.
