First time having a waffle from here I must say it was actually really good. One thing they need to calm down on is over loading the chocolate sauce it gets sickly other than that the waffle was spot on and hot.

So many types of cakes to choose from including Middle Eastern desserts. Great with a coffee. Always friendly and space inside or outside.

A Middle Eastern dessert venue well worth the visit. I took my parents for an evening out to get some sweet treats. The trip here did not disappoint. We had Milk Cake, Baklava, banana split ice cream and Turkish coffee. The milk cake had just the right level of sweetness although the portion size is advice sharing between two. The baklava tasted up market, none of that plasticky aged taste you get from the supermarket offerings. The banana split ice cream had a real bananarie punch. The Turkish coffee came with Turkish delight. The coffee itself didn’t have that bitter punch to the taste buds but instead a strong bitterness that built on the tongue. I would recommend for coffee lovers. The Turkish delight had been made with rose water but the rose flavour wasn’t too strong. I hate rose flavouring normally but this was just the right level to enjoy it. Would recommend following a light meal elsewhere.

Had a baklava and Turkish tea, both amazing. The owner was very friendly and even added a free scoop of ice cream to my baklava. Staff were nice and friendly. Would definitely come back.

Had a latte. Up to my expectations and reasonably priced.

Decent but nothing groundbreaking. Ice cream is Carte D'Or so better than most places. Multiple baklava varieties are nice, there are traditional cakes as well but haven't tried them.

My kids and I went after school for ice cream. It was a great experience and the staff was friendly to my kids

I went to this place today and it was more than wonderful. I will definitely come back again. It was an excellent service and I enjoyed it with my family. The employer is a great person and a great staff.

The boss at the premises is a great guy, but the staff let it down. The girl at the counter attitude stinks. Very negative and unwelcoming. The lack of attitude has happened too many times with this girl and I won’t be coming back here for this reason, also on one time I had a conversation with another customer and they had felt the same with the attitude of the girl at the counter. So after giving it a second chance and still being treated poorly won’t be coming back here.

We ordered 2 künefes. While one of them was fully cooked, the other one arrived half-cooked. We kindly requested to have the half-cooked one cooked thoroughly. However, after making this request, the staff at the counter and the waiters approached us with a negative attitude and seemed to think that we were at fault. The attitude of the lady at the counter was particularly derogatory, and her tone was very rude. This is our second visit, and unfortunately, the demeanor of the lady at the counter continues to negatively affect the quality of service. I'm sure many people are no longer choosing this venue due to such experiences. We were disappointed by the negative experience we had. I kindly request that you take measures regarding this issue and consider our feedback.

This is the third time this place has messed up our order…. This evening we Ordered £30 worth of deserts via Uber eats - delivered the wrong order completely. As we weren’t happy to wait for our refund to process and wait any longer to risk another mistake like this we drive down to Bana desert where we the staff blamed Uber and refused to replace the wrong food we received with our right order…

i ordered this at around 9:30 and it didn't arrive until 10:45- highly disappointed and definitely a waste of money

Dry and cold and I asked for milk chocolate but they gave me chocolate

Delivery was great, milkshake tasted more milk than shake. Ice-cream was bland. Cookie dough was good

He doesn't care for rich desserts. Coffee and tea will be served with dessert. We had ice cream and apple pie for dessert Thank you again for excellent service 😊

By the time we got the coffee to the table it was cold and we had to wait longer for the cookies. The lady worked today probably because she had to and didn't want to. Ps. The taste of the coffee was ok, but if it was warm 👌

Nice Oreo chocolate waffles and coffee. My friend had baklava and it was delicious. Coffee and Arabic tea also very good. We went lunch time and it was quiet which we really enjoyed. Will come again.

Ordered pistachio waffle and didn’t receive pistachio gelato with it as advertised. Waffle was ok but sickly sweet for me. Wouldn’t order this again. Haven’t tried the rest of my order yet. The vanilla ice cream was very poor quality and tasted a bit synthetic. Delivery was on time although the driver went to the wrong address and had to be directed to my address.

We ordered chocolate and walnut and oreo cake.the worst cakes I've ever had ..lack of flavour not even sweet enough one of them and the other very sweet and sickly. very bland sponge and very dry with just a faded buttery taste.for the price I paid I expected to be at least nicer than supermarket cake but it wasn't. very dissapointed will not go there again.

Wrong items sent! Cheesecake is a defrosted one and not worth the money

I ordered 4 desserts; 3 were fine, but there was one error. I called Bana Desserts, and they immediately resolved the issue. They were very apologetic. I was shown how to get a refund on the wrong item that was sent. I had ordered an avocado smoothie, which I didn't really like. It left a horrible taste in my mouth. The macaroons and cookie dough dessert with ice cream went down a treat, though.

Nice sweet shop, could do with staff more engaged and ask guests if they need anything else.. also ensure the table has menues

Strawberry cheesecake ice cream had some artificial taste to it, didn't like it and went to the bin after few mouthfuls :( banoffee slice was frozen inside, however tasted ok, the sauce made all the difference, the filling was just high-fat cream. Toffee ice cream ok and carrot cake quite dry, but tasted fine. Not sure if will be ordering again..

Always guaranteed a friendly welcome here. The owner Osman is lovely and the staff are very friendly too. They serve very good coffee, and tasty fruit drinks and milk shakes. Plus cakes and big waffles. Drink your coffee in the sunny courtyard out front and you you could almost be abroad. Apart from the odd 76 bus rolling past up Gloucester Road. Opens late.

Just got a delivery from deliveroo, cheesecake wasn't anything like a cheesecake, only thing close was the base. I also got a snickers milkshake that must have seen the blender for all of two seconds, lumps of ice-cream in milk with a quarter of a snickers in one lump at the bottom. Definitely won't be going back

Best Arabian dessert in Bristol. So authentic and delicious wide range of varieties that meet your tastes expectations. Great team and kind, very helpful I recommend it to anyone who wants to try different taste in sweets!

Really nice cake. But you need to sweeten the fresh lemon juice, not trying trying to jump start my car or cure scurvy.

Good packing for delivery. Good selection of baklawa. Sundae was ok too. But banoffie pie is just terrible and i wouldn't order it if i knew it looks different from the classic one,,(was no pic on uber eats). I didn't like the taste of it at all, i ate just 1 spoon of it and was enough. Maybe other ppl gonna like it...who knows 😏

Cheesecake was pretty much like cream/mousse texture. The chocolate sauce was excellent. Probably recommend other desserts but we didn't try it there. Also, a bit smoky.

Ordered from ubereats last night. Food was good for a dessert bar but one of the staff though it would be funny to mock my name (very original, must say) and leave a note on the box that said 'By the way BMW is better :)'. Not sure that's the way you should be treating your customers. Hope the manager sees this, have a picture as proof

I had a lovely little ice cream date here during the heatwave. The staff were so warm and friendly and the ice cream was delicious!

Waffle and shake i had was alright, prob not worth the money spent though. Waffle specifically was larger than expected which is a plus.

Wonderful!!! The Orange Juice was just like I had on holiday, you could taste the freshness. The Cheesecake was like proper old school Cheesecake. I haven't tried the Ice-cream yet but bet it will be fine.

I ordered cookie dough , (too good to share) and its was amazing very indulgent... However what slightly put it down was the waffle , it could have done with it being cooked longer was quite *soggy* Also choose the Chocolate and Caramel Pastissrie it come in a generous serving very indulgent and enjoyable,

One of the worst desert places iv ever ordered from. Milkshake was like water... I mean water is thicker than this milkshake. Went into the bin. Waffle was soggy and I have no idea why it was slit through the middle. Wont be ordering again. The reviews must be there own. As there is no way anyone would give these guys 5 stars.

My daughter and I just made a late night trip to Bana Desserts for cheesecake and we have not been disappointed. Ashamed to say I didn’t know it was there before tonight but we’re already planning our next trip. The cheesecakes were absolutely stunning but not sickly making it easier to eat faster. Wish I’d got two pieces. The selection of desserts is eye popping and it’s hard to say what I’ll have next time. The staff here are lovely. Can’t wait to go back

Stumbled across this place after eating dinner next door. Great selection of desserts from macaroons to ice cream. Delicious coffee as well. Decaf was also available and a limited selection of gluten free goodies. Definitely recommend popping in here, very friendly staff and they are open until 1am!!

We had three kinds of cheesecake and they were all delicious. This is an amazing place!

Just visited with a couple of friends and had some fabulous cheesecake. There was a fantastic selection of flavours and a huge range of other desserts as well as ice creams. The staff were lovely and welcoming. I think we need to move to Bristol so we can come here every day!!

Definitely will be going again! The cake was incredible (both, the cheesecake and the baklava). You have to try the Arabic tea! It is the first time I find it in the UK. They made it with fresh mint, it was terrific! Staff very nice and friendly too.

visited today with my 2 year old and 5 month old along with a friend with similar aged children. The customer service was excellent, they even brought out little activity bags for the children. We had banana waffles which were delicious! I would definitely recommend this friendly and welcoming place

Looks so clean and Amazing desserts

We have been to Bana twice in the last few days. My kids absolutely adore this place. The owner/ manager is one of the nicest people I’ve met, very good with the children. Let them try loads of the desserts and spent loads of time talking and joking with them. The desserts are delicious and great quality, the baklava is fresh, authentic and well made, the coffee is amazing. The staff really care about their customers and the food they make. My kids have asked to come back for their birthdays to have the famous monster shake. We will definitely come back here and support this amazing business. It deserves it!! Thank you Bana!!!!

Great food and excellent service!

I was scouring Gloucester Road for dessert places and saw this place, it's right next to Lonas. At the time we went, they haven't fully launched yet. My friend and I wandered in thinking they just do cakes and baklava mostly, asked for a menu and saw they did some awesome looking crepe/waffle flavour combos too. They did mention their cakes and cheesecakes just came in, so they we super fresh. Sold. We got: ▪️Ferrero Rocher cheesecake - Looks can be deceiving, it looked like it had a decent biscuit base but it was much thinner than I thought. It needed a better base to cheese filling ratio. Also the cheesecake filling was more like whipped cream rather than cheesecake consistency, super light but not what I expected. Flavourwise it tasted nice but tbh I wouldn't get it again. ▪️Tiramisu cheesecake - My friend had this, they said it was like a slice of tirimisu rather than cheesecake consistency, so similar to mine. Tasted nice but wasn't a cheesecake as it lacked that biscuity base. ▪️Pistachio land crepe - My friend wanted more so we got this as well, they couldn't finish it all, so I helped 😂 Omg this was so good, it had tiny pieces of butterscotch candy on it with the salted caramel sauce, crushed pistachios and white chocolate drizzle. That combo was wonderful and the crepe was cooked well. Since they haven't launched properly yet, they didn't have pistachio ice-cream, so instead gave vanilla ice-cream topped with a crushed pistachio spice mix. I couldn't figure out what was in the mix but it was superb. I would highly recommend trying out their crepes and waffles, they're a bit adventurous and do more than the standard flavours, which is awesome. Probably wouldn't go back for the cheesecake though, personal preference tbh.

Lovely interior with comfortable seating, relaxing ambience, friendly staff, a wide variety or delicious desserts. Be sure to leave some space at Lona's next door and then pop round.
