Large chain, standard menu offerings, busy, noisy setting, but good sea views, nice outside area. Food came quickly once managed to order at the busy bar. Burger sauce was the best item. Small burger Pattie, creamy coleslaw, hubby had monkfish scampi, bit over battered. Both sets of chips under cooked, when we were asked how our meal was, our reply was just received with blank stare and no response before waiter cleared our plates and left! Buffet breakfast the following morning as we expected! Basic sausages, overcooked black pudding, the bacon, mushrooms and hash browns ok, had run out of baked beans, but at least you could order different eggs if didn’t fancy fried.

What a good restaurant. Total of 6 people two were staying at the hotel and said how lovely it was. We had a lovely meal there on our first night in Seahouses. A variation of seafood Linguine, Special burger, Pie of the week and fish and chips. All ended up with rave reviews. Personally I had the linguine, it was absolutely stunning. Tasted clean, fresh, flavoursome and brilliant portion sizes. A couple in the party went for the chocolate brownie dessert which was a bit dry and a little underwhelming. The service was good, although the bar could get a bit busy and only one out of three behind the bar actually serving/taking food orders. The view over the harbour/seafront was gorgeous and decor really in-keeping with the seahouses vibe. Nice clean facilities and plenty of space so you’re not crammed in like sardines.

My family and I have just returned from a meal for 4 at the Bamburgh Castle Inn in Seahouses. Perhaps the usual chef was ill but this was one of the worst meals we have ever had. The carrots and parsnips were hard, the chips were raw in the middle, the chicken was unseasoned and the sweet potato curry had no flavour. The flatbread which I had to pay extra for was hard and tasteless. Not only were the meals expensive, I was told off by a member of the bar staff for standing in the incorrect place when waiting to place my order. She was so rude and unpleasant that 2 other customers joked about it to me afterwards. I do not like complaining or conflict so we left without finishing our meals and didn't complain, which was perhaps a mistake. Very disappointed.

We visited for breakfast in the summer holidays and have a lovely hour, with a table overlooking the harbour, and good coffee and good food! Between us we had the Eggs Royale and the Full English and both were good - clearly cooked fresh, nice and hot, with nice quality ingredients. Service was friendly and welcoming and the pub is done out nicely so is a lovely place to spend some time.

Below average food. Price is expensive for what you get, presentation poor and food was tasteless. Cajun pasta was just slightly spiced tomato sauce and scampi was ok but more like kids fish goujons! Ice cream sundae, which should be easy to get right was very poor. Chantilly cream was just squirty cream, ice cream had ice throughout and portion size may well have been a kids - crazy at nearly £8. Views are amazing but price and food rule this out for us again. Such a shame as we are in Seahouses a lot but it seems this place has really gone downhill.

Terrible breakfast, four of the group had a cooked breakfast, the overcooked with cheap sausages and bacon. I ordered toast which cost £3.50 for two cold hard slices of brown bread. Incredibly rude service from the waitress. 5 breakfasts of which one was inedible toast and 5 hot drinks came to over £70, very disappointing.

Decided to have the carvery at Bambourgh Castle inn in Seahouses. The staff great the place very clean. The food not good at all. They no longer do the Sunday carvery, so we went for two roast dinners. Have to say very underwhelming, every bland roasted potatoes dry and no color, veg really bland very basic. They used to do the carvery is was lovely and really good nice. Really disappointed that the web has not been updated to say they no longer serve the Sunday carvery. Review I will not eat here again, this is the second time within two months where I have gone for food and if has been awful

I ordered the burger, with all the bits, but without the bun. What arrived was a disgrace: a really chewy beef burger with a smear of cheese on top, one wafer-thin slice of tomato, half a wilted mini lettuce leaf and the merest hint of some kind of sauce. Just plonked on a plate! No pickles. No salad bits as decor. Laughable, and any chef would have been embarrassed to send that out. I did express my dissatisfaction to the waitress and asked her to ensure she told the kitchen. I did not ask for any recompense, but nothing was forthcoming. The hotel should have offered something … but they didn’t. My husband had steak pie, which he was reasonably happy with.

Venue and staff great but Sunday lunch was worse than a school dinner @ £33 for two! The beef dinner was part under cooked and part over cooked all piled up in the middle of the plate, swimming with gravy. The Gratin roast veg dinner was a nut roast which looked like an over done flap Jack, the veg was all boiled and sad again swimming in gravy with an overdone Yorkshire pud which would make most chefs cry. Here all week but will go elsewhere sadly.

We ate dinner here on our last night before heading back home. We had the steak and ale pie at over 17 quid. London prices for nowhere near the quality! It was all pie and no meat. We noticed that the pub had started to put out Xmas decorations already, and it was August! The place is obviously desperate for business. Such a shame as it did put a black mark on our otherwise excellent break in this wonderful county!

With food of this 'quality' at these prices, you can really see why so many pubs are shutting. £60+ for 3 basic dishes and 2 pints... Pubs need to stop ripping off people, otherwise everyone will stop going out.I had a 'seafood' linguine, containing a whole 3 prawns, 5 mussels and some scraps of fish... £18. You'd expect it to taste of the sea, but I had to add salt to make it taste of anything, it was bland and the mussels were badly cleaned, 2 were gritty. You expect higher prices in touristy areas, but this just feels like profiteering. This is a fairly bog standard chain pub, serving below par food at top notch prices. It's the kind of experience that makes me think staying in and cooking makes far more sense.

VERY DISAPPOINTING VISIT. Nice location, pleasant surroundings. Ordered a cup of tea and a dessert. Received the tea immediately. I kept thinking they would bring the dessert soon. I was reading a book then looked at my watch; 1hr and 15mins had passed. I went to the bar, the senior staff member didn’t seem happy that I queried what had happened and passed it to a younger member of staff. I asked what was happening, she held up the coffee grinder and said she was busy making a drink. At no point did she apologise. I called on the younger staff member to tell then I was now leaving and didn’t want the dessert. The older staff member appeared, took the receipt, I asked her if she knew what had happened, and matter of factly stated she didn’t know, could have been missed but didn’t know. I stated I wanted a refund. She said she could give a refund if I wanted it and only then apologised that I hadn’t received. But that there had been a shift change in staff so knew nothing about this. I got my refund and left. I’m not interested in the staff change, also I would have expected an experienced member of staff to have immediate apologised for the very poor service. Found out exactly why the order was not brought to my table. And volunteered a refund. She tried to made me feel like I was an inconvenience, she had more important things to do and sorting my problem was not paramount.

Visited here a few times over our holiday in Seahouses. It has had a fabulous refit since we were last here. The bar area has doubled in size. Perfect setting for food or just a drink. Very friendly staff. Beer garden offers excellent views of the harbour and over to Bamburgh Castle. We are here on a Tuesday evening, everyone’s food was lovely. Quickly served by lovely staff. I can recommend the burger! They even accept blue light card so this was a very pleasant surprise discount! Immaculately clean, good toilets and facilities. Specials menu as well as the regular menu. Looking forward to returning next year! Dog friendly, just one small section they can’t go in. Plenty of water bowls and a water station set up for them!

Well we got back late on and needed to find somewhere to eat TBCI served until 9pm so great we thought. First night Katsu Chicken Burger was lovely and Hubby Pie equally as nice…. Next evening again late back so thought let’s go again however it was a completely different experience. Many food options not available and what we did have Lindesfarne Chicken consisted of tiny portion of mash a few peas sprinkled on top, tiny bit of green (cabbage I think) and a little chicken thigh thing on the bone, we were both unimpressed and hungry. Very unlikely to return and it seemed to be the same experience of other people during the breakfast chat at the B&B wher we stayed.

It looks lovely from outside. I had fish and chips which was ok, but my husband and daughter had pie and mash which was awful. The mash definitely wasn't mashed it was just a solid lump with hard bits in which were inedible and the...

We ended up in the Bamburgh Castle Inn on the 26th October. arrived at 8pm. At first all seemed OK and it was relatively quiet. We ordered our food and were a bit surprised at the cost but expected something special. We asked for the...

Let me start with the positives. The view was great and most staff were friendly. And now for the negatives. Menu for GFs is very limited. Table was that sticky, our glasses stuck to the table. I had mushroom risotto. The rice was over cooked...

We had breakfast and one evening meal here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean. No character but has good views of the Farne Islands from the garden. Very canteen like and average pub like food.

The hotel is very well positioned, overlooking the harbour. Whilst our room was good, it was somewhat overpriced we felt. The food in the restaurant is palatable but by no means great. Parking is a real issue as the hotel has too few parking spaces...

Bought some beautifully grown bedding plants for a reasonable price. The hanging baskets were stunning. Very tempted.

It was ok but nothing to push the boat out for. My daughter wanted chicken tikka panini but apparently had no tikka, I asked for a sandwich on brown bread cake but they had no brown bread cakes left. Really?? And this was only just after noon. Nothing special about the ham sandwich which all in all tasted bland. The dog ate most of it.

Cool bar with friendly clientele. Staff are smiley and attentive. Love the skiing theme and the Brewdog beer. Great having the ski videos on the big screen aswell. Just a thought, have you thought about showing the live skiing on Eurosport/Discovery+?
