Have eaten here before and the food is always nice. However the service tends to be rather slow due to having limited staff available (not the employees fault) Most resent visit we waited 20mins before someone came and asked for drinks to start, hence why the food is rated at 1 star this time as we didn’t make it that far. Would love for the service to improve so we can come more often.

A Gem Among Indian Restaurant Bambukat Sheffield is undoubtedly one of the finest casual Indian restaurants in the city, delivering an authentic culinary experience that leaves a lasting impression. Nestled in the heart of Sheffield,. The highlight of the menu is undoubtedly the Thali. A perfect showcase of India’s diverse and rich flavors, the Thali is an assortment of dishes that strikes a harmonious balance between spice, aroma, and taste. Each element of the platter—from the creamy curries to the perfectly spiced dals and freshly prepared rotis—feels carefully crafted. The portions are generous, making it not only delicious but also excellent value for money. Truly, the Thali at Bambukat is worth every penny. The atmosphere complements the food beautifully, with a warm and modern interior that exudes a touch of Indian charm. The staff are welcoming and attentive, ensuring every diner feels special and well-cared-for. Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or a first-timer, Bambukat Sheffield is a must-visit. It’s the perfect spot for a casual lunch, a romantic dinner, or even a special celebration. The restaurant raises the bar for Indian dining in Sheffield, offering an unforgettable culinary journey that keeps you coming back for more.

Super tasty food from Bambukat!!! Chole bhature and paneer shashlik as good as Delhi food. 9/10. They didn't give mango chutney. They gave rattan which I couldn't eat as I don't find raw veg to be hygienic anywhere outside the house. Amaaaazing their samosa chaat is fab too. Hubby wanted to rogan josh to be tender. 5tara does it nice and tender he said but bambu's sauce was tasty. Ordered so can't say reg the ambience Best Indian food in Sheffield. This is coming from a Delhi girl.

I went in to satisfy my craving for an authentic Indian meal as opposed to the ones you get in the ubiquitous Indian subcontinental restaurants. The person waiting our table (who I later found out was also the owner) told us about the discounted thali offer (10 pounds instead of 16!!) I ordered the paneer thali and a mango lassi. The thali had VERY generous servings- of a main paneer curry, dal, potato sabji, naan, rice, papad, yogurt and salad. The quantity for this price was unbelievable to the point where I almost questioned the quality of food. I was proven wrong when I took in the first bite of my paneer makhani. I do not have enough words to describe this dish. I took a moment to savour it thoroughly. Not only was it a proper paneer Makhani you'd eat in India, but it was exactly like the paneer my mom would make me. I could have cried with joy! I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I had to take some home as it was too generous a serving for my tiny appetite. I am going to go here as often as I possibly can.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bambukat, and I must say, it was an exquisite culinary experience from start to finish. Nestled in Fulwood Rd , this restaurant offers more than just a meal; it delivers a memorable journey for the taste buds. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance was inviting, with stylish decor and soft lighting that set the perfect mood for an evening of fine dining. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the immaculately set tables to the soothing background music. Now, let's talk about the food. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The menu boasted a delightful array of options, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you're, a meat lover, or a vegetarian, there's something for everyone here. One standout dish was the Chole Bhature, which was cooked to perfection and left me craving for more. The ingredients were fresh and locally sourced, highlighting the restaurant's commitment to quality and sustainability. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about ensuring that every guest had a memorable dining experience. From recommendations on wine pairings to accommodating special requests, they went above and beyond to exceed expectations. In addition to the outstanding food and service, the value for money at Bambukat is remarkable. Overall, dining at Bambukat was an absolute pleasure. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend paying a visit. With its delectable cuisine, inviting ambiance, and impeccable service, it's no wonder that Bambukat has earned its reputation as one of the finest dining establishments in Sheffield, Fulwood Rd.

It takes courage to dare to be different in a market as crowded as that of Indian resturants. And yet this unpretentious eatery in Sheffield's Broomhill distract has prospered by doing exactly that. Sure, you'll find the obligatory onion bhaji, but even this concession to the mainstream is served in a singular way. We tucked into their glorious deep-fried tofu, tasty small bites coated in breadcrumbs, intruiging lotus fries, a throughly well-executed tarka dall and the Vada Pav. Ah yes, the Vada Pav. This is effectively BK's signature dish made to a traditionl Mumbai recipe. It's a kind of spicy meatless hamburger but is an essential item on the list of all lovers of good indian food. At under£48 to include two glasses of Chardonnay and three lagers, it was a bargain. We left well satisfied and resolved to come again.

Being an Indian and loving Indian street food I really ensured that I had low expectations from the place. But even with my low expectations I was appalled at the food when they served it. I ordered pani puri, bhel puri and momos. The pani puri, if you could call it that had LITERALLY one tiny piece of potato in each puri and we got 7 tiny puris. Even at the worst shop in India you could expect a better filling of chickpeas, potato and onions. The pani served with it was just blended mint and water. The bhel puri had a sour flavour which was the only thing that registered. We got 5 tiny momos which were clearly frozen and tasted horrible. I have had better frozen momos and dumplings from the supermarkets than this. The worst part was it was quite obvious that the manager was aware that the food is not what one gets in India. He did not bother to check if the food was okay. I saw many British People in the shop and I feel really terrible knowing that they would be misled to think they were being served Indian food when in reality they are just being cheated out of their money. Overall the food was abysmal and the portions were unacceptable and it was not worth a single cent. The only good thing I would say is that the waitress was a really sweet person who was the only person who cared about customer service. Avoid at all costs the place has sticky floors and yucky food.

We selected a choice of starters all of which were tasty and a chicken, lamb and fish curry for mains. Though the dishes were not too hot we could have had a little more spice. The chilli and garlic naans were delicately thin and light which is great as they do not serve naans this good in other restaurants. We shared a lamb rogan josh, kadahi chicken, pilau rice and cheesy naan and would enthusiastically recommend all of it. Big fan of the street food scene. Missed out on our last few visits to Sheffield for various reasons but finished off a pub crawl on Good Friday at this lovely relaxed cafe. A couple of gin and tonics with 3 small dishes and a naan was a good end to a long day out. ( also excellent pappadums to start.) Loved the chana and the keema. The chicken dish was also great. Usually end up in Zara in Crookes but happy to finish here. Well worth a visit.

We have ordered takeaways three times from Bambukat and it is honestly the very best we’ve ever had. Not a single dud dish. A huge variety of flavours and interesting, novel small plates. This place beats Dishoom on authenticity and quality and is an absolute gem in Sheffield. Lotus fry and Delhi aloo tikki chaat stand out dishes but all delicious.

Mal dirigido, con una calificación de higiene terrible. ¡Evita! El propietario de este lugar ha sido escrito como el peor propietario de Gran Bretaña

This was our first visit and it will definitely not be our last! Delicious food , friendly staff, great service , fresh , tender meat in both curries and starters. Plenty of choice on menu , we stuck to our favourites chicken madras and lamb Rogan , peshwari naan and pilau rice . All were lovely . Definitely would recommend . If anyone is missing the Mangla , this could be their new go to. It's going to be ours .

Ordered my usual Bengal tandoori chicken tikka naga, with 2 lemon rice and a crispy naan bread. I also asked for some chopped coriander in a tray and they forgot, so they drove up the hill and stopped me to give me the coriander and a lift home. Incredibly nice people and really excellent service. I wish my wallet and waistline could handle their food every evening. No water and no grease. Really tasty and healthy food. These guys are legends and I love their takeaway. The best in the area.
