Great food service was excellent 👌 & they sorted a taxi for us 😀

It was late when we happened across the Curry Spoon after a night at the football, but the staff were very attentive and welcoming and the food was really tasty.

The best curry house around! I don't do takeaways that much because I'm a bit fussy about quality but this restaurant hits the spot. Incredible traditional food. Great service every time, really friendly staff and very reasonable price.

We placed an order over the phone at 7.15 on a Saturday evening and were told it would be ready to collect in 45 mins. We duly arrived and had to wait a further 45 minutes. Food arrived at our house ( which is literal round the corner) at 8.40. Not acceptable! No remorse or apologies- shocking service for take away will not be going again! Be honest if you can’t provide the service say so and people can go to where they can! Cash only by the way - does the tax man know!!!

Tonight was our first time here since the revamp. It’s even more cosy. Very busy but staff still managed to bring food out at reasonable times. Love this place. Very well looked after indeed.

Our first takeaway from here the food was so tasty just not that warm all the food was Luke warm but hasn’t put us off we will definitely order again

The food was piping hot as were the plates which I think is great as hate warm food! The waiters were friendly and we had a joke around with one service quick plenty of food on plates def go again as got such a huge menu to choose from highly recommed them

Order a takeaway to collect and it was beautiful. Chicken karahi Was amazing, Not had a takeaway curry for a while as they tend to have no flavour and all taste the same when not in a restaurant. Was recommended so thought we’d try it, best curry I’ve had in a while. All the food was beautiful. Will definitely be ordering again and going in to the restaurant also.

Curry was lovely. Lost stars for the red food colouring. I was wheezy all night. No need for food colouring in any Asian food. And no private contact details to be more discreet.

First time trying this place after a recommendation from a good friend. Booked a table for 8 of us. Service prompt and drinks served quickly. I had lamb chops for starters (£4.95) and they were a delight. 3 large meaty chops with non-hot spices, soft onions and side salad. Suitable for those with no tolerance for chillies. My main was lamb jalfrazi with garlic bread and rice. Pretty damn good as well. All 8 of us enjoyed our food and had a very positive experience. They have a good range of curries for those with low chilli tolerance. Will definitely recommend giving this restaurant a go.

A mid week treat from our daughter, we ordered poppadoms, pickle tray, onion bhajis, chicken tikka, 2 rice, 1 chicken rogon josh, 1 chicken tikka jalfrezi, the poppadoms were nice and crispy, the pickle tray, plenty of variety, and complemented the poppadoms nicely, the onion bhajis were quite small and not as crispy as we like them but OK, our daughter enjoyed the chicken tikka starter, the pilau rice nice and fluffy, the only let down were the 2 main stars of the show the Curries, my chicken tikka jalfrezi turned out to be a chicken dupiaza a bland hot sauce full of onions and chicken, NOT chicken tikka and was swimming in oil, no green chillies, peppers or tomatoes, it was definitely not jalfrezi I've been eating Curries for over 40 years so know the difference, my wife's curry rogan josh was a red sauce again swimming in oil, with no peppers, we ordered after seeing the good reviews, but we're left disappointed,

Expensive take away really curries ok but starters appalling soggy poppadoms and prawn puree like rubber. Couldn't find my flat stood on street looking for him and he went other way and left me in rain for ages

Excellent service food was excellent can't wait to go back.

Tandoori Chicken literally uncooked and translucent in places, order hours late and cold. Never again.

Always well looked after by the staff very polite, friendly and go above and beyond. Shared the Mixed starter for 2 with pickle tray and poppadoms, the Starter which came sizzling was very tasty, we then had the Chicken Tikka Garlic Balti which was full of flavour highly recommend this dish. Once again wasn’t disappointed and will going again! Plus the red sauce is delicious! Keep up the good work guys!

Very good curry for Sheffield. Chef is apparently from Bradford. Will be returning.

Honestly was disappointed? Booked for delivery on website said free delivery Then when delivered was £2.50 extra ? Can live with that but? Food Ordered mixed kebab,salad bang fresh,chicken tender n tasty, onion bhaji pathetic,kebab cooked in old or burnt oil had a funny taste Jalfarize again chicken bang on but onions under cooked etc All seemed rushed Guy was polite and friendly But will not be rushing back Shame

Our takeaway was hot when we got it home and the food was beautiful. The balti spi cha lamb (lamb balti with spinach and chickpeas) was to die for, chocca full of big, meltingly tender chunks of lamb in a flavourful, savoury sauce that perfectly complemented the meat. The portions were generous and the naan fluffy. We’ll definitely be back.

Overpriced for small portions, with very little meat, some items cold, but all fairly tasteless. Would not go again.

First time customer and I ordered a takeaway instead of sitting in. It was absolutely gorgeous! Very fresh and piping hot when it was delivered (delivery was on time and the lady who delivered it was an absolute delight too). I would definitely recommend - it’s also so nice to finally find an Indian restaurant that serve proper chunky chips instead of the skinny frozen kind.

We visited Sheffield for our 11th wedding anniversary (which is steel). We spent the day after exploring & found The Curry Spoon. We called back later & got a table straight away. The food was delicious & presented very well. The staff were all very welcoming & friendly. We shall definitely go back when we visit Sheffield again. Definitely one of our hilights of a wonderful couple of days.

I am very wary of eating at any Indian or having a takeaway as I am nearly always disappointed, however, my sister had ordered a takeaway and left me some as she and her husband couldn't eat it all. I was in heaven, the balti was absolutely gorgeous, I had half of a chicken balti and a half of a fish balti with mushroom rice. OMG! You must eat from here if your a curry lover. Ive ordered the lamb balti since, the week after I ordered a tikka chicken balti with again the mushroom rice, both times were delicious! Highly recommend this place. The poppadoms are so light and tasty too. My go-to place from now on. The delivery guy turns up in a suit, very courteous. Cant go wrong. Well done guys and thank you for putting my faith back in indian takeaway food yummmmy. Best in Sheffield! My go to place about 6 years ago was Prithi Raj on Eccalsall road, YUK, i went there a month ago DISGUSTING FOOD!! So was extremely disappointed, Now this!! WOW, Blows my taste buds to heaven! Not sorry for long post, I have needed this for years.

Wow. Well look no further... My today's Dupiaza was best I ever had. Three dimensional flavour unravelling layer after layer as you eat... The bhajis amazing, the naan super tasty. Obviously using high quality ingredients as even peppers and onions were super flavoursome. Service amazing. Owner lovely, caring and friendly. Our compliments to the chef! There is nothing to fault. We will be back!

It's the first time we've eaten here. We booked a table for 13 people. The staff were very polite & friendly. The service is quick & efficient. The food is very well presented & tastes very good indeed. The owner said to us, "Let the food speak for itself," & it did. I know it will become a favourite of ours from now on.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. The food is amazing! We had papadums, onion bahjis, garlic cheese naan bread, Bombay chicken, and a mango lamb dish. Everything was delicious! Everyone should try this restaurant! We’ll be eating our leftovers for breakfast. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable.

Been in a few times and the service as always been a really nice experience but the other night we went in the service wasn't so nice. I thought the waiter was a bit rude and arrogant but the food as always was really nice

Ordered from here twice already and both times were fantastic. Everything I've tried was really tasty and you can tell it's all fresh and made to order. The chicken doesn't taste reheated like other Indian places. Really reasonably priced especially with the discount for collecting it! There's a car park right next to it as well so it's convenient to get to.

Went for a meal for our anniversary.. absolutely fantastic food, service and really good value. Staff friendly and the restaurant itself was really clean and very busy. Give it a go, we loved it and will be back.

Toss up between here and another curry house on our way to pick up our son from work. We've not eaten here since it changed ownership. It's a bit nearer home, so we picked here. We weren't disappointed. Lovely curry. Good value. Nice menu to choose from. Attentive owner. 5* we will return

Went here on Saturday night as a table of 9 - Really impressed with the service, they were always asking if everything was okay etc. The food was really good, me and my partner had a chicken chat and onion barghi to start and a chicken tikka korma and bhuna as a main - All lovely, chicken very succulent. I'll be back again very soon!

Tried the Curry Spoon for the first time and we weren’t disappointed. Friendly service and excellent food. We went with our two young boys and they were made to feel very welcome. Naan breads were some of the best we’ve had anywhere in Sheffield and the Chef’s special chicken tandoori dansank was full of flavour and perfect spice level. Everything is cooked to order and so can be adjusted depending on preference. Spoke to the owner and they do takeaway, order by phone, with a website coming soon. Really pleased to have a good Indian back in Hillsborough, we’ll be back.

Just visited for the first time for Valentine's Day and was really impressed with the quality of the food. The range was varied, making it hard to decide what to have! The Portion size was great, the taste was amazing and the service was attentive. My partner was even given a rose as we left. I will definitely be back soon!

Just had the best lamb sag, peshawai naan, and mango fish starter iv ever tested 😋 everything was absolutely delicious and the flavours spot on, staff really friendly and brilliant service. Will definitely be ordering a take out soon to try at home too! X

We had the mango chilli fish and lamb curry was absolutely outstanding. If this is the level of service permanently we will definitely be visiting again. Everything was amazing.

8 of us went this week as grenoside curry club we were apprehensive as this curry house prior to been taken over wasn't the best but on reading the new reviews we decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed. We had 2 pops each and the pickle tray poppadoms were very fresh and the pickle tray was just ok could have been a bit more to go at just 4 choices but nice. We shared bread rice and chips with a different curry each. All the mains were great. The service was superb all in all one of the best we had experienced. Give these guys a go. Easily 8/10. We will be back

Dined here last night, group of 5, all had different meals, good service, food nice, we all enjoyed it, we will be back for sure

Had a lovely dinner back in early December. The manager welcomed us and told us we were his first eat in customers in their opening night. It was a warm welcome and attentive service and the food was excellent. Sizzling mixed kebab for 2 as a starter and great curries. Naan bread was one of the best we've had. All in all a great experience. We will definitely back, in fact we're off there tonight
