We visited Indus on the off chance on a busy Saturday evening, and despite how packed it was, they kindly found us a table. A friend had recommended the restaurant, and it did not disappoint! We had the Desi Lamb main (APNA style), and it was genuinely one of the best curries we’ve ever had. A special mention to our waiter, Taz, whose service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be returning!

Our first order with Indus, absolutely beautiful. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Portion sizes were very good, meat was tender and cooked perfectly. Number one India takeaway we have found over the last 5 years.

Without question the best Indian takeaway we’ve had. Never been lucky enough to dine in the restaurant as it’s always been fully booked. No need now, the delivery was just as good. Excellent food, great quality and super tasty. Would definitely order from them again.

Food was okay but arrived cold and was swimming in oil , this place is sometimeish sometimes it tastes nice sometimes it’s not nice

Curry wasn’t what I ordered it was awful chips was cold bahjis was cold I asked for garlic on my bread and didn’t get it sorry it was really poor

the fact they offer clearly marked suitable for vegan on their menu is really good , the food is OK, a little greasy maybe. arrived arrived 30 min early but was no major on this occasion. pickle tray would be better with lime pickle , the garlic naan was superb , large soft and very thick. mushroom rice lovely too . good enough decent.

Doesn't matter what dish you get they sre all practically the same

Everything is extremely greasy, the rice tastes like microwave rice and the naan bread is soggy. We also waited for over an hour so are very disappointed.

We had a brilliant meal here recently. Taz and his team looked after us very well. Great menu with a wide range of different curries. Good vegetarian options. Big portions and large naans. Very reasonable prices. We reckon the best curry restaurant locally. Highly recommended.

Me and the mrs come here regularly as it’s our local curry spot. We feel blessed to have this so close to us. Taz is a top man and has never failed to bring a smile our faces. The food is exceptional and very very reasonably priced. I encourage everyone to try this place for some proper curry.

Paid a visit here on Saturday with friends after deliberating far too long about coming here. The food and service were nothing short of fantastic! I had the 'Chicken Desi', and I can honestly say that it was one of the best curries I've ever had. As you can see from the photo below, I wiped my curry pot clean. We'll definitely be going back. 10/10

Honestly the staff were very rude to me. Ordered my food at 7.50 and now it’s 9.30. I rang and asked what taking my food long and was told I should’ve ordered on the phone than Uber. The staff also said that the it’ll take a long time to get the food as they are far from us. We live less than 5 minutes away from the restaurants. Also they cancelled my order hours later after telling me the driver is coming with our food. I’ve repeatedly told them I have a family member with health issue and if they can check where the food is only for them to keep harassing me about order in store.

Took 2 hours to arrive and everything was freezing cold when it got here. Poppadoms were soggy too. Called the restaurant, and they weren't the slighest bit bothered. Very unapologetic. Won't ever eat here again!!

My partner and I first visited the Indus around 1985/6. The Attercliffe Liberal Club was at its' height as was the Greyhound Pub around the corner.Both now long gone. Indian restaurants were still in their infancy and not yet everyone's "cup of tea". Since then we have travelled the World living in Australia, Spain, Canada. We have eaten in the back streets of Cairo, the brasseries on Bondi Beach and the finest Michelin starred restaurants here, there and everywhere. We just simply want to say to the people of Sheffield we revisited the Indus tonight thinking we were going back down Memory Lane. Wow!! we could not believe Taz was still here. The whole experience of our visit - food, service, ambience and atmosphere cannot be described. Even the toilets, modern, clean and spotless? You simply have to come and see for yourselves and I would defy any discerning foodie not to go away blown away. Ahmed, Taz and the team we don't think you have any idea how good you all are and modest with it.Simply the best, better than all the rest. Enough said.

Been visiting this place since I was a kid, my parents took me and now I’m a parent and take my daughter! The service is always very good Taz is the loveliest person ever and I remember him from years back he never changes. The menu is plentiful and the portions are good, not fussed about having all the little bowls though bring back the oval plates with it served already for you. Tables aren’t big enough for all the empties. Love this place!! It also does takeaway and delivery within 3 miles.

Came on time, but the popadoms were soft, the chips were stale & I can’t believe I paid £9 for around 15 small pieces of plain chicken (ordered southern fried) and stale chips. Guttered because this has been my go to Indian takeaway for a while.

Tried a few meals here and is definitely restaurant quality and decent value for what you pay. Main downfall the chicken biryani has hardly any chicken in it mostly rice so not a good option there.

First time at this restaurant and wasn't disappointed.. first greeting when we walked in was very friendly.. staff were very attentive... made us feel very welcome .. a special mention for Taz alias George Michael who went above and beyond to make our evening very special.. our first time here but will now become regulars.. thx guys for a very nice meal and for being very friendly..

Went to this restaurant on 16/06/2024 after receiving a recommended from friend and we weren't disappointed from the moment we walked in the staff were amazing charming and funny especially George Michael food was delicious will deffinatly return very soon thanks for our lovely meal x

Currys were absolutely fire smashed it garlic rice lovely and chilli naan ok not bad 10 10 all round it came to 29.10 I gave £30 said to driver keep tip. Will be ordering again try and sort bottles of drinks out though for people. Thankyou

Guys neyt, had 2 poppadoms and tray, fish masala starter, chicken tikka masala, chips and a keema nann, food came out quickly, top food 😋. Waiter had top bants. Overall, Top restaurant, top food, top waiter.

The best curry house in Sheffield! The Badami & Naga are a firm favourites! We no longer live locally, but still make the trip to Indus. The service is amazing and Taz always makes us feel like family. Our little boy chose to spend his 7th Birthday at Indus and he said it’s his favourite birthday yet!
