Indus is unequivocally the best Indian we have been to. Food is outstanding, so fresh and the flavours are amazing. The service is second to non - Taz made our experience fantastic and was brilliant with the kids - definitely returning

The best curry house in Sheffield! The Badami & Naga are a firm favourites! We no longer live locally, but still make the trip to Indus. The service is amazing and Taz always makes us feel like family. Our little boy chose to spend his 7th Birthday at Indus and he said it’s his favourite birthday yet!

The curries here are outstanding, always hot, delicious and fresh. Taz is welcoming and helpful, he always makes us feel like valued guests.

Was told that I do not need to book and to turn up by a member of staff, rang before leaving the car and was told we’re fully booked with bookings, was told by them prior tnat you cannot book! It wasn’t a big party me my partner and our 6 month baby!! Joke!

We went there as a table of 3 for a birthday. Tasty food, friendly staff. Taz made sure we were all looked after. Our go to Indian always. Thanks.

What an amazing restaurant, we chose it for the location. The restaurant was very busy at 7pm, always a good sign, the food, service and ambiance were absolutely amazing (if a little to warm) Taz was our waiter and we had a lovely chat to him about the area. A gem of a restaurant, would truly recommend. Very reasonable priced as it is BYO drink. I don’t live in Sheffield, but will definitely go back at some point.

Not the best Indian food I've ever had. To be honest I'm not a fan of buffets.

What a great restaurant. My chicken was so soft and my husband said his lamb shops starter was a he best he’d had. Taz was so welcoming and friendly. 5* all round from us

Brilliant food and made to feel really welcome and not rushed .

Been coming here years. Best curry house (for food) easily in Sheffield and probably in Yorkshire! Chicken is never dry. Tikka Masala, Dansak and chicken desi are to die for,. All good ones to try first. If you want it more spiced or less oily they will make it for you.

It’s always great when you eat at a restaurant by chance and it turns out to be a really good place. My work takes me all over the country, and I generally have a curry if I’m staying somewhere overnight. Indus was just along the road from my hotel, and I’m so glad I chanced upon it. Modern, welcoming and well laid out, Indus also had some of the friendliest staff I’ve encountered. I really enjoy chatting to Taz, my waiter, who clearly wanted to make sure I had a good experience. The food was just as good. Extensive menu, dishes I’d not seen before, very reasonably priced and generous portions. Next time I’m in Sheffield, I’ll be heading back.

Never changes first class food first class service recommend

Taz and his team could not have been more welcoming. Tasty curries especially the Lamb Rogan Josh and chicken Tikka Karahi. Fish masala and sizzling mix platters are a must. Above all the atmosphere was warm. Everyone having fun. If you are near EIS then just pop down the road for an Indus Curry. Not the chains on the estates. We will definitely be back.

Called and requested to book a table, was told no need to book, to just arrive, only to be told that no seat available. The staff person didn't even apologise, will not visit ever. Thanks.

On 26th December 2023 we went for buffet at INDUS RESTAURANT which is Sheffield near IKEA store. Ambience is Good, Service is ok but the food taste is gone. Indians who eat spicy food don't prefer this restaurant. You will definitely feel frustrated while paying the bill. In the buffet we had Chicken tikka, chicken niblets, Naans, jeera rice, onion pakora, papad, chicken curry, Butter chicken, fish fry, Lamb curry, Chole curry and French fries and salads. Fish fry and French fries are good rest all or worse. Don't ask me about the curries they were too sweet instead of spicy bcoz of too many onions in curries. Kababs are half cooked. one will definitely don't like. Overall you will have a nightmare experience if you are from INDIA and who is looking for a spicy restaurant. FINALLY it's an ENGLISH PPL RESTAURANT not suitable for INDIANS. It's not fault of INDUS RESTRAUNT they are service ENGLISH people from long long time. Keeping expectations is our fault.

We've been here a few times and we absolutely love it. Great service by all the team but especially Mr George Michael 😁. He gave myself and mum in law a big hug and it's made her Christmas! 3 different dishes ordered and all beautiful. We went Saturday 23rd and it was packed but everything was cooked fresh and piping hot. This is a traditional restaurant that doesn't disappoint.

Absolutely shocking ordered a korma got prawn instead of chicken prawns hadnt even been de veined so basically still had poo in them daughter found some hard plastic in hers first time iv ordered from here but wont be ordering from them again had to give 1 star otherwise couldnt have posted this

Ordered on Uber Eats as they participate in a deal.. I'm only 10 min away.. bit ordered and they cancelled as they obviously were too busy or couldn't be arsed to drive to mine. Shame, as heard it is supposed to be nice .. but no second chances.

5 of us went for our friends birthday. Service was superb and the meals were so delicious. Can definitely recommend. Aka, George Michael was so friendly and helped to make the birthday girl feel special.

Excellent food and service...the Chicken Tikka Sizzler was to die for...next time i will order a madras sauce because i like my curry with a bit of a kick. The only downside was the Garlic Nan Bread was slightly under cooked and was a bit stodgy. But all in all a great restaraunt...

Not been for about a year, but went tonight off the cuff with a mate after being down town, my God, still amazing! The food is top class, a proper sheffield institution, and top it off Taz is still there which rounded off our night with some good banter which made me think why have I left it year! Been my favourite venue for mixed balti and kingfisher for 40 years! No drinks licence now so you have to provide your own cobra/kingfisher. Keeps the bill down a bit, but is and always has been exceptional value for money. Best food you can get in Sheffield Indian restaurants for me, and at much lower prices.

We had a birthday family meal on Saturday 8th April. I have to say every meal was absolutely gorgeous. Fantastic service from "George Michael" and the team. I have to say, this was the best meal I've had in a very long time. Book a table, you won't regret it!

Great place for food and friendly staff.

Been going for over 33yrs on and off. Booked for the Tuesday buffet. Arrived to a nearly full house, no onion salad brought but noticed others were getting it. Only just remembered to bring a measly pickle tray. No lamb curry said 3 times it was coming took 45 minutes to arrive and half a container. Nan bread was cutting into quarters and put in a warmer, they were rubbery. Not all the fish starters were fully cooked. All you could hear was screaming kids. For the first time in all these years to have gone down hill to that degree. Only 2 staff serving and food really not up to standard, i will not be wasting my money and going back. Requested the bill again 3 times over a 30 minute period. Ended up getting up going to the till for it. Very sad about my decision but not worth it.

Everything about Indus is fantastic! From the warm welcome from Taz and the team to the wonderful authentic food. Everything we have had has been excellent and the quality of the meat is also fantastic. The prices are reasonable and they generously welcome you to take your own wine with no corkage charge. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Buffet night on a Tuesday , was very popular and most seats booked already. A good quantity and variety of starters with plenty of fish and chicken and vegetarian options. A simple main menu , the meat curry was fabulous and I am generally not much of a red meat eater. On the whole the experience including the service was 5/5 🌟

Ok, been visiting this restaurant for nearly 30 years, for in house meals and takeaways. the food has been really good in the past but has steadily been in decline. I went to collect a takeaway earlier this week and I was early, went to the loo and a young asian lad who worked there was just finishing his business never washed his hands on exit, i complained to the staff at the bar. We won't order from there again! use to love the place!

We set out to go to a favourite Indian, but we couldn't get in. One of our group suggested the Indus in Attercliffe. I'm so glad we did, the food was amazing, really tasty and fresh, we all ordered different and there was none of that generic curry going on here. Each dish was so different, mine was delicious and we all said the same about our food. The staff were friendly and quite funny, we had a great time. It was starting to get busy when we left, no wonder, this little gem is definitely a place we'll be going back to and recommending.

Rang this restaurant at 10 to ask if they were still serving, they said yes last order from menu is in 30 mins. We got there in time with 10 minutes to spare, we sat down got a big story about how the chefs from Bradford n that he’s basically wanting to go home and can do so once he’s cooked our food, at that point I wanted to leave but my partner said he was hungry and wanted to just order something. Ordered our mains, wasn’t offered a pickle tray which is the first time that’s happened at an Indian. After getting our meal placed on table we was told the how much the bill was (what is going on!!!) so in the middle of eating my partner asked if he wanted him to pay now, so he brought the bank card machine over, about 5 minutes later, some of the lights got turned off around us and the music was switched off. I said to my partner right I want to walk out right now, so we did and left more than 80% of the food. I rang a few places that night and was told politely they are closing, I wish they told me the same instead of making us feel like that just to have our money….disgusting.

This is by far the best curry house in Sheffield. Every dish is prepared exactly as described and the taste subtle and exquisite. Add to that the owner and staff who treat you more as friends than customers and you are in for a treat. 5 stars doesn't seem enough.

I ordered from Indus last night (04/12/21) via uber eats for delivery, only to be told 5 minutes later my order had been cancelled by the restaurant. I rang them up to ask why and was told that the delivery was too far. Baring in mind i have ordered from here numerous times to the exact same delivery address i find this very hard to believe and if it was too far, they wouldn’t show up on my uber eats as an available restaurant. They clearly just couldn’t be bothered to travel which is extremely unprofessional and rude - that is your job. Safe to say i’ll not be ordering from here again which is a shame because i’ve always found their customer service great until this occasion.

Been for first time best indian we've had for a long time. Food fabulous and staff great well presented and very polite. Would definitely recommend to visit lovely place and staff.

Being a bradford lad i know a good curry.the indus is a quality place and the staff are great.recommend this great little place in sheffield.

We Visited with our daughter and grandson. We are regulars here but obviously not been for a long time. All 4 meals was spot on starters - fish masala, mixed starter and bajis. Mains special balti, chicken tikka masala, chicken tikka jalfrzi ( with my own scotch bonnet chef knows i like it extra hot) lemon rice ( on request) grandson played it safe with an omelet and chips All extremely good as the empty plates showed. Just note the restaurant is not selling alcohol at the moment not sure why or for how long. Will be back soon
