Always a great experience at the Mohul. The food is superb and the staff are great. Well priced and bring your own booze (the Tunnel Tap next door does a great carry out of needed) so you don't get spanked for beer prices!! Hopefully see you again soon 👍 Si and Sara

From start to finish we were treated like VIP guests. The staff could not do enough to accomodate us. The service was efficient and the food delicious. The spinach barghi was excellent. My experience was so good that I went again two days later. The staff are an excellent asset to this restaurant and to the hospitality industry in which they work.

Just the best I go every Saturday for food 50% takeout for collection and other 50% for dine in its absolutely wonderful they've never let me down and deliveries are always perfect sometimes I order for delivery and the food is perfect does its never cold and delivery driver is very well mannered

Have been going to the Mohul for years. Ash and the Team are fantastic including smiley Sammy. The food is amazing and every time I go I'm always made to feel welcome. My children now call Ash their uncle and my whole family will be there for their Birthdays. Thanks for their hard work and friendship

got a takeaway was so disappointed very expensive and just 4 king prawns which were like bullets tikka masala sauce watery and uninviting will not bother again

Delicious food and brilliant service! I called late evening last night and Miah delivered the tastiest chicken tikka saag, Bombay potatoes, chicken on the bone and poppadoms with pickles - all this within 20 minutes. Also ate there NYE and another fabulous meal. Thank you for serving such amazing food and being so accommodating. Wishing you all a very Happy 2024.

Excellent service. Ordered a takeaway on New years eve expecting a delay with it been New years eve but it arrived bang on time. The meal was good value for money and it was very tasty. Our second order this week and both meals arrived on time and were tasty.Will deffinately be ordering again.

Love this curry house but tonight we have been fobbed off three times. Ordered at 17:30. Told it would be with us in the hour. Rang back at 18:45 to be told it had been sent out. Rang back at 19:30 to ask if it was coming to be told it was booked to be delivered at 20:00. We had not asked for this and been told it. Waited two and a half hours for a food and no sign yet.

Really disappointed as we used to use the Mohul a lot being a resident of Totley for many years. We’ve not bothered for a while having had an average meal but thought we’d give it another go. My wife had a prawn bhuna which was very bland and the sauce had no substance whatsoever. I had a lamb Madras; the plus point was the lamb was very tender but the sauce was just hot with no flavour. I’m not sure if we just hit a bad night but I don’t think we’ll bother again. Such a shame as this place used to be one of the best around.

Excellent food , a proper hot madras and tandoori chicken as it should be. Not expensive but even if it was it’s worth it.

I like Mohul, the food definitely isnt haute cuisine but it is good. The staff are extremely attentive, but it always seems a bit soulless.

We really enjoyed the experience here. Having being before, we knew what to expect - they don't try to be too fancy, it is just proper straightforward Indian cuisine cooked very well. The menu is extensive so if you like trying different dishes each time, there's plenty of choice. I went for the Jhal Puri Chicken which was very tasty and full of armoatic spices. My child described the Korma as the best they've ever had! The staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive which is a big part of the experience.

Had a great evening here. Lovely food & service, and some great drinks from the Tunnel Tap a few doors up.

Love this restaurant. We have been here many times for both dine in and take away. Every time has provided us with fantastic food and service.

This was hands down the worst takeaway I have ever had, tough, rock hard prawns (all four of them!) For a 12.95 'king prawn curry', which included cold egg fried rice and watery sauce it swam about in. Disgusting, and took over an hour and a half to arrive. Never again.

Went twice over Xmas. Love this place. The food and service were spot on. Highly recommend. Note: No alcohol. So go to the Tunnel Tap beforehand and bring a beer down.

Very friendly and helpful service when ordering. They were able to fully appreciate and accommodate for gluten free requirements and need for care against cross contamination. Special thanks to Ash for his attention to detail.

Visited the Mohul tonight with two friends. We had poppadoms and chutney etc . Beautiful. The three starters were enjoyed by all of us and the main courses were exquisite. Nicely decorated and very friendly service. I would highly recommend.

Takeaway poor. Order KP Buna. Sides were ok, but main was tasteless . Had a spicy popadom , but no salad bag with it. Afraid the takeaways are a lottery and no better than a 50% hit rate

Was only in town for night. We needed a restaurant near to our hotel that was relatively cheap. The best Indian cuisine we’ve ever had. Every dish was perfection. We didn’t want it to end. The naan bread was something else! Would come to Totley again just for the Muhol. Service was impeccable also. Thank you very much!

Took three hungry friends here after being messed about by a local pub who couldn't decide if they wanted to serve food or not. We all had delicious curries instead, served by really warm friendly staff.

Consistently lovely food. The ‘special recommendations’ on the menu, like anari jhinga and sylheti shatkora, are must-try dishes. It’s easy to order online, reliable delivery estimates, friendly deliverers.

Our first visit for a year for a Father’s Day meal,and not disappointed,really fresh and tasty bhajee starters. To follow vegetarian methi,and akbori chicken tikka,spinach ,ginger garlic chillies ,pilaf rice,plain Nan.very tasty and good portions. No rush Very friendly staff ,Mia giving us a friendly greeting as allways,a really enjoyable night,and the phone never stopped for takeaway and a steady stream of delivery’s going out we’ll be back. Had a fantastic experience at the Mohul tonight from the attentive and caring staff such as mia who drove me to get a bottle of wine for my meal when I didnt realise it was only bring your own. Staff were very friendly professional and kind throughout and the food was excellent as always. Highly recommend!!!! Xxxx

Been ordering from here since it opened, even after moving 20 mins away. Good food, not as good as it used to be, and the lack of a couple of free popadoms is a shame.

First Class restaurant with first class service! Great flavours with tender chicken, going to make this a regular place to visit.

Polite and friendly service but food could be hotter for a take away. Not hotter from chilli's etc.

Had a missing item from our order yet again, I note several others have had this issue too. When we asked that they deliver the part of the meal that we paid for and they failed to deliver, they argued with us and when eventually delivered, it was rudely thrust at us without a word. The delivery charge and food prices are too high to accept this behaviour so we will not order here again unfortunately.

Ordered via just eat as according to the website it was open. Order taken and confirmed. However, when I wentvto pick up my ticket was still on the reception desk. I was advised that they didn't open until later. After waiting 20 mins, I got home and was really dissapointed with both curries. They just didn't taste of anything, like wet cardboard. I tried to add some of my own spices but it was a waste of time. Won't be going back. Won't be recommending.

Excellent food, good service and great ambiance

Not very good. A group of 6 of went, they tried charging us £60 extra on the bill 😳 wasnt very happy with that at all, maths mustn't have been his strong point. All the curries was bland and lacked any sort of spice. Naan bread was best part of the whole experience of trying this particular restaurant. Wont be goin back.

Fabulous Indian restaurant Great food with excellent service

Excellent food as always. If you fancy something better than a standard Indian then go here. The cocktails are good too, although the Sheffield branch is slightly better all round.

We had a takeaway and although we didn’t get the onion we’d ordered we got extra mango so no problem. Unfortunately both curries had no flavour of curry, the lamb balti was tasteless and the chicken sag also! Such a shame we have never had such bland curries from the Mohul. I even put extra chilli flakes on - I think the chef ran out of spices and chilli tonight!!! Very disappointing.

What a great restaurant the Mohul is. Just visited and was compelled to write a positive review. Really tasty, freshly cooked food and lovely surroundings. Highlight recommended for a visit and the takeaways are great too.

This restaurant is the best we have ever been to!The food and service are excellent!Been going for many years and moved to mosborough recently with a curry house at the bottom of our road but still go here every Friday for a take away as worth the drive.

Hurrah, The Mohul is back. Delicious food, excellant customer service, going the extra mile (literally) to source our favourite wine. New decor, no fish tank, all looks lovely n fresh.

Meat was good, but curry lacked flavour, lack of heat. Tikka masala was far too sweet. Bhajis were great. Takeaway arrived without its poppadums.

At last a new interior,new menu,same staff,and very tasty food at reasonable prices. 3 tables at 6.30 Sunday night it still needs the word to get out that they are open again because it is nice to see the place busy again,the interior is fresh modern clean,and the staff immaculate white shirts and black waistcoats,and a smile that says thank you nice to see you again, so come on every one spread the word lots been a a long hard time for everyone,so treat yourself to a very welcome night out with fiends and let’s get it back to the old times . Phoned to see if we could get a table they advised they will not open until they could guarantee the safety of their staff and loyal customers as the majority of their customers are apparently elderly and have been going there for over 30 years....

Consistently good food and reliable delivery. Found it during the first week of lockdown and have ordered weekly since. There are some really interesting dishes on the menu- I'm slowly working my way through the ones I'm not familiar with. They've all been great. Online ordering is really simple and delivery is around the time estimated.

Booked for New Year’s Eve , arrived to find a large number of people who had been waiting for over an Hour and a Half for their booked table ( some people just left , tired of waiting so long) we were finally seated around 8:45 ( we had booked for 7:30!!!) On the plus side, the food was good!!!

I visited on New Years Eve with my Wife, and this place was absolutely packed out. people were waiting outside to get in. I booked on line, but unfortunately the Restaurant were unaware of my booking, I find that odd, but they still accommodated us....

Some of the best Indian I have had in years. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was brilliant. I wasn’t able to finish my food as you really got a lot for your money. The staff happily put it in containers for me to take home with me. Will definitely be back.

Después del cierre de Delhi Junction en la estación de tren de Dore, comencé a visitar a Mohul como mi 'ir' al restaurante indio, supongo que esto fue hace unos 12-15 años. La comida y el servicio fueron fantásticos en todo momento.Solo he estado una vez desde que se vendió al nuevo propietario, y espero que la comida y el servicio estén en una curva ascendente, ya que ambos no están cerca de lo que se ofreció anteriormente.Creo que un plato seco es a menudo una buena indicación de la calidad, ya que no se puede ocultar en la salsa. Por ejemplo, el entrante de pollo tikka era muy básico: solo pechuga de pollo espolvoreada con un poco de polvo de tandoori. Mi familia ha estado yendo al Mohul durante años, la comida y el servicio siempre han sido excelentes, sin embargo, desde que la nueva propiedad se hizo cargo, siento que las cosas no son lo mismo. Anoche, después de nuestra comida, sobró algo y cortésmente pregunté si podíamos llevarlo a casa. Recibí una respuesta muy cortante y grosera diciéndome que "estamos muy ocupados, señora". Decidí ir tras el caballero y explicarle que la razón por la que pregunté fue porque la comida es excelente y también se desperdicia y eso fue un cumplido. No recibí respuesta, así que me fui sintiéndome humillada. Muy triste de verdad.

called in after a concert (after 9.00 pm) and had an amazing meal.The staff were really friendly and the food excellent. I had read other peoples reviews and have to say the onion bhaji more than lived up to expectation. I also had Lamb tikka saag which was really well cooked and tasted great but the best bit was the garlic naan. I've never had one like it, amazing!!! I will certainly be going again.

Enjoyed the food, some different items on the menu. Service was efficient. Given a corner table by the window which felt cramped and cold next to the window.

We love this place so much. I am a picky eater and even more picky about Indian food. We have been about 10 times, normally bringing other people and so far everyone has been really happy. Just one friend doesn't like that they don't do cheesy garlic nan. Staff are lovely and very welcoming. Place is a little cramped but that is because we keep bringing out baby and good curry is worth it. Thanks for so many lovely evenings.

Disfrutamos del menú de Bangladesh con platos principales de Dahl. Buen cambio de los habituales chefs de Pakistán. Gran bandeja de encurtidos y servicio. La cebolla bhajis enorme. Algunos clientes regulares en el principio, pero se sintieron atendidos y buen valor.

Tuvimos una buena comida fue un poco apresurada para limpiar popadoms cuando no estaba terminada, la comida estaba caliente y sabrosa pero cuando fuimos a pagar con tarjeta, el cajero anunció que está poniendo propina en la factura, muy vergonzoso preguntar cuando estás con amigos si Por lo general, dejamos la propina en efectivo, pero no siempre deben pensar que debería dejar una propina. Nunca me han preguntado esto antes aquí. y creo que el personal podría verse un poco más interesado en servir la comida un poco más fuerte.
