We visit Bridgnorth two or three times a year and we always make sure we stop here for the fabulous breakfasts .. and also the cobs! We absolutely love the new addition of the seating area overlooking the river, we wanted to sit there all day. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks Ridley’s!

Popped in whilst passing. Beautiful sunny day … sat on the terrace overlooking the river. Chose 2 small plates and a small dish of fries. Gorgeous food ! Exceeded expectations ! Service with a smile …. Great experience … highly recommended …. Oooh ! Dog friendly too 😊

Came in for food, great prices and the food was amazing. Cater for vegetarians and vegans. Service was great, staff extremely friendly and catered for your all your needs. Little gem of a place and will definitely visit again. 🤗🥰

Wow, at last, a fab breakfast in Bridgnorth! I’ve just visited Ridley’s on the River this morning, my partner and I enjoyed a really great breakfast, with a beautiful view overlooking the River Severn. The standard of produce was really high and well cooked! Complements to chef and the staff, who were attentive and friendly. A great service all round and thoroughly recommended, if visiting or living in the area. Thank you and well done Ridley’s, we will definitely be returning.

What a wonderful find. Just dropped in for a quiet drink but the food looked and smelled delicious. Loved the menu and had a lovely hour or so relaxing with great service. Looking forward to our next visit to Bridgenorth

We called in for breakfast for both mornings of our weekend away.. weve been before but it was the first time with the new owners.. service exceptional, atmosphere exceptional. Breakfast was exceptional. Couldnt fault a thing

What an absolute gem of a place! The staff are as amazing as the food! Can’t believe how reasonable the prices are! We were made to feel so welcome! I honestly can’t recommend this place enough! Thank you all for an excellent lunch! Will definitely be back

Used the toilet before ordering, started to walk to a seat outside the front- and the person who i presume is the owner shouts ‘You’re welcome’ in a rude manner at me and my partner. Instead of sitting down we went to a lovely pub down the road, i recommend the Boatyard. Safe to say i won’t be coming back, no need for the attitude.

Came in here today for some lunch and a drink. lovely friendly service, felt so welcome! The food we had was amazing. My son had a ham cob and it was much bigger than expected. I would definitely recommend it! We had cod bites and burgers and they were also amazing. If you are in Bridgenorth, this is the place to go!!

Fantastic Sunday lunch,amazing staff,very friendly welcoming pub,we were all made to feel welcome and a fuss was made of our 2 Yr old great granddaughter

The atmosphere was awful. The one lady at the bar seemed very abrupt and rude. Baring in mind I have never been here before so I wouldn’t know if we can order at the table or at the bar. The lady then rudely replied saying “it’s not waiter service” even though I was very polite. I also asked if they had a drinks menu to which she rudely replied “no we do not”. She was very unhelpful, made me feel uncomfortable. Whilst we were waiting to talk to her she was still talking to the other colleague which AGAIN very unprofessional. I felt so uncomfortable and the whole vibe there was just awful. I should read reviews next time

Me and my friends went to Ridley’s. And as me and my friend where leaving an older male grabbed our shoulders and said ‘you two aren’t leaving’ so naturally we tried to shove him away and tried to walk outside. This in itself was very out of line. The owner then came over to us and attempted to ‘justify’ it by saying ‘they’re just old drunk men’ and to ‘let it go’ as if it was our faults. Then proceeded to get in my male friends faces when they tried to explain to him how wrong what he said was. Yet again they where met with the same so called ‘justification’. I will never be going back here, this is vile and disgusting behaviour. Definitely not a nice place to be.

My friends and I were in Ridley’s and a few old men tried to stop our female friends from leaving by holding them in place by the shoulders. The bouncer and the owner bared us and told us it’s “just drunk old men” and they “didn’t mean it”. The owner himself tried to fight me. Don’t let your friends in here, it’s a toxic and horrible environment.

Visited with a group of friends on a Friday night, and have been here many times before. I got kicked out for popping a single balloon and “smiling too much”. I have rarely, if ever been spoken too/ sworn at as badly as the landlady did in here this night especially coming from someone more than double you’re age. Completely unnecessary and really quite nasty. Also have yet to be refunded for a breakfast that only half of got delivered. No problem with the fact they didn’t have what I ordered but just that no attempt was made to refund me.

Beautiful day to sit outside Ridley’s with a bacon sandwich and my lovely family for an early Mother’s Day treat. Service was excellent too thanks to Emma x

Visited here with friends for lunch on the off chance they had a table for lunch, staff were immediately very welcoming , accommodated 6 of us and food was delicious! Plenty of seating with some riverside seating too. Will certainly visit again when visiting Bridgnorth.

Website says open for food times clearly. Business is not serving food during the times published. So woman says we are serving food tomorrow.. Tomorrow comes, we rang them and sure enough she says “oh… not today it will be tomorrow now…” Knackered up our plans, simply update your website or put food when we feel like it check first…. Hopeless business management for somewhere that seems to have received good food reviews and we wanted to try out. Though not used at the time, to pre empt the response Covid is no excuse updating a website opening times it takes 20 seconds if you aren’t opening to update your times… customers travelling from afar use the web to plan their trip. Or even put a statement saying our website times for food are subject to change call to check if we are serving food… Poor :(

Came here for breakfast with my friend and was absolutely thrilled, excellent service by all staff, amazing food and a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend highly to anyone.

after waiting for 5 mins plus for someone to answer the bell for some menus and drinks.. it took a further 10 mins before someone came out....and served the table next to us (who had arrived after us) 5 mins later we finally received a menu. 15 mins later we were still waiting to even order drinks let alone our food....... after a further 5 mins we upped and left, upon passing the front of the pub we noticed that they weren't even busy! extremely poor non existent service

Wow! What can I say, faultless from start to end. The pie was amazing (not my usual choice of pie) pastry was perfect, filling was perfect and the mustard mash was out of this world and then theres the gravy, I'd happily sit at the bar (when we are allowed) and drink pint after pint of that gravy! 11 out of 10 for me, absolutely smashing!

Came here without a reservation, in search of a good freshly cooked breakfast on the strength of other TA reviews for lunches and dinners. Was made welcome and well looked after.The £5 basic breakfast served to my fellow diners was generous enough, but the £10 option is massive. Would highly recommend.

We always eat at Bamboo when in Bridgnorth, great to see it open again and busy. We had a quuck lunch, I had burger, which came with fries,salad, onion rings, it was a massive portion and very delicious, other half had the steak and stilton pie with cheesy mash and veg, lets just say the plate was cleared. looking forward to the live music nights again. Great place, great staff, great food.

Have been here many times before with friends the last couple of times and my first visit on my own and it never disappoints, the pie and mash are delicious.Had a lasagne, garlic bread and side salad with Americano coffee today, very tasty and very filling.Looking forward to coming here again soon.

whilst going for a late afternoon drink , didnt look to busy from outside. upon entering....staff asking if we were here for food.....to which we were not.... ordered drinks . double gin/lemonade + double rum. nearly £14. paid in shock.......these are night club prices.this killing any further intention of staying here

An excellent treat after the steam train experience. We decided on Bamboo wine bar because of it being located near the river. The hands on attention to detail, great background music an real care made it worth the stop. The food was great best steak and ale pie ever according to my partner. Warm ambience lovely staff, great food!

We read on the reviews here that the food was great so we decided to go today for breakfast. Only parking nearby was for 40 minutes so we hoped we’d be served quickly.

Our party of 8 adults and 2 children thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Bamboo on Saturday. The staff were friendly, service very good and the food really good! Each meal was delicious and the children were able to have a small adults instead of the childrens' menu. We will certainly return.

I personally had 1 of the large steak and ale pies cooked by ANITA. This was was I can only describe as perfection. A large meal fit for a hungry sole like me and the pie itself full of very slender chunks of steak I would highly recommend this

Dropped in for lunch as we had missed the bus and had a couple of hours to kill. Had the burger which was excellent, a lot of chips which were also excellent and the small pot of coleslaw was possibly the best I have ever tasted. Very good value for money, we will definitely be coming back.

The owner gave us a very warm greeting so first impressions very good. we were shown to a table upstairs which looked out onto the River Severn and the people and traffic crossing the bridge. The tables appeared to be mounted on scaffolding pipes, odd but it works. My better half and I opted for pies as we had heard they were good. That reputation was fully deserved. The owner showed real concern that we should enjoy ourselves which we certainly did. I could find no fault here so I will certainly be returning, probably quite frequently. Huge thank you to everyone there. If you like well cooked and tasty English food, this is the place for you.

Fantastic food the gentlemen who served us on both of our visits was pleasant efficient and could not do any more great place really deserves 6 stars.

Spent five days walking along the River severn and had the good luck in picking this place for my lunch - Great Steak & Kidney Pie plus chips & peas - big portion too! Went mid-late evening for a couple of drinks - Guy playing guitar/singing - what a great atmosphere. made my lunch time and evening enjoyable

As a long distance walker, I dropped in for breakfast. Tom gave me a huge English breakfast. And be offered to fill my water bottle and charge my mobile. For the dog walkers sitting opposite, he gave a dish of water to the dog and offered a dog biscuit. I was impressed that he went beyond normal good service.

I just wanted a light lunch, so chose an omelette. The service was second to none. The omelette was enormous accompanied by salad and coleslaw. I'm afraid I couldn't do it justice. I can't praise the waiter enough. Will definitely be making a return visit when I'm next in the area.

This place is situated in low town, right overlooking the river & the back yard literally goes as close as you can get to the river itself. We went there initial for the food for a party celebration. Booking was no problem.

A cracking breakfast after a night out in Bridgnorth. The Captains full English is certainly a plateful for the heartier appetite, my wife having a Sausage and Egg Sandwich with Tom. Dip which confused the server A simple breakfast menu with all the bases covered. Will certainly be back

Nice cosy bar, sell quite a few different gins. No noisy music so can have a good chat aswell. Good for girls night out or with your other half.

Came for lunch I opted for bbq chicken wrap and sweet potato fries my other half ordered steak and kidney pie onion mash mushy peas and gravy. The food was bought out with no sweet potato fries and after 5 more mins asked and was told I forgot not got them do u want me to do u some chips which I did not, pie was over cooked and so was chicken in some places and in others didn’t feel warm i won’t be returning

Had the best Gluten Free Lamb and Mint pie since diagnosis. Gluten Free Lager on tap was the icing on the cake and service was excellent.

We sat by the window and enjoyed a great sausage and mash with peas and REAL onion gravy. The service was also excellent.

We popped into the Bamboo Wine Bar for lunch on a recent trip to Bridgnorth. The food was lovely, cooked fresh and delivered piping hot which makes all the difference. Staff were welcoming and friendly, prices were good and it's a lovely location. The only negative is that on one of the hottest days of the year, they still had the radiators on full, making it very uncomfortable to sit by the window.

What a fantastic little place this is! We walked past on the evening before and it was lively and buzzing. So we decided to try the breakfast this morning and what a treat.

Visited Bridgnorth again this weekend and had to pay the Bamboo another visit. We had a lovely warm welcome from staff and a delicious lunch of pie and mash/chips with peas all round. Thank you again to all and keep up the good work.

I was in there earlier on this afternoon as part of a walking group. Service was friendly, place itself was warm and welcoming. And the hot chocolate I had was unreal! Well recommended :-)

Having visited this restaurant before with local friends and been impressed, we decided to return again. However, this visit was not as good! Whether it was suffering from the “night before” but the tables were in need of cleaning and there was a well used look to the seating. The staff were excellent and friendly, the food good and filling and value for money! The restaurant is in need of urgent refurbishment if it is to compete with the many other establishments in Bridgnorth.

Had our work Christmas party in Bamboo Wine Bar last night, the food was excellent, the service was friendly and welcoming. I would highley recommend Bamboo as a night out for friends and family.

We were in Bridgnorth for a day out and unsure of where to go, as neither me and my boyfriend had eaten anywhere there before. We finally decided on this place as it had good reviews, and it was part of a 2 for 1 deal on Meerkat Meals, so we thought we might as well save money if we weren't sure were to go. Looking at the place from the outside, it doesn't look much, but looks are deceiving. The food was really delicious, even without the Meerkat Meals deal, it's great value for a Sunday lunch. I think the normal price for one person was like just under a tenner for carvery with meat or pie slice and all you can eat veg. We went for having the pie options instead of a carvery meat. There was a large selection of different pie slices, all sounded great. I went for the steak and stilton option and my boyfriend went for steak and chilli. Both were delicious. The vegetables and mash they had on were also lovely and also well cooked. Although we were stuffed after the mains, we had desert too, as we felt like we were cheating the establishment a bit by only paying £10 for two meals. The deserts were nice, but the mains were the best, but maybe it's because we really couldn't Tthe service was friendly and helpful.

This is hands down my favourite place in bridgenorth... Iv been in alone and with my husband... it’s like home from home... with a lovely chilled atmosphere great food and drinks... and no matter when you go in you are greeted by friendly staff... I love the fact that dogs are welcome to.... this place is definitely worth a visit

Went out on a pub crawl round Bridgnorth and ended up in this little gem. Wish we had turned up earlier. There was live music when we arrived and it was great, good choice of drinks too, we didn’t eat as this wasn’t the purpose of our outing. It finished our night off great though. Will definitely return!

Visited here in Feb & August 2018, really enjoyed it both times. The service and atmosphere was really nice and recommend it.

A great host Jason, very hospitable and Bamboo serves good well kept drink, you may know by my other reviews I love Peroni. So this is a bonus. Can't comment on the food as I'm not a Pie fan but I'm sure they do other items on menu.

I had my 40th celebrations with friends and family at Bamboo on a Friday night. All the staff were amazing very attentive and friendly. We had a huge buffet upstairs then danced the night away into the early hours with DJ Jay who was happy to put on my many song requests!!Big thumbs up from me

We visited the Bamboo on a recommendation from our son, who joined us for lunch. What a treat. The food was excellent. Great choice and all freshly prepared and brought to the table piping hot. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and very pleasant. Our server Tom and all the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful and we found most welcoming not over attentive. Overall a great experience in a lovely environment. W3 will certainly visit again.

I stopped here in August, on a rainy day. The place is cozy and the staff very nice and friendly. I had a great hot chocolate and chatted about an hour with the lady at the bar who is super nice.

An amazing selection of great pies. Huge range of filling, some traditional and some more off piste, all wrapped in wonderful pastry.

Booked for 7.30 to take a kiwi friend for proper British pie and mash (pies are NZ national dish). Had lovely service from Edward,lovely bottle champagne from Tanners and pie and mash very tasty.......BUT at 8.30 when we asked for dessert menu told chef gone home and we couldn't have one. Ok.....then why advertise evening menu....sorry Bamboo, we spent £100 but we won't be doing it again

Absolutely lovely little bar, right on the end of the bridge, it's a converted Grain shop, it has a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

Popped in for lunch on a hot day in Bridgnorth. Managed to get a seat outside with views of the river which was nice. We ordered a pie each, small for my wife and regular for me and a sausage and chips for the lad. Pies were exceptional, really good, served with a huge portion of mash which was available in 5 types which was nice, fresh peas and a massive gravy boat. Couldn't fault the meals, the pie was packed with filling and the pastry was just right, the mash was smooth and even the lads sausage and chips was nice. Total price with a pint and a half and a coke was £28 which seems a bargain to me. Will be back.

First of all, I LOVE Bamboo Wine Bar! In my opinion, it is the coolest bar in the town. Perfectly situated right next to the bridge over the river.

Having had and enjoyed lunch earlier in the week, we returned for dinner. Lovely table upstairs by a window (very hot evening). Waiter was very helpful and attentive. We had 1 small and 1 standard Pie Dinner. Pies were really delicious and lots of mash and veg. Unfortunately too full to have a dessert. Staff really pleasant and friendly. Will return next time we're in Bridgenorth.

Enjoyed a meal with my friend from booking the table every one was so polite and helpful , on arrival we were shown to our seats offered drinks and left with menus decided to go for the pie I had steak and silton with mustard mash absolutely beautiful tasty and very filling you are given a choice of what size small med or captains small we were advised that's a child's portion so opted for the medium which was plenty for me my friend had broccoli and silton with spring onion mash and veg which she said was lovely and did struggle to eat it all the staff that waited on our table was intentive but not in your face we did have dessert a the chef had go home because they had been working all day in a blistering heat and robe they did us a favour as we didn't need a sweet and would only be having one for the sake if it . Good value for money and good wholesome food well worth a visit if you like pies

Bamboo, well all I can say is, amazing place if you can get it, the bouncers are completely unjustified unless your a female. They take about equality? Well obviously bouncers don’t care much for the rules, they’re not interested in letting in genuine guys.

Together with my wife we were in Bridgnorth early Sat evening. Looking for some refreshment. Entered premises and were met by a friendly member of staff.

We were a group of 11 adults & 3 children. Due to it being busy at lunchtime we did not get a single table but had adjacent tables. Despite this the service was great and we felt very welcomed.

Had another brilliant night in the Bamboo. Lunch earlier in the day, delicious food served by very friendly and attentive staff while watching the Rugby and then back for the evening dancing the night away to Ben who sang, played the Saxophone and guitar, but not all at the same time. Brilliant time, thanks guys!

Went here for the firs time last month for a birthday party and really enjoyed it.Met lots of people I hadn't seen for a long time who weren't even there for the party so thoroughly enjoyed myself. Would recommend to anyone.

Recently stayed in in Bridgnorth and found this excellent place for a spot of lunch. The spring onion mash was to die for! One of my favourite meals in a long time.

We called in for lunch breaking up a journey, and combining with a trip on the cliff railway which is just next to the cafe/wine bar.

We were glad we stopped off here for lunch whilst spending a lovely sunny day in Bridgnorth. We were initially attracted by the outside area with a view over the river but on entering found a lovely cosy interior too with very smiley friendly staff.

Visited for lunch New Year’s Eve - service excellent! The steak and ale pie with mash and chips was fantastic!! Great prices and great views upstairs across Bridgenorth - will definitely be visiting again!

I have been here twice now, both being around the christmas period. I have to say the say the food is absolutely brilliant. The staff are amazing and very welcoming. We did not have to wait long for the Pie and Chips. I would definately recommend. I will be visiting again when im working in the area.

What a great eve spent at the Bamboo Wine Bar last night. Had a family celebration meal there for 25 of us and I would just like to thank Paula and all the staff involved in making my party a night to remember, in particular I would like to thank Tom for his excellent customer service, nothing was too much trouble. We recently went out with a group of friends for a few drinks and were appalled by the standard of the bar staff, impatient, rude and obnoxious. Always enjoyed going to the bar but our recent experience has completely put us off. Definitely won't be returning!!!

Doesn't appear to look or be over inviting from the outside, however - Have visited a couple of times for Sunday lunch then changed our minds when we got there and opted for their pies and mash.. Can only say the food was fantastic.Range of about 10 different pies to suit everyone (even Veggies!) and several different all very tasty sorts of mash, fresh veg and plenty of good gravy. Staff really friendly and accommodating and with a good sense of humour and looked after us and our dog royally.

Visited bamboo for the first time and we were really impressed with the place. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was superb. The pie and mash was very tasty indeed. Highly recommended

We had evening meal on Friday here. I had the captains Steak and Ale pie which was fantastic, the beat just melted in your mouth. My girlfriend had the steak and again she said tasted really good. Great service also and very good price. Large portions!

Called in for lunch and enjoyed some tasty brie & bacon baguettes with side salad. So good to have the dressing served on the side without having to ask or even worse it being slopped all over the salad.

Well, this was a find. I stumbled in, absolutely shattered after 7 hours of driving, officially after food had stopped being served. Jason checked with the chef and agreed to take the order. Spoilt for choice on the gin, even had my favourite. Dinner was very good, with generous portions. This is a relaxing, friendly place, where I felt very at home. Then the man produced cake. With ice cream. Made my night. And the bill was pretty reasonable as well.I promised a 5 star review and here it is.

Visited Bamboo for a evening meal on 11/09/2017.I ordered the Steak and ale pie, the large.Which is most certainly LARGE a very generous portion for the price.The member of staff Jason was very pleasant, even with all the tables in the upstairs area taken he offered a down stairs seat which was by the window, i do like a good spot of people watching :)Will most certainly be visiting BamBoo again.

Cycling through and stopped for tea and toast. Essentially appears to be a pub that does food. Tea slob frills and toast Ok. Good price. Slightly dated and worn. Not very busy in the morning.

Pleasant place to visit gorgeous coffee wonderful selection of gin but a little on the pricey side. Cafe during the day but at night take on a different role with live music and dancing. Can get very lively.

Lovely cooked breakfast. We sat in the window upstairs and met friends and had a good catch up with no feeling of being rushed. Staff attentive and friendly. Only slight moan is that the waiting staff were having a great gossip and laugh downstairs and as the restaurant wasn't busy we could hear all of this upstairs.

Called in for a meal last Friday night at 18:30 with a couple of good friends. Lovely choice of pies in three different sizes. Also a selection of starters and other main meals. We all had a different pie and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The mash was gorgeous , can thoroughly recommend the mustard and the spring onion . The staff were delightful and very helpful well done guy and gal.
