This place is top drawer, rivals The Jalsa in Dunmow. Delivery portions are decent too. I recommend the Murghi Massala.

Food here is OK.. nothing terrible and nothing special. Seems to be whatever you order looks the same and tastes similar .. staff are nice and when there are enough customers it is a nice place to eat

The balti king is my local and Thursday and Sunday is half price food. Good food and service, and at the end of the meal my guest and I were presented with half price anytime cards!!

rubbish bog standard bland commercial indian, bland, greasy, slimey food, if you think this food is good you have seriously no clue about flavour that it’s embarressing, rubbish service also, if you actually have dignity about eating proper good indian food with authentic flavours go Pakwaan’s.

Could do better. Lamb sag was chewy & greasy though my friends chicken passanda was good. Indifferent service. Toilets weren't nice, broken taps, dead flies on floor, no hand towels.

Poor service, received the wrong order, and the wine tasted like it was watered down. Not great and the best part was walking out the door never to go again.

Went here on a friday night for a stag party. Arrived at 7:30pm and we did not receive our meals until gone 9pm. The food was okay but when the food arrived the waiters confused things, and put our food anywhere on the table. When it came to the bill we had to wait a further 30 minutes. The restaurant was full but it's only 50 covers and 6 waiters meaning there was enough staff. Completely delayed our night.

Me and now husband have been coming to Balti King since 2012 - it was our first date night together and it’s a place we go to a lot for date night or when we are feeling lazy and fancy as yummy Indian. Highly recommend - staff very friendly, food is delicious 🤤 great prices and especially their half price deal on Thursday & Sunday. We have been to a couple in the Essex area & I can honestly say, Balti King is by far the best tasting Indian in Essex. We are actually just waiting for it to open this evening to order some food.

Over priced very small portion meat was hard cramped for space waited too long for 2 main and 2 rice nearly fall in sleep don’t get a proper bill some handwringing rubbish on a pice of a paper come on we living 2023

Been here many times over the years it's been active and never had a bad experience. Food is tasty and plentiful helpings. Staff are courteous and considerate. There are other places to get an Indian meal but as a total package my friends and I will always come here.

My absolute favourite curry house - their Naga Lamb being my favourite curry dish. All the usual dishes plus Cobra beer. They also have some half price food evenings if you are feeling a bit 'skint'.

There is good reason this restaurant has been open so long. Good food, service and value.

Food was spot on, staff were all great. Toilets were bloody cold though. All in all I'll definitely go back.

My family have been frequenting the Balti King for almost 35 years and it's been consistently good ,whether eating in or having a takeaway. Absolutely the best Chicken Tikka Biryani ,my favourite, but honestly ,everything is amazing! The staff are so polite and friendly too. Love,love ,love it !!

Went in to this restaurant on sunday I had chicken biryani vegetable curry Peshawar nan .....for last 2 days I've had diarrhea 20 times a day ..I thought it tasted not to good !!!! I be on to this place when I fill better as I'm weak and ache .. please don't be fooled by the half price days on Thursday and Sunday ..there prices are so expensive it's normal price really ..just say Madras in there £13.99 wow !!! Most places £8 ..exsarmple that is ..half lime soda ? Ready for it £3

Great food. We went when it was really busy and the food was really good and came in decent time. The waiting staff were lovely and the menu well marked for those with intolerances or allergies. The only thing that could be said as a negative was that the seating wasn't very comfortable.

We went out for a curry during the week food was nice the service was fine. The restaurant still offered handwritten receipts. The decor is looking a bit tired but the cleanliness is still fine

This curry house has been here with the same owners for over 30 years. It’s no thrills but enjoyed the food. Really enjoyed the tandoori chicken and keema Bhuna!

Used this restaurant for more than 30 years. Well priced, varied menu. If you've not tried it before, the channa chicken provides a fabulous protein hit. However, over the years, having sampled most of the dishes it's hard to pick a favourite. Thursday and Sunday are usually busy due to the discount on offer...a great atmosphere, well worth a visit
