Balti Hut in Birmingham

My husband and I have visited the Balti Hut a couple of times recently and both times the food has been really delicious. We first visited on a Wednesday in August and dined at 7pm.We were the only diners in the restaurant. We thought it was maybe because it was midweek and we dined early so our next visit was in a Friday at 8pm. Again we were the only diners which results in a lack of atmosphere. Such a shame. They deserve to be busy. Perhaps they are at 10/11pm but that’s too late for us to eat. 😢

Chicken nuggets I gave the to the dog because they looked smelled and tasted vile minced meat keema watery chips rubbery wouldn’t recommend at all spent £69 and they refunded me £11 this is not the only time I’ve had issues with this place

This is now our favourite local curry house! Always a warm, friendly welcome, the service is excellent and the food is amazing. A wide choice of dishes on the interesting menu and you can take your own alcoholic drinks which keeps the price of a meal out reasonable. Thank you Balti Hut - we'll see you again soon! 😊

the food was the worst we have ever had meat was tough and was literally swimming in fat. First time I've ever complained as it was so bad.

Food was very poor quality. Vegetarian samosas had lamb in them, naan bread was hard, lamb tikka was chewy and over cooked, both meals were very greasy

Our favourite go to curry house. Ali is warm and friendly and always goes out of his way to find us a table even when we rock up on Valentine’s Day without a booking . Great menu option and nothing is ever too much trouble . Ali’s customer service is amazing and we wouldn’t go anywhere else . Thanks for always looking after us .

I phoned for a home delivery at 8pm an hour and a half later im trying to phone to ask how long the delivery will be but no answer after phoning and phoning and phoning then the delivery guy turns up at 10.15pm with cold food asked him why it took so long for him to tell me he dont know hes just the delivery guy so i asked him to get the shop to call me and was told no its not his job!!! Still cant get through to the shop either!! Absolutelty shocking and i will be visiting for my refund tomorrow

Had good stuff from here in the past but this evenings order was not the best. The Chicken pakora are not very good and the lamb is very tough.

We have Visited the Balti hut on many occasions with friends. Always Greeted with a warm welcome. Food is perfectly seasoned & tastes amazing. Average prices but you can take your own alcohol , so ends in a very reasonably priced night. Big Thankyou To Ali & Team See you again soon. Michelle.

The worst food I have ever eaten waste of £35! Totally burnt naan unable to eat, lamb curry was a weird colour and zero flavour looked like just base sauce used. The saag paneer was hard and saag tasted like soil and was very wet, no seasoning at all, Dhal was thick but tasteless no salt zero seasoning Wish I could post pics! I was so angry! When I called them they had gone home! Obviously didn’t expect an order late Wednesday night and rustled some rubbish together ! I’m a caterer been in the game for 35 years could not believe ppl serve slop like this to customers! I’m Indian and know exactly how curries should look and taste! AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

Had a family meal here. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made good recommendations for the table; including 91 yr old Father in Law who was having his first curry. The food was superb and we were all very happy. Would very much recommend

My new favourite.. Polite staff, well priced and you can bring your own drinks in from the off licence directly across the road. Atmosphere...I don't know? It's quiet sometimes and quite loud other times. It's his and miss really. But the foods good and that's the important bit.

Best curry restaurant I've been to. Lived in bham for 30years and tried 100s no where compares to the balti hut. Nice atmosphere, amazing food, byob, personal friendly service and good value to boot. Food does the talking here though

Two chapati were missing from the order.

The food was nice, and the staff were incredibly helpful. It was one of the only wheelchair accessible restraunts we spotted on this road and it was well worth eating here.

We had a game getting the food as half of it turned up missing- blamed on just eat and sent the rest half hour later so the rest was cold. The naan bread actually tasted stale it had a sweaty taste to it, it was thrown in the bin! Will never reorder

We ordered the 3 piece menu as we have done for the last 7/8 years but the meal tonight was not as good as normal the starter was fine but the balti very waterery and no taste and the chicken pieces were big and rubbery sorry we won't be using the restaurant again and would like a refund

I am not satisfied with the service I have received from the Balti Hut.Our order has still not arrived when it was due to be with us at 8.20pm.We contacted the restaurant in which they said they were just leaving now to deliver the order. We called again at 9pm in which they passed across the contact number for the delivery driver and then put the phone down mid call.We called back again in which they did not give any apology for our order having not been delivered,or for their inadequate customer care.During this call they ended the call again.We have tried calling back a few times in which they are now not answering their phone.It has now become necessary for my partner to go into the Balti Hut to speak with a manager directly to resolve the issue. I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the service we have received and will not be ordering with the Balti Hut again.I will await their response to my review.

Brilliant here. The staff are very friendly and the foods just amazin! Id go every night if i could. The portions are very genrous and nothings too much trouble. Take your own alcohol. Can get water and i think pop there but also taken our own

Lovely friendly staff, very helpful and have knowledgeable advice and recommended dishes... Relaxed warm atmosphere with low volume music... Now the food!!!!! WOW... THE VERY BEST BALTI & CURRY EVER... The flavours and fresh dishes were all mouth watering and utterly delicious... Fantastic sides and comp poppadoms... The food is usually excellent but the delivery service is very poor. The first time I ordered I pre ordered online which provides the option of picking a time for delivery, and after calling and calling it ended up arriving over an hour late - they had clearly forgotten my order. The second time it was all perfect, then tonight I pre ordered for the same time and it turned up 2 hours prior. I explained it was due to arrive at 7.45 so sent it away (hadn't put the baby to bed yet!) and then eventually it turned up around the time requested but the food was much poorer than usual. It was cold, the potatoes were hard, the chicken dry and the portions were noticeable smaller!? Did I get my original order 2 hours later and they just kept it warm? Who knows? Probably. I hope not. I am more than happy to call at the time of opening and expect my delivery 40-45 mins after ordering like most takeaways, I appreciate a timed delivery is a great service. So if you can't accommodate it, don't advertise it. Really disappointing, for such an expensive meal. Been trying to call all evening, they just let it ring out and when finally got through they hung up mid conversation. Never again.

Restaurant has only one delivery driver so took ages to arrive, doesn’t use just eat delivery drivers which would surely speed things up. Ordered prawn madras, chicken madras arrived. Not much good if you don’t eat chicken.

Everything was cooked to perfection my only gripe would be it was so nice my family ate every scrap with no leftovers for tomorrow lol lol Balti hut is a little gem to Stirchley. Absolutely beautiful meal all cooked to perfection. 3 course meal of Lamb tikka, Chicken Balti and Rice for £10.95 plus we bought naan, chapati and the meal included dips and salad... Just over £15 and fed 3 of us. This has now become our favourite Indian restaurant in Stirchley. Compliments to the chef and all the staff at Balti Hut.. Looking forward to eating in for our Wedding anniversary next weekend ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Biryani sauce not brilliant but rest of food was nice

Food very tasty but was swimming in grease and oil, did put me off a little. Balti Chicken and spinach wasn't extra spicy as requested.
