Balti House in Brentwood

Today I have taken dinnar “Balti House” Restaurant. I really happy to their service and hospitality.

The foods are really good. Satisfied with the service and food.

Meal turned up late i called the restaurant and he said itll be 15 mins , called them back 20mins later and they said itll 6 mins but it wasnt , poor delivery time and small portions, 2 pieces of lamb rest was veg and sauce dnt waste your money guys

Jalfrezi was really poor, know Chillies or spice in it whatsoever, might as well of ordered a Korma, very disappointed.

The portion of the food was very small and the tandoori had no flavour.

The food was delicious, fresh and very hot! We would definitely order again.

The food was good and it arrived early however I did not appreciate the driver trying to get a few extra quid off if me by telling me the free delivery was for orders over £15 and I only spent £12 (after the restaurants promotion deal was applied). How cheeky!!

My order was delivered to the wrong address. 3 phone calls and just over an hour later my food arrived with a rushed apology & no goodwill offer of any kind. I accept that people make mistakes, but this could have been resolved much more quickly

I’m a regular customer of this restaurant. After half an hour of ordering on Just Eat with a Just Eat promotion, the restaurant cancelled my order and called me to say I didn’t order at the min price for delivery. The restaurant should not be able to cancel an order after Just Eat has accepted the order and Just Eat should not allow restaurants to cancel orders based on their own terms rather than following the terms set by Just Eat. The restaurant should be banned from using the Just Ear platform or any similar platform if they can pick and choose the terms and conditions they wish to follow!

We had no sauce with our samosas and the shami kebab were so small they have really shrunk in size, also no onion in the salad and as I said no raita sauce with the samosa starter which there was meant to be 4 and was only 3.

Food never came and took my money

Very small portions. Cut the meat by half….possibly as the offer was 50% off when spend £50 but not worth the money. Lots of sauce and onions to fill the containers! Chicken very tough in korma dish…..not edible. Shashlik container was half empty. Usually 8 or 9 pieces of chicken but today only 4!!! Usually good food and good portions. Plenty of Indian restaurants in Brentwood so time for a change now. Shame as we have used Balti House in Brentwood for a long time.

So very disappointed with tonight’s takeaway. We’ve been using the Balti House for a very long time but the quality has really deteriorated. The amount of meat in the dishes is almost non existent. Tried to telephone to complain and they didn’t answer . Beware ! We won’t be using again

Have been going to balti house for around 20 years. You can take your own drinks, which keeps the price of the bill down. Food is always really good, service is friendly and is a good place to go for any occasion. There are plenty of vegetarian options and enough vegan options for anyone to be able to enjoy dinner. There are tables downstairs and downstair toilets to use.

there's hardly any meat in the portions. I ordered three for a single meat eater and it's ridiculous what you get.tiny tiny very few pieces.

Was disappointed with a discrepancy with order, it stated buy one get one free and Balti dishes, I received just one. The driver was fine, the restaurant itself were a bit rude and abrupt when I questioned my order... They said speak to Just Eat and hung up on me..

Burnt popadoms, burnt hard onion bhajis and oily cold curry

Never arrived, i think driver took food on a tour of Essex, just five miles away and out with it for 45 minutes and still never arrived, so cancelled

The food and service was excellent. Specially Chicken tikka masala was fantastic 😋 I really enjoyed it. We all had a great day.

Updated review after weeks of orders turning up with things missing I'm calling it a day from ordering here anymore. Numerous times the breads or sauces are missing,last time a main meal was missed and after calling them they asked if they could send next week !! And this week again a bread missing and no poppadoms.sorry you have lost a customer and I will be taking my business elsewhere

They have an upstairs and downstairs dine in area the downstairs is accessible for wheelchair users which not many restaurants have, the atmosphere was lovely, food was delicious, loved the Indian music in the background. Will definitely go back again😀

Food cannot be faulted and service was good. Even went above and beyond when one of our party asked for biscuits to go with his coffee. Decor could possibly do with an update. It's a little uninspiring, but this can be overlooked as the food is delicious 😋

It would have been nice for someone to contact us to let us know it would be late, but they didn’t. I had to ask after 20 mins of waiting. That said, the food was lovely.

The food was not value for money. Quantity was small in the context of £25 spending

We were really pleased with the food. There was a slight hiccup with the order where one item was missing but this was quickly resolved by the staff and the missing item was delivered 15 mins later. They even followed up with a call to confirm everything was OK. Wonderful customer service! We would definitely be ordering again.

Firstly I would like to thank balti house for hosting my wife’s birthday party. I must say smashing food taste. The structure of the restaurant is like old school cottage it’s kind of unique for this generation. Definitely coming soon for baltihouse banging food!!!

Food is ok but every dish tastes the same, I have only eaten in the restaurant once, service was ok, helpful staff, but food let it down. Tend to order home delivery from here now, only because there isn't many other places to order Indian food from nearby. All of the restaurants in Brentwood , all the food made in the same way, one big pot of sauce used to make all dishes. This is one of the better Indian restaurants in Brentwood, I wouldn't say there are any great Indian restaurants in Brentwood, which is a shame, you have to go further afield into Ilford or London to get real authentic beautiful Indian food.

Normally everything is perfect. Not sure what went wrong tonight. The lamb Madras was a mild as mild could be. Had no flavour, when I rang the man at the other end didn’t seem to understand what I was saying. Very disappointed tonight.

Dirty toilets and no soap or anything to dry hands on. Restaurant was dated but food cheap. Waiter was not friendly, Literally threw plates across table not even bothering to give me the right rice and had to swap food with group to get our dishes right. Had trouble understanding us when we asked for our order. Not a place to go for good atmosphere, OK if you just want a cheap curry and to bring your own booze.

One of the waiters was really handsome and he brought out my food whilst flirting a little 😉The food was amazing and the food was spot on (Lamb tikka masala in particular) it was honestly unbelievable and this place deserves more recognition.

Food delivery time was changed after ordering to 30 mins later than expected. When they delivery driver arrived he had no change even though we specified we would be paying cash. No way of contacting to claim back the extra £10 we paid and are owed

I have been going to the Balti Brentwood for more years than I can remember, the food (in particular try the lamb chops) is absolutely super. It can get noisy, but that’s all part of the charm, great staff and an interesting menu. The best is at the end because as it’s a BYO the bill is always a pleasant surprise.

All good, except very low on meat content and meat quality. Shami kebabs were tiny and hardly any lamb in the lamb boxes. Argh.

The delivery was late. The food was oily. The bag was leaking with oil. Not good quality of food. Not eatable food. Gone in the bin. Refund is requester.

First order from BH. Food was really delicious, especially the Chef’s Special Garlic Chilli Chicken. Unfortunately, the quantity of the portion sizes was very disappointing. Barely any chips in bag and trays only two-thirds full so felt a bit unhappy about this as the food itself was great and Indian takeaways are never exactly cheap either. Saying that, the 25% off offer really made a difference to the final cost and was one of the few deciding factors for us. However, the delivery time was outstanding, arriving nearly 30 minutes earlier than expected so was really chuffed with this. May order again if the portion sizes are a tad more generous.

Attended Sunday evening with a group of friends from work. Lovely evening. Nice food. Bashar was very accommodating, polite and friendly. Look forward to coming back soon.
