Came for last night of a week walking in the Cotswolds. Reviews were good and was the closest to where we were staying. Very pleasant surprise. Service and food both excellent. Complimentary drink from manager at the end in spite of us not being local so unlikely to return. He obviously has many regular customers and is on first name terms with many. Busy but table cleared for us quickly although we hadn't booked. Extensive menu and a great end to our holiday.

Its our second visit and we noticed the the sign outside says Balti Hut but the menu says Balti Hot ? Wonder which one is correct? Food seemed sightly better than our previous visit.

Good choice of food, relaxing decor and atmosphere, friendly staff. Passander dish was very sweet and sickly, so would not recommend that. Mixed balti was very good. Pickle tray had a very hot chilli condiment, which is great for chilli fans, but beware !

We had to try Indian food in the UK as it is its most popular dish but I was really afraid of it being too spicy for me. The staff here helped me to select sweet and non-spicy options. The food was amazing! While we were waiting for our order we were treated to free Indian beer and we were even sent home with a complimentary bottle of wine!

We had a takeaway from here whilst on a river holiday having read some reviews and desperate for a decent curry but were very very disappointed. The mains were very oily, the aloo gobi was mostly burnt spinach and the rice was undercooked and some of it was still crunchy. We also had a keema nan which was stone cold and we wondered if it had been cooked at all - overall the worst Indian we have ever had

Although we Live in Bidford we have not been here for years and we decided to try somewhere local so no one had to drive. wife, (Birhday girl) had been trying to find an indian dish she realy liked (she tended to have chicken and chips!) but has recently found a dish she likes, Rogan Josh. Pre drink drinks in the Frog was followed by 13 of us having a meal at the Balti hut. Variety of dishes ordered by various ages of people 17-66. All food came out in good time and we were all served pretty much together, only delay in the time to come from the kitchen to the table as the waiters only have one pair of hands! All food was piping hot and the drinks flowed well. We chatted about our meals and no one, and I mean not one of us had any cause for complaint. This was over a week ago now and it was on a Saturday night and seemed to be quieter than usual although there were still a few other tables being used.

Friends had the curry, I had the tandoori chicken and salad which was fine. Naan bread was way undercooked, a round shape rather than a tear drop, so I left it.

Went last night with my family, food was great, hot, full of flavour, waiters were attentive, over all a good night. Will be returning soon.

A few friends and I had a table booked for a catch up. Customer service could really do with some improvement. The service was very slow and the wine availability limited. The first bottle we ordered was unavailable, the second (which was 'plonked' on the table, unopened and no cooler) was lovely but on ordering a second was told they didn't have any of that left either. Given it was a Saturday evening and didn't appear fully booked we expected more.

Have had many a take away and eat in meal here. Service is always friendly and efficient and the food is always tasty and hot, the naan breads are particularly good. Al is fantastic asset to our community and it is great to walk into a place and be recognised by a friendly face. Best Indian restaurant and take away in the area by far.

We have eaten at the Balti Hut for a number of years and have always been satisfied with the food, however the restaurant is now under new ownership and appears to have gone downhill. We recently went for a curry but found the meal disappointing with poor quality - cold food... one of our party ordered a lamb dish but was served chicken. Sorry guys but I will avoid you in the future.

Used to be good but last 2 takeaway meals have been very poor, had lamb but it was dry and chalky, couldn't eat it and threw it away, seems to have really gone downhill which is a shame as used to go there a lot now get takeaway delivered from Alcester which is much better quality

Great friendly staff but found the food to be quite poor. I don't believe our spices had been cooked fully which gave the food a Funny taste . Whilst we waited a chap returned 3 as he had been given the wrong take away . We will try it again to see if they were having a bad day.

You are met by smiling faces and attentive staff. The place is small and cosy which brings a warm atmosphere to the place. The food starts very well with great poppadoms , and the starters are just great as well. However the mains were a dissappointment being stodgy and bland with the naan soggy and heavy. Perhaps it was just my order on the night but trying my companions food which was a different choice l could find no difference in the taste or texture despite being a totally different dish. One further gripe the waiter was constantly pushing for the next course order which did'nt make for a relaxing experience. However friendly staff and a reasonable cost made this a worthwhile visit. Would I go again yes. Is it the best Indian restaurant I have tried no.

Tried a takeaway about 3 weeks ago, and now go once a week for takeaway. tried the chicken and mushroom balti and garlic chicken and both are delicious, loads of chicken in each dish, chicken bhuna is my partners fav, lots of onions and sauce, allways busy in restaurant and staff allways welcoming with a smile, we both agreed will go in and sit down and have it next week, def recommend.

Had a good meal on Sunday evening over bank hokiday weekend. We got a free bottle of wine as we had booked in advance and both enjoyed our meals. Alam's daughter had been married the previous week and he showed us a preview of the vidoe footage and chatted happily to the many local repeat customers who were also enjoying their food

Good, well-cooked food with a bonus of a free bottle of (decent) wine if you book in advance. The only downside was that a balti meal shouldn't be served on a plate, but that was a minor quibble.

We called in for a meal after work and was not disappointed. Poppadoms to start, with spices and onion, then garlic chicken and chicken sagwala with pilau rice and peshwari nan. It was too much for the two of us so leftovers were given to us to take home.

Don't expect anything fancy but what you get is good honest curry house that serves curries of the standard found up and down the land. Nothing makes it stand out from the crowd.

We went here for a friend birthday. The staff are always happy. The food was lovely but we were left for long periods of time with out a drink and having to call the waiter over to take the order. This was the only down side as the food we had was lovely and full of flavour.

The Balti Hut is the best Indian Restaurant I have been to, Alan and all the staff are so friendly and helpful they are always smiling and nothing is too much trouble for them

There is a good range of dishes to suit most palettes. As we were staying nearby we arrived without booking on a very busy evening but there was only a brief wait before they managed to seat us. The service was friendly and efficient.

We hadn't been out for a curry for quite a while for some unknown reason.

We ordered a take away. The service was friendly and there is a comfortable area to wait. The restaurant looked modern and popular. I had high hopes. Unfortunately these were let down by the lentil side dish that had an overpowering taste of burnt garlic. The chef had obviously not tasted it or I presume he would not have allowed it to be served? This taste then overwhelmed the rest of the meal and was definitely the taste we were left with....... what a pity.

I've been to the Balti Hut several times and the Food was always excellent. The Service was great and they always spice the meals up or down depending on your preferences. Friendly atmosphere with nice decorations. Great value and lots of tasty Food.

Dined with some friends at this wonderful restaurant last night, The service was as good as you get in any top establishment, the food was superb, so many choices we all had something different and would all eat the same meal again. The staff were only to pleased to discuss and explain the various meals ensuring we chose the meal that suited all our tastes. Can't fault the staff and Management we will definately visit again.

We live in Bidford so use this restaurant very regularly, either to sit in or take away. Alan and his staff are always very attentive and give you a warm friendly welcome. The food is lovely, and they will adjust a dish to whatever you require and even cook something that isn't on the menu. The Balti Hut really does provide you with the best curry around.

I visited this Indian restaurant twice in two weeks and the food and service was great. In fact the service was a little too fast, would have liked a few minutes break between each course. Could not fault service or food though, but was not offered free wine as I've read in another review and there were two of us dining on each occasion. Will definitely eat there again.

We visit to Balti Hut regularly as it is local to where we live. We take friends and family when they visit and sometimes we go on our own. Whether there is 2 or 20 of us, the service is always the same, excellent, as is the food and value. A very nice aray of staff always willing to offer helpful advice and suggestions/variation on menu. 'A Must' restaurant!

Have used this balti place before and decided to grab a quick take away. I am now very disapointed I chose to go. This is possibly the worse bit of cooking I have tasted in a long while and felt the need to post my 1st ever review. The chicken tikka masala had no spice, flavour or texture. Sauce was thin and watery and quite bizzarly it tasted very simialr to the chicken kurma other than a different colour that had the same thin , watery sauce. Cannot belive a chef could serve up anything to this poor level i wouldnt even serve this up to myself from my own kitchen.

Many people had recommended the Balti Hut so we were looking forward to a good curry. We had booked a table for Friday night although we needn't have bothered as it was very quiet. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant which wasn't great as there was a table of 6 students/youngsters behind us who were obviously confusing a restaurant for a school canteen as they shouted at each other and felt that the whole restaurant wanted to hear their conversation.

Had a lovely meal on my first visit. Great service. The staff are really friendly. Good value and nice atmosphere. The river is nearby where you can sit and have a drink at the pub first.

We were in the Balti Hut for large family gathering. Food was good and our end of the table certainly chose well. Front of house service was very pleasant but slow. Think the delays might have been in the kitchen. Surprised, given the size of our party, not to have been given a small selection of poppadoms while we waited for our meal. I love the lighting and the decor. Altogether a good experience and we had a really excellent celebratory evening.

Recently visited Bidford with friends and we decided to go for a curry after a few pints.

The food was excellent and the service was quick, efficient and freindly. The flavours in the chicken Balti were fantastic and it is the first time we had come across Garlic Fried Rice, which was fabulous. Never thought of doing that, but if you Garlic then try it.

This is our local Balti restaurant - quite simply put - Excellent Service and Food. Alan and his team are first class. Enough said ! Jono.

We love the Balti Hut! We go every wedding anniversary and our son (13 today) always wants a take-away there on for his birthday (3 years running now).

It just happens that the Balti Hut is our most local take-away but it wins on quality too. The same menu is used for both the restaurant and the take-away. We've never eaten in here but the food is very good and quite authentic.
