El personal tan acogedor tan pronto como entras. El restaurante estaba limpio con una hermosa decoración indonesia. Había una amplia gama de comida para elegir, incluyendo menús fijos. Las descripciones en el menú eran geniales, pero el personal vino con un iPad para que nos desplacemos con fotos de toda la comida, así que tuvimos una mejor idea de lo que estábamos pidiendo! La comida en sí era impresionante. Comí el Kuzy Anam, algo de lo que nunca había oído hablar, pero estaba delicioso, genial con arroz frito con huevo. Mi amiga tomó el Padang con arroz al vapor y dijo que era uno de los padang más deliciosos que había probado. También compartimos el roti que fue definitivamente el mejor que he comido - derretir en su boca! ¡Y la salsa de curry que nos dieron lo acompañó increíblemente! Las porciones eran tan grandes para el precio que solicitamos llevar un poco a casa. Lamentablemente, como nos fuimos a ver un programa, no pudimos llevarlo con nosotros. El personal era muy amable y nos dejó recogerlo después del espectáculo. El espectáculo terminó tarde, así que nos apresuramos a Bali Bali para encontrar una nota en la puerta con nuestra comida esperándonos - que fue muy apreciado! La comida era demasiado buena, nos moríamos por llevar las sobras a casa con nosotros. Con todo, un restaurante fenomenal con un gran ambiente y comida fantástica - muy recomendable!

A true hidden gem in the heart of the West End! I’ve been coming here for over 20 years, and it remains the best Malaysian restaurant in London. This family-run spot consistently delivers incredible food, with my go-to dish being the Ikan Masak Pedas—a whole deep-fried sea bass with mixed chilli that’s absolutely bursting with flavor. The portions are generous, and every bite is mouth-watering. As their popularity has skyrocketed, the vibe has changed, and it’s always packed—so booking in advance is a must. Despite the growth, the food quality remains top-notch. I can’t recommend this place enough—an absolute must-visit!

We had a delicious lunch here, the satay was incredibly tasty and the portions are enormous. The nasi goreng was also full of flavour. The service was delightful, couldn't have wished for better. All in all amazing food and great value,we are already planning a return trip!

Delicious Indonesian style food. We had beef Rendang squid curry, 2 types of noodles , chicken curry and roti canai , Heaps of food for four people and every dish was delicious. Well worth a visit, will be back. Service was fast and efficient.

Absolutely loved this quaint, welcoming Indonesian restaurant. Was a truly wholesome, homely experience. Cosy atmosphere and friendly, sociable, knowledgeable waiting staff. Had some heartwarming Malay cuisine classics. Extensive menu includes Indonesian, Malaysian, Singaporean, and Thai dishes. Great variety whether poultry, seafood, vegetarian, etc. For starters we had the semur telor (eggs with soy sauce) and the vegetarian sate (mock chicken with peanut sauce). The sauces were strong, but still the dishes were alright. For mains, we got the prawn green curry and the sambal goreng pete (spicy tofu with chilli sauce). Tastiest tofu dish I've ever had! The dishes were perfectly spiced and portioned generously. The desserts were somewhat interesting, but I'd say that this restaurant's speciality is in its mains. I'd recommend the teh tarik drink (cold version), and maybe the layered cake. Overall, excellent customer service, great place to chill and enjoy a satisfying meal and spend time in the good vibes. Cultural decor around too, plus candle-lit tables set the mood. Had this place on my want-to-go list for years and it definitely lived up to my expectations.

When I been told is the Godfather of Indonesians food it was well said, best beef rending I ever had, the chicken was well cooked introduced most of the dishes they were so delicious. I don't hesitate to recommend it

Busy but welcoming restaurant with lots of veggie options, decent drinks list, and lovely staff.

Good food with some nice vegan options. Had a salad and curry. The plantbased skewers were nice but had a sweet side to them. The rest was great. Staff were friendly and we got a table for 2 during a busy time.

September 2024 Visiting one of authentic Indonesian restaurant in London. Trying dendeng (dry beef), bakwan jagung (fried corn with flour), bakso (meatballs), among others. The taste was good, the portion was great and the owner is very nice guy. He came from North Sumatera while his wife is from West Java. Many Indonesia official and artist had been come here, as you can see on the walls. Very recommended.

Really good quality food, had the beef rending which was amazing, highly recommend. The prices were also very reasonable especially for the location.

We came here hoping they would meet our expectations and they exceeded them! The staff were very friendly! All the classic Indonesian dishes were very tasty. And the cherry on the cake - they have our all time fav when we go to Indonesia - es cendol! Def coming back.

Pretty much my favourite restaurant in London.

One of my favourite Indonesian/Malaysian restaurants in London. I have visited a few times and each visit has always been great. The food is amazing. The kari kamblimg (lamb curry) was my favourite this visit and the curry which is served with the roti canai is simply delicious. It is well worth the visit and I’m always willing to drive the 1.5 hours and tolerate finding parking. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be returning again.

As a walk was made to feel very welcome, staff dealt with my allergies as if no problem at all. food was outstanding ( we had the set meal for 2) expecting small portions was proved wrong,had to leave some as completely full.highly recommended,with great value for money

Bali Bali is a pleasant Indonesian restaurant located close to Covent Garden. We ordered a lunch menu (option to choose 1 starter, main course and a dessert for 1.25 extra) and an Ayam Goreng Kampung (a deep fried chicken in a green chili base - not for the spice-averse!) with steamed rice. The Sup Udang (prawns in a light coconut base) and Nasi Goreng served with the lunch menu were good, though the portion size of the Nasi Goreng was fairly small. The service was quick and generally with a smile. If you want to try Indonesian food, worth giving the place a look.

Wonderful meal but not enough room on tiny table for two in the window, for 1 large platter of Nasi Goreng for my wife, and 4 a la carte side dishes for two of us to share. £75.00 was fantastic value for top quality lunch for two, and a "doggy bag" to take home for my wife's Sunday lunch.

Friendly Indonesian restaurant serving good food; we went for the rijstafel, which turned out to be a huge amount for 2 people - the server was very helpful and tailored the dishes to our dietaryrequirements. Luckily we were able to have it bagged to take with us!

Pequeño restaurante encantador con personal amable y un ambiente relajante. Lumpia y martabak para empezar eran deliciosos, en particular el martabak de ternera. Nunca lo había probado antes, pero definitivamente lo volveré a tener. Esto fue seguido por un perfecto Mie goreng. El rendang de ternera estaba bien cocinado, pero estaba un poco más seco de lo que normalmente me gusta. Sin embargo, creo que así es como debería ser y ya he tenido diferentes versiones de él antes. Todos servidos con ensalada fresca y todo muy bien cocinado. Los precios son muy muy buenos para la calidad de la comida, y estoy deseando volver la próxima vez que esté en Londres.

This resto improved from the last time we were here. They finally got rid of those plastic covered tables that ruins a nice meal! Quite pricey but that is central London for you! I remember a lovely Malaysian place in Soho with cheap prices, business did not survive which is an utter shame. We enjoyed all our orders and the servers are all lovely and polite. To top it all, I forgot my phone and one of our servers (nice man in light blue shirt with dark hair) did an Olympic stint to run after us just to return my phone! TO YOU SIR, THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH for your KINDNESS. To the management, you are lucky to have him! xx

The food was not that good. We tried the rice taffel for two and as compared what we can get in Holland for similar dishes, their food was very disappointing

Its decent place . We went there from work . Ordered a quite a few items from across the menu . Few items like Martabak , Nasi Goreng , the Whole Sea baas etc are recommended. One advice , may be make the toilet a bit kore cleaner .

recently visited this restaurant, and unfortunately, I found the prices to be quite excessive. Additionally, the pricing was not transparent, and I had to be extra cautious with the bill due to unexpected charges and add-ons. I highly recommend paying close attention to your bill and any extras that might be included without prior notice. This will definitely be my last visit.

Food was delicious very authentic flavours and taste, cendol drink was a little small a bigger glass would have been better! Overall nice place would return.

Came here for lunch today and the food was really good. Special fried rice was very filling. Prawns and chicken was great. Service was quick and staff were helpful and kind. Will definitely come back here again.

Fantastic find in Shaftesbury Ave which is often a sea of poor tourist traps. Great welcome, great service, fantastic authentic food (which the staff were very happy to talk about and give advice). Spice for flavour rather than pure heat - though you can get some heat if you want. Very theatre district friendly if you let them know your timings. Prices reasonable for location. Will definitely be back to enjoy more.

Great experience, first time we tasted Indonesian specialties. Possibility of viewing dishes on a tablet before ordering. Warning: if you don't eat very spicy foods, specify this when ordering, as it can quickly inflame the palate. We didn't know and the nasi goreng was very spicy for one of us and our baby. We also tasted the martabak daging which we recommend. The staff were very pleasant to us, and were very kind to our baby.

Kuzy Ayam just the job: great quality chicken with a sauce that packed a serious punch. Vegetable spring rolls tasty to start, as were Indonesian prawn crackers BUT there could have been more. House red was excellent! Mango ice cream a little underwhelming (it should have been creamier) but overall I was impressed and had my taste buds piqued for more!

One of the nicest services I've ever had in the UK with absolutely delicious food! My kids loved it so much so finished their plates even though it was their first time to try Indonesian food! Thanks to the staff for the excellent menu recommendations.

Went for Dinner and it did not disappoint.

I chose this restaurant as a surprise for my daughter who came back after traveling for a year in February. Bali was her favourite place and I have to say the food here was just as good as in Bali. I have booked again for this weekend with friends.if you like Indonesian cuisine this is the place to go

Food is OK, some dishes are close to real indonesian teste, but most missed the mark. Biggest issue is the staff - rude and careless.

All 3 of us loved the Rijsttafel that we ordered. A variety of tastes, it wasn't too spicy (for one of my friends!). We couldn't make our way through it. As regards service, I must highlight Munna , who told us all about his home country + Bangladesh. He was so friendly and so helpful. He became a friend, for the time that we interacted. He should do very well in the future.

What a gem of a restaurant. Visited early (1800) on a hot Thursday evening. From the outside the restaurant looks plain but it was superb. The interior was very clean, and appealing. The staff were very welcoming, and answered all questions about the food. The food was superb, and service was excellent. Between us we had the Special Platter for 2, Martabak Daging, Thai Green Curry, Sambal Daging Goreng (Spicy Hot!), Ikan Tomato (note fish has to be deboned), Coconut Rice, Egg Fried Rice, followed by a Lychee fruit dessert. The food was so tasty, and absolutely delicious, for every course. The only surprise was having to debone the fish. I would highly recommend a visit, and hopefully will be able to revisit next time I’m in London.

The beef rendang and beef jerky balado are really top 👍👍👍 must try. And as for the Nasi Lemak, it's also delicious + the Fried Rice is also really good..., that's for sure, all the dishes at Bali Bali London, top markotop hehehe, your taste buds...

Lovely experience. This family-run restaurant not only provides delicious food, but excellent and friendly service. A nice selection on the menu, and really yummy food. We had starter and house speciality starters, as well as rice and noodles. The only thing better than the food were the delightful staff, who were helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Great restaurant, which I would recommend to all!

This was the first time I have tried pan-asian food and to say I was blown away was an understatement. The atmosphere was so homely and the staff were so sweet, kind and attentive. The food is incredible and bursts with a range of flavours. I would recommend this 1000x over!!

Celebrated my mom's birthday at lunchtime. It was our first try Indonesian food, so we had nice recommendations from the owner on what to choose. The dishes were delicious, the price was reasonable and very friendly staff. Definitely will be back!

Came in for lunch and got the ayam goreng with chilli sambal and kuzy chicken. Food tasted nice and was cheap, however, these were not authentic Indonesian flavours. Customer service was lovely though.

My wife and I had the set lunch at Bali Bali on Saturday the 9th March. What a fantastic restaurant, food was lovely and the flavours were outstanding. Will happily eat there again next time we visit London. Good value for money.

Lovely team and delicious food at this traditional Indonesian restaurant. The husband wife team have been running it together for 35 years. I still remember the meal from when I first tried it 7 years ago it was that good! The mixed platter starter was delicious and the Indonesian prawn crackers were gigantic. They have 1 mocktail which is lychee based and delicious. Go for the whole seabass and crispy fried chicken for main and the Kari lamb which has a tasty sauce. We finished off with rambutans which are a more dense style fleshy fruit similar to lychees. Halal and vegetarian options.

The lunch menu was good. The £11.50 lunch menu was good. My mum had the prawn soup and the prawn sambal with rice. I had the roti canai was good but a some bits were bit burnt, hence 4 star. The beef rendang wasn’t to my liking it had a charcoal taste. It was busy and I would go again. Not wheelchair accessible. Toilet in basement.

Me and my bestie come here at least 3 times a year. So much so the owner recognises us haha! For us there's a reason we come here year after year for the last 5 or 6 years, the quality and customer service. The quality of the food has not compromised in any way. The portions are generous and the hospitality is great. Highly recommend you make a reservation because it can get super busy very quickly. We've been here on weekend nights and even during the week. One time we came on Tuesday night and it was at capacity so make a reservation!! The food is a great representation of indo-malay food.
