Baldock Services - Extra - A1M J10 in North Hertfordshire

Pretty standard Extra services, good choice of food with major and minor players represented. M&S and WH Smith stores as well but pricey fuel in comparison to other garages locally. Two sets of EV charging points - 10 in total - most of which appear to work most of the time. All in all pretty good.

A great services. ample parking, a what looks fairly new playpark. Inside there is plenty of choice for food, lots of seating which altho busy was well maintained. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definately stop here again.

Stopped during a move from North to the South. Toilets were immaculate. The food from McDonald's was exceptional.

Food variety is very good and tastes okay but expensive.

Asha has given us a great help while we are in the food court thank you for that and great work.

Little gem situated just of the A1. Plenty of places to eat. Clean toilets friendly staff throughout. Brilliant childrens park as well. Perfect pit stop for everyone.. and if your lucky you could run in to someone famous..

Clean when the female cleaners are working there. This 5 stars is for them.

Mainly chain outlets like KFC, McD, etc, but there is an M&S if you want more variety and something more healthy. Greggs didn't have anything hot. Central seating with surrounding outlets. Not quite as busy as Peterborough services but obviously out of the same mould.

One of the McDonald's based Xtra services. With KFC, fish and chips, noodles, Greggs, German Doner Kebabs etc. large central seating area.

Usual motorway stop off. Plenty of Eateries & toilets. All good.

Great selection of food when stopping on a long journey. most annoying part can't use parent and child parking spots and some of disabled spots, as all were filled up by motorbikes and worker vans, which is just wrong.

Food and service so bad in the eateries. All the eating places in there. We went to all as couldn't get served or they had no food. Where do I start? Avoid to eat here. The worst service station I've been too. I was worried about getting food poisoning. 😩

Really busy services with lots of different places to get food. Spoilt for choice. Only downside is its a bit dearer than average due to it being a services.

Baldock Services was clean and tidy and the latte from McDonald's was enjoyable.

Very clean and new. Loads of parking. Ev chargers supplied by Gridserve (2). Great range of eateries and convenience stores.

Main building was clean and tidy however the outside was not so, all the bins (and I have to say I counted about 5 outside) were over flowing with waste and in some cases rubbish on the floor. Would be good to see extra waste bins along the footways in the carpark too like other extra service areas have for example that of Cambridge and Cobham.

Had to clear tables before we could sit down , dodge all the food on the floor while the staff were sitting down on their phones .

Plenty of choice for food but that's if the stench of urine coming from the toilets doesn't put you off. It's was pretty overwhelming pong.

We had to stop 2 times and this was the best for a road break. It has everything, even tables outside where you can have a drink. The bathrooms are very clean and spacious, with the possibility of taking a shower. In the center they also have sofas and many shops. The parking lot is quite large.

How to lose money......Only Accept Card Payments!!! NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO COMPLY TO DIGITAL CURRENCY. You lost our business today. 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Clean, tidy, cared-for, decent range of outlets, and, as a trucker, not so blooming far to walk

Quick pit stop, didn't linger, but looked neat and tidy. Loos well kept and clean.

As many services go, it has a lot of amenities, places to eat, and services you need while travelling. It's looked the same for a while, but a lot of places to choose from, should you eat here. The parking is huge, but it does get busy.

Dogs not allowed but there are no places to tie them up outside. So you're forced to leave them in your hot car.

Having used Baldock Services for years I was so disappointed with the customer service at your KFC, we had our caravan for the first time and it took 2 attempts to find the too small spaces allocated, that is the size of them and that there were only 4 spaces, some being used by work vans and trailers. Will not be attempting that again.

Like all services, it's busy, crowded and expensive. However, it's in line with expectations. Cleaning crews are fighting a constant battle with grubby people who toss litter around like grumpy toddlers. Good range of outlets, loos are as clean as expected and the seats/tables are well curated. Probably nicer when it's quiet, but that's not the point. Functional and acceptable, we won't NOT stop here, depends on the route & destination.

GDK has come to Baldock Services! One more place to eat. A good variety of kebabs!

For a service station, this is probably one of the best ones around plenty of parking, many outlets, McDonald’s, M&S Simply Food, Starbucks/Costa, KFC, Nando’s, Pizza Express, Greggs, LEON, Chopstix, El Mexicana and many more. Usually there's plenty of seating indoors, or if the weather permits, you can sit outdoors 😊

Cleaning staff seem overwhelmed, toilets dirty, bins overflowing, was also very cold as door by toilets was wide open and cold wind was blowing through the eating area making our food go cold, and making us feel chilly.

There is a multi faith room where you can pray Salah.Its nextt to the Disabled toilet

It was a services like every other services, in fact, it was exactly the same to the other Extra services I've need to pee at!! Toilets (Gents) were okay but like every bloody gents you go into always smells like piss and chemicals, both odours fighting to get up your nostrils and put you off the Greggs sausage roll and latte! I am a bit unsure who needs a bloody shower at the services!? Who in the UK are travelling for so long, that they need to have a shower, right next to a bank of urinals? It's not that big of a country!!

Stopped off at the service station and found all disabled bays were full of vans and cars that were not displaying blue badges. The cars were delivery drivers. Not staff around to speak with to raise concerns. Tables inside were unclean and sticky. Would think twice about eating here.

Decent services. Great food court with something to satisfy everyone. Two shops to grab some onwards snacks and a Starbucks for caffeine shot. Toilet facilities are good offering showers. Loads of parking. Overnight stay area for trucks and car and hgv fuel station.

They have a Greggs! And many other eateries, including M&S. Parkings free for 3 hours.

As services go this is a decent one, clean and bright. Lots of food options and not mega ripoff prices like most services.

It's definitely worth stopping. Love the place

Good services except the caravan parking spaces are very small (we couldn't fit our caravan into the spaces so had to overhang by about 2.5 metres) plus they are also very narrow, added to which access and exit is difficult for a long vehicle.

This is a Palace of unhealthy eating, full of fast food outlets, pretty much any that you can imagine have an outlet there. Having said that the toilet facilities were fine and there were ample picnic tables scattered around the grounds.
