Really great food and cocktails, well worth a visit!

Stopped off today, 20th February 2025. It opened @ 12 today. Nice lady said, "Sit anywhere." I think it seats about 14-18 inside & a few outside. While looking at the menu, I asked for a coffee. Sorry, no hot drinks today. That naffed me off! Were a group of 4 adults and 2 under 6 grandchildren. We ordered a wide selection on offer. We could see the chef preparing our lunch. WOW! What a stunning selection we made. After my disappointment of no hot drinks, our sumptuous meal put a smile on my face. You will be a total mug if you walk on by!

We had a really nice meal here, my friend had fish and chips and i had the squid loaded fries. we would both like to thank your young man waiter called Elliot, who seemed to know the menu very well to help us make our choice of what to order. we hope to come back in the near future for another meal or two.

Lovely atmosphere in this Restaurant. Lovely staff. Good food and reasonable prices. Views over the Harbour. We are in St Ives for 6 days. We came to thias place 6 years ago when there were 6 of us and enjoyed it then and enjoyed it again

Our first time visiting St Ives and found Balcony Bar & Restaurant after looking on Trip Advisor. What a great find! We came here for lunch, had the mix & match tacos & a pulled pork burger. Was delicious! Great atmosphere, great view & great service! The chilli gin cocktail went down well!

We’ve been in St Ives for a week and eaten at Silco twice. Both times the food and service (thanks Georgia) have been excellent. 😋Really nice to be able to have half litre carafes of wine too. The cocktails are lovely and the Chardonnay compliments their dishes very well. 🍸🥂

We always come to The Balcony when we visit St Ives! Today we ordered a full English for an unbelievable £5 each, and 2 pots of tea, delicious food served quickly by a friendly waiter (who very kindly got a bowl of water for our dog). It was delicious and we enjoyed it whilst overlooking the beautiful harbour at charming St Ives

First visit to this lovely bar and kitchen. To the front e collect views across the harbour at St Ives, with nice seating areas and decorated to a high standard. We came for breakfast and had poached eggs, veggie sausage bap and drinks. All good, friendly service and dog friendly

Busy winters day in SIves. Good food, good company

Even though the portions are very small, the food was fantastic! Out of the entire 2 weeks trip, when I think of the food I liked the most, my answer would be here. So flavourful and the mix of ingredients came as a surprise: fries with seaweed! 😮🤤 Also the location is amazing - the view over the beach, the light, big windows! Amazing! And dogs are allowed - such a plus!

Elliot wowed us with superb customer service. Also the food was delightful - inventive, well-seasoned, and perfect portion sizes. Highly recommend and will be back!

Such a lovely place with unique dishes we haven't tried before. The service is as top notch. And the view overlooking the harbour was amazing! We tried their larger and fresh mackerel with special fries with seaweed and some flat bread. Will surely recommend a visit here! Thanks for your service and hospitality

Lovely in every way. Good food, nice sized portions, not too big. Excellent limoncello spritz and wonderful location to enjoy it in.

Lovely food that were fresh and tasted clean

Wandered in on a damp November evening after a long journey down. On the front in the harbour. Menu mainly burgers, tacos, loaded fries etc. but... absolutely delicious. The brisket loaded fries out of this world. Quick efficient QR code service and a very good Malbec. We'll be back.

Popped in for a gin, (or two!) and had a bite to eat, Furikake fries, Lavosh was delciose. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

Been here twice during a solo trip to St Ives. Really friendly service and quick drink dispense. Prices are reasonable for the venue and happy hour is an added bonus!

Stopped here, mainly as St Ives was so busy and this is at the far end of thr harbour so a little quieter. Wow the food was amazing, some of the nicest I’ve ever had. We had the hummus and flat bread, the lamb and the crab fries, between 3 adults. Every thing top notch. On the expensive side yes I guess but absolutely worth every penny. We paid £20 a head including soft drinks and 10 service charge. Was plenty of food for us. Worth hunting out if in the area and you like Lebanese food.

Amazing food and delicious gin!! Plus great views

A wonderful little restaurant with great views over St Ives harbour. The cocktails were delicious, the food was super tasty and all of the staff were really friendly. A great spot that we'll definitely visit again.

We popped in here for some lunch on a wet day as it has a good view over the harbour. The pulled pork taco was good but I was disappointed with my fish finger sarnie. It came in a bread roll that had no substance, it just fell apart as you were eating it. However I would return for another visit.

St Ives harbour has transformed over the years, with multiple restaurants and wine bars opening up offering so much choice. Silco is one of the truly good ones and it’s remained consistently brilliant for several years now. The fish curry and breads are stunning. Every time I visit St Ives I make sure to come here on a sunny day to enjoy the brilliant food and drink, as well as the superb setting. Highly recommended.

Just stopped for a drink and quick bite to eat. Couldn’t fault the food, absolutely delicious!! Fast service and very friendly staff too. Luckily managed to grab a table outside for a drink in the sunshine after. Will definitely be back!

We were only here for drinks, but the food looked lovely. Seemed to charge the general level of St.Ives prices (I.e. dear for a Yorkshireman) but to sit and eat looking over that harbour has to carry a premium.

Amazing views , great food and lovely staff. Spotlessly clean and great atmosphere. Lovely restaurant. Food delicious and came out quickly . Filter coffee was nice and hot unlike some places where it comes out like warm . Prices reasonable. Nothing negative to say. Staff smiling and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit !

Good Stop for takeaways Beer & cocktails

10/10 and 5 Stars! We had most of the small plates to share and it was all amazing, can't wait to go back next year.

We visited here during a busy rare sunny day, sadly they don’t serve any coffee. However the food that was being served to other customers smelt and looked amazing. If a coffee option was available we would have stayed and eaten, not everyone wants alcohol at lunch time. I wanted to leave feedback around this purely as a suggestion hence the 4/5

excellent fresh seafood tapas! The crab fries were amazing, very good flatbread and Lebanese hummus , we enjoyed the Lebanese spiced lamb!

Incredible meal! We started with the hummus and vegetable crisps and then the katsu chicken and the spiced lamb. Everything exploded with flavor. Absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and attentive and yet almost unnoticed. Perfect!

Best place for food in town... really impressed

Visited approximately 8.15pm for something to eat only because preferred places were fully booked. It was very quiet indeed, due to being hungry decided to chance it. The burger was absolutely tasteless in fact I would say disgusting, leaving half of it, when waiter came to take away plates he asked if we enjoyed food to which I informed him that I thought the food was extremely bland and the actual burger had fallen apart. He just walked away with plates and left food. Would not recommend this to anyone

Having spent ages looking for somewhere to eat with a view, we almost missed the entrance - but glad we didn’t. Exceptional food, great views, lovely staff - well worth a visit.

Worth checking out if you are in St Ives. Only found it using Google maps. The high review score caught my eye. The food is top drawer and you can tell it is prepared with love. The staff are excellent and there is a nice atmosphere. I had Lebanese spiced lamb. It was superb! My partner had Katsu chicken, which was equally good. I overheard a customer grumbling about the 10% service charge, which is automatically added to your bill. I see both sides on this; for me, it should be left to the customer. That aside there is nothing not to like. The draught beer called Slipway was excellent too.

Food was lovely, light ,fresh, different and made such a change from the pasties and fish and chips available everywhere. Would definitely recommend it, but think tapas size rather then main meal size and you won't go wrong. We absolutely loved it.

Small, cosy and stylish restaurant on the harbour front. The food is fresh, delicious and obviously prepared with care. We really enjoyed our meal here - trying new flavours and dishes. The staff are warm and friendly and I would highly recommend a visit! Tip... book in advance if you can.

This little restaurant is located at the end of the Wharf at St. ives. It has a lovely view overlooking the harbour just metres in front, with a cosy interior with light beech wood furniture and pastel walls that make's the small space feel open. The menu has a very small but varied selection suitable for every foodie, we opted for the following dishes; Singapore crab fries, Furikake fries. Baba ganoush, Massaman flatbread, Crispy cavolo nero, and Lebanese spiced lamb. Everything was EXECEPTIONAL, amazing ingredients cooked perfectly with layers of flavours on each dish, truly mouth-watering food. I expect everything on the menu is amazing and I would love to try more. We paired the food with a nice bottle of Rosé and ate every single morsel. The staff were great and knowledgeable. Will visit again next time I'm down this psrt of the world.

Incredible food and service beats many Michelin star restaurants I have visited - behind the sea side cafe exterior hides the diamond of st Ives an ABSOLUTE MUST!!!

Only place at this end of the harbour that does take away drinks. Crazy that no one else does, it’s like throwing money away. Edit - still lovely. Prices are decent, be warned if you have little kids they don’t sell normal coke which can matter for the fussy monsters. I thought the coke was great, tasted like cola bottle sweets, not so good for the 14 year old with the taste buds of an angry food critic.

We can't wait to return! Whenever we have baby sitters we always think about trying new places. But never do. Because why would you go anywhere else. The food is perfect and the cocktails are awesome.

A nice small bar/restaurant, on a great location by the sea, with lovely staff and excellent drinks & food. Do not miss the coconut sorbet, the sardines and the Limoncello Spritz.

£10 for a salad !!! 2 bits of anchovy 2 bits of croutons,, wow !!! Ok food was freshly prepared and presented lovely but a child’s portion for £10 . Definitely paying for the view

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The fish curry is simply divine, we mopped it up with the n’duja flatbread. It’s not often that halloumi is done with so much flavour, also a must try! To top it off the desserts and cocktails are pretty special. We’ve already booked to go back!

What a fantastic dining experience! Stopped in for lunch on the spur of the moment and had one of those rare WOW experiences; awesome food, friendly, helpful staff all set overlooking St Ives Harbour. Magical, thoroughly recommend.

Possibly the nicest meal we have ever eaten

It is a tapas place, interesting dishes, but small and for 15£ per small plate - it is steep even for St. Yves. One needs to order 3 plates per adult, then with no drinks the bill will be 45£ plus 10% gratuity no questions asked… Not a casual friendly dining spot. High end prices for average outcome.

Very expensive - one adult and two children - £80 for not alot - deconstructed fish curry, two portions of chicken and flatbreads. Had to pay for bread to go with the hummus. I like high quality and happy to pay for it, but felt a little short changed on this occasion.

Sat outside at a small table. Perfectly positioned at the quiet end of the harbour. Service was excellent. We really enjoyed the Chardonnay. Excellent flat bread, crab fries and halloumi. They also serve draught local beer.

The dishes are delicious but the service was very long, too long. The portions are a little small for the price... But that's a change from fish and chips.

Love this place! Second time we’ve been in the last year, the food is excellent and the cocktails are fab. Silco staff were very on hand and accommodating for our group. Would 100% recommend the fish curry and the lentil fritters 👌

Incredible food in a stylish and modern atmosphere! A simple yet sophisticated menu, we went for the humus, crisp bread, Moroccan lamb, Katsu chicken and fries with truffle and Parmesan. Everything was absolutely delicious and served pretty quickly with a smile. Literally right on the seafront with a very small beach right next to it. Just the most idyllic setting. Highly recommend if you’re in St Ives.

Food was superb, the spicy crab fries and the Lebanese spiced lamb really stood out for me. Service was very friendly and efficient but not in your face. As I only live up the road we will definitely be back.

We dropped in without booking and were lucky to get a table for two. The service was efficient and friendly without being over-attentive. The food was the star, with an unusual range of drinks - (Silco is a drinks company first). Very tasty! Lovely view across the harbour too. Tables are close together so expect to hear other's conversations... Not the cheapest but good value.

It’s much smaller than I thought it would be, it’s in a great place with a great view of the harbour. The food and service were fantastic and is was very reasonably priced!

Visited today- our party consisted of a picky, hard to please husband, a vegetarian wife, 2 teens and a 4 year old. The resounding conclusion was it was the best food we've ever had. The fish curry was a particular hit and the lentil fritters were amazing. One of the teens tried the lentil fritters which is high praise. Lovely service and reaction when we gave them our opinions on the food. Already planning on when the hubby and I can go back alone to try more items!

A really lovely spot in st ives. We stopped for a couple of drinks and snacks. The drinks were really lovely, as was the food. The staff were really friendly too, I'll definitely be recommending Silco to friends.

Beautiful food. Best houmus I’ve ever had. Fish was delicate and full of flavour. Go and dine, even if for a light lunch. You won’t be disappointed. Flatbreads are essential with any meal.

Delicious food. Beautiful setting. Wonderful, friendly service. They are excellent with allergies and catered for our daughter who has multiple allergies so kindly and diligently. We felt so reassured it was safe for her to eat.

My first time in St Ives, and it definitely won’t be the last. We tried a few highly-rated restaurants during our stay, but Silco was the most memorable! The food was superb! The flatbread and hummus were amazing, but our absolute favorite was the Fish Curry. We’ve had multiple curries before, but this one was so packed with flavor that we kept mentioning it even after our visit. The place is dog-friendly, and the staff is super nice as well. I would highly recommend Silco; the high ratings are absolutely deserved. We paid about £60 each, but it was worth every penny! We will definitely pay another visit once we’re back!

Popped in for a pint on one of the hottest days in May, super St Ives Brewery beers on draught were just what was needed!!! We didn't eat but the menu looked amazing and although the menu was small it looked fresh and really well cooked!

Amazing location for a restaurant - view over the marina is stunning in the evening. Despite having not booked, the staff tried their best to get us a table and phoned when one was available. The food and wine were beautiful and very good value. A must go in St Ives!

We had a meal here last night. I would agree with previous reviews and that the food is some of the best we have had when visiting StIves. We will be back for sure to try out the rest of the menu! And came again in the summer. Really the best food in St Ives by far. Cocktails are very good too as is the service. Thank you!

Silco is wonderful- one of our favourite restaurants. Beautiful setting on the harbour, great staff and the most gorgeous sharing platters. We love the fish curry, spiced lamb, lentil fritters, and the seeded flatbread, but there are other lovely dishes as well. For dessert, the banana pain perfume is to die for. As an establishment owned by the St Ives Liquor Company the cocktails are also brilliant. We love Silco!

Absolutely delicious food…very fine and tasted great!!! Be sure to try the flatbread and the banana bread for dessert 🤩 A dream!!! The service is very friendly and absolutely attentive.

Tasty, tasty food and lovely frozen cocktails! I ate the parmesan and truffle fries and an N’duja butter flatbread. Both were delicious, especially the fries. So well cooked and every chip had the flavour on it which is as if each chip was topped individually lol. Flat bread so tasty as well, would definitely like to try more from here. Had the seed flatbread last year and that was immaculate.

Best tapas over excellent gin&tonic and a good draft beer. The ideal plan would be a long lunch sitting in the sun , slowly savouring food and drinks

An absolute culinary delight in a cozy atmosphere - every move was a complete success! Courteous service, open kitchen and delicious food. The fish curry in particular was a poem. The bread surprised us in its preparation - delicious!!! We were thrilled and thoroughly enjoyed our meal!

Truly excellent food on a slightly less busy stretch of the quay around St Ives harbour. Beautiful presentation, each bite packed with flavour. Worth a detour if you are in the area and have a hankering for non-pub fare.
