Balady in Barnet

This spot is fantastic! The food is great and the service is impeccable:) I was wary of even having lunch down leather lane as it was filled with stalls but after tasting a sample of the falafel, I found myself going inside for lunch. The lady explained everything really clearly letting me know what my options were and the price of each one. Honestly fantastic service!

Balady is so busy fulfilling Deliveroo orders their own diners get served as an afterthought. Shawarma meat cold, what should be lovely warm creamy humous served chilled, salad tasteless & attitude leaves a lot to be desired. So many better places in the area, give this one a miss!

This restaurant boasts the finest hummus in town (as reviewed by Giles Coren in The Times). We placed takeaway order from High Barnet branch. Upon collecting the 4 adult meals, we were told they didn’t have hummus. It’s like going to a coffee shop not serving coffee. Surely if they know they are low on the main thing they serve they should make more? Most of the things listed on the menu are with hummus so a bit unsure what they are planning on selling this evening.

Lovely little spot. Food is top notch and there is a variety of options to choose from. Staff is very friendly and welcoming and service is excellent too. Would definitely recommend this place. We will be back again.

The creamiest hummus with baba ganoush, gluten-free falafel & warm hospitality. Wonderful, fresh salads, and pickles. We ordered a few different things to share, and as one of us is gluten-free they bought separate side plates so that we could conserve against contamination.

We recently went to Balady and was so disappointed. The place was not clean. The workers had an attitude and were not polite at all. Food did not taste fresh. We could not eat much of the food. When we complained that was not dealt with properly either and they didn't seem to care. Waste of time and money.

I love the food its great. I have been 4 times and everytime i have to say i just love the food . It is a typical Israeli experiance bless them and thats ok with me . If you want the real thing you will love this . Even the frumest eat there so you bet its good

Been here twice now and had an argument everytime. Rude manager with no customer service skills. Schwarama came in a curry sauce which was weird, my wife had hummous and falafel and thought that the hummous was awful, bland with no flavour. Cannot recommend this place at all.

Not as good as it used to be. The arias was very tasty but it was quite difficult to find the meagre amount of meat in the pita. The Mezze was terrible…basically a plate of shredded cabbage and grated carrot with a bit of aubergine on top. Shame, because it used to be very good.
