Thankfully this dumpster fire of a restaurant has closed, seemingly having the premises repossessed by the landlord, and we can only hope that it's replaced by something half decent.

honestly the worst place not even worth 1 star do not recommend staff and manager are very disrespectful

save your money and do not go to this place!!!! Everything was horrible the food was cold, I found a hair in my daughters dish absolutely ridiculous

Hello everyone I used to work there, but the owner used low-quality food with expired dates, sometimes the oil for frying chips was not changed even once a month, and he doesn't care about cleaning the kitchen and some food without a date Used for months. If you disagree with her, she will eventually fire you and not pay you any salary, and she did not pay my £1,885 salary, and I have sued him in court.

Horrible experience, now I understand the reason why the cafe is not busy while opposite side cafe is always full. I went on Saturday morning at 11:20 am and asked for an earl grey tea and picked egg on toast and my husband same on challa bread. It took 30 minutes to have the tea and 45 minutes for dry, over cooked, burned bread and a little man's hair on my egg. I showed the hair to the lady who served us, and instead of an apology, she said the hair was not there when she served, I have very long hair, and my husband has no hair. I asked her to give us the bill, she took the eggs out of bills, but her attitude was unacceptable and rude. I'm never gonna come back and don't recommend it.

Lovely place to stop for a coffee or lunch. Friendly service, tasty food and baby friendly - they made space for our buggies. Great if you're on a long park walk to stop for shelter and something tasty and warm!

Completely bland chicken 'shawarma ' Poor presentation was not even wrapped properly. Undercooked soggy chips. Not recommended. Especially for the price.

Amazing place. Super helpful staff. Very friendly and willing to accomodate customers needs. I needed a place to work for 1 hr. They gave me a quiet table, internet access. Food was nice, fresh and tasty.

Our favourite place for breakfast after a dog walk. Recommend the Shakshuka and French Toast, but it is all delicious!

The food here is outstanding and always fresh and great coffee aswell, Puria and Ella are great servers and very attentive. Will definitely be back again.

Really nice service and amazing food as always. My favourite is the chicken schnitzel.

We had the chicken shawarma houmous and a schnitzel wrap. Everything was overcooked to the point of being burnt. Chips rock solid and blackened, shawarma black with a burnt taste, pitta black and crumbled to the touch. Took 40 mins to arrive too and they were not even that busy. We didn't finish our meals and when we mentioned the food was overcooked we got a mumbled apology and then they handed us the bill to pay. Used to love stopping here when we passed by, but never again.

Tried this place for the first time; was dissatisfied. Service was extremely slow - ordered a chicken schnitzel ciabatta which took roughly 45mins to arrive - waitress was shocked after 30mins our food hadn’t arrived - had to follow up again by going inside. Asked for water 3 times before arriving. My chicken schnitzel cutlet took up about 60% of the ciabatta therefore a lot of mouthfuls were breading. My partner had a steak wrap which she enjoyed (my experience was a 1 star, but upticked to 2 stars to account for this). Waitress and chef both apologised but they still added service charge to my bill, so wasn’t a case of being unaware just unwillingness to care about my experience. Never returning.

I have just had the best chicken shawarma wrap I have ever eaten in my life here. It tasted exactly like the chicken my mum used to make on Friday night. I will be coming back here far more often now. Love this place. Apparently the recipe for the chicken in the shawarma wrap came from the original owners home made Israeli recipe. So good .

£5 pounds for a Mocca ??? Ridiculous price.

Nice cafe to go to after walking long the brook. Tasty Levantine style salads, great humous. Outside tables feel a bit exposed to the road but unavoidable due to location.

Recently under New Management and atmosphere very different! Fast service and very clean premises which will apparently be refurbished soon! New pasta dishes and pizzas on the menu and very helpful staff.They deserve to do well!

The food was delicious but found a hair in my fries the service was not very welcoming straight up when I came in they said "what do you want" in a rude way.

Per pranzo una specialità di pollo speziato croccante, verdure a tocchetti e patate al forno con salsa di ceci. Ambiente informale, servizio veloce e il cameriere Danilo cordiale e efficiente. Waiter with the ponytail had snot dripping from his nose. Kept wiping away with his hand and immediately serving the next customer.

My all time favourite local. I've worked my way through the menu and it's all gorgeous, fresh and homemade. Best shakshuka of all time and huge fluffy pitta, portions are so generous I struggle to finish a meal. Friendly and helpful team.

Lovely lunch. I found it hard to decide as there were a lot of choice on the menu. I settled on the loaded aubergine with minced beef and hubby had the shawarma plate. Both very good.

If I could give this place more stars I would! It's a rare and true culinary gem. The food is consistently delicious, always fresh, top quality, home made breads, I mean, seriously. Staff is friendly always. As close to perfect as can be.

it was a nice sunny day, so a few friends said let's go to Michael's for lunch we managed to get a seat outside, we all ordered our drinks and food which came out in a reasonable time, all was good with nice friendly staff

We went here for Mother's Day with our daughter and her 2 grown up daughters so we were 3 generations. What a lovey meal we all had, they were very busy but that was to be expected, very large menu with plenty of choice, something to suit all tastes. We had 2vchicken and avocado 🥑 salad, lentil salad with a potion of grilled salmon chicken shwarma and chicken schnitzel. They were all huge portions and very tasty, all freshly cooked with lovely salad and dressing, and the chips were nice and crispy. Hubby had homemade apple strudel and custard which looked and tasted fab. Not badly priced at £110 for 5 of us, we were all very pleasantly full when we left. We will definitely return with friends in the very near future

As always, a fantastic lunch, thoroughly enjoyed by 3 generations of the family. Michaels is our absolute go-to place for brunch or lunch and it never lets us down. Highly highly recommended. Especially the Shakshuka (if you like spicy, ask for and if their incredible zchug on the side), the Salads, Falafel wraps, any of the Hummus dishes, the Loaded Aubergine.... actually, I've never had a bad meal there! My only hesitation in encouraging everyone to eat there, is the risk I won't be able to get a table next time!

Stopped for coffee. Asked for extra hot, it wasn't, which was a shame. Nice atmosphere and pleasant service.

We always enjoy eating or having coffees in this place. It was quite busy lunchtime on Tuesday. The menu is varied and some items are freshly baked as you sit at yor table. Their pita bread is exceptionally good. Always enjoy the cappucino too.

This is our favourite local café. Wife and I and our little boy always enjoy the friendly and warm welcoming from Michael. He's always very friendly and the food is always super fresh. Recently he started to make his own sourdough bread which is just as delicious as the rest of his food. Our recommendation is the Shakshuka dish which you can order in a variety of flavours / styles. All in all I highly recommend Michael's for families or even a chilled and relaxed date.

I've been here several times and I just love it. Can't stop going back! The staff are amazing, very friendly and accommodating. The food... just wow ! I've had Shakshuka Halloumi salad with mushrooms avocado Falafel wrap Sharwama plate Chicken schnitzel And I love them all I can never decide what to have. The portions are huge so although pricey well worth it! The desserts and coffees are also really good although often don't have the space for it! Highly recommend it but it's very busy summer time

Este es el peor restaurante que hemos visitado en el norte de Londres. El personal era extremadamente grosero, inútil y vago. La comida es cara y mal presentada. El ambiente del lugar es decididamente antipático. Incluso si Vero's al otro lado de la calle está cerrado, evítelo a toda costa.

Entramos y nos ofrecieron el lugar para sentarnos de inmediato, que fue el único gesto agradable. Llamé al camarero dos veces y él podría haberme dicho amablemente que esperara, pero respondió con mucha arrogancia y me pidió que esperara. Luego, otro camarero que vino a tomar nuestro pedido, le hice algunas preguntas relacionadas con la comida que supongo que lo enojaron y también explicó de manera muy grosera. Es la forma en que respondió el joven cuando no pude entenderlo. Mi hijo de 8 años dijo "mamá, el personal aquí es tan grosero, ¡vamos de aquí"! ¡Tomamos un autobús desde Mill Hill solo para enfrentar las actitudes desagradables del personal! Solo tomamos bebidas y papas fritas y salimos del café. Tuvimos una experiencia increíble en el café vero enfrente de ellos y fuimos bienvenidos. La comida puede ser buena, pero creo que el personal era muy arrogante y grosero. ¡Agregaron una cantidad de gratitud a mi factura y ni siquiera la merecían! ¡No recomendaría este lugar si vas con niños!

Pleasant as always. More outside tables and well spaced inside. Waiters wore masks. Usual menu, i.e. nothing removed as in a lot of restaurants. Very enjoyable lunch.

Food okay. Very noisy, not helped by staff flinging tables and chairs about in as much of a clatter as possible, ignoring diners who are trying to have conversation. One of our party continually battered by passing wait staff, as too many tables and chairs for the available space. Complaints met with unhelpful comments.

Delicious food but for some reason, we always have an issue with the bill! And when we bring it up, there is always a situation and I t can never be dealt with reasonably. The pricing should be absolutely clear at the point of ordering. Very strange! But the food is great!

Popped in for a coffee and to do some work,... then i looked at the excellent menu and ended up eating an amazingly good omelette (just perfectly cooked) with large portion of fresh and interesting salad on the side. Blisteringly fast wi-fi means I am still here, catching up on work emails and contemplating which coffee to have next! Really nice place and firmly recommended.

Often passed Michaels and wondered what it was like. Well the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Great value imo. Give it a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Great chef and great breakfast!! Ordered the classic english breakfest abd the sausege was great, the eggs were just like i like them and the hash browns were with a bit to much onions in my taste. The hot chocolate lacked a bit of milk but the over all experience was great!

I love this cute little cafe/restaurant in Sussex ring. The food is delicious and traditionally Israeli, owned by a lovely Israel guy Michael and I can recommend the shakshuka highly it’s better than Israel!

Michael's is a warm and friendly place. The food is cooked fresh and always well presented. Great for just coffee with friends as well lunch and more.

A Suburb eatery which is nothing grand but it is comfortable with a good snacks type of menu. Clean and well cooked. It is what it is but nothing fancy. We go regularly when we want to grab a bite and don’t want to go to anywhere “grand” Parking is easy

Quieren tener un buen café, disfrutar de un poco de descanso. Y la comida? No mucho tiempo, vaya aquí. No probamos la Shakshuka pero lo probé estaba bien. Para el registro, fuimos un par de veces y esta crítica está basada en las numerosas visitas, pero no sobre la comida. El servicio era bueno (a diferencia de lo que estoy leyendo aquí de otras personas - todo el mundo tiene un mal día, no? ). La ubicación es un bien, no perfecta por todo el tráfico. El servicio es muy bueno, al igual que la comida. El personal es maravilloso y hace todo para usted.

Good options for kids (a rare thing) make this a family favourite.

It was our first visit with friends and we were not disappointed. The food is lovely and the portions are generous. We have been looked after very well, we'll be back definitely.
