Gokyuzu Finchley in Barnet

The dishes are quite expensive related to the portion. The bread was from the supermarket and not made like other Turkish restaurants. The service was friendly and fast Three people we paid 120 Pound

Popped into Gokyuzu prior to going to a football match. The service was very prompt, and we were immediately brought a basket of warm Turkish bread and a bowl of excellent mixed salad, and a dip with cucumber. For my main course I ordered a small Lamb Adana Kebab which when it arrived was still big. The meat was tender and had great flavour, I added some extra hot chilli sauce, this dish came with a side order of rice. I had an Efes beer with my meal. My friend ordered the Sarma Lamb Beyti which was diced Lamb wrapped in what looked like some sort of pastry. He said the sauce was amazing. The waiter then offered us 2 cups of Turkish tea on the house. Great food in a nice atmosphere with great service. Will definitely return.

The restaurant itself is clean and looks fantastic and had the choice to eat up or down stairs. The staff were not the friendliest and could do with some customer service training. Very overpriced and have had better at my local Turkish restaurant. Found the food extremely greasy. The position sizes of meat were great but could definitely give you more rice or chips as your side. Won’t be visiting again.

We’ve been having food delivered from Gokyuzu for years and the food has been consistently good. Today we had a delivery and found the chicken was so rubbery, tough and tasteless we threw it all away. A real shame and a total waste of money. We will now look for another Turkish restaurant that delivers.

I visited Gokyuzu last night to celebrate my wife's birthday, hoping for a memorable evening. Sadly, it turned out to be memorable for all the wrong reasons. Right from the onset, there was an evident lack of warmth as we were met with no greetings, and the staff had grim faces with not a single smile in sight. This cold atmosphere was only the beginning. While the food was passable, the prices were exorbitant, with both the dishes and drinks being exceptionally expensive and not justifying their value. The service, however, was where the real issues lay. Our waiter seemed disinterested and frequently overlooked our table. This was especially evident when it came time to request our bill; the waiter simply dropped it off without offering any directions on the payment method, leaving us to flag down another staff member to proceed with the card payment. The overall inattention and seeming indifference from the staff marred our special occasion. The experience cast a shadow over our celebrations. Given the high costs, the lack of warmth, and subpar service, I would strongly advise potential diners to think twice before choosing this establishment, whether for special occasions or a regular meal.

Amazing customer care and brilliant staff to top up the experience of enjoying lunch in clean, open yet customer focused environment. The food was delicious and staff were always a whisker away to help with anything needed. This is my 4th trip in 2 months after hectic meetings in neighbouring district here and I am compelled to write about consistently high standards on display. Fantastic experience 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I’ve been here many times and was prompted to write a review after seeing some other reviews that did not reflect my experience (ive been here several times). The food is fantastic. If you drive up the high road any evening you can smell the delightful charcoal cooked meat - you can smell it from half a mile away. The dishes are very authentic Turkish cuisine and very well prepared, cooked, and served. We did have a bad waiter once, and they do look to turn around tables quickly during busy periods but which central London restaurant doesn’t? The price is on the higher side but the quality of the food more than merits it. It’s a fantastic culinary experience if meat and flavour is your thing. I probably wouldn’t come to a Turkish restaurant if I was a vegan - like one of the one star reviewers here seemed to do. All in all it’s worth a visit but I would caution you to bring your wallet because if you’re expecting take away kebab prices then you will not be satisfied. The food is more than 5 times the quality and flavour of a normal kebab, and you’ll spend roughly double the price. A great place

Be careful with the payment in this reastaurant because they charge you more than you order, I was there last night for dinner with 2 friends and they charged me double money when I come home I check the receipt and it was double charged, straight away I went there and they said oh sorry we charged you wrong table 85£ + and they refunded me back but there is not first time they do this to me just careful with them, and another thing when I went there most of the times they don’t let us to eat, the writers coming every single minute and ask if you finish and take the plates without asking them to do, and then one time I said to them please don’t come any more in my table if I didn’t call you so I am going to pay service charge and just leave me alone, but after last night I never will be in this restaurant any more

Way overpriced and food was no different to a kebab take away for the amount paid. I’ve had better dinners at other Turkish restaurants for far less and of better quality.
