In Oswestry fopr a couple of nights we were looking for something special. Bakers was on the corner of the street below the Hotel and my husband walked round, liked the look of it and booked us in for Satruday evebning. The days weather was atrocious - snow in the morning and then persistant rain - so I was not surprided when the charming hostess said they had had 24 cancellations ! No to worry though - Bakers was stunning. Great food and perfect service. Bit of a barn but the atmosphere kept us warm, Would like a website - but do go and seek this out

We were one of two tables booked for Friday night which is very surprising. The Scottish waitress was excellent.She looked after our every need & was so polite & friendly. The food as per usual was delicious & well presented. I can't understand why more people don't eat there.

I absolutely love this restaurant. I had the sirloin medium rare with dauphinois and Tuscan mushrooms and pink peppercorn sauce. Was cooked to perfection, tasty, hot and the sauce wow never tasted anything like it. The dauphinois is a mix of sweet and white potato, out of this world. This is the place to go for a gorgeous meal honestly. Heaven! Well done Bakers Brasserie.

We ate at Bakers for the second time as a group of colleagues, we've tried other eateries in town but after picking bakers for a birthday in April, decided we had found THE place. The service is excellent, the food is always perfect and nothing is ever too much trouble. They cater to very specific dietary requirements too.

We went here for a works night out and had such a great meal, I've booked to go back the following weekend. Table of 13 people, each meal cooked to perfection and service was friendly, relaxed yet still very efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks again :)

Had a lovely meal here tonight celebrating a birthday. Super food, great service, lovely venue and good value. Will come back again soon.

Good service with friendly staff! Meal was best I have had in long time, had the lamb Rump would highly recommend and will definitely be coming here again! Worth coming from Telford for.

This was thrid time we have tried this restaurant, hoping that it might have improved. Certainly, the location (2 minutes walk for us), the decor and the service are great. However, it's all let down by the poor quality food served. Or maybe quality is the wrong qord - the ingredients may be fine, but we've had awful sauces, uncooked pork crackling (still skin) and this time tried the tempura battered cod. It was tasteless and vaguely dry. The crushed, minted peas looked like something my cat once deposited on a floor and tasted dry and vastly over minty. The chips weren't bad, but I don't pay nearly £20 for a plate of chips.

Six friends enjoyed their meals & no complaints from anyone.Delicious starter & rib eye steak cooked to perfection.Triple cooked chips are to die for. £15.99 for 2 courses, very good value. Will certainly be having another meal here soon

I have eaten at this place many times but this was my first visit since the renaming to Bakers. I cannot deny I was a little cold but I should have explained this to the waiting staff because they could have brought my friend and I a heater! The food however, was the best I have ever tasted, it was so full of beautiful flavours. I had the garlic mushrooms with stilton brushetta for starters, cajun chicken for mains and a brownie for dessert. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Surprising for young waiting staff, they were most pleasant and genuine. That doesn't happen much these days. Congratulations Bakers, good job.

Lovely setting to enjoy great food and drink. Staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Food tastes great. Highly recommended.

We visited Baker’s Brasserie as a family of 4 and loved every mouthful, from the warm bread rolls on arrival through to desserts, coffees and liqueurs before leaving. We each loved our food choices, a mixture of early bird and a la Carte, all washed down by a variety of drinks. Many thanks for a lovely time. We will be back after Christmas!!

The meal was superb and the atmosphere very Christmassy due to the beautiful decorations. We all enjoyed our annual celebatory Dinner with excellent waitress service and saw many friends there too.Food was cooked to a high standard and our friends from the nearby hairdressers also were there which was a pleasant surprise.. There was a good stock of wines and spirits to make the overall experience very special.

Been to Bakers Brasserie twice now. The first visit was a standard evening meal, eaten off the early bird menu and was totally fabulous. The steak was the best I’ve eaten in a very long time. So we were looking forward to a Xmas party we’d been invited to, but what a difference. The food was still tasty and hot but the portions were strangely disproportionate. The chicken breast was enormous, but the sea bass was a small single fillet bulked out with potato. Such a disappointment for the price. On both occasions the staff were lovely and the service attentive. As highlighted by a previous reviewer it is not particularly warm in there and we also left ASAP to find somewhere warmer for a drink.

Staff friendly and attentive. 3 course Christmas dinner was very tasty but slightly overpriced. The restaurant was so cold we couldn't get comfortsble and relax which was a great shame. We didn't stay long after our meal. Moved onto a much warmer drinking hole. Date of visit: December 2018

We ordered from the Early bird menu-3 courses for £17.99.I had a most delicious salmon starter, very tasty & cooked to perfection rib eye steak with super triple cooked chips, brilliant brownie for dessert. Service was great.Ouf group will definitely be returning there.

Been here a few times now and it’s amazing every single time! Everything from the bar/waiting on staff to the interior of the place! The food is so delicious and so well presented plus the early bird menu is such a good deal! On my last visit here with my parents, my dad said after devouring his steak for main and sticky toffee pudding for dessert “a good chef will always leave you wanting more” and it’s so true for bakers, that’s why we keep coming back!! :-)

Been here on a couple of occasions, food is always brilliant, steaks cooked to perfection. Service was very good all the girls were very attentive and bubbly made us feel welcome. Definitely will be returning.

Came for a meal with my partner and can’t rate the place highly enough.

I visited here with my partner as a last minute decision, and even though they were busy they made us feel so welcome and like it was no problem at all that we had booked last minute! They catered our every need amazingly and professionally. We weren't waiting long for anything at all, super efficient. Our meals were just outstanding, the best food around I'd say without a doubt! The staff were perfect in every way. Highly recommend!!!

Had the best meal here! Definitely one of the best places to eat in Oswestry. Had the tuna and it was incredible! Amazing food for a good price! Will 100% visit again. Service was really good and the atmosphere is so lovely in there.

Shocking, the meal was booked months in advance, meals were wrongly given to people, waiting over an hour for each course, no drinks offered in between the service was awful plates not cleared. Meal was dry and clearly rushed.

Amazing food and friendly staff, amazing prices, would visit again and recommend to others to visit :)

I haven’t been here for a while (used to be brooks) and was intrigued that it’s under new management but it’s just as good as when it was brooks.

Beautiful food had steak and garlic cheesy bread and triple cooked chips. Would visit there again and again if as good as that meal, highly recommended

Came in with a few friends, and it was so scrummy the duck was to die for 😍 will definitely be returning, great little place, probably friendly staff with a very warm welcome and great value for money 💰

Visit with friends but were disappointed. Service was very slow. Chicken sizzlers were stir fried veg with sliced chicken on the side. The duck came with a huge pile of mashed potato but hardly any vegetables. The sea bass was just one fillet not a full sea bass. The place really needs someone in charge at front of house. On a plus...the bread rolls were lovely..though we had to ask for the butter!!!! The decor is very pleasant but the ladies toilet doors did not lock. Such a shame.

The quality has gone right down since changing to Bakers Brasserie.There was a group of us for a special occasion.
