Bake in New Forest

Visited here twice recently with my sister & dog. Was very impressed with the friendly, smiley staff; coffee, hot chocolate & cakes were all lovely & my Pug really enjoyed his dog treats! A little gem in New Milton that I would very much recommend.

Avoid the place like the plague. We’re sat have a chat and coffee when my female companion (a regular customer or was) was verbally attacked making claims she was in the way and had rearranged the furniture. Bearing in mind we had been in there for well over a hour reducing her to tears in front of a cafe full of customers. One customer was so disgusted he went to the counter and confronted the man. What makes the whole thing worse was this man was the owner. At least eight customers lost going to local press.

The prices are absurd £22 for mediocre toasties and two drinks. Everything else was sort of ok, not the most welcomed by girl at the counter who didn't know much perhaps she is learning so no big deal . the boy behind the counter was very informative and had good product acknowledgement . Unforuntly due to the prices we won't be returning .

Really friendly, great coffee. Always visit when I’m in New Milton! Loads of room,comfortable chairs, wheelchairs and prams have lots of space.

Visited yesterday along with my dog. Such a friendly welcome. My coffee and croissant was brought over to my table, along with a bowl of water for my dog and some treats. Nice cosy chairs and lovely coffee.

Very welcoming and lovely and clean.Ordered two coffees and just one sandwich as we weren’t very hungry but the food looked great. Girl confirmed order and asked if we were sharing the sandwich .The coffee came quickly and then the sandwich was split and served on two plates with shared crisps and greenery ! Very nice touch and made me do this to say how good the service was!

Since new ownership this place has improved 10 fold - the family are so friendly and welcoming. Always use to go to the coffee chain nearby but no longer. Coffee is awesome.... and the bacon baguette is sooooo tasty 😂

Have been several times, never disappointed. Lovely food and great coffee. Especially their iced coffee, much stronger than a local well-known chain coffee shop just up the road!! Would recommend bake any time!

Absolutely love this place wouldn’t go anywhere else for my coffee. My friends and I always go in here. Staff brilliant helpful, friendly and always welcoming. Bacon/ sausage baguettes yummy and coffee brilliant best place in New Milton so pop in if you are passing. Doggies welcome.

We visited New Milton in January and went into Bake after having been turned away from 3 other coffee shops because we had dogs. The staff welcomed us all with open arms and looked after the dogs with water and treats. It has a very warm friendly inviting atmosphere and the food was absolutely excellent. We loved it so much we went back the next day taking our friends and their dog. It is under new management and we wish the new owners every success. We look forward to visiting the new forest again and will definitely visit Bake again. Well done

Friendly 3 generation family have recently taken over this cafe. Previous owners appeared very apathetic about the business shutting at odd hours to suit the owners and frequently running out of food. New owners are a breath of fresh air. Friendly , efficient and welcoming. Coffee is good and a good range of snacks, cakes, sandwiches. Bacon baguettes are great! Comfortable seating, newspapers and good atmosphere.

Recently under new management and I must say the service is absolutely great. Along with fabulous coffee and food BAKE has become our coffee shop of choice - in fact the only one we visit, 4 or more days a week, in New Milton. The staff are always courteous and smiling and always find time to chat thereby creating a lovely atmosphere that the numerous regulars and others thoroughly enjoy.

Friendliest coffee shop in New Milton since it changed ownership. Great variety of cakes & sandwiches always available. Always greeted with a welcoming smile.

Been coming here for ages and love the place. So much better now with the refurbishment more room to sit and toilets more accessible. Dog friendly and just a warm cosy place to enjoy a break when shopping. Staff are friendly and the food delicious.

Had a lovely experience here with my aunt on Sunday. I had a freshly made milkshake and croissant. Service was really good and staff very friendly. Someone even came out after me when I left to hand me my gloves that I forgot. Food was fresh and had a nice atmosphere. Beats any chain coffee shop. Also dog friendly! So nice to sit in the warm with our well behaved dogs. Will be coming here more often.

Great coffee but very slow service and no recognition of this when it at last arrived and on a quiet morning too with 3 staff on!!

Always go to Bake for the best coffee in New Milton, served by delightful friendly staff in a relaxing setting - Perfect!

Title says it all. Rather sullen looking staff. Prices were ok but food underwhelming. Crab sandwich, in supermarket bread with some crisps, which was pre-packed in the chilled counter. I was meeting a friend for lunch and a catch up, she’s local but I will not eat there again.

Afternoon coffee stop for coffees, milkshakes and cakes. Was all lovely and made a change from Costa/Starbucks etc. Friendly staff. Would recommend.

We have 4 dogs and a 1 year old. Never any problem with bringing our horde into the Cafe. Always warm and accomodating. Service is really good. We always take friends and family there. Firm family favourite.

Great coffee shop with much better coffee than the chain coffee shops. The cakes are huge and lovely - I would definitely recommend the coffee and walnut! Staff are great, really friendly and helpful. I love the fact that the tables aren't all crowded together. Well worth a visit when in New Milton. We will definitely be returning.

One of my favourite places to visit. Great coffee (love their lattes) and always treated with a smile and warm welcome. Love the ambience of the cafe itself as very relaxed and welcoming. Really like the decor and layout as well. A great place to either meet friends, or if you fancy having a bit of time to yourself to chill out. Would definitely recommend.

Visited this afternoon and the majority of the tables were covered in dirty crockery and this has been my experience on several other occasions.I politely mentioned that it wasn't a pleasant environment to eat in.Said goodbye when we left and the lady owner stormed out from behind shouting at the top of her voice get out, get out you are barred" I was astonished and tried to explain that the issue was a bad reflection on her business when prospective customers look through the window to see if there are any tables all they see is dirty crockery and uneaten food.This incensed her even more and she told me it's my business what's it got to do with you.I explained it did as I was a customer and she went into a complete frenzy screaming at the top of her voice again get out get out you r banned from here.As I say avoid at all costs unless you want to be spoken to like a pig by an obnoxious, rude owner with no customer service skills whatsoever.

Good quality coffee and deliciously fresh pastries. Comfy chairs and a friendly atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.

I popped in here with my daughter's and we liked it. It could do with the staff being a little more friendly and the prices were a little high. I also with it had more vegan friendly snacks, or at least more veggie ones. Pretty good though! Nice decor and comfortable.

Went here today. Had salted caramel iced latte and a huge piece of coffee walnut cake. My friend had a cup of tea and a blueberry muffin. All delicious and served to us by friendly manager. Seating was comfortable. Mine cost 6 pounds.

We were heading to Costa when this cafe caught our eye and we decided to give it a go. We enjoyed a chocolate milkshake, iced latte and sandwiches, which were promptly made and were tasty but felt the iced latte and toasted sandwich were a tad overpriced. Nevertheless, the decor was great and the staff were friendly. Would be great to see more people filling the seats in this cute cafe. Will come again.

25th June 2018 I have been a regular customer of Bake and up to now have enjoyed the atmosphere listening to Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra music whilst enjoying a coffee and occasionally some cake.

First visit to Bake. First impressions were good regarding the decor and seating. Decided on an Americano and the blackboard advertised “Bacon Baguette”.

The chocolate and mint marble cake was amazing. Better than any cake I’ve had. The cafe is cute and the staff really care.

Went to bake instead of Costa this morning. Was happily surprised that they have expanded and added lots of comfy sofas! Costa had removed any comfortable seating and replaced it with hard angular seats designed to cause pain (as far as I can make out) While bake have made the space relaxed and comfortable. The coffee was really good.

I had a lovely coffee made with soya milk and a toastie. The toastie was unfortunately undercooked which made for warm unmelted cheese as oppposed to hot melted cheese. Service was quick and friendly and I would give it another try for sure.

Very friendly staff. Food is on par with what you get in the other diners along the main street. Milkshake was very good.

We had a nice cup of coffee and a toasted sandwich whilst shopping in the High Street.Whilst we were there there was 2 little dogs inside yapping,which we felt a little disturbing.

Friendly prompt service limited selection of toasties and paninis but what there is arn't just the usual. Only a few tables so may be full at lunchtime

Bake is a great little cafe. Very warm and welcoming, with friendly staff and owners. Food prices are very reasonable and really good coffee.

I popped in to Bake whilst on a shopping trip - lovely and warm inside and very nice gentleman serving. Everything looked so delicious that I decided to have my lunch there instead of just a cup of tea! Pannini (mozzarella & pesto) was delish and a naughty slice of walnut & coffee cake went down well with my tea.

Regularly use this place for a Salted Caramel Latte. The owner is brilliant , he takes the order and brings it over so you feel relaxed and chilled in a generally calm environment. Highly recommend you try this place for a coffee.

Good size drinks in a relaxing environment with friendly owner. Not too big but can sit in or out. Lovely strong coffee with lots of cake choice. Added bonus of flavours for coffees too.

On first impressions this appears a nice little place for lunch.

If you want a really good cup of quality coffee then try Bake in New Milton. Newly opened, attractive decor and all ably managed by Nigel, one of life's nice people. No dearer than run of the mill coffee shops and the tea cakes are not bad either!

From the 1st time I visited Bake I was sold, great range of drinks and NO "SMELLY GREASY SPOON SMELL" Love it and recommend it to anyone!!

It's a shame there are benches (all be they padded) to sit on. You can't really cosey down for a coffee and chat and I certainly couldn't get comfortable. Having said this, the service, food and drink are great. A little over-priced for the area.

We stopped off here with some friends at lunchtime to have a coffee and a sandwich. We all had coffee and 2 of us had toasted cheese and ham sandwiches and 2 had cake. This is a recently refurbished cafe which is family run. The coffee and sandwiches were great, staff were very attentive and the surroundings are very pleasant indeed. Not cheap, but certainly not overpriced. Well worth a visit if you are in New Milton, certainly one of the better places to relax in town. Well done team, we will be back.

Whenever I get the chance, I go into Bake for a coffee. The drinks are of a high quality and there is wonderful range - in fact, I am now trying each, one at a time.

We find that enjoying lovely cappuccinos and tasty cake or sausage rolls, at this recently opened and relaxing coffee shop, is a very pleasant experience, We are warmly welcomed and the cafe is attractively decorated. There is a selection of tasty bites to go with your preferred drink. There are papers to read and the owner is very attentive and courteous. The cafe is situated in New Milton's main shopping street and there is some parking in the road or in a nearby car park, or there is a bus stop and train station quite near.
