We have been here before Middleton Hall & Gardens. The outlets in the court yard are a gem. However Bake180 we decided to get a bit to eat, dirty tables dirty floors, we ordered 2 jacket potatoes 35 mins sitting and waiting, not that we were told there was a waiting time, so I asked about our meal, they knew nothing about it, I spoke to the chef, she basically accused me of not putting in an order for jacket potatoes, made me feel like I was lieing. So I asked for a refund, disgusting service. My recite said change of mind. More like useless service.

We sat in for a little snack. While apologies were given for the wait. The sausage roll we ordered arrived in the bag it had been heated in, not on a plate, and was full of gristle rendering it inedible. A replacement was offered but my husband was understandably put of from the sausage rolls but no refund was given. The cake slices also arrived without plated but on little cheese boards not really suitable for cake. The quality of cake was more store brought than homemade, which surprised us as previously the cakes had been excellent. Our milkshakes arrived in plastic takeaway cups but with paper straws which seemed at odds with each other. Does nobody use glasses anymore? Not sure why we were asked if we were eating in when it apparently made no difference, other than with the price. Overall a disappointing visit, which we won’t be repeating.

Had a trip to Middleton hall and of course half way around the hall our son and daughter decided they were starving so we popped into the little courtyard that has a selection of shops and in the far corner is a lovely little cafe that we have tried before and had enjoyed. We went in there just before lunchtime which was lucky as people were queuing up to get in when we left. My wife and I enjoyed a delicious toastie each, Brie and cranberry for my wife and a hearty hunters chicken for me. Our kids had a kids box which included a sandwich, crisp, chocolate bar and a drink and we all had chips to accompany which being honest were a bit hard/overdone for my liking but apart from that everything was very tasty and piping hot. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

The breakfast (porridge/bacon sandwich) was very nice and you have to eat outside if you have dogs. We came back later for cake (delicious) and this time took them to the picnic benches in front of the hall. It was lovely and quiet as during lunch lots of children had been running around the courtyard/skidding on the gravel. That’s not the fault of the cafe but I wish we’d sat there earlier.

I am a great cream tea lover but their version was one of the worst I have ever had. The scone was dry & crumbly so it fell apart as you cut it. The jam was a tasteless American style jelly jam which was so tiny that it was impossible to spread the most thinnest of layers over the scone pieces. Other cakes looked lovely - I obviously just made the wrong choice.

Myself, sister and my nephew have been for the last 2 years at Christmas to enjoy the Christmas hot chocolates. To our delight this year, the shop wasn’t as busy as 2017 so settled in easily. After putting our orders in we only had around a 10 minute wait which wasn’t too bad. My nephew had his snowman soup which he LOVED making and his child’s lunchbox which had a good variety in too. Sadly both mine and my sisters drinks did not come with the elf on the shelf straw which photos showed it would, it was just the standard straw and my drink was just lukewarm. We ordered food which was delicious- only thing I would suggest is not to put any dressing on salad (some of us don’t like it!) Very pleased with the fact I was able to change bits in my drink as I didn’t want the winter spice syrup so asked for mint and was no issue at all. Staff very lovely and helpful. Can’t wait to see 2019 Christmas drinks!!

This little coffee shop was a lovely find. We had seen photo's of the hot chocolates and decided to take the kids down to Middleton Hall to try them on bank holiday monday. The place was heaving and we had to wait for somewhere to sit, although it is very small anyway, even the courtyard tables had been taken. Its very quaint , the interior sympathetically decorated so that it is in keeping with the outside barn buildings.A lovely place to visit for a coffee or hot chocolate and a cake or something to eat.Service was a little slow, although it was extremely busy, and our 5 drinks came out at different times which was a bit odd. We couldnt all sit together so the two boys sat on a table for two round the corner on their own, though i dont think that bothered them too much.

MORE AT TripAdvisor

Went today, Monday, with the family , the whole site was heaving including the coffee shop, through pure luck, or not, we timed it perfectly as a table was free when we entered, though this table was not cleared or wiped for our whole stay, I had to remove the previous guests plates, all 3,and bits of rubbish, I wouldn't mind but the whole time we were there at a dirty table the young male waiter was constantly passing but was too busy cluelessy shouting spoon numbers to find out who was the recipient of the food he had been parading around, I thought the point of spoons with numbers on was so he could see where he needed to go, either this system is a flawed system or the staff need better training in it.The food... If the setting was not so glorious and beautiful, this would barely rate as a greasy cafe for me, when you strip it down for what it really is, it's just all frills and no knickers, the charm of the surroundings soon wears off. the quality of the ingredients on the breakfast was disappointing, the sausage was very bland and anemic, the bacon was also poor, not helped that they were cooked on a flat bed grill to give it that boils in fat bitty taste for a large breakfast, I expected and needed more beans and mushrooms, very small portions of both, no black pudding or hash browns, it's not a breakfast if there's no black pudding, that's not an opinion, it's just a fact! the toast was bog standard cheap thin bread that came out nearly 3 mins before my breakfast, 3mins might not sound a lot but in food world, it's a lifetime, though it did give me time to try to unpeal and spread the hard cold butter on my now cold toast, love that?! Just butter it when it's hot, I don't really want to deal with greasy buttery fingers fiddling with wrappers and crumbs all over the table, the kids make enough mess thanks, just butter the toast, make the customer aware at point of ordering that you butter it whilst it's hot so they can choose not to have it buttered but I bet you more people would than wouldn't, it's the little things! I'll give credit on the eggs, both perfect, but eggs is eggs... My sister had a panini, she was happy with it, but she like most people doesn't know any better and is appallingly educated when it comes to eating out, what you're really eating and your foods journey to your plate, the panini was clearly a brakes or mkg frozen pre bar marked baguette squashed down, and why the hell on God's green earth you've chosen to put a handful nachos on the plate as a garnish I'll never know? Rustic and homely are not words I'd use to describe the food, it's lazy really, the shop across the courtyard sells Gaytons bread, fresh crusty bread we were recommended this place by friends because they do, and I quote, the best hot chocolate you've ever had or seen, more proof that people are clueless when eating out, a powdery watery mess of a hot chocolate with loads of crap stuffed on the top that you have to eat before getting to the bland brew, if a novelty and wow factor are what you're aiming for then I'm sorry, you're so far off the mark with this dated instagram fad that you should at least make the thing taste nice. fortunately there's not a kick in the Teath at the end with the bill as the price reflects the quality the product Overall, a sad grey boring experience, really need to up your game, we came solely for the purpose of the coffee shop, we won't again

I have been to Bake 180 before when Sarah provided cake decorating courses - the premises has since moved across the courtyard into a spacious, welcoming and friendly café. The counter is inviting with loads of treats and a full and comprehensive menu behind the counter with loads of choice including gluten free bread and cakes available. I had received an email from Bake 180 promoting their new loaded hot chocolates and thought that I would do some college revision with a treat - I ordered the unicorn hot chocolate which tasted like hot strawberry milkshake and it was topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, icing unicorn horn and tonnes of marshmallows. After an hour I decided to have some lunch to keep me going and had a tuna sandwich on gluten free seeded bread with salad and Pom Bears (the gluten free alternative to the tortillas).During my visit there was a party of five adults and six children who had a reservation - the staff dealt with them efficiently and effectively (especially considering everyone had a loaded hot chocolate!) whilst maintaining the service to other customers.I highly recommend this café to everyone due to the staff, food and drink selection and the surroundings of the lovely Middleton Hall.

We were given a voucher for "Tea for Two" as a present, and "Wow" were we in for a lovely treat! My wife and myself really enjoyed the experience!!!! We sat outside in the warm Autumn sunshine and indulged!!!! I had a nice cup of tea, and my wife had a lovely Latte coffee., then the waitress bought us freshly cut sandwiches,(Brown and white bread) salad, tortillo chips,Scones fresh cream, and jam topped with strawberries. all in all supperb!!! Thank you so much!!! Bake 180.Its best to ring and reserve your table for inside seating, (we didnt) as we were unaware of that.point as it was a voucher and no instructions on it to reserve a table, before hand. We did enjoy it all the same on the outside seating in the sunshine and waitress service. Fantastic ***** five star. certainly worth a visit. You will not be dissapointed!!!!! Thank you to our waitress!!! Liz and Derek Wood.(If you are buying vouchers to give as a present make sure you inform them to before hand to reserve a table should you wish to dine inside)

Lovely courtyard cafe with friendly helpful staff quickly serving delicious home made soup, sandwiches, light bites, cakes and hot and cold drinks. We were a group of 20, we had drinks and a variety of sandwiches, soup and cakes after walking round the neighbouring RSPB reserve. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. Open every day too.

Myself and my family visited this establishment after the food fayre at Middleton hall. Whist it was very busy the service was spot on.I ordered the burger and my two children had a kids lunch box meal. The burger was cooked to perfection and served on a plate which is a novelty nowadays as most places now serve on chopping boards. The chips came in a fryer basket however these were soon released from there temporary home and placed on my plate. The staff were extremely friendly and the drinks were delivered to the table not long after we ordered the food so we weren't kept waiting around. The kids enjoyed the sandwiches etc.. The usually stuff you find in a kids lunch box. The prices were reasonable and would not hesitate to return back again. Maybe next time try some of the delicious homemade cakes on display however this visit I simply did not have room and my meal was so satisfying.

Went up to stay with some family who took us for a walk to the RSPB nature reserve around that area and stopped in the coffee shop after for some lunch. Initially the walkway to the courtyard was shut so we were dubious. But when we found our way in, we were pleasantly surprised. This place is amazing! Their menu was extensive but all fresh to order! I had a southern fried chicken burger and chips for £4.95! I was wondering how small it would come out at that price but was pleased to see a full size burger and a decent portion of chips! Other party members had cake, which was wonderful and really fresh! The staff were fantastic, the place is rustic in design and a really great coffee shop. If you are in the area, this place is an absolute must after a lovely walk around the surrounding countryside. QUALITY!

Right next to Kingsbury Water Park - go for a long walk and have breakfast or lunch at the Coffee Shop. Plenty of seating in the courtyard which is great on warm. sunny days

The menu is pretty broad for a small coffee shop which is situated in a very pretty location in a sunny courtyard. Within the Middleton Hall complex and a stone's throw from the RSPB Middleton Reserve it's a great location and the food is good!Given that the staff could be a bit more welcoming frankly and their inexperience shows rather...so a bit of training would help.Excellent toasties, well presented BUT honestly no napkins!!!!??? Please!!!!! Also their Earl Grey tea is the worst I've ever tasted. Try Janners...Apart from that it's got the makings of a very good business assuming it just sharpens up a tad.

We arrived here after a long walk around the nearby country park and RSPB reserve, so were in need of a decent drink and quality cake. Our order was taken by a very friendly and efficient young woman and delivered to our table outside in the delightful courtyard area where we enjoyed pleasant February sunshine. The cakes are homemade and delicious, the coffee good and the tea made to the desired strength. Top service, top refreshments!

Saw the offer on Facebook for 2 Valentine's breakfasts fir £14, so decided to give it a try - wise choice, started with orange juice and a teacup full of sliced fruit to share - apple, pineapple, strawberry peach, then choice from waffles, pancakes, full English or any of the choice if breakfast rolls. We chose the full Englush, really nice and swapped beans for hash brown, not many places offer a swap! Then choice of drinks, we sampled the Valentine specials of hot chocolate with chili flakes and pink hot chocolate, served in glass ham jars, lovely! Definitely be going back there

Visited on the TripAdvisor recommendations but it fell slightly short of expectations. The food was OK and obviously cooked individually, as it took some time to arrive, but a friend had chips missing from his order. This was eventually rectified to his satisfaction but it shouldn’t have happened. My feeling was, looking at the contented faces of the other diners is that our meals may have over-stretched the kitchen for a while. It has intrigued us enough, however, to want to return when Middleton Hall is open and we’ll have paninis or some of the other goodies which were on offer. There are specials each day, one of which is soup and sandwiches for £4, so we’ll check those out carefully on our return.

We visited Bake180 on a Sunday lunchtime. The cafe based in Middleton Hall Courtyard is based both inside and outside, and the inside area is quite small, bit we found no difficulty finding a seat.Food on offer includes sandwiches, hot meals, soup, panini, cake and various drinks. The food is very nice and well priced with a main costing under £5.I think they could improve the way they find the tables when bringing your food. Currently they give you a numbered spoon, but they have to then find you or the spoon when delivering the food. If the tables were numbered, even with the same spoon, then the customer could tell the staff which take they were at when they order. This would mean the staff know exactly where your are sitting without searching.Overall, great meal at a great price. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

We called here on a Monday morning. The other shops in this Courtyard don't open on a Monday but we were here to visit the RSPB Middleton Lakes. The coffee was ok but the cherry scone that we ordered was spoilt by being heated in the microwave. So much so that the butter melted straight into it, like hot buttered toast. Maybe the scone was stale and they heated it so much as to disguise it's staleness? We won't be back.

Favourite second hand bookstore, affordable coffee and food in the cafe and gluten and dairy free options too! I am here as regularly as I possibly can to be amongst the history of it all. Every time I see something new!
