Besssssssst food in Glasgow! Fish and chips were insane and the Mac and cheese with chicken and chorizo was incredible. Not one to get Mac and cheese in a restaurant but this has changed my mind. Couldn’t recommend enough for an affordable, delicious meal. All staff were lovely, food out quick and we were well looked after. Thanks all! <3

I love this pub; great clientele, music, staff and atmosphere. Big shout out for the food, it was fantastic. We visited before going on to Kelvingrove bandstand, and ordered a few plates to keep us going. The BEST onion rings I’ve ever tasted, big fat home made chips, great pakora! Everything we ordered was 10/10, really really great pub food.

Fantastic pub that we came across on a partick pub crawl. Brilliant atmosphere with some cracking live music and great food and drinks selections 🎸🎺🍻🥃

Was taken here by a mate as I will be getting a flat here in may so he was showing me around the local area. We went in for a bite to eat and a few beers, I had the chicken and haggis pie with the mustard sauce, outstanding and reasonably priced. This will definitely be a new hotspot for me for when the wife and kids come to visit at weekends etc, brilliant.

Once again superb food. Great place for gf food and very switched on staff. Have been several times and on every occasion the effort is fantastic.

This place is an absolute joke, they have no respect for patrons and believe its OK to speak to you like your nothing, management don't care and bouncers think their gods gift to the world, save your money and go somewhere were you will be respected as a customer

Had dinner and drinks here last night and it was great. Options for veggies, great food and great service from a lovely team. Would recommend.

Used to love this place. But I’m done with it now food has each time left me leaving unwell and tasteless. And of late the attitude of certain staff is a bit off. I’d maybe avoid the veggie breakfast if you do go. If it was veggie sausages they were definitely not cooked. The price you pay the portions are awful

£5.65 for a pint of Heverlee? I don’t think so. Better pubs round this area charge less for better beers. Plenty of great pubs on Dumbarton Road. This isn’t one of them.

We have been semi-regulars in here since it opened and it is the love of our life.. We love the Bag, a jumping place with a vibe which is there, even on a quiet afternoon it is there, it just has a "feel" about it. The music is brilliant from early Beatles to Tame Impala via The Undertones and Pavement. The staff are lovely and the burgers are outstanding while the pizzas and other dishes are also excellent. The only minor criticism would be that the staff sometimes, and I stress the sometimes, get too involved in chatting to each other to the detriment of service. It is kinda like being an outsider at a private function. And those apparently in charge of the staff are equally involved. I stress this is only occasional and it would not, and does not, stop us from going there.

Nice bar in the heart of the West End - lots of choice on tap or bottled, with a good vibe and plenty of space. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and served as a good starting point for an evening out

Came in on an afternoon for some lunch and a pint. The food was bangin (wee plates, especially corn ribs were excellent) and a decent price. They even had a high chair for our wee one and were very accommodating for a young family. Special shout out to Fran who made sure we were comfortable and got our food quickly!

Couple of days in Glasgow pick up the daughter, so free day, spot of window shopping, tried to have a pint on Dumbarton Road first pub would not even give me a pint to have outside, walked on Bag o Nails sign says Dog friendly, not only a cracking crisp pint but a bowl of water for Molly, staff could have done no more, stayed for food, and molly even got a top up of water, Food was excellent , best service Dog Friendly place I have come across so Far 👍👍

I visited bag o nails saturday the 20th of may during a busy time of the night. I went in for a few pints, despite it being very busy I was serviced fast, and even had a good, fulfilling conversation with a bartender behind the bar about where my drink of choice originated from and facts about it. Was intresting to know. All other staff were smiling and looked happy to do their job. Music choices were excellent but it could be turned down a tad (hardly an issue for talking with my friend though could still hear everythint perfectly) not something that would prevent me or my friend from going back though. I highly recommend this place as it’s very affordable, great staff, and great music and also has a very clean aesthetic around it, looks very well looked after. Will 100% be returning and will also be telling my friends about my experience.

I have visited several times in last few months, superb gluten free menu. Staff are brilliant every time. Quick service and the food is immense. Best burger ever, brilliant gf bun an all so tasty. Only glitch, your ketchup is rotten!

The staff here were really friendly and attentive when me and my partner visited for a couple of drinks. We got served by Lauryn who is one of the managers, she explained to us some of the drinks they sell and even give recommendations to her favourites. For this being the west end the prices here are really good and affordable. They also play really good music! Would definitely recommend.
