Ordered the platter for two and lebanese bread on uber. Food was full of flavour! Lamb mandi pulls away with a touch and melts in your mouth. Half chicken packed with flavour, mixed shawarma was quality and the fries too. Lebanese bread and side salad went perfectly with the meal. Highly recommend.

I visit different restaurants regularly. This one is the worst restaurant I have ever visited in my life from all countries that I have lived or travelled to. If you like hard meet that can break your teeth without taste then it's place for you. Service was OK, but serving this food intentionally is disgusting.

There are a lot of strange and delicious things

The wings and Hummous were good and I could not fault this. However when we ordered the mix grill we found the smell and the meat off putting. It had an unusual foul smell. When we informed the waiter then the manager as he had come over. He explained that only we complained about the food and no one else did. I told him it was inedible he said ok but I will charge you. Later he implied that we wanted free food even though we did not eat the mix grill. The manager was very rude and seemed to lose a sense of customer service. At this time there was a small commotion with words exchanged. The manager did offer us a refund after arguing with us for several minutes. But we declined any refund. We simply wanted to inform the manager that the food (mains)was appalling. The one in ladypool road is on a different level with food and service. It wasn’t a memorable experience. I did have photos but unfortunately can’t seem to find them. I will certainly not be visiting here again.

Shat a big mistake this was. This food taste like it has been sitting there for a while and just microwaved for a take away. Disgusting practice

I recently made order for delivery and spoke with Ahmed, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! The food arrived promptly and was still hot and fresh. Each dish was perfectly packaged to maintain its quality during transit. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients were evident in every bite. I appreciate the care they took to ensure everything was just right. I will definitely be ordering again.

Honestly I ended up here randomly. Had heard good things but turns out this isn't that Bader Restaurant I was after. The ambience was good. But the waiter seemed so busy considering there were only two tables occupied! Service was fairly quick but the food was a disappointment. Neither of us could finish the dishes we ordered. The shwarama plate was especially dry and the flat bread with it was hard as a pappadom! Lamb shank was also underwhelming. Quite pricey for the dishes too!

We came here for a family Eid dinner and had the large platter with a bunch of meats, rice and starters. The food was delicious, the meat was charcoal grilled. Hummus and babaganoush was the best I’ve tasted in Birmingham. Really great price considering the portion, we had a lot of left overs! The staff were friendly and the service was incredibly quick even though it was busy.

The food here was pretty good. The menu was (Palmayra) not Badar. The service was really slow even though it wasn’t very busy. They had sold out of the special tea we had ordered and instead gave us something different and then charged it to the bill. The napkins they gave us was dirty too. Maybe won’t be visiting again.

I've been going to Al Bader now for the best part of 15 years, and this is my first review 😅 This is a Lebanese establishment unlike any other. The quality of food and service is always consistent and excellent. The decor sets the tone for a true Middle East dining experience...10/10 every time..!!

Food was nasty, and the waiter was not helpful and rude

Food was really nice. Wasn't a fan of the Pitta Bread provided with the Hummus, Im a fan of proper Turkish Bread with that as a starter. However will say that the food was great!!

I came to order hummus as takeout but the guy at the till was sooo rude. Refusing to add stuff to my order and actually said get all your order together before I put it through. I’ve been coming to Baders for years and this is the first time I’ve had someone speak to me so rudely. Won’t be coming here again!!!!

Visited here 10.5.24. first off all the staff give a real feel for middle Eastern hospitality, they can't do enough for you and you will have a friendly greet. We sat down and ordered mint tea and hummus. First impressions was it looks amazing, second impressions was it tastes amazing. Some of the best hummus on cov road , really smooth . Stop reading this and go order some hummus

I have been to other places to eat but it was much better. Here the rice was dry, the grilled meat was missing and the accompanying salad and bread were missing. The price is very high for the quality and quantity of food. We won't be going back again thank you.

I just had lamb mandi, mixed grill platter, chicken shwarma here in Coventry road. The food was dry. There mandi is awful. The rice had no flavor, and the portions were not at all good for the value. Would never come or recommend anyone.

A very authentic Arabic cuisine. Was so busy and probably the reason I give service 4 stars, thou they were super friendly. Did find some deficient in english! That gives it a more authentic feel :P the food was really really good!

Amazing service. Lovely people, however food was just decent enough, not inedible but not the best either.

As a loyal customer, I have frequented Bader Restaurant with my family, but unfortunately, our last experience left much to be desired. Reservation Chaos: Despite having made a reservation via phone early in the morning, we were shocked to arrive at 5:30 PM and find that there was no record of our booking. The staff’s dismissive attitude and refusal to believe us were both unprofessional and frustrating. The change in ownership seems to have had a negative impact on the overall service quality. We felt neglected and unimportant throughout our meal. Basic communication was lacking, and the staff appeared indifferent to our needs. To add insult to injury, our food orders were mishandled multiple times. It’s unacceptable for a restaurant to miss serving dishes to paying customers. As a result of this experience, my family and I have decided that this will be our last visit to Bader Restaurant. We can no longer recommend it to others. Food was ok service was slow but surprisingly a real busy place and it’s clearly popular

We ordered through Just Eat. Our food arrived over an hour late, cold and missing items, When we tried calling the restaurant no one answered the phone. got no update or tracking from the driver or the restaurant. just left clueless if the food would ever going to be delivered. finally when we requested for a refund from just-eat, 10 mins later the driver just handed me the bag and left. no apology from the driver or the restaurant. been eating out and ordering from them for years now but will never again.

Food is decent as any Lebanese or Middle Eastern restaurant, however the service is terrible, if you ask for something extra or genuinely ask for something they will look at you like you’ve done something terrible. The staff here are not welcoming at all, if you’re not Arab you’re not welcome, that’s how I feel anyway I seen the difference in the way they treat their Arab customers compared to other cultures.

I went there hoping to get nice food. The man gave us a breakfast menu . We didn't want to order from because it was so basic. Like omelette , beans things you make at home. My karak tea was cold . There was no atmosphere. The guy was just not inviting. We felt like we made a bad choice even with the food!

Walked in, and I asked the brother behind the counter if they did the roast chicken in a bespoke way, as I didn't want the fries or rice. He responded yes no problem. Sat down and told the waiter what I wanted, it was very simple, I wanted half-chicken with hummus and salad and the bread. The guy was just surprised and confused. It was a simple request. He said,'You could only have one either rice fries hummus or salad'. He did himself a favour by saying 'OK ill do it for you this time'. All that fuss for OK food. Nothing spectacular at all. When I went up to ask for more bread (happy to pay), he had such a look of surprise and disgust and said OK. Bread didn't arrive, went over to the other chef who was too busy peering into the other table's convo, and he gave me another piece of bread. Food was OK, atmosphere nice, but service had a bit too much attitude from the waiter and they'd forgotten to give the bread or just didn't want to. Won't visit again, but the food was decent enough.

Old favourite from the days I used to live in the Midlands. Went there last night with my wife. The quality of food is second to none! The service is amazing and the place is spotless as usual! Highly recommended!!

Came here to eat with my wife family, What can I say if Al Bader Ladypool road was not bad enough this place have exceeded my disappointment, when I've arrived the waiter brought us some lentil soup which goes accompanied by slices of lemon, might god forgive them, the slices of lemon had mold!!! Not even a joke, mold coming out the lemon, I was so shocked so broken to see that after I've poured already lemon in the soup and drank from it, it felt like a stab. Took my boul and walked to the waiter to tell him so, showed him the mold and he didn't even seemed surprised or affected, told him to change my soup and he really thought about it twice, man, this was a nightmare. After while we were trying to eat( which I was examining the food after that) his manager or boss I guess was shouting to this waiter like if he was his slave in front of everyone, when i say shouting I mean like if he was going to beat him up, felt even sorry for him imagine, me or my family are not coming back the funniest thing is I went to Al Bader ladypool road after this visit here, and is not even better so don't think it changes when you go to any other one. Save your money and don't let this people take your money without offering you a quality service

Went with family. 7 of us. Loved the food and taste delicious. The portion size was good.

We were scammed. We visited this weekend and the waiter at the till asked us to pay in cash, but at the time we only had part of the bill in cash, so we asked to cover the rest by card. He did not give us a receipt so we did not realise this until we got home and checked our bank account, but he charged us the whole bill on our card, as well as taking over half of it in cash (that's over £50 for just two items)! The service (by the same waiter who took our bill) was also very poor, he was very inattentive, not giving us the correct number of plates etc until requested, along with other issues. Food also had a strange flavour to it, unsure if it was fresh or not. Do not visit this place

I've been too many places in the UK to get Chicken Shawrma. This is the best chicken Shawrma wrap I've had so far. Reminds me of shawarma from Qatar. Really delicious.

When I received my order it was definitely old the mandi rice was slightly slimy the mossaca was foamy I phoned the shop and the man on the till was adamant that it was just cooked four hours ago I told him that it can’t be the case he said that I just had some earlier it was fine,I could clearly see that he was lying he kept on changing his story will not order from there again.

Delicious arab food in Birmingham My go to place for breakfast!

Ordered yesterday and spent £70s worth on food because we assumed it would be good from the reviews, but it was not. All the meat was just bones and fat from the large bader grilled platter and it was cold and came an hour late. Won’t be ordering from here again, the workers are very unprofessional over the phone too.

My husband brought me here saying that food here used to be amazing. Well I never want to visit again. Ordered lamb steak with rice what I got was gristle and fat rice was dry with no taste at all. My husband ordered shawarma and could not even eat. I don't recommend this restaurant at all.

Visited yesterday with family ordered the large family platter which had some meats missing wings were burnt out, chicken was dry and overcooked tasted off. The rice was the only decent thing. This place has gone downhill completely no standard left is not worth the money people avoid.

I have tried all of the shawarma in Birmingham. Shwarma city, istanbul shawarma, AL Badr etc. This is thee best shawarma i have ever tried. Chef needs a pay rise. Well done guys will be coming every week.

Mandi is a must have: Middle East twist on the Subcontinental biryani; we usually enjoy the kebabs (kofte) and lamb shanks, preceded by lentil soup or halloumi 👍 Reasonably priced (£34 for two excluding drinks, Jamjar down the road for shakes and desserts) 2. Plenty of seating arrangements: Middle East style, all seating on one floor; family friendly / private section; open area outside for outdoor eating experience; not very busy so easy to get a seat / minimal waiting time IMHO 😅 3. Customer service to the point: great place to practice your Arabic 😅; look out for the experienced / elder waiters if you need recommendations 4. Prayer room facilities: we usually do at Green Lane (3-5 min walk); ask management for on premises facilities / I think they'll have 5. Limited parking: it's Coventry Road 😅 Morrisons 3-5 min walk away, then do the steps 😉

Very disappointed came back here for my 3rd time after having a good 2 previous experience. Noticed staffing had changed and management. However, this time was horrendous. Food was not only served after 45 mins wait but the food was luke warm and portions were smaller than last time yet prices were the same… Items on menu that were supposed to be provided weren’t which didn’t make any sense. To make it even worse, my pregnant wife threw up from the food as she said the meat tasted like it had been cooked a few days before and wasn’t fresh (she’s middle-eastern so knows her food). I’ve got a strong stomach to poor food but I am never coming back here again especially after my pregnant wife could have had serious food poisoning possibly killing her and my unborn child. Extremely disappointed and disgusted with this place. AVOID if you care about the life and health of you and your family.

Best Shawarma & Lentil Soup in Birmingham, one of my top favourite spots!

Alright place. Food takes little longer to be served. Smoking area is infront of the entry, which is anoying becauce og the door is open and the moke comes ind the restaraunt.

My partner and myself order through UberEats usually. The food is always amazing and full of flavour, however, the delivery service needs a little work.

I went there with my children, ordered for them shawerma kids meals, the plates contained small portion of meat and more fries, even for kids i do not think it is acceptable. We ended up spending more to change for wraps. For me it will be the last time.
