I’ve been coming to Bader’s for many years – the ambience is always spot on, and the decor instantly transports you to the Middle East. My most recent visit over the weekend was enjoyable. I went for the Beef Arabie Shawarma, which had great flavour as always, and the condiments really do complement the dish beautifully. However, this was the second time in a row I noticed some chewy pieces in the meat – a little attention to the quality would really take it back to its best. That said, the overall experience was still lovely, and I left feeling satisfied and already looking forward to my next visit!

Highly recommended to anyone who loves Arabic/ Yemeni food.

Bader is a good restaurant with decent food, myself and friends went during Ramadan to open our fast. We were served very quickly and food was nice but the service could have been better. We had to ask a few times for cutlery and some things we had ordered but it was decent enough. 5.5/10

May God not provide for you and grant you well-being, and may God make this amount a source of health and wellness for you. The first reason is that you are stingy and you feel like begging. The second reason is that prices are higher than the Eiffel Tower. The third reason is that you eat garbage, stuffed with blessings, grilled meat, they put garlic to ruin the taste of the meat and it is very disgusting. The wings are all blood. May God not bless you. The shawarma is disgusting to the point that you feel like eating an omelette. The most annoying thing is when you place the order and they tell you there is no bread and you have to buy two small loaves that cost 1.35 each. A neighbor sells a large bundle of 5 loaves for 95 pence. They even serve the garlic in a spoon, the ketchup in a spoon, and even the salt is just grains. The bathroom smells of filth, disgusting water, and filth. They are next to you while you are eating and you feel like you are disgusted because of their filth and disgust. He said a kebab skewer, 3 wings, a small handful of shawarma, potatoes, a shish kebab skewer, a shish kebab skewer, and 4 Pepsi, their price is 41.34. Woe to you from God, what a crime. Your prices and a Muslim said and a worker offers may God not bless you we ate them and in the house and God is witness my son vomited them because of the dirty taste

Just two words can describe this place and its food: Awful and Rubbish, it is way far from being authentic Arabic or Lebanese food. I been there 3 times with family and friends but very disappointing experience.

Ordered a sharing platter and a mixed grill Lamb and chicken kofta kebabs was bursting with flavours but unfortunately the rest of the meats on the platter was overly salty to put it mildly, truthfully if it was a little extra salty, it could have been fixed with dipping it in the sauces, but this was way too much salt Left the premises very disappointed

Badr opened pre-2010 and was awesome. We used to go every week for many years. The food was really tasty and excellent. THEIR Shawarma was the best around. Badr maintained this food standard for many years BUT since post-pandemic it has slowly gone downhill. I ordered a few shawarmas this week after a long time. They all tasted chewy, cold, contains less meat and more salad and bread and the taste was just bearable. What happened to Baders !? Went from HERO to ZERO. New ownership ? or just lost the traditional favours and quality of food and desire/will to serve good food anymore ? I don't think I'll be visiting again. RIP...

We stopped by for a Lebanese breakfast and ended up trying both the Lebanese and English breakfast options. The food was freshly cooked, reasonably priced, and had good flavour. The portion of fries was generous, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned. The restaurant’s Lebanese decor and ambience added a unique and pleasant touch to the experience. With plenty of seating available, it’s a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal.

Poor service. No thanks no appreciate. Food was very dry and blend. Small little chicken. No free water. Limited salad. £24 for small platter. No good.

decent food with a Middle Eastern twist. Food being bought out can be slow, especially during busy periods. Parking is a pain, especially if you're in a big group.

Ordered the platter for two and lebanese bread on uber. Food was full of flavour! Lamb mandi pulls away with a touch and melts in your mouth. Half chicken packed with flavour, mixed shawarma was quality and the fries too. Lebanese bread and side salad went perfectly with the meal. Highly recommend.

I visit different restaurants regularly. This one is the worst restaurant I have ever visited in my life from all countries that I have lived or travelled to. If you like hard meet that can break your teeth without taste then it's place for you. Service was OK, but serving this food intentionally is disgusting.

This place is my local and I love it! The mixed mezza is a great option, perfect for vegans, and good price. Love it!

The wings and Hummous were good and I could not fault this. However when we ordered the mix grill we found the smell and the meat off putting. It had an unusual foul smell. When we informed the waiter then the manager as he had come over. He explained that only we complained about the food and no one else did. I told him it was inedible he said ok but I will charge you. Later he implied that we wanted free food even though we did not eat the mix grill. The manager was very rude and seemed to lose a sense of customer service. At this time there was a small commotion with words exchanged. The manager did offer us a refund after arguing with us for several minutes. But we declined any refund. We simply wanted to inform the manager that the food (mains)was appalling. The one in ladypool road is on a different level with food and service. It wasn’t a memorable experience. I did have photos but unfortunately can’t seem to find them. I will certainly not be visiting here again.

I recently made order for delivery and spoke with Ahmed, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! The food arrived promptly and was still hot and fresh. Each dish was perfectly packaged to maintain its quality during transit. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients were evident in every bite. I appreciate the care they took to ensure everything was just right. I will definitely be ordering again.

Honestly I ended up here randomly. Had heard good things but turns out this isn't that Bader Restaurant I was after. The ambience was good. But the waiter seemed so busy considering there were only two tables occupied! Service was fairly quick but the food was a disappointment. Neither of us could finish the dishes we ordered. The shwarama plate was especially dry and the flat bread with it was hard as a pappadom! Lamb shank was also underwhelming. Quite pricey for the dishes too!

We came here for a family Eid dinner and had the large platter with a bunch of meats, rice and starters. The food was delicious, the meat was charcoal grilled. Hummus and babaganoush was the best I’ve tasted in Birmingham. Really great price considering the portion, we had a lot of left overs! The staff were friendly and the service was incredibly quick even though it was busy.

The food here was pretty good. The menu was (Palmayra) not Badar. The service was really slow even though it wasn’t very busy. They had sold out of the special tea we had ordered and instead gave us something different and then charged it to the bill. The napkins they gave us was dirty too. Maybe won’t be visiting again.

I've been going to Al Bader now for the best part of 15 years, and this is my first review 😅 This is a Lebanese establishment unlike any other. The quality of food and service is always consistent and excellent. The decor sets the tone for a true Middle East dining experience...10/10 every time..!!

Food was really nice. Wasn't a fan of the Pitta Bread provided with the Hummus, Im a fan of proper Turkish Bread with that as a starter. However will say that the food was great!!

I came to order hummus as takeout but the guy at the till was sooo rude. Refusing to add stuff to my order and actually said get all your order together before I put it through. I’ve been coming to Baders for years and this is the first time I’ve had someone speak to me so rudely. Won’t be coming here again!!!!

Visited here 10.5.24. first off all the staff give a real feel for middle Eastern hospitality, they can't do enough for you and you will have a friendly greet. We sat down and ordered mint tea and hummus. First impressions was it looks amazing, second impressions was it tastes amazing. Some of the best hummus on cov road , really smooth . Stop reading this and go order some hummus

I have been to other places to eat but it was much better. Here the rice was dry, the grilled meat was missing and the accompanying salad and bread were missing. The price is very high for the quality and quantity of food. We won't be going back again thank you.

I just had lamb mandi, mixed grill platter, chicken shwarma here in Coventry road. The food was dry. There mandi is awful. The rice had no flavor, and the portions were not at all good for the value. Would never come or recommend anyone.

Amazing service. Lovely people, however food was just decent enough, not inedible but not the best either.

As a loyal customer, I have frequented Bader Restaurant with my family, but unfortunately, our last experience left much to be desired. Reservation Chaos: Despite having made a reservation via phone early in the morning, we were shocked to arrive at 5:30 PM and find that there was no record of our booking. The staff’s dismissive attitude and refusal to believe us were both unprofessional and frustrating. The change in ownership seems to have had a negative impact on the overall service quality. We felt neglected and unimportant throughout our meal. Basic communication was lacking, and the staff appeared indifferent to our needs. To add insult to injury, our food orders were mishandled multiple times. It’s unacceptable for a restaurant to miss serving dishes to paying customers. As a result of this experience, my family and I have decided that this will be our last visit to Bader Restaurant. We can no longer recommend it to others. We ordered through Just Eat. Our food arrived over an hour late, cold and missing items, When we tried calling the restaurant no one answered the phone. got no update or tracking from the driver or the restaurant. just left clueless if the food would ever going to be delivered. finally when we requested for a refund from just-eat, 10 mins later the driver just handed me the bag and left. no apology from the driver or the restaurant. been eating out and ordering from them for years now but will never again.

Food is decent as any Lebanese or Middle Eastern restaurant, however the service is terrible, if you ask for something extra or genuinely ask for something they will look at you like you’ve done something terrible. The staff here are not welcoming at all, if you’re not Arab you’re not welcome, that’s how I feel anyway I seen the difference in the way they treat their Arab customers compared to other cultures.

I went there hoping to get nice food. The man gave us a breakfast menu . We didn't want to order from because it was so basic. Like omelette , beans things you make at home. My karak tea was cold . There was no atmosphere. The guy was just not inviting. We felt like we made a bad choice even with the food!

Walked in, and I asked the brother behind the counter if they did the roast chicken in a bespoke way, as I didn't want the fries or rice. He responded yes no problem. Sat down and told the waiter what I wanted, it was very simple, I wanted half-chicken with hummus and salad and the bread. The guy was just surprised and confused. It was a simple request. He said,'You could only have one either rice fries hummus or salad'. He did himself a favour by saying 'OK ill do it for you this time'. All that fuss for OK food. Nothing spectacular at all. When I went up to ask for more bread (happy to pay), he had such a look of surprise and disgust and said OK. Bread didn't arrive, went over to the other chef who was too busy peering into the other table's convo, and he gave me another piece of bread. Food was OK, atmosphere nice, but service had a bit too much attitude from the waiter and they'd forgotten to give the bread or just didn't want to. Won't visit again, but the food was decent enough.

Old favourite from the days I used to live in the Midlands. Went there last night with my wife. The quality of food is second to none! The service is amazing and the place is spotless as usual! Highly recommended!!

Came here to eat with my wife family, What can I say if Al Bader Ladypool road was not bad enough this place have exceeded my disappointment, when I've arrived the waiter brought us some lentil soup which goes accompanied by slices of lemon, might god forgive them, the slices of lemon had mold!!! Not even a joke, mold coming out the lemon, I was so shocked so broken to see that after I've poured already lemon in the soup and drank from it, it felt like a stab. Took my boul and walked to the waiter to tell him so, showed him the mold and he didn't even seemed surprised or affected, told him to change my soup and he really thought about it twice, man, this was a nightmare. After while we were trying to eat( which I was examining the food after that) his manager or boss I guess was shouting to this waiter like if he was his slave in front of everyone, when i say shouting I mean like if he was going to beat him up, felt even sorry for him imagine, me or my family are not coming back the funniest thing is I went to Al Bader ladypool road after this visit here, and is not even better so don't think it changes when you go to any other one. Save your money and don't let this people take your money without offering you a quality service

We were scammed. We visited this weekend and the waiter at the till asked us to pay in cash, but at the time we only had part of the bill in cash, so we asked to cover the rest by card. He did not give us a receipt so we did not realise this until we got home and checked our bank account, but he charged us the whole bill on our card, as well as taking over half of it in cash (that's over £50 for just two items)! The service (by the same waiter who took our bill) was also very poor, he was very inattentive, not giving us the correct number of plates etc until requested, along with other issues. Food also had a strange flavour to it, unsure if it was fresh or not. Do not visit this place
