Booked for my sons birthday 8 people, we were the only ones in. The food was ok , plenty of it and everything we ordered available. They were out of a few of our drink requests, which was ok. BUT it was so cold inside, even the waitress had an outdoor coat on whilst working. We did mention it to her I she just said “I know.” Made the experience a bit unpleasant as we were sat with our coats on!

Not going to lie, previously this place has been hit and miss but now appears to have turned a corner. Between the three of us we had a hotdog, burger and chicken & waffles with various sides, wings and halloumi fries. All the food was incredible. Previous issues with things missing off the menu and slow service have been fixed and we had a great experience. Best true BBQ food I’ve had.

I had the mother clucker (half a chicken). Was lovely and not dry. The skin was nice as well. Also had a pint of their Backyard Brew, tasted great. I’ve never had a bad meal there, and would go again

Came here on an evening out. I had a full rack of ribs and my dad had a burger. My dad felt that there was something lacking. My ribs were dry at the edges (to be expected sometimes, no Biggie), but they were more on the salty side. I couldn't help but notice how dead it was on a Friday night and no booked tables. I'll be honest, I feel like standards are slipping compared to the last time I came. Not sure if there's new owners/chefs, but I thought this feedback would help to make this a better place to eat out. I'd hate to lose this place to be honest. P.S please bring the steaks back. The T bone I had last time was 👌

Came here with my 2 friends. Absolutely lovely. Cannot fault the service and friendliness of the staff. The food and cocktails was spot on! I had Philly cheesesteak, beautiful! And the chips were perfect. Thank you.

Bought the smoking chicken one word raw the owner tried to fab me off and said I was lying never again

Came today for a quick meal on the way home. Some of the best food I've ever had. Their signature hot sauce is amazing. Nice tingle and loads of flavour. Crisp chips and. Homemade slaw rounds off everything perfectly. The burger was huge and so juicy. Cannot recommend this place enough. Plus the staff feel like friends. So friendly and personable. Do yourself a favour and try it. You won't regret it.

Wonderful meal and great portions met with excellent service. The gin was spot on and the music selection unparalleled, would definitely recommend!

Amazing takeaway once again. Food is always hot, burgers are fresh and taste amazing, and another amazing thing is their ability to offer brilliant gluten free options. Not to mention their chips - only takeaway to get them perfect every time. Would 100% recommend to anyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pre ordered food at 4 pm for a 8 pm delivery to give them plenty of time and notice only to be told at 7.30 the order was cancelled. Poor service be warned will not use again

Really sorry to write this review, ordered an ultimate platter. £40. £2.50 for delivery. Looking faward to this all day. Chips were gorgeous. The rest very disappointing. Luke warm and we only live 5 mins away. Meat was dry. Coleslaw was really veg sliced no sauce to it at all, very bland.

Called in on the hop. Boy I’m glad we did, lots of choice on the menu I had pulled pork pitta slaw & fries. My husband had sloppy burger. Lots of choice for drinks too alcoholic and nonalcoholic. We will be back!!! Thanks for a fab meal.

First visit. Weekday lunchtime. Pulled pork lunch special... Great meat and Coleslaw... Really delicious sauces. Only place I've seen blue moon on tap in the area. Really great personable service from Karine

First time I've been in & was very pleased with the food, generous portion size & tasty grub so right up my street. The staff were friendly & food didn't take long to come out. Overall very happy & will be returning again in the future! P.s the music playlist in the background was awesome.

What a little gem of a place this in! I’m not a local, and only picked here as they were taking part in the eat out to help out scheme and they were near the Metrodome, but boy am I glad we did. The waitress opened early for us so we weren’t stood outside with our babies. She was super nice the whole time we were there and couldn’t do enough for us. She even got a spare highchair from the cafe next door for us. The food was sooo nice, and fresh, and so filling. Even the kids burgers were homemade and delicious! I’d definitely recommend this place and will go back next time I’m in Barnsley.

If you like meat, then this is the place for you. Thinking a boneyard platter would be enough for my husband and I to share for lunch.. We were wrong.. In the best possible way. There was too much, great quality, great value and a take home box that will get finished off for our tea. Excellent service and nice atmospheric decor. Delicious.

Chatty & friendly service but got the drinks order wrong, didn’t bring cutlery to the table and would walk off halfway through sentences which was odd. Food was very poor. 45 minutes wait for a simple main course order. No ketchup or ribs in stock which was somewhat alarming for a barbecue themed establishment. Pulled pork was fatty and lacking any flavour/moisture. Chips were to a good standard however.Won’t be coming again and glad it was 50% off!!

I’ve ordered a from here a few times using Uber eats. (Usually when I get 50% off as I find the prices a bit steep for the area if I had to pay full price) I love the concept, and want to love the delivery of the fresh food but somehow it never quite hits the mark.... I really hope and pray each time things are better than the last. I ordered the bbq platter, mother clucker chicken, Mac cheese and nachos. The nachos really could do with double the amount of topping or reducing the nacho portion. They are described as cheesy, but they were much more salsa-y than cheese.... I barely found the cheese this time round, the salsa however was to die for! I was unfortunately left with half the nachos and no topping. Perhaps if they could be delivered deconstructed like at Taco Bell maybe the topping would go further? The chicken this time was perfect!! (Last time it was very dry) but in return the ribs, brisket and wings on the platter were really dried out, cold and over cooked. The chips needed a quick warm through in the oven but I don’t mind that so much, hardly anyone can make chips travel! The Mac cheese wasn’t quite up to standard either - not as cheesy as normal, not sure if the recipe has changed or it was made a little different today? That normally is my go to dish as it normally doesn’t disappoint- I’ve often said no one else knows how to make Mac cheese! No doubt I’ll order again in the future as I love a protein based, lower glycaemic index carbs feast and few takeaways in Barnsley hit that spot. Next time it will hopefully hit 5 stars.... I’m still optimistic!

Me and friend went yesterday for a birthday meal but I'm sad to say I won't be going or recommending it to anyone else. So we ordered some drinks and food the lady bought our drinks over and the chef was licking his fingers in the kitchen where are food was being cooked he kept touching his face watch just completely put us off So we told the waitress she went and told him that he shouldn't be licking his fingers and eating in the kitchen but that doesn't matter we still couldn't eat anything now from that establishment I've also informed environmental health about this does this establishment no that there is a pandemic on at the moment Staff not wearing any PPE the cook looked very scruffy indeed it looks like he add is family in all day as his child was there and his partner which for me is a definitely no this should never happen. If the owner is reading this please tell me what as happened to your business this used to be a fantastic little establishment.

Orders at 5.35pm was told would be delivered within 1 hour, after 1 hr I rang again, oh it’s still here it will be 20 minutes. 30 minutes later it arrived cold and inedible with part of the order missing. I wrote a review on there site ! No contact received in over 2 weeks. This takeaway cost £23.00 for two. Utterly RIPPED OFFNever use them

First time I’ve eaten from here and I’m glad I did when I saw it was doing deliveries. Tasty food at a very reasonable price. The platters are delicious and are great value for money.

Had an early evening meal immediately after work when no-one else was in the place. Popped to the loo and came back to find it was half-full which was very reassuring! We ordered a mixed platter - plenty of meat, house slaw and fries. All amazingly tasty and very good value for money.Corrine was a great host, looked after us really well and introduced us to the chef at the end of the night. I look forward to coming back when I'm next in the area.Keep us the good work! X

Party for 23 people handled excellently, food cooked to perfection would highly recommended trying out this restaurant. Bar service amazing great choice of drinks.

Went after work on a friday night - wasnt doing anything exciting so decided to treat myself before going home.Walked in at around 5 so was pretty quiet, the young waitress greeted me and offered me a seat. I sat in the window looking out into the arcade. The place was well designed and in keeping with the feel of an authentic american smokehouse. The menu was not massive but that is a good thing. This means they can be good at what they do instead of trying to cater for everyone and been mediocre at everything.This came out in the food. I bought a full rack of ribs and a side of onions rings. Im cynical and expect uptown eateries to give you small portions. I was shocked to find that a full rack of ribs meant a full rack of ribs! They were amazing, exactly what you want when you order something like that. They were tender juicy and full of flavour. They were covered in a sticky bbq sauce and i put dirty mustard and hot pepper sauce on as well. They were exactly what i wanted.The onion rings were great too, batter was light and very crispy, not soggy at all. I really didn't need them though the ribs were enough (still ate them). By the way the ribs were only £9 and the onions rings i think only £2. Not overpriced at all. I also had a pint of wheat beer which was perfect to offset the ribs. P.s the waitress was friendly, unobtrusive and knew the menu. Im going again tonight.Only 1 criticism - when you serve ribs give that person a couple if warmed wet wipes at the end, trust me, it will tie off the experience perfectly.

Called with my daughter, just passing and enjoyed it thoroughly. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. My daughter's brisket burger and my hunter's chicken burger, along the dusted fries were well worth it. A cool beer rounded off an enjoyable lunch, enough to promise a return, soon and often. Can't recommend too highly.

I haven’t ate here in the evening since it changed from been 8oz Burger a while ago however I have visited on several lunchtimes to take advantage of their fantastic £5 lunch offer, a selection of popular mains which they’re happy to customise and alter to suit your taste, as well as a generous side order of fries, corn, onion rings etc. You can’t go wrong for the money. Quite a fan of the reclaimed wood aesthetic and the little touches such as the smoker sink basin. Worth a visit!

Great little place and the staff were very friendly indeed. All the food was of good proportions and cooked to perfection. Enjoyed by all of us. Not the cheapest eaterie but worth the little extra! Would recommend this place to anyone!

Popped in on a quiet Sunday lunch time and was very happy. We got two of the specials a starter of nachos, a beer and two cokes for 33pound. Walked out staff, total bargain! The special was a box of all of the meats. The chicken wings where nothing special but the rest was delicious. The chilli sauce was incredible and would of taken a bottle home if they sold it.

First and last time , food was like warm and last resort was when the chef told the waitress to quite clearly f*** off . No thank you not for me ruined birthday

Came here with the family didn’t have high expectations but the food we had was amazing. Meat packed with flavour, Brisket melt in the mouth, pulled pork to die for, and can’t wait to have more ribs and burnt ends! Saw the smoker being loaded, all meat clearly smoked on site and you can tell with the taste. Fantastic value for money, great service will definitely be back.

I came here on a quiet Saturday lunch time with family and we had two of their burgers.

We went there on a Saturday night and although it was a little quiet the atmosphere was still fantastic. We had the BBQ sharing plate which was great (the only critic I would have is that some of the food wasn’t piping hot and so was cold when we came to eat it). The only criticism is that the service staff seem to lack the “service with a smile” motivation but there where very attentive.

Came here for the first time, didn’t even know it existed. Ordered bbq nachos with were delicious, good value for money and really tasty. Only reason I gave 4 not 5 is they didn’t have a few things on the menu especially sweet potato fries which is what I really wanted!

We went here a few weeks a go. I love the "industrial" look of the restaurant. Good choice of stuff on the menu, but we could not decide, so we had the sharing platter (it had a lot of variety). My burger was slightly undercooked, but the rest was amazing. We really enjoyed it. I will be returning.

First time visiting this place and most definitely won't be the last. The food was beautiful and loads of it too. We had some bagged up to take home as we couldn't finish it all. Love the decor and the staff were really friendly. Had the nachos to start and the sharing platter for main, would definitely recommend and you won't go hungry. Loved it
