I have used this grill for many years without complaint. However on Sunday afternoon 29th May. We stopped for a lunch around midday. First we stood at the sign to be seated. This took quite a while but it was busy. Then we were greeted by a middle aged woman. With what I can only describe as it was as if she was chewing wasps. She directed us to a seat which was being blown heavily with an air conditioner. The wasp eater said nothing when I pointed out the issue. She put her order pad in her pocket and walked away. I will never again enter this grill. They are obviously making so much cash they think they don’t have to consider their customers any more. Sad state of affairs. It used to be a nice stopping off place but alas no more..I would advise this place is given a wide berth. The Staff all looked so unhappy maybe it’s had a change in management William Topping 07881678223

Where do I start. Adrianna and her team where absolutely fantastic and made the evening extra special with the service provided. The food was amazing, full of flavour and just mouthwatering, a number of compliments about the food was given by family members who were happy to be leaving with takeaway containers. Again a massive thank you to Back a yard grill for helping to make my mum's birthday special.

We arrived at the restaurant which seemed very empty for a Saturday night but due to restaurant fact we were celebrating our anniversary neither of us really minded. After being shown to the table we looked through the menu. It felt as though they were attempting to do too much rather than have a speciality in a specific type of food. It took us about 5 minutes to decide on food and drink. Once we finally ordered. It took about 15 minutes just for is to receive our mocktails as well as my 7up which arrived with a dirty glass. After waiting around 35 minutes, we received our starters. We wasn't given any cutlery or even napkins. Sadly, the prawn we ordered were completely different to the ones in the picture and the BBQ chicken wings were slightly undercooked as well as the fact they didn't taste anything like BBQ wings. We asked our waiter if we could get cutlery and tissues and all he brought was tissue. Almost an hour after arriving we received our mains. We were asked if we would like more cutlery but we didn't receive any in the first place so we asked if we could get a first set before we think of a second set. Our main meals where sadly terrible. Not only did the curry goat and oxtail look exactly the same colour they were both too salty to even eat. The curry goat had no type of sauce and the sauce that the oxtail had was swimming in oil. So neither of us was able to eat our main. After speaking with one of the chefs and telling her the issues we were given a £8 discount. This was not acceptable since the only thing we actually consumed was the praws and the two mocktails. We were then shown another bill that charged us for the sides and drinks. Even though we only ate one side, I just paid it as we had to now find somewhere else to go and eat. I have been to this restaurant many times but Saturday the 9th was my worst experience by far. I can't imagine returning here. Especially not for and anniversary dinner. Very disappointed with the whole experience.

Went in for a Sunday Roast, only chicken was available. I was served a boney chicken leg which was poor value, what you might expect in a corner cafe. The meal took about 45 minutes to serve but it seemed much longer due the choice of jarring autotune Garage music being loudly played by the staff. I ordered one drink when I sat down, nobody bothered to try to sell me another drink. Poor atmosphere. Table was very wobbly.

We just finished our lunch at Back a Yard and it was perfect from start to finish. I am not sure why the prior reviews are so bad because without a doubt I would recommend it to anyone. First, the staff was all really lovely, welcoming. The food was sooooo good. We had fish platter and it was delicious, Of course it is a residential area, therefore you can not park your car at the front door but 2minutes walk not even 100metres and you can park your car on pay and display machine area. It is that easy, We sat indoor next to the window and had view on the park so really nice and relaxing. I would recommend without hesitation.

Friend had booked us this place for 17/04/2021. Due to covid seating was outside. Table was booked for 6.30pm and our orders were taken shortly thereafter. We were served our drinks, to our dismay they serve no alcohol (reading previous post they have no licence) the mocktails were lovely. We waited over an hour and a half for our food. A couple who were seated after us had received their food before us which was annoying. After waiting for sometime we spoke to a member of staff who said they would look into the mains to which we responded that we hadn’t even had our appetisers yet. No one came out to update us, so I then proceeded to ask the same member of staff to check if the kitchen has made our order, if not then we will leave. The wrong appetiser came out first of all and then the manager came to tell us that the kitchen had lost our order. After all of that, they had brought our appetisers out and we asked to have our mains taken away. Because we were sitting outside it became uncomfortably cold due to the weather and we did not want to sit outside any longer. No plates, cutlery or tissue was given to us. Went to pay for the bill and the manager applied a discount for us. The food was lovely and the staff too but organisation was terrible. No numbers were on the tables, so that’s why staff were going from table to table to see if they had the right customers orders, I heard a staff member tell a waiter to take food to the 3rd table on the left. Also the restaurant had 4-5 bookings so it’s not like they were busy, spoke to the table next to us and they had not received their drinks after an hour.

4 of us popped in without reservation on a very quiet day (I would say 4 tables occupied) and sat outside. We went only because of the 40 excellent G**gle reviews, which I now think can’t be real! Somehow we were there 2 hours, getting just main courses. Service was incredibly slow to start, but the meals themselves must have taken an hour to cook. No thought to coming outside to let us know about the delay. When we asked staff, they said they would check and let us know - but didn’t. No thought to checking up on us and seeing if we needed more drinks. Then the food arrived and it was great, but there was something odd about it all. They brought a chicken Caesar wrap instead of a chicken Caesar salad. But there’s no Chicken Caesar wrap on the menu so I don’t know what happened. Food is actually super Tasty. Jerk bbq burger delicious. But not worth the wait!

I took my Mother to this restaurant for her 92nd birthday as she wanted to have Caribbean food. Let's start with the positives, the food was 5 Star - plain and simple. The Jerk Chicken wings were very tasty and I had one of the best Curried Goats I have tasted apart from my Mothers (of course!). My Mother had the Snapper with vegetables and she was as equally impressed, she couldn't eat it all and took the rest home in a box! The waiting team were courteous and on the whole efficient so no real complaints there either. The Venue is clean and very spacious. Now the rest (-) Minus Stars....We got there around 1:20pm after finding somewhere to park. - 1 Star The restaurant is on an estate and there is no close parking, the nearest being the Sainsbury's underground car park (about 1/4 mile walk across a main road) so I had to drop my Mum off first. Also, expect to pay at least £3.00 for parking. - 2 Star - I ordered the chicken wings to be served before the main dishes. It was an hour before they turned up and only after I had asked when they were coming! - 3 Star - A local person came in 15 minutes after we arrived and received her food (Main course) BEFORE our starters had arrived! I found this extremely annoying. She also commented that having to wait a long time for food to arrive was the norm. -4 Star. The starters was brought in on platter without dishes to eat them on. -5 Star. When I asked to speak to the owner (A Michelin Chef) initially she was too busy to spare 5 minutes to talk to me. In her defence she did eventually appear. -6 Star. It transpired that she was busy preparing take-away orders, hence why my Mother and I were forced to wait one hour for our starters. -7 Star. if I'd have been that Chef I would not have tried to argue back but I would have listened to the points that she needs to improve upon. -8 Star. No drinks license so if your looking for an alcoholic beverage currently that is not an option. I've dined in all levels of Restaurants from Michelin to Joe's Cafe' and it's not just about the food but also about service, which was non-existent and I don't blame the waiting staff in anyway. As a Black British guy I wanted to support a Black owned business. I've been to a few Black restaurants and it is mostly service that is lacking and unfortunately Back-A -Yard is no exception. If they are to survive they need to work on the service side of the business. I just hope the owner takes this review in a positive manner and works on improving service for the sit-down diners.

Brilliant experiment, always a very friendly service at this branch. This is the third time we have been served by staff member Kaeshan, she has been absolutely amazing. Today was my son’s birthday, she has gone over and beyond to ensure we have a great experience. We will definitely continue our custom at the 02 branch, also highly recommend it. Great service, super quick, accommodating staff and most importantly amazing food and cocktails.

This McDonald's has seriously gone downhill in the 6 years that I've lived in woolwich. When I first moved to the area, orders were correct, burgers were made well and the service was great. Now, if you order in store - make sure that your order is correct before leaving or going to your table and good luck if your order online... 9/10 times the order is wrong or has something missing. I once ordered a cheesy bacon flatbread... and only got a stale flat bread! No quality control and no checking of orders. They are more concerned in getting orders out than making sure that they are correct. Focus more on the quality of the service than fulfilling orders to meet quotas.

I found this place by chance and I am very glad I did. Everyone either says hello to you or gives you a friendly smile. There was a live blues band and I was not disappointed! The band engaged with the crowd and was encouraged to participate with the band by singing. People (as well as myself) were dancing, very happy and embraced the blues. The staff were absolute perfection! Whilst speaking with the friendly staff I found out there are karaoke nights, dj sets and a whole lot more going on there. I am glad I came to this establishment and let the blues take my soul. Oh, and for those that are wondering there IS a pool table there which I will be heavily using 😂 I absolutely loved it there and WILL be going back!

I attempted to dine here before a concert but despite a number of enquiries about our order our food never arrived. I had to leave and was assured I would have my bill refunded in full 3-5 working days later but now a month on I’m still trying to get my refund with no response from GBK. Terrible service.
