Bacaro in Liverpool

Been here many times and have loved all our visits .Came here on Easter Sunday with our son and his partner from Manchester. the Service was again excellent the food beautifully prepared, we had many dishes between us including the cooked meat platters, fennel salad and house salad not to mention the chicken liver crostini ,bread and olives washed down with some lovely wines. Must say a big thank you to Rob, Conner and Michael from behind the bar and also Jess our server. We would highly recommend a visit here, See you all again soon.

Another fab meal here. So accommodating as I’d tried to change the time of my booking the day before which I knew was unlikely as it’s so popular. But they changed it for us. Rob is front of house and as always charming and funny. Teo was a waiter who was also so nice and friendly. The women who served us were also brilliant but didn’t get their names. It’s always the same. Wide choice of fresh stunning food but I really think the staff make it the ‘go back to’ again and again. Thanks. Back again in 4 weeks.

Brilliant customer service and lovely food, had booked a table for later in the afternoon but bacaronwere able to bring it forward 2 hour and great us on a lovely table. Felt really well attended to and the food was a great experience, tapas Italian is a great thing... lasagne and goat cheese dishes were stand out ... thankyou for a lovely family lunch

Courteous polite welcome even though we hadn’t booked a table we managed to get seated for 2 people. The service was first class, attentive but not overwhelming. The food was magnificent. The olives were the best I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten a few at 58 years old. All the dishes were hot, unique and all nine were a tastebud sensation. Definitely would visit again.

We enjoyed a meal here on Paddy’s Day , it was busy with a bustling atmosphere but our server was great. We tried a selection of meat and vegetarian options and enjoyed them all. In particular the goats cheese and honey crostini! Highly recommend a visit here!

We had a good sharing meal and the food was very tasty and well cooked. The restaurant offered a special day time menu which was indicated in the price of the dishes - a good selling point.

We are fairly frequent visitors both as friends and with our respective families. Food is tasty, fresh, service very prompt and efficient. Food comes when it’s ready, which we knew beforehand, but it does mean everything can arrive almost at once, which it did on this occasion. No issues with that except there’s really no room on the table, so all a bit uncomfortable, Carafe of water, bottle of wine, box containing knifes and forks, then a bowl of olives, arancini, 2x pasta, trout dish and a board with a pitzette - all arriving more or less at the same time … I had to put the cutlery jar in the floor. No issue with quality of food, service, atmosphere, but you are a bit crammed in, and perhaps taking a few tables out to give people more space to eat comfortably might be an idea. Nevertheless, well worth a visit, we return for a reason!

We enjoyed a great afternoon with lovely Italian style tapas and one too many drinks. I blame the bubbly atmosphere and the far too attentive and pleasant waitress. Bacaro is a must visit.

Lovely small restaurant, great food love the theme bring to the table, order a bit more, will be coming everytime im down in Liverpool. Crostini and Octopus was a real highlight for me however all our dishes were amazing, great fast service too.

Thank you to all the staff for providing such a wonderful and unforgettable experience recently when I celebrated my 50th birthday at Bacaro. The food was delicious and the portions were sizeable. Most of all, the staff are the nicest, most helpful staff you could ever come across. I can't wait to come back here again. Apologies if we were a bit late vacating the tables, the atmosphere was just so good!! Thanks again xx

by far one of the best restaurants in Liverpool, or only for the tasty fresh food but also for the friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. Lovely atmosphere in restaurant a must visit.

Well this was just delightful. Super friendly welcome (of course it would be for Liverpool!). My bestie and I enjoyed a table at the bar which actually was much nicer than we expected. It's table service at the bar and tables so we didn't have people behind us shouting for drinks, I was spacious, well lit atmospheric and highly recommended. We didn't appreciate, nor did anyone explain, that its tapas style. So our 'starters' arrived at the same time as 'mains'. But it was great value, really nice buzz and just the perfect portion size that we could enjoy 3 courses and not leave feeling like we were ready to deliver a pasta baby. You definitely need to book at least a week if not two in advance!

Scran was mediocre but nicely presented. Service was alright. Wouldn't visit again.

This is such a splendid food with a different slant on Italian food. Here for lunch on a cold wet, Wednesday afternoon. It was full which speaks volumes. The ambience is excellent and such thoughtful and professional staff. The food is a delight. We had lunch menu - three dishes for under £18. What a joy and I’m booked to return soon.

Chose this restaurant on the basis of good reviews. We weren’t disappointed. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was good. I loved the idea of tapas style Italian food. We chose 6 dishes between two of us but the staff will advise depending on what you order. Finished off with homemade Limoncello. Would definitely recommend and return when we visit Liverpool again.

We came here for dinner. The food and service was great, we would come back given the chance. The Chorizo in Honey starter was unreal, as was the Chicken Milanese. I think the idea is to order multiple dishes similar to Tapas so we will be coming back and ordering more dishes next time as it was all delicious.

We stumbled upon Bacaro on a Thursday evening in January. We walked in around 8pm and even though the place was packed they were able to accommodate us at the bar. We started with a couple of drinks, I opted for the Aperol Bourbon sour which was a sweet and interesting twist on a whisky sour which was a lovely palette cleanse before our meal. My girlfriend opted for a glass of Prosecco. Both were delivered quickly by the friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us and to help us with the menu. I started with the burrata and Arancini, both were out of this world. I LOVE Arancini and consider myself a bit of a connoisseur and the roast pepper and harissa was amazing. The Buratta came with black olive chimichurri which really complimented the creaminess. For my main I was recommended the Pan Roast Hake which was melt in the mouth. My partner is gluten free and they had an entire gluten free menu. She opted for the Beef Carpaccio, followed by the Carbonara Pizzette and the GF prawn pasta that came with fresh, meaty king prawns. In truth she ordered too much (I helped her out!) but the pizzette was delicious especially considering it was gluten free. The egg mixed with caramelised red onion was great. We finished off with a couple of mojitos to neutralise the garlic. All in all it was a brilliant dining experience in an area that is actually pretty touristy being only a stones throw from The Cavern. The price was fair for the quality and if you were on a budget you could definitely order less and still walk away with full bellies and semi full wallets. Would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
