Babylon pizza takeaway in Wakefield

It’s my local takeaway anyway as a family we all love it, tried pizza from here for first time yesterday absolutely the best pizza I have ever had!

Me and the partner just moved into the area recently. It was our first time ordering we both agree that the pizza was the best we've ever had takeaway wise (we ordered the pepperoni) it wasn't over or undercooked it was cooked to perfection there wasn't too much or too little topping and the chips were absolutely beautiful delivery was fast we refuse to eat anywhere else! :)

Pleasantly surprised. I just saw this place while passing and popped in. I had one of their 'gourmet' burgers as it was nice to see something different on a take away menu. Honestly it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Definitely fresh and hand made as advertised - much better than the usual frozen ones. My husband had a calzone and again was really nice. None of the food was greasy as it often can be in this type of venue. Just good simple value food. Venue was clean and tidy, staff friendly. Great job.

Ordered take out for the first time here, pleasantly surprised

Absolutely disgusting! Won’t order from here again paid £30 for 2 horrible pizzas 1 portion of chips and a bottle of coke right rip off !

Got given the wrong order then took 10 mins to correct it. Paid like £8 for a kebab worth about £4. Naan was cold

The worst kebab I’ve ever had, got given the wrong over. Then had to wait 10 mins for them to give me the correct one. Hardly anything for £8 worth of kebab. Naan was cold

If I could give zero stars I would. My order was wrong and when I phoned I was told it wasn't and nothing done to rectify this. No refund or change of food offered.

Always enjoy the pizzas from Babylon very tasty plenty of toppings have been a customer for a couple of years.

Ordered on their website no food arrived too late to order from anywhere else.. hopefully will get a refund on my order. Update : Rang up today when the opened and asked what had happened and was informed they had received the order today and they had closed. Gave them an opportunity to deliver today. Too an hour and half to deliver the pizza, no goodwill gesture for the mix up . Ordered a Bombay special pizza not what I received.. pizza was bland no chilli no beef instead chicken, some form of processed tiny pieces of square meat. Horrible.. Never again.

Delivery is usually quick, quality good but portions/toppings can vary in quantity..

Chips undercooked, pizza dough soggy and undercooked, no tissue no forks, was charged £1.70 for 1 mint sauce absolute rip off. Stick to Pizza Hut your pizza won’t be greasy and oily.

Tried charging for chilli sauce in tub when included in king size donnor meal rang and told them this they replied they did not know their own website absolutely ridiculous

Deliciousssssss food for foodies

Just been tonight on the off chance. Wasted most of it. Large donner was perfect for a veggie… hardly any meat at all and what was was cold and tasted funny. Pizza was ok. Best and only thing that tasted fresh was the chips! £22 thrown in the bin in all honesty. Won’t be back.

Best thin n crispy pizzas about, had babylon since I was a kid.. I'm 34 now! Proper nice traditional pizzas, not massive crusted greasy things, 4 cheese is one of the best although was better back in the day when it had cottage cheese too! Not a complaint though as its still bang on.. never order sauces from here noticed a bad review about sauces, but I come here for the pizza and personally think it's that nice it don't need sauce.

The sauces are disgusting from here, literally watered down way too much. I'd rather pay that little bit extra for less watered down sauces. The pizza's, kebabs etc are nice, but the sauce let the place down.

we orded a takeaway and it come no onion rings on a ringo burger and the samosa was under cooked i don`t rate them

More than 2 hours to deliver and still waiting phone place told them to forget the delivery {guess what?) they then turned up 2 hours 15 minutes later WOW

After 2 hours rang place was told delivery was on way 30 minutes later still no delivery { could have walked in that time} will not be ordering anything from these again

Amazing local takeaway with the crispiest pizzas ever. Staff very friendly and fast delivery service. Definitely recommend Babylon all day everyday

Probably the best kebabs in the Wakefield district. Been visiting for many years and now my children take their children.

What can I say the place looked disgusting when I went in got food poisoning from the food if you want to be sick make sure you order from this place the only good thing is the can of pop

Burgers very bland, like something you bought at a burger van.

Used to be the best, unfortunately standards have slipped. Large kebab ordered and regular given, pizzas are now no better than homemade. The best thing about Babylon is the delivery driver, always polite.

Terrible service tonight was told 40 to 45 mins which was actually an hour and half. Food was cold missing bits. Supposed to bringing us a refund. See if this actually happens.

Second time in a row they have not delivered my takeaway. Not even bothered letting me know. Avoid

Normally a decent service... however tonight they got the order completely wrong! Not once but TWICE! No pizza and no refund!!! DISGUSTED... will be paying a visit tomorrow for a refund !

Another excellent chicken kebab from Babylon, I asked for extra salad and they certainly did not disappoint, best kebab in Ossett without a doubt.

Rang to order, practically got hung up on with a ring back in 5 mins?!?! Didnt bother as we were out and on our way home so popped in, to be ignored. Bloke looked up and said 1 min, carried on what he was doing and ignored me again. Shouted in the back for someone to come, who didnt show up I waited another 5 mins to not be even spoken to again, so i walked out!!! I was asked by a bloke walking in if I'd ordered, no i bloody hadn't as i was getting completely blanked. On the phone and in the shop, so sod that i went else where and even tho this is the first time I've been treated badly, I'm annoyed enough not to come back. You've lost my custom that's for sure. Disgusting way to treat customer. Maybe an idea to make sure you have enough staff working, and make them learn how to treat paying customers too.

Again the food looks divine, gourmet burger with pepperoni. Customer service was excellent, as it always is whenever I visit. Tastes divine too

Fantastic pizza , the delivery driver was very polite and the delivery was very fast, they have Authentic stone baked pizza that are crispy & fresh, me and my family definitely recommend Babylon pizza bar. We also like the mix donner n chicken tikka masala btw of chicken and crunchy fresh mix salad on naan bread very nice.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Awesome Pizzas Driving through Osset from visiting my friends in Batley, came across Babylon pizza bar late and were very surprised to find this hidden jem of a takeaway. The pizza and kebabs where very nice and we loved chatting with the friendly staff. 5 star food and a 5 star customer service. Thank you guys for making our visit SPECIAL & MEMORABLE

VERY TASTY PIZZAS N KEBABS My first time here with friends but not my last. They make the best pizzas I have every tried in a small town like Ossett of all places. The pizzas are definitely Authentic and baked in a stone oven. The donner kebabs are very tasty and freshly sliced. Little hidden gem definitely worth the wait will certainly come here again.

A great little takeaway in osset that has one of the very best tasty pizzas we have tried. Me nd my friends where very happy with the food and service we received. A big thank you to all the staff at Babylon pizza bar.

Delivery incredibly lackluster, was over 30mins later than expected and was only average at best. Will be going to another takeaway in future.

Appalling behaviour from delivery drive towards my partner and 8 month old. Called takeaway to complain and they weren't interested!

Appalling service and behaviour from delivery driver to staff in shop. Food just standard, except garlic bread which is dry and tasteless. Rang to complain about rudeness of delivery driver to girlfriend, receive no apology and phone just put down. Avoid!!

AS ALWAYS I LOVED MY KING SIZE WHICH HASN'T BEATEN ME YET & WAS THE RIGHT SIZE THIS TIME 🙂. WORTH THE DRIVE FROM MIRFIELD AS TO FAR FOR THEM TO DELIVER. CHICKEN KEBAB WAS ENJOYED AS WELL.

Horrible pizza, not a very clean looking place, had a very very old 3 star rating in the window, which if you look it up is only 1 or 2 currently at most

Gone downhill I'm afraid. Used to be great but last couple of visits have resulted in tasteless bland pizzas.

Good pizza's and food. Aprox waiting time for delivery around 40-50 minutes.

Really nice food for the price, fast delivery and great customer service.

Delivered on time but very poor. Chips were very soggy and cheese was barely melted on top. Salad on a burger should mean nice sliced tomato and crunchy lettuce on the bottom. It should not mean vast swathes of uncooked, acidic onion piled on both sides of the burger and generally ruining the taste of everything else. The kebab looked like it had been dropped on the floor and scraped back into the tray (as it was a drizzly evening, this could explain the somewhat sloppy and texture-free look it had) The pepperoni pizza looked like it had been purchased for 50p from the Aldi Everyday Essentials range. And finally, the hot and spicy pizza caused, in my mate's words, "chaos", the morning after consumption, presumably loosening his bowels and creating an explosive mess in the toilet. Other than that, I'd order again and recommend to others.

Ordered from here after reading the positive reviews. We were expecting great things from this, particularly from the claims of 'the biggest kebab!' I ordered pizza and my husband a kebab. The food arrived on time and was hot however, there was no flavour to the pizza, the garlic bread tasted cheap and a bit like cardboard. The kebab was definitely not 'the biggest we've ever seen.' Just what you would expect a regular kebab to look like. We will look elsewhere next time.

Fantastic pizzas definitely the best around, I have used this takeaway for years and always had amazing tasting pizzas at great prices. Try the kebab special pizza with chilli sauce is a must.

Omg. Definitely recommend the pizza from this place. Good price and only a short walk from home. Deffo be going back.

Service was great, staff really friendly and food was deserving of 5 stars!!
