We were guests of our dear friends, Sarah and James, who are members of Soho House. As we entered, there were tomahawk steaks and large other meats on the counter (enticing!). The menu had huge variety and the vegetarian and light options were just fine. In the end, the whole group of 7 of us opted for steaks, either the tomahawk (for sharing) or the sirloin for the odd one out. Good choice of booze and bar staff who knew their drinks. It had to be said that a few items were "dropped" from our order, but this was swiftly put right by Soho staff. All-in, a very good evening. Hope to be invited back again.

Had a lovely 3 course dinner. Plenty of choice from local produce as well a particular effort to showcase homegrown veg. The restaurant was very busy but the staff managed the room very well and were extremely attentive. Seeing the working kitchen on the walk in is a nice touch with the hot coals for authenticity in the cooking. Had a drink in the games room to finish off the night.

We had a committee meeting last Sunday. The starters were delicious, and then we all decided to have the ribeye with all the traditional trimmings, and a rather good bottle of red. It was fantastic. The staff were brilliant and looked after our every need

Lovely mix of country surroundings and relaxed London vibes, hidden away in the weeds south of Bath. Enough to choose from on the menu without being complicated, and easy options for the kids, too. Well looked after by our waitress, and enjoyed by all of us.

Fantastic roast chicken - best I have ever eaten! The free afternoon tea in the afternoons is fantastic too!

Some confusion over booking and we were set up at a long table at the bar - actually worked well. Great menu choices in addition to the buffet. Warm toast kept arriving! Highly recommend.

We came here for a family dinner with friends. The setting is lovely, a former stately home set in beautiful grounds. The house, itself is great - several bars and sitting rooms (including a pool table), all with a relaxed feel where you can grab a pre-dinner drink or while away a bit of time before bed. I had tuna tartare followed by possibly the largest burger I have ever had, and ice cream. The food was very tasty and the service was attentive and friendly. A great evening.

The days of drinking a good pint of Bass in a CAMRA listed heritage interior are gone, but things are looking up at the Crown again after three landlords have made a mess of it. The 2021 remodelling replaced the cosy lounge bar with an expensive "Uruguayan grill" with an emphasis on cocktails, which unsurprisingly failed to work in this off-town centre location with no parking. We're left with a strange hybrid to which three successive managers have struggled to attract the local community back. But new manager Kai is starting to turn things round. He's simplified the menu (including the best mac and cheese I've ever tasted) and there's cask ale again from Blindmans. I hope this lovely historic pub flourishes again and recovers its role as a focal point of the Keyford community.
