First visit to BAB and we really enjoyed it. It is a stone's throw from Stevenson Square so very handy if you are there for a drink. They have a very reasonable £10 lunch menu and portions are generous. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Cool decor too. See pictures. Good for solo dining as you can sit in the window and eat.

Absolutely amazing food, had the sharer and every item was fantastic. Service was spot on, not rushed but not waiting around too long. Not overly expensive at all and certainly value for money. It’s kind of hidden away but well worth seeking out

We held our sports club end of season awards night at Bab in the downstairs private hire room and had an absolutely brilliant time. Communication from the off with Lisa at Bab was fantastic and she, along with the team on the night, were always on hand to help + to answer any questions we had. The space itself is the perfect size and has everything you need including projector, screen, sound system and disco lights. We loved the private bar and the food was delicious. Having the room till 1 meant we had lots of time to dance after the main awards were finished. We'd recommend over-ordering on food- we went for the £20 menus but charged £25 so that we could order some extra portions. This meant people could have seconds or thirds and everyone was really happy about this. It's also worth arriving at the venue an hour or so earlier so you can get the layout how you want it, especially if you're planning to use the projector. Thank you so much Bab for having us + for making our End of Season so enjoyable!!

What an experience! Last-minute booking and I’m glad we did book. Bab was four times lush! Greeted and seated with excellence into this quaint, bright and attractive venue. Before I’d had chance to settle, a couple of jars were brought our way - black belt! 👊 the waitperson went to the trouble, and I mean trouble to sort the missus out with a brew (at 8pm?) but fair play and thank you. For a kick-off… Straight in with das Baba Ganoush (to share), a shout from the wife and it went down a treat! The main event consisted of, for me; - Chicken shawarma; salad/ pickled red cabbage/ house chilli - seasoned fries The lady (not as hungry); - 2 lots of halloumi sticks - seasoned fries What can I say? Absolute all-rounder of an experience, high quality and great service. Digestively light but equally flavourful and fresh! Ate here for the first time last night and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Staff were very polite and friendly, we had one more in our party than I had reserved for, but this was not a problem for them at all. Our food was absolutely delicious, came quickly and was very fresh. Great selection of drinks too. We enjoyed the atmosphere so much we were the last to leave! We will definitely be returning.

Came here as a party of 6 for a birthday meal. Didn't get off to a great start when we arrived as the draft beer wasnt available. Drinks took a while to arrive and general service was slow. Ordered a BAB each and some sides which took 45 minutes to arrive. When it did arrive, 3 out of the 6 kebabs were sent back as they were freezing cold, the others were warm, not hot. The server was nice and said he could get us new food but it would take a while. We didn't want to order more food and the rest of the party eat ages after so we didn't order anything else. The 3 cold ones were taken off the bill but the whole experience was completely ruined. Would not return

After months of following these on the socials, my partner and I decided to book in for Saturday night (23rd), our first opportunity back in Manchester. After booking in on the reservation app provided by the Website and arriving early, I was met by an extremely rude and unapologetic front-of-house member of staff by the door," ER YOU ARE NOT BOOKED IN YOU CAN LEAVE". After showing her the booking confirmation she proceeded to be unhelpful. Terrible experience, put such a dampener on something I've been looking forward to for a long time.

Very pleasant night, staff couldn’t do enough or have been more helpful. The food was excellent and the portions very generous even for three people with healthy appetites. We had the Humus, perfect, then the Bab sharer with the Greek fries and added the king prawns. Everything’s delicious and it was the ideal food for chatting and grazing. Will most define back soon

Lovely fresh food, a real hidden gem hidden away down a side street of the main square of NQ. I had the lamb it was tender and crisp

We recently hired BABs downstairs area for a private function. Our contact was Lisa who was great from start to finish. She always replied to my emails really quickly. So many options for great food and drink packages. We went for a drinks package in the end, the cocktail jugs went down very well with our guests. We were able to gain access to the room earlier in the day so we could set up with some banners and balloons. Everyone commented on how much they liked the space. Plenty of seats and room to dance, we made our own playlist but you can hire a dj if you want to. All the costs were really reasonable and wouldn’t hesitate to book at BAB again. Sadly, we didn’t get to try the food but definitely on our list to go back. Big shout out to all the people that worked the bar for us. Ackers…….we know we owe you that pastry 🥐 and hot chocolate ☕️ xxx

Was tasked with the job of booking for 6 people n a Saturday evening in Manchester. Came across Bab, so glad I did. Food excellent, staff helpful and attentive and great location in the Northern Quarter. Will definitely be back again and again.

First visit to Bab, and I will be returning soon. We shared meze dishes, the food was lovely, fresh and tasty, and the portions were a good size. Haven’t tried a “bab” yet but will on my next visit. The service was great and the food was served quickly.

We were really looking forward to visiting but we were so underwhelmed and disappointed. We ordered the BAB sharer and all of the meat was very overcooked and dry. The salt & pepper chicken was black and solid, I couldn’t even stab it with my fork to pick up. The only thing we loved were the Greek fries and the garlic sauce unfortunately.

Cold food arrived as a start , a slight apology but that was it, extremely long wait for order to delivery. Good food eventually but shame they can only the poor quality of food

Update Jan 2024: A very generous business who always puts the customer satisfaction at first. They made up the previous not so great experience. Lots of customisation options to enjoy the food as you love. Highly recommend. The only suggestion would be to bring back the completely pulled meat instead of big chunks.

Came nye for the bottomless brunch with a friend the food was absolutely amazing and the service even better all staff where lovely and welcoming we have done a few bottomless brunches and usually have to fight to get your next drink not here was another one waiting as we took the last sip 🤣 we will deffo return to do it again thankyou

We had our Christmas party here last night and the team absolutely smashed it out of the park. The night was brilliant, the team were fun and helpful from start to finish and the food was raved about. The place has a fantastic atmosphere and they guys honestly couldn’t do enough to help us. Massively recommend Bab as a place to visit for functions or just food. Came a few weeks ago with me a my little puppy and they were brilliant and attentive then. Thank you so much from all of us!

Wow, tucked away on Little Lever Street you have to find this place. Staff were so welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was so tasty and was a real feast. We all ordered something different and we were not disappointed. I had the aubergine hummus for starters and the festive Bab - absolutely delicious. There wasn’t really any cocktails that took my fancy but the staff tweaked one from their menu and made me a raspberry vodka based one instead. I’m not normally a fan of ‘discretionary table service’ added to my bill but these guys thoroughly deserved it last night. One last thing, the ambience and music was spot on and added to a great night. We’ll be back when I next visit Manchester

We went early for dinner, and the restaurant was about half full. Service was really slow. It took 15 minutes for the drinks and 40 minutes for the starters to arrive and equally long for the main course. The food wasn't great. The flatbread was dry and oily at the same time. There was very little meat, it was mixed in with coleslaw and salad. The vegetable rice was terrible, and the calamari batter was inedible. After waiting so long for the food it came put luke warm. The only food that was hot were the fries. The bill was nearly £90 for the three of us, and I begrudgingly paid it.

The team at BAB NQ hosted our staff social event. Serving food for all, inclusive of several dietry restrictions which was much appreciated to allow all of the team to be included. The private room was much larger than we expected with a private bar and toilets. Bar staff were attentive throughout the whole evening and everyone had a great time.

Really great kebabs with a difference. Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. Greek fries were delicious. Looking forward to going back.
