Azalea Restaurant in Worthing

My wife and I just had a takeaway from Azalea. BBQ ribs, salt & pepper squid, chilli bean sauce with prawns, cashew nuts in yellow bean sauce with prawns. It was delivered on time and all dishes were excellent. Even the prawn crackers were better than average. We have had a few from this restaurant before and they have all been good, but this was the best and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

Traditional Chinese music. Relaxing spot, with nice scenery. And of course exquisite Chinese food with vegetarian options.Prompt service delivered with real care and attention . Wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Had a family birthday party here tonight. We were greeted warmly and the table had special decorations. The food was beautifully prepared and served . Thank you to the staff for making my day so special

I ordered a take away on 22.12.23. I have ordered from them many times before, but not for some months. So I was really looking forward to a treat, particularly my favourite, the crispy duck. But sadly when it arrived it was quite fatty and the sauce was missing. The accompanying portion of spring onion and cucumber also appears to have shrunk. Very disappointing.

Very diappointing return visit. Despite being the only table occupied on a saturday evening, we found it impossible to get any attention from the staff without calling out to them. Far too involved in sorting takeaways to bother about in person customers. One of our stir fried dishes, chicken with cashews, had clearly never seen the inside of a wok, just some sauce with nuts and precooked chicken chunks on top, then popped in the microwave. Sadly will not be returning. The staff are very friendly but have clearly lost their way.

I have eaten in many Chinese restaurants and this is by far the BEST. Catherine and her family work so hard to keep customers happy. Her food is exceptional quality and always cooked fresh. I would highly recommend this restaurant to eat in or take away. Amanda Frolich

Probably the worst Chinese meal that I have ever tried to eat. The majority of it went straight In the bin. Oversweet and saturated in MSG. Avoid at all costs.

In my opinion this is the best Chinese takeaway in Worthing! Tasty, good sized portions and the home delivery food arrives hot !

I don't like leaving poor reviews, however we had a takeout that was incredibly disappointing. Not much meat in the dishes and the unnaturally thick sauce tasted as though it was neat sugar. Aim is to eat a genuine Chinese, but sadly disappointed. Some of the food tasted burnt. All very odd. We won't be back!

We have loved coming to this restaurant. It's friendly, the service is very good and the buffet excellent value at £25 for as much as you can eat. The food has been streets better than most Chinese restaurants and really fresh. Having said that, we were a bit disappointed by some of the dishes this time. Most of the starters were indeed good and my hungry son ordered a second round, However, my sweet and sour soup was searingly sweet at the first mouthful, some of the starter dishes were much more salty than one would expect even for seafood. I enjoy beef in black bean sauce and indeed it was really good at the last visit. This time I had opted beef in ginger and I am glad I did. My son ordered the beef in black bean sauce but it was nothing like what we had before. It was more like a reduction than a sauce. It looked as if it had been sitting around for a while. My wife thought perhaps the chef had changed. With the very popular Thai Street Food Restaurant moving from Bath Place to 3 doors away from Azalea, OK it's a different cuisine but I think Azalea are going to have to watch what they are about. And I am really sorry to have to say that.

Haven't been out for a while, so first time back this year. Went with two friends and we definitely got our monies worth! £25 per person, eat as much as you like, but you pick from the menu and cooked for you.

We have been here several times as a family of four. It was recommend to us via Facebook. The food is always so fresh and tasty. You can tell who ever is in that kitchen knows what they are doing. The staff are polite and friendly and always happy to help. But not hanging over your shoulder. Which we love! It’s not a fancy place but it’s clean and tidy which ticks boxes for us. We will not go to a different restaurant to have Chinese food. And since we’ve realised how beautiful Chinese food is fresh from the kitchen I don’t think we’ll order takeaways again - I don’t mean their take always are bad for from it! But for us foods so much nicer straight out of the kitchen. They have a roaring takeaway trade which clearly shows how much people locally love their food. Treat yourself and eat in. You won’t regret it.

Recommended to me by a friend and I will only use this Chinese now. Booked in for Valentine’s Day, free drink on arrival, nice touch with heart decorations and rose chocolates which the lovely host gave us to take home! Food is amazing, highly recommend the crispy duck (and it is crispy, no fat at all) and the beef in black bean sauce. As I write this I am waiting for my delivery from Azaleas to arrive, only took me less than a week to go back… think I have a problem!!

I was warmly welcomed for a takeaway at the beginning of service on a Saturday night and made as comfortable as were the next people who came to eat in. The atmosphere was sparse as yet, in a clean and cosy space where the woman at the front of house made me feel at home while I waited a very short time for my meal to be cooked. The waiter explained to me that the buffet was cooked to order, dish by dish. If the takeaway is anything to go by, I can’t wait to come back with a group of people to try it. The food was excellent! All fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection. The servings were a very good size, too.

Visited this restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime with my Mother in law who has mobility issues. The staff were extremely helpful at getting my mother in law comfortable at a table. Food was nicely cooked and very good value.

We decided to go for the buffet menu and everything was fresh and hot. My partner is vegetarian so we agreed mainly vegetables and tofu and it was spot on. The buffet menu is not as extensive as others but plenty to choose from.

Had chicken in chilli sauce, shredded chilli beef, Singapore noodles, veggie chow mein & tofu in black Bean sauce. All delicious and no MSG & low salt content so didn't need lots of water to drink afterwards.
