Visited with a group of friends around 19.00 hrs. Good friendly service and the food was good but portions were small. The toilets are accessed by climbing a steep and narrow staircase, we had a elderly gentleman with us who walks aided by a walking stick and was unable to navigate the staircase. Asking the staff if they had a more accessible toilet he was directed two doors up the road to an outside toilet behind the Pizza shop "Not acceptable in this day and age" on his return he said it was difficult to find and very dark. Not be visiting again.

I have had several takeaway meals from here and they have always been excellent However tonight’s meal didn’t live up to expectations I ordered my meal and it was delivered post haste with undercooked tasteless keema nan My main dish was okay but yet again the sundries were not as good as I have experienced before On a final not my meal because it exceeded the £15 was supposed to come with poppadoms and onion salad and yet no sign I think in fairness my meal was rushed and I do so hope that this was a one off

I like the food and the service but didn’t like being asked the same 3 questions by 2 different members of male staff. Please try to work out if your customer want to tell you where they are from, where they live now and what they do for employment. Someone’s people don’t want this and just want to have a nice meal out then go home without being asked these questions. You can usually tell if a customer wants to chat so use this and concentrate on the customers that want to chat and not the ones that don’t want to tell you about themselves. It’s quite off putting personally and probably won’t go back. Female customers especially might not want to tell you all about themselves so take this into account. This puts off customers I think.

Booked a table for 7.30. Arrived 7.30 and was told to ‘sit’ at a holding table behind us. What a lovely unwelcome welcome. Nearly walked right back out. Anyway we stayed and after 10 mins we eventually got acknowledged. The owner / bloke in charge was treating the young lady servers with scorn & contempt, I hope it was their first shift and last shift working for the awful manager. We eventually got seated, received our starters which were delicious but waited over an hour for our mains, which again were delicious but was hungry after waiting so long. The manager was continually being horrible to the young servers. I’d have slapped him if I were them. I asked for a jug of water but no glasses! Had to ask for glasses and they bought wine glasses and insisted I had to use them and walked away. He was shouted back and said I don’t want to use a wine glass for water ( tee totaller here so I found that insulting ) . Did eventually get normal glasses. On walking out we were completely ignored - not a thanks, bye, hope you enjoyed your evening, absolutely nothing was said. In fact we had to gently move the manager out of the doorway who was ignoring us whilst eagerly trying to accommodate seating for 10 drunken swearing men. The food was beautiful but the service was abysmal. Shame on you treating those girls like that last Saturday night

New Years Eve meal, seems everyone had a similar idea. But the service is always good here, no exception when we were there either despite the place being full. Starter and main were tasty, quick and as ordered. All together for two people with drinks and a tip was £50 which is very reasonable. Left very satisfied and full. 10/10.

Prawn puree was lovely however the other starters were not up to the usual standard being slightly under cooked. The service was excellent as always but again the main courses were not up to the usual standards. IE I had ayesha special which is supposed to be chicken lamb and large prawns. We had two dishes in total on the table but both dishes only had one prawn and only one dish had one piece of lamb and the rest was chicken. Gutted. Its not the usual. I will be going again and hopefully they will be back to their usual quality.

We have visited many times and the food has always been superb. However on this occasion the food wasn’t upto it’s usual high standard. The lamb in the rogan josh was fatty and tasted like a Greg’s stake bake and the rice appeared as it had been stood on a hot plate and had a crust on top! Chicken in the Korma was quite tough. We felt rushed and pressured by the waiting staff who were quite unfriendly and very unhelpful. We were also shocked by the food hygiene rating of 2 !!! We came for my Husband's son's 11th Birthday a party of 6 - 4 adults and 2 juniors and couldn't have been more looked after. Our friends had been to Ayesha's several times but this was our first visit and we loved it. The food was delicious, all cooked fresh and piping hot. The birthday boy ( and it was his first time in an Indian Restaurant) tried everything much to our delight. We had the usual starters poppadom's and bhaji's but also the king prawn butterfly and mixed tandoori all gorgeous. For mains we had a fish sizzler, tandoori mixed grill and birthday boy had a chicken tikka masala, which I tried and it was the nicest flavoured tikka masala I've tasted. We didn't have room for desserts, obviously, but we brought a cake and a massive firework candle which the restaurant kindly brought out to us and we all sang Happy Birthday. We will be back again very soon, thanks in particular to Elvis who was a top waiter and a joy. Fantastic night out.

This evening I tried to get a takeaway and failed! I called the restaurant at 5:10 and asked if they were open to take take away orders. The guy asked me to wait and went off for a few minutes. He then came back and asked ‘what you want?’ I placed my order and was advised it would be ready at 5:50 for collection. As I was already near the restaurant on my way home and had a restless toddler in the car I ended up going into the restaurant at 5:35. The guy setting up the restaurant ignored me for five minutes whilst he set up a table. When he did come and ask what I wanted he then looked at his watch and said ‘I told you it would be ready at 5:50’ to which I replied ‘yes that’s okay I will wait’. At 5:55 I had no food and the two staff members just kept walking past ignoring me. So I asked a different man if he could find out how long my take away would be, he looked at his watch and replied whilst walking away and with his back to me ‘at least another ten minutes’ so I said ‘I was told 5:50’, he replied ‘well what time did you call’ I told him 5:10. He then replied ‘well we don’t open until 5:30 so it’s not ready yet’. I said ‘well then you shouldn’t have told me 5:50 collection on the phone so I can’t hang around any longer’ he then replied ‘okay I will cancel it, and walked off’ I have never been so shocked in my life. This service was shocking the restaurant does not deserve any customers.

Been visiting this restaurant either to eat in or collect a take-away for many years. This evening New Years Eve quite a few people were opting for take - away as was I, the restaurant itself was not really busy. Out of 5 main course dishes the Chicken Tikka was good but sadly the other four were totally lacking in flavour, extremely bland leaving us all very disappointed. Two of the curries were swimming in oil which had to be skimmed off before serving. Sadly tonight will be our last visit. we will be on the hunt for a new and more consistent curry house for the future.

I was bought up on currys all my life I THINK CURRY HOUSES SHOULD NAME THE CHEF /S IN THE WINDOW THAT night Of your visit and real curry eaters would take note and then if you had that chefs food before You would know if too go in and eat or not as currys in the uk (Sheffield and surrounding areas ) are getting to a point where u must be pissed to eat it. where have the real chefs gone well gutted I WANT REAL FLAVOURS and tastes not something that I could have bought a packet mix and made better myself

Food is what you would expect from a standard Asian menu, but they do some 'house specials' too. Prices are reasonable and drinks are priced sensibly too. No parking is provided by the resturant, but there is a council car park directly opposite that is free up to 3 hours - ample time for a meal.

Really nasty head waiter. Booked a table for 10.30. Ordered starters and main course then the head waiter said we couldn't have any starters because they were closing in an hour! When we questioned this he said that he wasn't bothered if we had any food or not . We had already got the pickle tray and popadoms so we said that we would just pay the bill for what we had already had. The waiter then slammed the bill on the table and said we had ten minutes to finish our popadoms and drinks and leave. He then said that if we weren't out of the restuarante in ten minutes he would call the police to throw us out! We are two middle aged couples going out for a meal not a bunch of teenage drunks. The restuarante was empty and he obviously wanted to close early, but his attitude was disgusting. He said that he wasn't bothered if we gave a bad review of the restuarante so here it is. This person needs sacking . He is not the right person to front a restuarante. We will never go back again!,,,

Moved to chesterfield 3 years ago and I'm sorry to say I've simply not come across any place near Ayesha's in town. I've been disappointed with all of them.As a change of pace me and my dad decided to have a sit in meal rather than a takeaway and we thought we'd return to our favourite. Suffice to say we weren't at all disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect. The staff are very friendly and the service was prompt. We both had the Harilal which I highly recommend to any who like a more mild curry. Had it alongside all the typical sundries, Bhajji, Poppadom, Naan and the dips. Extremely happy the quality hasn't diminished in the time we have been away. Last time we were here, the restaurant was looking a little tired and ready for a bit of TLC. This time we were pleased to find it had been painted and refreshed and looked much smarter than last time. The waiters were efficient and attentive, and the food was really good. It would have been the perfect evening had it not been for the 2 men on a nearby table who made it impossible for us to have a conversation together. One of them had the most hideous, loudest laugh I have ever heard and continuously, completely drowned out anyone else around. The worse thing was that their waiter seemed to be encouraging him and it absolutely ruined our visit. We realise that the restaurant can't chose who goes in there but we won't be going back in a hurry.

Very friendly service by staff. Nice atmosphere a bit dark for reading the menus (the only negative mind), the food was beautiful and if I ever find myself in the area again I will definitely be back !!

I ate at Ayesha's last Wednesday for the first time in about 5 years (due to having moved away from the area but recently retrurned) and it did not disappoint. The quality of the food and the service was as good as ever and reasonable priced. It's the best curry house in Dronfield for eating-in and takeaway.

I have no idea why it's been about 3 years since i last went to Ayesha's. I guess because there are a lot of other Indian restaurants near me to try. A shame as I'd forgotten just how good this place is. Friendly, prompt, polite service. Excellent food and reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit.

We had an extremely tasty meal in this restaurant. the food was superb. However the service was not as good as the food which was a shame, although it was fairly busy for a mid week early evening, so I guess they are a popular place to eat for the locals.

Have tried other Indian restaurants in Dronfield but Ayasha's consistently beats em all. I had a King prawn Kharai and my partner had mixed Tandoori. Both meals were excellent and the service was great with very polite and attentive staff. We'll definitely be going again.

Lovely surroundings and attentive staff. We have been to ayesha a few times always to celebrate birthdays. The food is superb. I think this is the nicest Indian I have found.

We are from Hampshire went for meal there and it is the worst chicken pasanda ever. When it arrived it was bright red obviously they use food colouring I did actually ask if they had brought me the right dish. Manager apologised and asked if I wanted anything else as we had had a long wait for food I said I would just eat the rice , despite not being touched we where still charged for it. After having a lovely day out it spoilt the evening

We often visit Ayesha's and if we are not able to sit down to a meal, the next best thing is a takeaway meal which is excellent value for money. The friendliness of the staff also make any occasion extra special. We have never been disappointed with any meal there and would highly recommend it to anyone.

The food was really excellent but without excellent personal like mahesh, divine, hemuntha the restaurant will not be so friendly and open for tourists. I recommend this place!!!

Went to ayesha's instead of our usual Indian ... Wish we'd not of bothered pickles & starters were "ok" but as for the Mains they were terrible & the service was appalling everything was an effort & the waiter was damn rude can safely say will not be returning & will not be recommending.

This is my favourite Indian in Dronfield, fantastic for eating in or for takeaways. My only issue with the restaurant is that waiters and waitresses don't receive their tips, so if you're tipping for service, don't bother!

Went there with friends on old years night and we all enjoyed s having a starter each followed by 3 main meals with rice and nans between four. Well looked after and even although the restaurant busy we did not have an undue wait for our meals.

Dined here on 05/01/16, food was gorgeous, five of us dined and we all liked what we ate, plenty to choose from the menu. If you like something hot but not over the top try the Kali Mirch (chicken dish) on the Chefs Specials list, you will love it and there is plenty of chicken on the bone. You have to wait a while for your food (not a long time), but it's well worth it, and it also says to me that everything is cooked fresh. This place gets 5 stars from me, so if want a good curry give it try,

First time to try Atesha's, had been told about it, so my husband & I thought we would try it out. We both had a lovely meal. Not overly expensive. Staff were friendly , my only criticism is one of the waiters seemed to be on his mobile quite a lot. Will be back.

We would say that this take away is our favourite place. The curries are always excellent. We tried a fish dish and the king prawn tandoori. Both were delicious. Staff are always pleasant. Recommended.

Really good restaurant they made me a meal with less spice because I am a bit of a whimp with spicy food and it was wonderful. My friends had meals from the menu and were very impressed.

I have much sympathy for the last reviewer. The food was just about average - although I was not happy with the jalfrezi that the waiter splashed on my white shirt as he cleared up. I could hear the staff laughing and swearing and making rude remarks about a customer who had said his meal was wrong. I didn't dare complain as we were waiting for coffee and I didn't want something extra floating in mine. Horrible experience. Staff rude and the place is not very clean. Don't go.

Nice restaurant and nice food. All waiters bar one professional and friendly. One waiter early in the evening who couldn't be bothered to pass my food to me threw it across the table. Over looked that but when he was again extremely rude at the end of the evening I had a quiet word with the manager who was almost just as rude. For that reason can't recommend it. Am sure there must be just as good restaurants around with a better management.

Always come here when in the area for takeaways or to eat in. The Ayeshas special is lovely! Prices are reasonable and it's a lovely place inside.

Food here is lovely, always used to visit for meals/takeaways when I lived in Dronfield. I have to say I have struggled to find anywhere as good. Onion bhajis are particularly good. Decided to drive out to Dronfield to visit. It was well worth the drive. Food is still outstanding. Prices have gone up since I last visited but it is still good value for money. The only reason I have not given 5stars is due to service. Staff are friendly but a few mistakes were made. Incorrect drinks and a jug of water with no glasses to put it in. Apart from that would highly recommend.

Just wanted to say this restaurant has kept the same standards for many years the staff may come and go but the quality doesn't . Have eaten in and had takeaways and the food is always amazing and the staff are always lovely if you haven't been you must try it .

We have been here many times but recently things have gone down hill, the service is terrible even though the place was empty, the food is ok but some of our group didn't like it, for example a prawn curry with 6 small prawns ! The older waiters are unfriendly and don't seem to care very much, all in all I think we will be going up the road to the other curry restaurant.

Ate here with a group of friends one night between Christmas and New Year, all the food was very tasty and reasonably good value for money, had starter and main and was full, cost around £20 a head including drinks. One thing I will say is it was quite cold in the restaurant on entry, I was ok as I plonked myself next to a radiator but the rest of the party with the exception of the person sat opposite me were quite cold throughout the meal, but all had a good time irrespective of that.Service was spot on.

Ordered at 5pm told it would be 60 minutes called after 60 minutes to be told it would probably about another 20 minutes!! Not good enough on a Tuesday night. I’ll wait to see if the wait was worth it??? It did take a long time to arrive but the wait was worth it, the food was delicious and I would definitely order again

Your meat cuts are awful, fatty and bad, bad cuts of chicken, you’re using cheap cuts to maximise on profits but yet charging £12.50 for some curries which is extortionate.

Missing items in our order, replaced with items we didn’t want and the curry’s we ordered were lacking in flavour. The lamb biryani tasted more like mutton, extremely chewy. The nans were broken up and tiny for what they charge…Overall, extremely dissatisfied and would not recommend.

We called in late on a Friday night and they would have been quite within their rights to turn us away but stayed back to serve us a beautiful meal. One of the 3 of us has coeliac disease, but was catered to without any fuss and was quite well the next day still. I would like to go back... hopefully soon!
