Axis Bar & Restaurant in Islington

Hemos comido varias veces en el restaurante Axis; Té de la tarde y fuera del menú antes. Todos han sido muy bien preparados y deliciosos. Mi cosa favorita en este momento (desde que cambió el menú) es la hamburguesa cheddar con batatas fritas. El precio es lo que usted esperaría de un restaurante de hotel. También es competitivo con la calle principal local. Hay mucho espacio ya que el restaurante está abierto. Es para silla de ruedas y para bebés. Todo está en un nivel y se puede ver de un extremo a otro. (Ver adjunto) Las instalaciones están muy limpias. Decidimos organizar una función familiar privada en el restaurante Axis. Pensé que iba a escribir una reseña porque tuvimos una gran experiencia de principio a fin. Me pusieron en contacto con María (que está a cargo de los eventos) y, a pesar de no haberla conocido en persona, fue de gran ayuda para planificar el evento. Se apresuró a resolver cualquier problema o pregunta que surgiera y me ayudó a planificar todo, desde atender a los planes de asientos. Ella era flexible con el servicio de comidas que me ayudó a mantener el día dentro del presupuesto. El gerente del restaurante era Adam. Nada era demasiado Pasamos un tiempo revisando mis necesidades y la logística de la misma y se ocupó de todos ellos. Utilizó su conocimiento y comprensión de tales eventos para ayudarme a tomar las mejores decisiones, desde decoraciones, planos de asientos, reorganización de las mesas, barra libre, mesa de refrescos, piezas centrales y música, entre otros. Finalmente sin olvidar al personal del día; Barry, el chef (ver fotos de alimentos adjuntas), Cosmin, Alex e Ilayda trabajan duro en el fondo para que el evento sea un éxito. Yo recomendaría este lugar.

Difusión decente de comida caliente disponible junto con cereales y pasteles. Jugos frescos y frutas también estaba disponible.

Este es un modesto hotel Hilton con un aún más modesto Bar Eje y restaurante. Cuando llegamos aquí, parecía como una zona de recepción muy pequeña con comida! No se destacan como un Hilton. Sin embargo, no puedo quejarme del servicio o la comida. Ambos eran excepcionales. La comida estaba recién preparado y muy sabrosa. Lo mejor es que las raciones son del tamaño justo. No es demasiado grande! El pan que salieron era encantadora y cálida, las ensaladas frescas. Mi plato de pasta sabor de pasta fresca. Tenían una buena selección de vinos, sin embargo, sommelier. No me sorprende no es tan pijo como otros hoteles de la cadena Hilton. . Es bastante escondido en Angel. No parecen ser demasiadas personas alojarse aquí y el restaurante estaba bastante vacío un sábado por la noche en el comienzo de verano. Sólo significaba que el lugar le faltaba un poco de ambiente y animación. Pero para ser sincero, mi pareja y yo nos quedamos encantados de tener una cena tranquila en un lugar tranquilo! Londres es siempre demasiado lleno, así que este es un buen lugar para estar tranquilo. Nos encantó la comida. Ten cuidado de la carne de cordero y hombros, ya que ambos tienen un suplemento de £9. Pero en general una gran noche. Volvería otra vez. Gran servicio de Hakan y Felicity.

Incluimos el desayuno en nuestra estadía en el hotel. Ofrecen la típica comida de autoservicio, excepto que el sábado hubo un poco de delicioso salmón ahumado y más opciones de fruta. Los huevos son con discos fritos precocinados o huevos revueltos lechosos muy húmedos que eran desagradables. Los huevos a pedido serían mucho más adecuados en un restaurante Hilton

Como ha dicho un crítico anterior, puede usar una Tarjeta Gourmet Society en este restaurante, al menos puede según el sitio web de GS. Visité ayer con un viejo amigo a la hora del almuerzo en busca de un lugar tranquilo para alcanzar a los demás. La hora era 12:15 y el restaurante estaba desierto. Indagué sobre el uso de la tarjeta GS, pero no obtuve una respuesta positiva. Después de cinco minutos de jugar, el gerente llegó y me dijo que NO. Incluso le mostré la página web de GS, pero fue en vano. Su actitud nos hizo sentir no bienvenidos y decidimos irnos. Una experiencia miserable y un restaurante para evitar.

Went here at lunch time where we were only people who were here. Waiter was very fast and personable. Food was alright. Chicken salads had about 50 tomatoes and not much chicken but, most people do love tomatoes I guess.

visited here last Saturday night. I have a gourmet society card which you can use here and get 50% off food. The restaurant is pleasant, in with the bar so contemporary surroundings. It was almost empty so not much atmosphere but the waiting staff were pleasant. The food was actually very good with decent sized portions. However the let down was the drinks availability. We asked for three different wines on the list none of which were in stock. We settled on a bottle of piniot grigio rose which was fine but when we wanted a second bottle this was also out of stock so we had to order a more expensive bottle of rose which we did not like as much as the first one. After our meal we decided to have liquers. Again, the liquers we wanted were not available- in fact it was easier to ask what they had ! When we asked the waiter why the stock was so low they said because it was the end of the month! I don't think this is a satisfactory reason for a 4 star hotel to have so few options. For this reason would be a bit reluctant to visit here again which is a shame because as I mentioned before the food was fine.

It's a hotel dining room and this Hilton is nearer the Travelodge end of the quality spectrum (i.e. cheap-and-cheerful) but if you can set that aside you can have a very pleasant meal. The atmosphere is quiet and unhurried and the service was attentive throughout the evening. The food was well cooked, tasty and nicely presented though not memorable. We chose it for the Taste card discount which made it good value.

We enjoyed a couple of meals here when we stayed at the hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive but the restaurant didn't have many people dining there when we visited. The atmosphere is okay and service was adequate. We enjoyed the lamb shank, chicken curry and burgers and were satisfied with our choices. Meals were a little slow coming out and this would be an issue if the restaurant was busy.

Came here a little while ago with my boyfriend for his birthday and loved every second of it. Although they didn't have the dessert I wanted which I saw on a sample menu before I came (I'm a dessert person) they had other great alternatives. We were going to the theatre after so they had timed it so that we could get their on time, so we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal without feeling in a rush. Great service and food.

We sometimes go to the Axis Bar and Restaurant for special occasions as the staff is amazing at making everyone feel welcome and making sure the evening goes well. The food is good but the hospitality really puts it on another level. Never busy and great service really make it worth stopping by especially if you are staying at the hotel, but can be great for special nights!

Had a lovely champagne afternoon tea with my husband, our mums and our 9 year old daughter. My daughters dietary needs were noted at the time of booking and a separate cake stand was set up just for her without having to mention it again, it was nice to see that all was taken into account:) Staff were also very friendly and attentive throughout, would recommend and return again..Thank you!

Gisteren met mijn oma een heerlijke afternoon tea gehad bij Axis bar and Kitchen. Het was even zoeken naar de locatie maar het zit dus blijkbaar in het Hilton. Geweldige service. Heerlijk eten en onbeperkt thee. Trek er wel veel tijd voor uit want het is veel! De scones waren favoriet en toen we vroegen of we nog meer mochten was dit geen enkel probleem. Kwam er zelfs niet bij op de rekening.Aanrader dus!

Afternoon Tea with Mum who visits London a couple of times a year so we always spoil ourselves... Having stayed at the Hilton for my civil-partnership back in 2012 she wanted to come back and indulge.As Saturday (12/07) was gorgeously sunny we wanted to sit outside but told this wasn't possible due to the tiered cake stand, although I'm sure the tables (and us) would have coped. It took a good ten minutes for anybody to pop back to our table to offer tea, but once this arrived so did the food in little under ten minutes. The scones and clotted cream were fantastic, and we took our time picking off the chocolate eclairs that were bloated with cream (delicious) and dainty fruit tarts. The fruit smoothie is a nice touch and adds extra height to the tired cake stand. The Victoria sponge was a little disappointing, dry and without jam. We were not offered to 'upgrade' to a glass of champagne, nor checked on to see if we would like our tea refilled. The atmosphere was relaxed, peaceful, but would have appreciated more attentive wait staff. Definitely worth stopping by if you want to get away from busy Upper St. for an hour or so... While I didn't, I'd probably have teamed Afternoon Tea with a fresh zesty cocktail.

We have eaten breakfast here several times and everything has always been perfect. We came as a party of our (two couples). This time we decided to try the dinner of mixed sea food platter for two with a glass of champagne each. The welcome was great. Two glasses of the champagne arrived with cork in the glass. I asked for them to be replaced. Waited some time. The waitress thought two of us didn't want champagnes and she didn't understand about the cork!We decided to order one portion of fries each. They only brought two instead of four. We then asked for the other two. Some twenty minutes later another two two food platters arrived with two portions of fries which we hadn't ordered!! They had misunderstood our order for the missing two portions of fries for two more sea food platters.The staff tried hard and were pleasant. I was born in London and my English is of a good standard so I was not really sure what happened!On the plus side the food was good and the champagne tasted great without the cork.I think on reflection we will stick with the breakfasts. Shame this could have been a nice evening out!

Wir hatten von Groupon einen Gutschein für einen Burger mit Pommes Frittes und einen Cocktail pro Person. Wir reservierten telefonisch und wurden bei unserer Ankunft sehr freundlich von der F&B Assistant Managerin empfangen.Das Hotel Restaurant, dass sich eigentlich direkt in der Lobby des Hilton Hotel Islington befindet, war bis auf 2 weitere Gäste, die ebenfalls einen Gutschein hatten, leer. Wir Cocktails, sowie das Essen waren sehr gut und die Portion auch ausreichend groß.Das Ambiente war in Ordnung, allerdings hat man den Blick direkt auf den Parkplatz des Hotels. Alles in allem war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis mit dem Gutschein sehr in Ordnung und wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend.

Brilliant service, tasty fresh food, average price and nice people who frequent this place. We had Valentine dinner, and tasted all the things in the menu for Valentine special and from starter to dessert, all was perfect.

Went 2 Axis as a Valentine treat 15/2/13 the staff were welcoming, well presented and made us feel at home. The Axis is adjacent 2 the Hilton Reception but you soon forget that. The food was top class 10 out of 10 as was the service we had booked with our Wowcher voucher and was not treated any different from full paying guess Thank You for making our Valentine so special we will come again x

Arrived at 9am on 2nd Jan and was shown to our reserved table by the window. Served with fresh orange juice immediately. The all you can breakfast buffet was superb. Plenty of everything. We were served with champagne (not cava) and a large amount of smoked salmon. It did't stop there! We ordered a cheese omelette each, made to order and brought to our table. At this point we were full but we could have carried on with made to order waffles and pancakes. Overall experience was the best! The service from Laura was great. Time to talk to us and give us some attention. This is the third time we dined here and already looking forward to returning.10/10

I found a deal via Travelzoo for this location and a cheese and wine experience. A friendly welcome before being shown to our table, we were served delicious cheese and a fruity bottle of wine,before being left to chat and munch away. I would have preferred a few more crackers however for £19 it really can not be complained about.It is set out of the way and if I had not seen the voucher, I would not have ever considered eating here.

We arrived at the restaurant as it is directly next door to the business centre we were visiting. Had not prebooked as did not know the area, but restaurant was fairly empty. The waiter said that we could have a table no problems - I mentioned Taste Card and all of a sudden we couldn't use it as we hadn't prebooked. I agreed that at incredibly busy times I could understand this policy but couldn't understand it when the restaurant was practically empty. I would definitely have expected more from the world's leading hotel chain. Very very disappointing. Would not recommend unless you prebook.

Had a bottle of wine and a cheeseboard for two, food and service were great and the restaurant itself very cool looking, enjoyed very much, thank-you

Good food; LOVED the lamb! (just ask the chef to watch the pepper!). The breakfast buffet was quite nice and offered a wide variety.

We discovered Axis bar & Kitchen via good old Groupon and have revisited since. The menu is reasonable priced, very well presented delicious and scrumptious. They also have a childrens menue, so we will be revisiting during half term with a few groups and their kids. Location at Hilton, Islington; very accessable, transport convenient, comfortable, and clean and the staff are very friendly. Lovely resaurant to visit.
