Avondale Bar and Grill in North Lanarkshire

My son and daughter and a friend had a joint first communion day here on Saturday. The staff were welcoming and the food was delicious.Not many people know this restaurant but it is a hidden gem and we will be going back for lunch soon .Sitting looking onto the little lake and fountain is very relaxing..Highly recommend

Terribly slow service every time we go. Food is delicious though. Wish they opened later it's a beautiful place to sit and relax after work.

when searching for a venue to host our meal and evening reception for our wedding we came across this place, and we are so glad we did. we phoned up and spoke to Ross(great guy) to see if we could go over and have a look and see what they could offer and straight away the place did not disappoint either of us, on the lead up to the wedding both my wife and i took our families over to have lunch and it was amazing Ross and all the staff always made us feel welcome and were great. When we arrived for our evening part of the wedding for the meal and party the place was beautiful all the staff in there were so friendly and kind. this continued throughout the night.. both of us would recommend here to any one looking for a place for there wedding reception and meal. also all the guests cannot stop talking about how lovely the meal was and commented on how great the place is

We had my daughters Communion here on Sunday 20.05.18. We had a fantastic day! All our family and friends have been raving about the food, the venue and the staff. Ross and his staff have been fantastic from start to finish and ensured my little girl had the best day and she did. I will definitely be back to eat at the Avondale Bar & Grill in the future. We just wish we came across this place sooner!

Had a lovely lunch with my partner here today. Staff were very friendly and food was really good, will defo go back.

This is just across the road from the Hilton hotel. I ate here rather than the Hilton - based on recommendations from colleagues at work (office just over the road). I was the only person in there but the waitress was brilliant - so helpful even when I asked for something not on the menu. I had Spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread and a side salad - washed down with a large glass of Rioja (VERY good for a house red). All for a price that I would have had to pay for the wine alone in London.

Amazing service, great menu, reasonable prices, food was delicious, wine perfect. Waiter and waitresses could not have been better.

We came here as a large group and had a most enjoyable, deliberately quick, lunch. The macaroni cheese and chips were particularly nice but everything we had was good. It's not haute cuisine but it is a good place for a casual lunch.

Excellent birthday dinner, bespoke menu created and food quality and service were excellent. Definitely recommend for a special occasion celebration.

I'm a regular visitor to the Bar Grill as I work on the Park, the food is fantastic, the surroundings very nice, and the price very low. I have to say I don't think you can beat it in terms of value and quality! I'd highly recommend it. TIP: if like me you work on the Park an extra discount available.

Recently had the pleasure of lunching here with friends and the food was superb, really varied menu catering for everyone. Great location for lunch meetings in the business park and it is only 5 mins from M74 and M8. Staff very helpful and professional.

Great location and ideal place for business meetings, lunch and breakfast. Used for buffet lunch delivered to the office and it is consistently good. Brilliant food and fantastic staff. Always friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. They open early too which is ideal for a spot of breakfast before the day starts.

I've used the Avondale a few times for convenience. The food is reasonable both in price and quality but the service is slow. It seems to take an age for the food to come. Staff are freindly enough, toilets are clean. Nothing special.

Caught up with a friend for lunch here. Food was tasty and a good potion size, friendly low key dining. Worth a visit.. I had the macaroni cheese and garlic bread, both were delicious.

Eat in in this place regularly but this is my first review. Every time I frequent the bar and grill I'm welcomed with a warm smile and genuine chat. The food is always first class and you can tell it's all made from scratch on the premises. I often have the specials of the day which is usually something a bit different and always tasty! Or if I want to indulge a bit I'll have one of the home made pizzas, which I hear they make their own doughs daily! Definitely worth a visit!

Visited this restaurant today for lunch with work friends. The food was lovely lots to choose from the menu with very quick service. Really enjoyed my choice of pizza. This was really tasty and portion size is plentiful.

Work nearby and this is great for lunch. Lovely place with really friendly staff and good food. Just working through the menu a little bit at a time, highly recommend s visit.

We stay near by and go at least once a week, the food is excellent and extremely good value for money, dont think a lot of people know about this place but it is certainly worth the visit, only thing is being in an industrial estate it closes at 7 and is not open weekends which is a shame as i would definetly use for lunches at weekend. Staff very plesant and decor very nice with lovely water features outside.

Decent food and good service with nice decor. Nothing startling but you don't expect that from somewhere in the middle of a trading estate. Good for business lunch.

The bar itself is small and when a lot of people converge it can be crowded. The staff were great and did work very hard. Had the festive menu and ordered a steak pie but the pie really was not a pie. There were portions of meat on a plate with a large puff pastry placed on top. It was tasty admittedly, but I was expecting something different. All,in all ok.

Really good food, contemporary setting and nice view of a water feature outside. Great for a business lunch or meeting friends. Not really a family restaurant as it's in the business park.

me and a few friends choose to gonto the avondale to get something to eat and get a catch up, when we walked in the staff we cheery and took us to our table, the menu had a great selection, the food was great and the staff were also very attentive, some light humour also! would definitely recommend the avondale to everyone

Quite a strange location, in an office building. I visited as an alternative to the extortionately priced restaurant at the Hilton I was staying at. Nice enough restaurant and staff, food not so good but far cheaper alternative to the Hilton. Sadly the restaurant closes at 7pm so not really much use after that, and at 6pm the restaurant was completely empty.If they were to open up the restaurant in the evenings and improve the food a little they could make a fortune here, as there is literally nowhere else to eat locally for people staying at the hotel.

I stayed in the hotel over the road but never eat there anymore as I was once dealt a ready meal complete with floating label. Thought I'd give this place a go instead. I just wanted a quick bite in a relaxing environment and that's what I got. I ordered sea bass with salad and jalopeno dressing. It was excellent and just what I wanted. I will be dining here every time I stay.

Lunch on Friday 22nd August. Arrived to an attitude of indifference from the front of house staff. Where was the warm welcome, an introduction to the menu and maybe a recommendation or two? Three staff on duty out front and I wouldn't employ any of them. As for pro-active 'hands on' management - totally invisible. We had what looked like inexperienced staff wandering about in a dysfunctional state and making zero attempt to positively engage with the customers . Note to the owners - This team could have doubled our spend if they had shown any interest in our table (and our requirements). Totally reactive service - we had to ask them for additional rounds of drinks as they made studious efforts to ignore us - we had to ask them as to progress in the kitchen. The kitchen staff appeared to be having timing problems in getting the food out and the front of house staff thought they would just maintain 'radio silence' regarding what was actual going on. When the meal was served - zero check that all was well and would another round of drinks be required.The food itself was acceptable (but nothing to write home about), the décor is a bit tired and the management save money by having no paper towels in the loo. For me the final nail in the coffin was the awful level of customer service. When a restaurant has no sign of pro-active management on the floor and staff who actively ignore customers and their requirements - then the owners shouldn't be surprised if the takings in the till fall short of target. If I had shares in this business I'd be selling them on Monday morning.Would I go back? Not a chance. If you are desperate for sustenance in Bellshill - the local McDonalds offers a far warmer welcome and their kitchen staff can serve up a lunch before you feel like you are a victim on an involuntary fasting programme.
