Overpriced bland food I would not recommend this place food was terrible and slow service I would avoid

Went there twice. Once for drinks, it was a wake for the late Iain Irvine. Then again for dinner, the food was ok, it was part of a 5pm or Groupon deal, cannot remember. The place was mobbed and I think the service was not ready for this turn out. Place now shut. This is going to be refurbished for a new a brasserie.

Had poached egg starter wife had pate egg cooked to perfection and presentation was top notch my wife said the pate was lovely and again presentation delightfull. Mains we both had steak pie veg and chips which was lovely the stew tasted lovely and could tell veg was fresh before tasting from the beautiful colors of the broc carrots and green beans the handcuts lovely also. Nice setting also and staff appear freindly although maybe a wee bit run off there feet

Had lunch here recently and was very disappointed. The homemade lasagne was tasteless and lukewarm, the battered fish and chips were also lukewarm, the chips were soggy as if they were cooked in oil that was not hot enough, the mushy peas tasted lovely but again they were not hot enough. The "acting manager" offered my wife another lasagne which we declined,paid the full bill and left. Not a good experience at all

Went as a group for food. Quick service, food was lovely and cocktails were nice as well. Good location.

Nice Bar with the restaurant up at the back , we had to wait a while for mains but it was quite busy, staff are nice and friendly, all meals were nice, well apart from the salsa..yuk! would return though.

We went here to try it as it was under new management, well we were not disappointed it was fantastic. Starters were just the right amount we had pate and it was very tasty. The staff were fantastic very attentive bordering on overly at times. The main courses all were superb very well presented and tasty. We spotted someone with a drink and asked what it was looked good and was told it was a candy floss martini it had wrapped candy floss around the glass followed by the usual effects of a martini and oh my let's just say you have to try it. Half way through our night a singer came on in the bar area who was really good and created a fabulous atmosphere to Finnish of our night all in all great value great atmosphere and above all fab food just what you want for a night out

Went to this place with my wife. Food excellent great service. And they serve perroni on draught which is a bonus. Definitely be back for another visit

I have been to the avenue a few times for dinner and lunch. The food is always great and the service is absolutely brilliant. The staff are lovely. The last time I visited, one of our group needed gluten free and the waiter was really helpful in identifying the things on the menu that were suitable.

After shopping we popped in for a quick meal. We were attended to by pleasant staff and served with our drinks more or less immediately. We didn't have long to wait for our main meal and the presentation was top class. The food was also very good. The only downside to this restaurant is that it can be a bit noisy and you can hear conversations three tables away from you.

I have eaten in the restaurant quite a few times and the food and the service has always been very good. But I went for lunch on good Friday and I feel the standards have slipped quite considerably. Ordered a bottle of white wine which when it arrived was warm, with no explanation or apology. Meal arrived and again I was not asked if I would want sauce/vinegar. And I think they have dumbed down with the food, Used to be real home made chips now fries out of a packet.

Took my mum for an early Mother's Day lunch. We had the two course lunch menu. Was very quiet it was only ourselves and another table in - it was midweek though. Starters were so yummy. I had the smoked salmon which was delicious and so fresh. My mum went for the chicken wings which she really enjoyed. For mains I chose the chicken stuffed with black pudding, the chicken was tender and moist, veg was lovely, a really lovely meal, well presented. My mum chose the macaroni cheese and said it was the nicest she had had. Decor has changed since I was last there, very trendy looking. Also exceptionally clean. Overall yummy food, will definitely visit again for food and maybe a cocktail or two. Worth a visit.

Visited recently to try out the restaurant gaving not been for a long while. We were seated up the back and initially I found the restaurant to be a bit cold. The waitress was attentive and friendly, the wait for our food though was lengthy. Starters of creamy garlic mushrooms and soup were enjoyable. The mains took awhile to be served and I was dissapointed, two fish and chips and chicken goujons - the home cooked chips with the fish were almost brown, the fish in batter tasted watery & soggy and the pea puree looked dried up - visually it wasnt appealing but it was edible. The chicken goujons were fine but the french fries were not crispy just pale and limp, the coleslaw also looked like it had been sitting out in heat. Overall the £9.95 menu is good value as portion sizes are good its just the food on our visit was a bit of a let down and for that reason Im not sure I'll rush back.

It's true! People do win Facebook competitions My daughter and I attended an evening at Avenue Airdrie to re-launch their upgraded premises and a taster of some new menu items. We were very impressed by the decor and most of all the young friendly very vibrant staff! We had champagne to start and wines of our choice. Canapés were delicious especially the haggis and black pudding bonbons! Then a starter of bruschetta... I had the duo of beef main, mini steak pie, roast sirloin, buttery mash and peas, I couldn't fault it. My daughter had grilled salmon fillet with crushed new potatoes, ratatouille and a basil veloute, she said every bite was wonderful. To finish we had cocktails from their new candy shop cocktail menu, a bounty with Malibu, cream, rum etc with a bounty bar and a candy floss cocktail which had real candy floss in it! We had a wonderful evening, so did the 24 other couples. We will definitely be back to this fun restaurant serving amazing food at very good prices.... well done

Sister 60th party, booked entire restaurant for the evening, you'd think we would be treated like royalty...eh NO. I think the scene was set when we wanted to order our first drinks, we were told we had to order our drinks at the bar, all 25 of us!! Bizarre?? more of that to come...went to the bar ordered a pint of Best ( Scottish ale) pint was flat So ordered a pint of Guinness..flat. Now interestingly I was in the pub two evening before and the beer was flat then?? Bizarre! Coincidence?? So I ordered some food( burger) as did my daughter, took a while to come, when it did mines was very very red inside. So I called over the waiter to point it out. He took it to the kitchen and returned saying the chef said it was supposed to be like that...at this point I pointed to my daughters burger which was cooked perfectly and asked which one was cooked right? He then asked if I wanted anything else? I said I'd just like the burger cooked!! When It finally came out, 15 min later !! It was fine but clearly I was now eating on my own! Now here comes the really interesting bit, after dinner I went to the bar to get around in, 9 drinks £35, got my card out to pay, only to be told their card machine wasn't working !! Really ? Really really?? I had to walk to a cash line machine in the rain to get money to pay for my round! Bizarre? No not really, no PDA for card payment, no gas in cellar for at least 3 days !! All the signs of a business dying, shame as it does and probably moves to new management, this is the legacy they leave.

Great meal served by lovely staff! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice and friendly restaurant.

Popped in for some lunch with a friend on Tuesday, service was excellent from the two young girls nice and friendly also the food was a bonus, first time and will definitely be back. Excellent!

We had booked a table for dinner, arrived and asked to wait 15 minutes for our table to be ready.Only two members of staff serving both the restaurant and bar - clearly stressed and struggling to cope with the amount of customers.We had glasses / plates being smashed and then a customer returned a dirty glass.As the restaurant was busy - we asked if we would be waiting long for our food and told no by waitress. This proved to be incorrect as we waiting over 40 minutes for our food.Our kids meals were brought out before 20 minutes before we were advised that the chef had dropped the chicken of my partners meal on the floor and that it would only be another 5 minutes before our meals would be out. No apology and when mentioned that we had been waiting a long time were told by the waitress "I feel your pain" - totally unacceptable reply!My vegetable fajitas were then brought out, clearly had been sitting as were lukewarm and not sizzling on the sizzler as expected. Cheese had partially melted and was congealed and the tortillas were burnt and hard. When questioned the waitress as to why the fajitas were lukewarm and not sizzling, I was advised that she witnessed the fajitas being transferred from the frying pan to the sizzler dish. She may have done but these were then left to sit to wait for my partners meal.A couple of minutes later another customer had ordered the same fajitas which came out sizzling - this left us feeling just wanting to leave the restaurant as our experience was terrible.When paying the bill my partner highlighted the situation again with the fajitas and the comparision with the other customer - this was denied again by the waitress.It was such as shame as the quality of the food was good, but on whole the service was absolutely shocking and I would not recommend anyone to attend the restaurant.

If I had to write this review based on food alone it would be 5/5 for me but unfortunately the service for drinks / dinner let them down waiting 15 minutes for drinks to be served and getting it incorrect is a bit disappointing, food was excellent but we were seated at ordered at 7:30pm and didn't get our dinner till 9:30pm... bit to long to be honest especially the fact we only got main courses no starters were ordered would have appreciated a % off the bill as service was lack lustre but was laughed at by waitress for suggesting such a discount. Food 5* service 1*

I visited here with my friends and it has fairly gone downhill since my last visit. The toilets were disgusting. Our food arrived and it wasnt up to much.It was expensive for what you get. New owners have wasted a good venue.

We had a really nice meal here recently but the service was a tad slow.A limited evening menu but good choices and excellent standard of food.Nice helpful staff but perhaps too few!The toilets need more attention throughout the evening and this is a problem I've noticed on previous visits, although I do understand its the clients who misuse them. A good experience and a nice atmosphere in the bar.

Couldn't believe it when we asked for prosecco and realised they were serving us straight from Aldi. And they charged £20 a bottle for the privilege. The food was mediocre and the service was just ok. But no wonder, they don't treat their staff well at all! Safe to say I won't be back.

This used to be a great wee hidden gem but it has been bought over by new owners now. Looks nice enough due to the refurb but thats were it ends. Firstly drinks were horrible tasting from the soda gun. Menus were limited and had no prices on them. Just a piece of photocopied paper stuck on a wooden clipboard. The starter arrived with a big blob of paty slopped onto the toast. Looked liked someone had took a dump on my plate and it was watery. Service was poor and inattentive despite it being empty (That should have been the warning sign). Main course burgers were pure red in the middle and soggy. Did not try the desserts as the choice was limited and I had enough by this point. Used to love this place but it's completely rubbish now.

Looked on the menu, knew what was having to then discover an over priced Christmas menu that set us back for 4 people £88. That was not including drinks the whole bill with 8 drinks was £135. Food okay left mist of my turkey dinner and wasn't even asked by anyone chef or young gentleman waiter if there was a problem. First time here very disappointed won't be hurrying back.

Went for birthday meal now under new management very friendly and efficient but the menu no way .The choice was a very limited 2 or3 course menu no ala carte at all.For me this is a must Ashame but will not be rushing back.

Fancied eating out instead of cook i ng Sunday lunch and had eaten here before. Ordered soft drinks, two of the hree glasses brought were dirty, looked like coffee grounds.Complained and two new drinks brought one of these glasses also dirty, we decided to drink with a straw from the cans. Husband ordered mushrooms as a starter, we couldn't believe it when his plate arrived to see one button mushroom! My daughter and I h as fish and chips which was greasy and the chips were flaccid. My daughter ordered cheesecake for dessert and we had to ask for it ten minutes later. This place used to be good I'm hoping this was just an off day

Went here for a friends birthday, server was helpful and fun, all 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, between the starter and the main we were too full for desert. Good selection in wine and cocktails. Would recommend. Bruschetta starter and Chicken and mushroom pasta were amazing!

This was our second visit, the first being over a year ago.......It was a Sunday afternoon and the pub/restaurant weren't overly busy. Food pretty non descript, the gambas pil pil was a version surely made up by the chef as nothing like the authentic Spanish version !Service incredibly slow......Second and last visit I'm afraid

New decor since we were last in and a new more simpler menu although we always tend to go for the tempura prawns which were sadly missing this time round. Lovely staff very able and pleasant

Ok ! Waited 40 min for starter ,waited 1hour for main s terrible . Bill £147 what a waste of money a ain't kidding !! thought this place had good reviews . Never!!!! Seven meals, seven , disappointed people , toilets frozzzzen and no to clean . Pub grub , a lot better .. waiter . So much under pressure , never had a clue. What a joke !!!!!!! We visit here all the time as it's the best restaurant in the Lanarkshire area, i would say better than a lot of city centre restaurants.As usual the service and quality of food was second to none.Our bill was under £45 which included 2 kids meals, and starters and mains for all adults, plus drinks each.Come here time and time again and I am never disappointed, chefs make an extra special effort and it's not your usual pub grub.Love Avenue x

Arrived early for our 15.30 reservation on Wenesday afternoon but had a lovely warm welcome from a very nice, helpful young man.Drinks served, orders taken and when we mentioned it was uncomfortably chilli the young man did his best to turn on the heating. It transpired that the six other diners were also really cold.Starters of ham hough and bruschetta arrived, well presented and very tasty.Haddock Mornay and steak and black pudding pie for mains. Both very tasty but the pastry lid on the pie could have been much better.We would have had a dessert if we hadn't been so cold, hopefully next time, the young man did promise he would do something about the heating.We will pop in again next time we're in the area. Xxx

We have been to this restaurant a few times since we moved to Airdrie and it hardly ever disappointed. Always a good choice on the menu, great service and a welcoming atmosphere. Missing the round booths they had before the refurbishment, but as anything, that's a matter of taste. Still, the food and service have not changed since the makeover and I would always recommend this place.

Had a fantastic .meal here, staff very helpful.I had the mussels in white wine for starter.Sea bass for my main, it was delicious.Portion side was ample for me, some may say it wasn't enough!I thought it was just right. Special menu 2 courses for just over £12. And 3 course for £15. Great value for the attention to detail . The staff were so helpfully and couldn't do enough.

Having looked at the menu on the website we were looking forward to this, but on arrival the menu was actually much more limited. The place was also very noisy because the meal section was close to the bar and it lacked any real atmosphere. We had to wait 50 minutes for our main courses, which when they arrived were piping hot. However the food was pretty mediocre and none of us felt our dishes were particularly enjoyable. The waitresses were very pleasant, but overall the meal was disappointing and I doubt if any of us would want to go back. What would we recommend ? Well the chips were quite good, and the caramel apple pie was quite reasonable.

Booked a table for 6 to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday party. Had been in a few days before to check the menu out which looked great. When the menu was put in front of us last night it was totally different. When I questioned this the waiter said they were in the process of changing the menu. Would've been good if someone told us beforehand. Not much choice! Food ok but not great. Fish and chips....no veg, no salad!! I had been in earlier in the day with table decorations but they hadn't bothered to put them out! Won't be back!

Went to avenue on a Saturday afternoon with a friend. We didn't have to wait to be seated the service we received was fantastic. The set menu was So cheap and delicious. Definitely recommend

I regularly eat here at lunch. Fantastic menu. Especially recommend the prawn starter and the lasagne. Good food. Great service. Reasonably priced. Staff will prepare your lunch order if you phone ahead which is great if time is of the essence.

Food was amazing as always staff friendly and attentive but the new look layout of the premises are more family oriented than for couples the way it used to be. So fantastic if you are taking your kids but not so much so if you want a romantic meal for 2 tables are so close together you can hear everyones conversation so we were a bit disappointed but as I said at the beginning the food was still amazing

Took my mother in for lunch around Mother's Day, was set menu and I got vegetarian lasagna which was nothing to rave about was bit sloppy as too much white sauce, my mother thought she'd ordered lasagna but it was only vegetable lasagna on the menu which staff said they could not change so she ended up with 2 starters! We got chocked by smoke fumes coming from kitchen, They had the cheek to charge me the full price of the set menu which is reason I've never set foot in place again

Had a fantastic meal a bite pricey but you get what you pay for the cocktails where amazing the décor has soft lighting and perfect for a romantic eventing out the bar staff were excellent and nothing was to much trouble for them there where doormen on that night was worried that meant it was going to be a bit noisy but the doormen were very professional overall a great night will be back

Been a while since I visited Avenue , Saturday night superb cocktails what more can you ask for in Airdrie Great selection , superior quality glassware , excellent presentation and brill taste! Looking forward to my next visit which won't be as long away !

The staff here are very friendly and welcoming, food was beautiful but the starters are very small in size especially for the prices but cannot fault the quality of food. Reccommend

I visited this bar/restaurant with my wife and granddaughter as my good lady has been here on numerous occasions. I would recommend this place for families, couples and business meals. I will be back in the future.

Fantastic food with a fantastic atmosphere and staff that can't do enough for you no request is to big or to small

This resturant was recommended by the owner of our bed and breakfast. We were able to walk there. Our food was very good as was the service. Except it took a period of time to get our bill, that being said we being Americans expected our check right away but found that at most eating establishments they expect you to linger. I would definitely recommend to visitors.

Had heard good reports but unfortunately we were very disappointed. Service was great and the staff were very friendly. The food was a huge disappointment - burgers weren't cooked properly and the pasta was tasteless. The ferrero rocher tart was tasteless and not edible. We were en route to an event so never mentioned to staff. I wouldn't go back anytime soon.

We had planned to go somewhere else for lunch but it was not available, we then decided to try the Avenue again, having previously been for dinner. On arrival at approximately 12:30 there was no one in the Bar/restaurant, not normally a good sign, when queried we were told they had just opened. There was a reasonable menu selection with a 1 or 2 course lunch slightly reduced price lunch option from the starred items on the menu, we decided we were not that hungry and decided on a 1 course option and opted to try the Steak "Pie", priced at £1 off the main menu price of £9.95, but unfortunately we were disappointed, the plates were cold and the steak pie was in effect a separate dish filled with a stew with a pastry square place on top, definitely not steak pie, the roasted veg were a little oily and slightly undercooked, very al dente. The "hand cut chips" were more like potato wedges, I have worked in the catering trade and most chips everywhere apart from McDonalds and chip shops are hand cut, don't understand the menu description. Only redeeming feature was the waitress, who welcomed us warmly and looked after us well and the water, tap, was free and served nicely with ice and lemon. When receiving the bill, they had not taken off the £1 per main course, this was quickly rectified though. Overall though unlikely to return.

Had a beautiful meal here with friends on the 21st December. Relaxing warm setting with friendly service. Food was fantastic and great value for money. Would definately return to try more food.

the restaurant and he bar are in one area seperated by a screen I would rather the restaurant stood alone as the noise from the public bar was distracting.having said that the food was excellent as was the service and would have no hesitation in returning and recommending to others.

Having visited avenue previously with friends and had mixed reviews we decided to give it another go, as there has been recent renovation taking place.Decor looking much sharper and the food is certainly to match. Food was cooked to perfection and presentation was to a standard unexpected,staff were attentive and polite and would certainly return and recommend.

First time to this place and we will be back, food and the service was brilliant, the reason behind the 4 stars is, my sons fish was and my wife's onion rings were a bit greasy, think they should have been left to let the batter drip a bit longer before they were served. Apart from that an amazing lunch

I ate here with a group of four on a Friday night. When we arrived it was obvious that they were really busy and, even though we had booked a table, we had to wait for 15 minutes to be seated. It then took ages for our order to be taken and we didn't get our starters until an hour after we had arrived, by which point we were all pretty hungry. At no point were the delays acknowledged by the staff.However, the food was very good and we all enjoyed the dishes we ordered. I would go back but would probably not go at a busy time, perhaps trying to come in earlier to take advantage of the set menu which appeared to be good value.

I had the haddock and it was lovely, staff very friendly and a great selection of wine, great little place.

As a frequent visitor to Glasgow for food, me and my partner decided to try local; "Avenue".First impressions were good, nicely decorated and such Have to agree with a previous reviewer in saying this place is more of a bar/bistro. The prices were relatively high, for the quality of food.For starter I had (overcooked?) Breaded deep fried ham hough balls. I say over cooked, as they were rock solid, disappointing, but roll on the main.Butterfly chicken breast, with mash and haggis fritters, with either peppercorn or garlic sauce (opted for latter).I'm not a chef, but I'm positive the mash was instant, parts of it were chewy and quite off putting. The chicken was bland, but it didn't claim to be seasoned. The best part of my meal was the haggis fritters, they were excellent. Partner started with bruschetta, which I think may have been microwaved, she enjoyed it however. Main was standard cheeseburger with either steak cut, or skinny fries ( her decision was skinny, luckily the waitress was a mind reader and didn't need to ask ).Staff looked as if they didn't want to be there. Not really sure what " Avenue" is. Feel its definitely more suited to being a bar, but the prices suggest restaurant. Definitely very average, and would suggest a few other places around the Coatbridge & Airdrie area.Maybe it was a bad day, will try again some day, but will probably opt for a cheaper dish. I felt robbed.

I have been here before and the food was average however today scallops and steak was excellent. New chef new supplier I don't know but much much better only thing sitting at a table near side door and a bit cold.

booked a table for myself & my fiancée...had scallops for starters(which were fantastic)..steak & hand cut chips for the main....steak was cooked 2 perfection and the chips were delicious.......had some cocktails to round the meal off which were equally delicious...highly recommend the avenue,will definitely come again

Had a cracking meal in this Best pub/restaurant based in Lanarkshire. By far the best in Airdrie if not Lanarkshire that I have eaten in... Food is amazing and the drink and atmosphere is great. Highly recommend

This is more of a bar come bistro kind of eating house.when we entered we showed to our table with a charming young man .we ordered car licence mushrooms and then risotto which were delicious and a nice bottle proceco. The service is first class and will be returning for sure

We recently visited for a family pre Christmas dinner. We are regular visitors to this bar and the food and service have always been outstanding, but I must say they excelled themselves this time. The food could be served in a top restuarant, and the prices are amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. A particular mention of the wild mushroom risotto. Staff are alway attentive friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Avenue for a top quality, affordable dining experience.

Purchased some vouchers from living social which included a starter and steak for 10 pounds per person. The food was lovely and the service was great. The waitress/manager was pleasant and efficient. Would definitely recommend.

We visited the avenue for exmas lunch and we loved .We were served by a lovely young lad who was very polite and courteous. We had prawn an crabfish to start followed by the mushroom risotto and both meals were lovely.this is a lovely little bar grill and has a large menus to choose from,

Visited with two friends of many years from school. I remember building from years ago as a working men's pub. We all had fish and chips which were good, only complaint is plates were cold . Two courses £9.95 and I had very acceptable apple crumble for desert. The menu is varied enough but all main meals , would have been nice to have been able to have soup , sandwich or even a combo. One criticism the ladies toilet I used had wall paper hanging from wall, not a very good impression of clientele.

Been a few times at different times of day and night and never been disappointed with the food and service. Can get busy at the weekend so best to book a table if you're eating!!

Visited hear with my friends first time been here service was great the guy serving us was very good and very attentive but we where disappointed with our food maybe try again see if second time lucky

We have eaten here as a family on a number of occasions. I live in London but enjoy coming to Avenue each time I come home. The service is always impeccable, everyone always have a smile on their faces. The food is always mmm! We have never had a bad meal here. The only thing I would comment on is keep an eye on the upkeep of the place. The menu's are starting to look a bit tatty and the toilets could do with a little bit of a touch up. Overall, it is a lovely place to have a very reasonably priced meal.

Myself and 4 friends ate here on Wednesday night. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Two of my friends had never eaten there before and will definitely be coming back. The Xmas lunch/dinner menu is now out and we are planning to go back for that, again reasonable priced.

Visited on a quiet Sunday night for a meal and glass of wine. I had the steak pie and it was delicious. We had a bottle of Merlot too that was lovely. I also had sticky toffee pudding for dessert that is recommended! great place for a meal and drinks with friends, and friendly, attentive staff too. We will be back!

We were staying in Airdrie at the Knights Rest and when we enquired about somewhere nice to eat we were recommended this place. They have a genuine 10% off deal if you're staying at the Knights Rest. Decor is very nice, the staff are fab! Particularly a young lady named Mariesa, she was great, really pleasant and bubbly, she made our evening even more pleasant. Now the food, well that was to die for! Excellent quality, beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Would highly recommend!

The Avenue has great food, and a wide selection of beers, etc. in a modern, bright atmosphere. It is one of the cleanest and tidiest bar/restaurants I've been in for a long time. Food quality is always fantastic and the portions are more than generous (beware of the desserts if you're watching your weight).

We were staying at the Dakota nearby and wanted to get out for some food. We drove round a bit through Airdrie and came across the Avenue.This was a great find. A good looking bar that was quiet on a Wednesday night, save for the football on TV. The restaurant, which is situated towards the back of the bar has a good number of tables and not too tightly packed in which gives some privacy.The wine choices were reasonable but it was the food that was the star. Our dishes were excellent and I noted that the other dishes coming from the kitchen were equally mouth-watering and well presented.The quality of the food was very good, not just in the cooking but in very best ingredients.Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Close to town center gorgeous food the menu was good was in Airdrie for 3days and we ate here every day the staff are such a friendly bunch great prices and i must say "compliments to the chefs" i highly recommend you try this place out

6 of us went for aeal whilst up for a major sporting event locally. We were advised to come to this place by the Band B owner and we were not dissapointed. Great food good beet and fantastic staff. So good we booked the next night. Top tip Tey the home made steak pie. 5 *

My partner and I went for lunch here. We were quickly seated as it was early lunch time and not busy. We were given menus and ordered drinks. For starter we both had the mini pork and chorizo burger. We both loved it. The flavour was absolutely great and the burger was juicy and cooked well. For main I had the goats cheese tart with spinach and red onion. I've had this type of tart before in other restaurants with slight variations but this one blew them out the water. One of the most memorable dishes I've ever eaten. The pastry was short and crumbly. The caramelised red onion with the cheese on top were just divine. My partner had the steak pie. The meat was soft, tender and delicious. Both very very happy customers.

This restaurant and bar are first class. Booking is essential as you can sometimes arrive and find the place fully booked. Had an enjoyable late afternoon drinks followed by dinner here. Excellent service and the food was outstanding. Drinks and food are very reasonable priced and it has a great atmosphere with lovely seating areas. Occasionally a DJ is on later in the evening or live music entertainment. Well worth a visit.

Ambiance of the place is great, bar staff is very helpful and nice and I have no words to describe the food, it really is phenomenal, I'd give it a Michelin Star.

Visited the Avenue on a Groupon deal for the Scallops and Steak menu. Never tried Scallop before but they were cooked to perfection and I thoroughly enjoyed them. the steak was also cooked just they way we asked so overall the service and the food was excellent. It's in an ideal location for us as we live locally so I would definately recommend this for either lunch or dinner.

My boyfriend and I come here a lot as it is just down the road. The food is always amazing and the service is always on point. Great prices for the standard of meals cooked! Highly recommend for a meal or even just drinks.

We have come to Airdrie from England for a few days holiday, using our B & B as a base and enjoying it all. The B&B owner suggested it and highly praised it. So we went for a tea time special . 5 of us had a starter a main course and a drink all for under £10 a head . You would not believe the flavour heat and portion size. Wow what a place. The only thing I would say against it is replace your sign outside I nearly missed you. Excellent food and very very surprising quality for a pub. We wish pubs near us in England had same great food. The staff are very friendly and have a good sense of humour and service. Well Done.

I visited here before attending an evening in Airdrie Town Hall. Very close to the venue so ideal. Fantastic service (waiter asked if we were attending the function in Town Hall in order that we could be given priority service) fantastic value for money and fantastic food. Quite a hidden treasure really and I would highly recommend this as an eating establishment if you were going to something in Airdrie Town Hall. Only downside is parking which is either on a side street or on the main road.
