Amazing! The blueberries are fantastic and bought a bunch of plants too!

A nice little garden centre. We come here every summer with our grandson for the pick-your-own blueberries. It's cheaper than the supermarkets and fun too.

Superb garden centre, well a nursery really - knowledgable and helpful staff, lovely relaxed atmosphere, good selection of plants and also sells some other items such as greeting cards. Always happy to provide guidance and answer questions with no hard-sell of product. Place is very tidy and easy to navigate & find what you are looking for. It’s a joy to visit, and take time to select plants. A wonderful destination for novice to experienced gardeners.

Hidden from the road but it has a wide variety of plants and gardening tools. We're not from the area but come from the yearly blueberry "pilgrimage" a pick your own that is the best blueberry you will taste in your life!!

Smallish garden centre. Modest stock of plants but well priced and often some good bargains. Gravel car park. Rarely gets as busy as some of the larger garden centres

Avalon is a GARDEN CENTRE, not a gift shop, cafe, delicatessent or children's playground. It is all the better for this !! The plants are in excellent condition whenever we visit. There is a good variety to choose from and the prices are reasonable I highly recommend visiting this excellent garden centre

What a hidden gem! Driven past so many times and now wish I'd gone in much sooner!

To be honest, we only went here for a coffee. There hasn't been a coffee shop here for some time as they have extended the garden centre into where the coffee shop used to be.

Went to pick blueberries. They were yummy and so nice to pick them in this country rather then them coming in plastic from overseas! It was slightly expensive, but worth it! Made delicious blueberry pancakes with blueberry compote..😋

We arrived seven minutes after official closing time. The manager begrudgingly let us in to purchase a broom. We had a quick look at the potted plants and were quickly set upon by the manager and aggressively berated for having the nerve to look at potted plants when we wanted a broom. If I treated my customers in my successful retail business like this, for when they come in late, I would be years back from where we are now. Such aggressive behaviour is not acceptable. This chap needs to sprint to a customer care course. Shame, as I always do my best to support local independents.

Saw a sign for pick your own blueberries and couldn't resist! 100% lived up to expectations; beautiful plentiful picking, and much better tasting than from the shops. Have spent the last couple of days making blueberry muffins and pancakes! Get a punnet and get picking, you won't be disappointed, and it seems now (late august / early sept) is PRIME PICKING!

Good value garden centre, plenty of parking and helpful staff.

Every time I want a gift and I need it last minute I go to Avalon. I live about 10 minutes away by car. I also bought my hanging basket plants from here and they would have done amazingly by now if we'd have had some warm weather, there are plenty of buds waiting to open so I'm ever hopeful for a grand display.

Amazing service and very helpful staff

Despite this is a very convenient garden centre for us, I would make the journey even if it was not. The reasons are simple; the organisation of the plants outside is excellent - there is no trouble finding anything and each shelf is clearly marked - the flowers all laid out very nicely. Furthermore, this is far cheaper than the major garden centre in Frensham which to be fair, has more choice. However, Avalon has all we need and I can thoroughly recommend a visit. Incidentally, the selection of potted vegetable seedlings is extensive!

Avalon is a great local garden centre, with all the compost, grit, grow bags, seeds, tools and more you need, plus a small section of food and gifts. This suits me very well, as I find many garden centres treat food and gifts as their main business. The plants at Avalon deserve their own paragraph, as they are excellent. They are well looked after and of really good quality. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Organised. Nice staff. Clean. Great selection of healthy autumn plants on display. Enormous Tulip selection and composts. Can't wait to visit later again today, buy more colourful plants and get planting for winter months. I also came away from Avalon with quality jams, cakes, biscuits, flour for the bread many of us are now baking.

A great place for plants and to get help .

I moved to this area last year. I visited Avalon soon after and have been back numerous times since. Simply excellent. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. All garden centres should be like Avalon. Difficult businesses to run but they have nailed it.

This is my local garden centre! It is the best of them all! The prices are fair compare with the chain garden centres around. I always enjoy very much my trips to Avalon

This place needs to be kept a secret. Happy to visit each weekend in blueberry season but reason is not to be broadcasted

I called and arranged to pick up some garden compost - it was waiting in a trolley in the car park all social distancing rules adhered too. Great service and friendly advice on some lawn feed as well. Love this place during normal times and very happy to support them through this current situation.

I've never used the cafe, but it's a great garden center with a good selection of healthy plants, seeds and garden necessities at competitive prices. If you want a "complete shopping experience", go to Squires. If you need something for your garden, this is the place.

Recently expanded. Our favourite local garden centre. Friendly staff and a great selection of plants. So nice to be able to visit a garden centre that is not a carbon copy of all the Squires that are everywhere round here.

Always welcoming, very friendly. Their plants are very good quality and reasonably priced. Nice cafe too, can recommend the jacket potatoes. They also sell bird seed and various feeders, plant seeds, some gifts, garden tokens. PYO strawberries and blueberries in season.

The staff are so helpful and there is some exciting work going on I got all I needed for my latest project utilizing an old basin.

I can't review the restaurant, but would heartily recommend a bit of Pick-Your-Own Blueberry picking whilst you're there. Amazing amount of bushes with great crops and the blueberries were lovely and great price compared to supermarket.

First time we had been there staff friendly and helpful couldn't do enough for you plus you can have a lovely cup of tea or coffee and cake.

great little café with outside seating should you choose, lovely proper home made sandwiches which were lovely, Great service and good prices. Worth taking the time if at the garden center or just passing.

Café inside the garden centre serving basic food such as cheese on toast and baked beans, and some vacuum packed cakes. You are sitting inside, between the plastic plants and other garden equipment and ornaments that are on sale. Not particularly atmospheric. Seems like a missed opportunity... friendly service.

We had a lovely cake and coffee here and looked around and got some reasonable priced plants for our hanging baskets, friendly staff and a nice old fashioned atmosphere, unlike some of the huge plastic ones around nowadays.

Friendly knowledgable staff. All plants healthy and well cared for. There is a gift shop as well as plenty of other products you can purchase. In the summer months there is a pick your own of strawberries and blueberries.

We came to pick blueberries and discovered this little cafe. Small menu, but good food and very pleasant and helpful staff. Check out the nursery too - very healthy plants, and a very good selection.

Avalon might not have the scale of some of the garden centres in the area, but what they do have is a fine selection of plants, often some oddities at excellent prices. The staff are very knowledgeable and welcome any questions about the plants. It's my 'go to' nursery in the area for inspiration and knowledge.

Went to a view a car located nearby, saw signs advertising Tea Rooms so called in before heading home. Lovely cafe located at back of garden centre, very clean and well laid out. Choice of tea and various coffees, lots of lovely cakes and a nice snack menu including jacket potatoes, toasted sandwiches and beans on toast. Opted for a toasted sandwich, toast and butter and two slices of coffee cake with a tea and a coffee. Bill came to about £12. Food was lovely, cake was heavenly and staff were very friendly. Great little place which I am sure gets busy as the garden centre seemed to have some nice items for sale too. Good for a weekend wander with a tea break thrown in for good measure. Great little place and would recommend.
